My order arrived quickly and was in good condition!! It’s a gift for my son-in- law!
Looks exactly as it did in the picture!
I’m sure he’ll enjoy this!!
A muchos les puede parecer elevado el precio pero la calidad y el detalle que ofrecen esta linea de naves es increble.
Love this model! Excellent detail, and a very welcomed addition to my collection!
Good star wars model, but mine came slightly chiped at the end of one of the wings.
The Model arrived on the day they promised and it and the box was in perfect condition.
The Model itself is Beautiful. If you’re a Armada player or just simply collecting the Models you should add this to your collection. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed .
I amended my review: I found the missing piece. One model was bent/near broken. The rest were grea

Great value. Comes with the ship and two squadrons. Pretty beefy ship.
Even though these are not as big as the key parts of armada the details put into each little tie squadron is insane
Very impressive model as always, the upgrade cards are definitely unique for Rebel fighters
A lot of decent upgrades for your Star destroyers and 6 ship cards of 2 new variants -Kuat and Cymoon.
Thrawn is a good commander, if a little OP.
The model itself has all the superb detail you’d expect, but the pattern of the Chimaera is far too bold and garish. This can be improved with a thin coat/wash of very light grey, which i applied to my original ISD to soften the dark grey hull plates.
Great addition to the game.
Painting tips; prime white or pale grey, then wash with black to help bring out the minute details.
This epansion may seem expensive, I bought it with no idea of everything inside it but soon opening it I found so much useful stuff as I go to tournements the mission cards are unusual and really affect how the play style works. The squadrons are really appealing as you start to see Star Wars novels coming into the game like Nora Wexley who is a rebel pilot in the aftermath trilogy
A well detailed model, a great display piece and a wonderful addition to the rebel fleet.
A truly beautiful model, worth getting even if you don’t play but a must buy for anyone who does!
Very cool ship, another excellent model, maybe not the first thing to buy if you are new to the game as it takes some learning to get the most out of it!
At first I was sceptical about another Imperial Star Destroyer worried this was simply a reprint. However the additional ships that come with it are only one bonus. It also includes enough bases and ship cards to convert your existing ISD ship into another Chimera type ship, so you can benefit from having multiple upgraded star destroyers without having to buy this one expansion multiple times.
Lovely well detailed little model. Little is the correct work for it as it’s only about an inch and a half long.
The detailing on it is fantastic and makes a great addition to an imperial fleet to help manage pesky rebel fighters and corvettes
One of the few ships I’m considering getting another of. The primary function of this ship isn’t really that useful (changing other players speed), YET (it may be useful later) but it has some other unorthodox usefulness as a tank/healer. With 9 hull, and a 2 Command ability, you’re essentially getting a cheaper Imperial Star Destroyer with the Relentless title, without the forward guns. If you drop an engineering token on this thing and use an engineering command dial, you get 8 engineering points in one round which allows a TON of healing power. Throw on Wulff Yularen (who lets you get that token back), and some projection experts, then you have healer who can shoot 2 shields to another ship, and heal 2 damage cards (or 3 shields) on itself every turn that you draw a engineering command.
Update (3/6/2019): Ok, so… I now have three of these. With only 400 points to spare, the strategy I’ve come up with is to make them all tanky, and to have objectives that require you to collect tokens for points rather than guns. And it’s worked pretty well. For extra meanness, I threw the gravity well projector on all three, and that’s enough to completely blanket the other player’s deployment zone so that every ship he deploys must start at speed zero. Threw tractor beams on each one also, so any medium or small ships that come close (after speeding back up) get slowed right back down. However, if you’re facing a fleet with Admiral Ozzel (like I did the first time I tried this tactic), Ozzel ruins all your speed changing abilities.
Surprisingly effective, especially with concentrate fire command dials. Suppressor works great, smart choice to bolster any fleet.
Really good , gonna be a good edition to my collectio
Great deal on these ships! Key part of a good rebel fleet these days.
used to play BFG (battle field gothic) but sadly that died. now play stars wars armada brilliant game a bit pricey but most hobbies are and its a one off payment as the models last a life time. rules for most of the game are simply except for fighter squadrons. its a very enjoyable game …
Item described as damaged box, which was a bit crushed but the contents were immaculate.
Excellent product, well detailed and extremely fun. I recommend it if you like strategy games. With a variety of ships and improvement cards.
A fantastic kit that really looks the part and adds a bit more variety to my imperial fleet. Well worth i
Very happy brother-in-law. A perfect addition to his growing armada!
Excellent addition to any Rebel commanders fleet, set course and push forward at ramming speed!
Arrived early and and a cool looking model. its a nice little cheap ship that can help a good deal with those pesky squadrons. Also pretty funny to fly in swarms and cheap enough to field a few of them.
Excellent model with some cool upgrade cards. Not really much more I can say really, I bought it along with loads of other ships for Armada.
Excellent model with some cool upgrade cards, not much more i can say really, I bought it along side a load of other ships for Armada.
Arrived quickly, the title upgrades and XI7 upgrade make it worth the buy. And as far as that the one star reveiw below goes, yea they’re small, they’re miniatures. mini…miniatures.. as in small, ya gibbo
Every Imperial player needs 2 big cheeses. Armada players will understand.
Keep your nose to the enemy, as you only have two shield points starboard, port, and stern. Withering forward bombardments are very useful, though.
Good all-rounder with nice suite of upgrade choices. Too bad about the design and paint job. Not very ‘Star Wars’ and mine got a paint job, but if you’re collecting rebels it’s performance will forget it’s appearance, particulary against Victory class destroyers.
Good price, and what I needed for my Star Wars armada fleet!
Exactly what I wanted for my Star Wars armada, and fast delivery!
Great little addition, nice detailed models, opens up new gameplay possibilities.
I don’t even play the game- but the quality of the minis was well worth the cost of the pack!
Very good expansion. Nice models as always. Most of my Imperial fleets include at least 1 if not 2 of these.
Adds some fun new unique squadron cards for the first Rebel and Imperial fighters expansion packs. It also adds some fun new objectives, and the campaign itself is good to play. It certainly adds a new dimension to Armada. A must have for any keen player!
Great addition to the rebel flet. Some nice abilities from fan favourites like Corran Horn and Hera Syndula. Finnicky to paint so take your time.
Great additions to the game. Superb pilots in Maarek Stele for the TIE Defenders and Morna Kay for one of my favourite ships, the Decimator.
Perfect for the game, good addition to my nebulon fleet!
Finally rebels got heavy front ark ship. Becoming my favorite ship. Only weakness i can find is the ship is pretty slow(speed 2).
I honestly love this ship! It is a great expansion for the game, it looks great when I put it on display when I am not playing, and best of all, the thing is HUGE! Easily the size of my hand! I wasn’t expecting that, but I’m glad it is that big!
One of the larger models from the first few Rebel waves and, in my opinion, one of the largest. It’s decked out for two potential main configurations — a heavy hitter with a pretty heft hull value, or a fleet escort style loadout with additional squadron capability. The upgrade cards are geared around these configurations as well. It can go toe to toe with most of the larger Imperial ships when using the Assault formation or, my personal favorite, load it up with upgrades that allow you to re-activate squadrons and reduce nearby squadron damage and you have a pretty strong flight command.
Overall, it’s a pretty solid multi-purpose ship and I’d say it is essential to any good Rebel fleet.
Product arrived and was as advertised. Nice small supplement that provides additional replay value without taking up a lot of space (no pun intended).
Great to see more ships from Rebels TV show turning up in FFG games.
A great edition to a great game. Adds a lot to the rebel ships and when released was the only rebel heavy hitter though there are many alternatives now. I still struggle with the pricing on these items but it is what it is.
A great edition to an imperial fleet. It is fast and heavy hitting.
Pricing is my only reason for mark down. This is a general FFG pricing struggle I have considering how much money you need to pump in to games to make them worthwhile. Not aimed at any individual seller or Amazon.
It is still a great game and a lot of fun.

Llegaron antes de lo esperado y son justo lo que dice.
Para nada son un desperdicio, lamento que el juego original no venga con ms dados, pues se requieren desde las primeras partidas. No son indispensables pero hacen ms fcil el juego.
It’s a good starter kit, doing it’s intended function, but to continue playing on a normal level, you’ll have to buy a lot of expansion packs.
But if you just want to try Armada – this box is well worth the price.
I found this piece is what the Imperials really needed — a smaller, fast and versitile ship. Size wise, it is about the size of the Nebulon-B escort frigate, and the model is quite detailed for its small size. It comes with the standard assortment of upgrade cards for any ship: commander upgrade (Admiral Ozzel), two titles and ship type cards, and the usual weapons/officers/defensive/etc cards.
What was surprising to me is that although this ship is advertised as an anti-squadron ship, I found it extremely useful as a frontline attack ship. It cane roll two dice at fighters, and the front armament offers four dice. With two evade tokens, two shields on all sides and up to level four movement, this thing is pretty great at all roles.
Cool little ship that can totally change the way your imperial fleet is flown. You may want a couple of them though.
Really engrossing game
Too easy to get addicted
Must control spending
Part of a game, when I bought it I thought it was part of a game. Was not disappointed.
Good expansion, great model and great quality cards as usual for fantasy flight, thinking of getting a second of these.
I don’t usually get a chance to play, but the quality of all the minutures from star wars armada and x wing make them good display pieces regardless.
Used this ship in a couple of games and it’s great! Maneuver side ways on up close and let loose with those black dice!!!!!! Great ship for me at the moment I can see it being in my lists for quite a while
Excellent set, adds loads to the game. Arrived on time, in good condition.
Superb model, nicely painted with good detail.
When you consider the quality of the finished product, the price is very reasonable
Enhanced the game really well, enjoyable addition to the game.
A great pack that gives you 8 detailed models. 4 rebels 4 empire. I won’t lie my favourites are the milenieum falcon and slave 1 but there is a great balance of ships. The models come unpainted but take no time to add abit of colour to bring the models to life.
Brilliant product! First one I ordered was slightly damaged but was replaced easily! Many hours of fu
his my the first rebel armada expansion pack. the side arks are one red die away from the front ark of the victory I. this ship has 15 dice total (16 dice total with anti squadron die) witch is 1 more than the victory star destroyer. this ship comes with 10 upgrade cards. the MC30 comes with 4 defense tokens, sadly two of them can not be used at close range witch is where most of the attacking dice are. but if you can get behind the other person’s ships at close range, they don’t have a lot of dice you do. most of the dice are in the side arks of the MC30 and the side arks are always bigger than the front (well with mine anyways) so you have a wide firing ark, so do the math. deadly attacking dice + wide range = 🙁 . there is what I think about it so i’ll do the pros and and cons.
pros:
has more shielding than the victory star destroyer.
has a lot of attacking dice
can go to speed four
has four defense tokens
lots of details
can hold six upgrade cards
cons:
low hull value
no brace tokens
not very agile
low squadron value
one anti squadron die
so over all this is a good buy and i would buy it again.
Just in case people are unsure or confused in any way, this is not a boardgame, like fantasy flights X-wing it crosses certain boundaries between tabletop wargame and boardgame but in my opinion it sits pretty firmly on the wargame side of the fence. Also anyone thinking this is just X-wing but with big ships it is most definately not, there is nothing comparable about the two whatsoever.
It does require further investment in the later expansions to really get the best out of the game so if that initial price tag seems too high this probably is not the game for you, but I personally think you are missing out.
It’s a scaled down Imperial Star Destroyer! Everything from the turbo lasers to the shield generators are right! Probably a little expensive because you only get the one ship, but in terms of the game you are buying for, it is one of the most powerful ships you can currently field.
So, the first thing to get out of the way is the price, 60-70 is a lot to shell out if you are unsure about this product, that said the game is near enough ready to play out of the box (with a minor amount of assembly). You’ll easily get hours of games out of this set alone, but as with any table top game, it really comes into its own with the additional expansion packs, which as I’ve seen so far, are actually very fairly priced.
The game itself is incredibly easy to understand, after one quick practice game both myself and a friend pretty much had the rules covered. My single biggest gripe with this set is the number of dice you get, (3 black, 3 blue, 3 red) when there are multiple ship set ups and the fighters which each require 4 blue dice, sure you can reroll, but it would have felt more like a complete set with at least 4 of each dice. That said, a new set of dice is only about 6.
I’ve already started to purchase several expansion ships and sets to see how this game gets going with more ships on the table.
Yes, you do need to have at least 2 core sets to have a proper game (but you also need to have 2 people). Yes, it is expensive, but that depends on the frame of reference. Compared to Warhammer it’s really not that much. It’s ridiculous to criticise it for its price alone. The question is, is it worth it. The game mechanic is so much fun, hugely exciting and ‘realistic’. The complexity is amazing. Perfect for a lazy afternoon with a fellow star wars geek.
Brilliant game. Unlimited playability. Good community and opportunity for local games. But you will need to spend at least 150 to get enough ships to play a decent game as the core box does have limited replayability on its own. Not a cheap game to get into but once you have, you won’t regret it.
Needed this for a list for x wing, and it’s helped me win a few tournaments
If you like star wars and table top war fair then you my enjoy playing this game, the rules are straight forward with really good detailed models.
Simply amazing detail on the ships. It takes a few hours to assemble and I have only played the learning scenario, so my only advice is don’t get your Nebulon B court in the front and side arcs of a Star Destroyer at close range!
Love it!
I don’t play the Armada game so can’t comment on gameplay. I bought this solely for display purposes. This is THE best Star Destroyer model I’ve seen. Ridges, gunports and antenna arrays are highly detailed and look fantastic. The ship is mostly grey with some darker shades throughout to add texture. The only non-greyscale or black coloring is on the engine ports which have a nicely shaded afterburner blue on the inside. It’s a good effect that doesn’t look silly like on some other models I’ve seen. The ship measures 8″ from front to back. My two areas of mild disappointment were on the underside: 1) The capture bay doesn’t seem as deep as it appeared in the movies and its interior detail isn’t as accurate as the rest of the model. 2) They chose to place the display stand connector right on the giant belly dome and it affects the appearance of the dome. These are minor gripes though. Overall this is a fantastic piece.
I got mine on sale from an Amazon vendor for $34. If you’re considering this for display purposes I think you’ll be satisfied at the suggested retail, but if you can get it cheaper like I did buy it immediately.
Fun and fairly easy to pick up. The combination of capital ships and fighters makes for a tactical game. Looking forward to getting more ships already.
Very good and interesting game, my kids are really excited. But a little bit expensive, it took me a month to decide weather I will buy it or not 🙂
Fanastic game simple starter rules help make advanced rules easy to pick up
Adds some much needed speed to Imperial fleets.
My favourite way to equip them is is A Gladiator-I using the Demolisher card, Engine Techs, Assault Concussion Missiles and Wulff Yularen for 88 points. It can now fire, move, move again then fire a close range broadside of black dice and get splash damage onto adjacent hull arcs.
If you love Xwing then you’ll take a bit longer to get to grips with this one but it is awesome none the less.
Another money pit from Fantasy Flight Games
Superb mechanics for fleet battles, one of the best anywhere. Great game and not just because it’s Star Wars.
Good price service quality all good cant say more
I’m happy
Plays a little differently from XWing, and its a lot quicker to play than we thought. Once we knew the rules the game lasted all of 30 mins, grated it was a small game but made it more social with smaller faster games.
ot played this yet but watching the games means I will. the components are of a high quality (although I don’t think I’d pay full RSP for it)
A great ship that has changed the way I play the game.
Great addition to the Armada game, good to see the prices are more reasonable than the “list” price
Great game. Evokes the fleet battles you’d expect to see in Star Wars.
Well worth having in your fleet, and good support to a Victory. The enhancement card that gives you the ability fire, move and fire is really useful.
Fun game with very nice components. A bit expensive considering it’s really only a starting point for a game that will benefit greatly from expansions. What’s here is good, but a little limiting. Would recommend a friend pick up a second copy of this and you combine the two to play.
The ultimate Star Wars license release of 2015!
Fantastic production quality and refined rules make for a great fun boardgame/miniature game experience.
Highly recommended.
Fantastic game – have had great fun Would recommend to any starwars fa
Ok lets kick off and say this game is worth every penny.
Here on amazon price is not an issue you can get the game for well under the retail 80 .
Build quality of the models is top notch.
Paint quality is superb although if you were to be nit picky the nebulon is a little dull.
Gaming is brilliant capturing the feel of star wars combat with big ships superbly with the added bonus of ship and crew upgrades to add even more flavour you couldnt ask for more.
I really enjoyed playing X Wing but this is even better in many respects. You have to carefully consider your strategy. Get it wrong and you are toast!
There is only one thing holding this back from being a 5 star review. The price, I know Amazon are selling it for a serious mark down, but I personally think 60 is what the rrp for this should be.
Now I’ve dispensed with the elephant in the room, I can talk about the game. It’s awesome! It’s the thinking man’s x-wing. It all slots together nicely the command stacks for the big ships really give nice feel for orders having to work through the chain of command of a big ship. The maneuver tool is very well thought out and is not a gimic but another well fitting cog in the game mechanics. Finally the scale whilst it is a sliding scale works fine the fighter squadrons are dwarfed by the Victory Class and even look small next to the Corvette. All of this comes together to make the game come to life and really use the theme well.
Is it expensive, yes. But is it fun, hell yeah.
Sit in the big chair and have fun and remember when in doubt “It’s a trap!”
The price on this seems quite reasonable compared with modern premium board games and other table top games out there. You do get a lot in the box, the 3 ships shown, 10 fighter squadrons (each with 3 fighter models), plastic distance guide, full dice set, large card set and many many cardboard tokens. I found it an acceptable price for the contents.
The game it’s self is great fun. The starter senario is quite straight forward, but let’s you get a good idea on the rules. After this the upgrades, crew options and further objectives are opened up. All the upgrades let you significantly alter the approach you take and can have a big affect on the outcome (ie. Heavy firepower at short range might be useless if you’re apponent has gone for a long range and fast ship approach). I’ve played a few games and it has been quite different each time. The games take around 1 hour, including set up, which is less than indicated on the box. Like so many board games the rules look complicated, but are actually quite intuitive once you start playing and the game flows easily. There are some really nice touches, such as the delay in special orders for larger ships – the ‘bonus’ move/effect of the star destroyer is set 2 turns before it used, so you have to get good at planning ahead. Another is that the ship speed it set and take a command to change, so if you’re running full speed you need to plan how to slow down a few turns in advance.
It is worth pointing out that, as you would expect, it feels like there will be much more to the game with more ships. It seems the options and strategies will really expand with just a couple more ships on the field, so be prepared for further spending to get the most out of this game (I’m yet to buy any more, so just my feeling from how it plays).
Overall, great fun, easily to learn, difficult to master (assuming I manage to) and each game last a good amount of time – just be prepared to spend more.
Well to start the initial price point has already greatly reduced, as to be expected, and I’m sure as more outlets stock them this may improve even further. In comparison to X-Wing there is also clearly more plastic in the box, with larger models and the more technical bases making it better value. Yes I’m going to have to remortgage the house to fully expand the game, especially with the Star Destroyer announced, but along with X-Wing and Imperial Assault to maintain I’m sure a second job or two will help. You could always avoid adding this game to the FFG collection, but the possibilities of over lapping these games in a custom campaign is just too mind blowing not to…
Okay first let me address the price issue. 80 for a core game is a lot and at first glance you don’t get a huge amount for your money: a Victory class Star Destroyer, Rebel CR90 and a Nebulon B (all painted) 6 squadrons of TIE fighter and 4 squadrons of X-Wings (all unpainted) plus all the associated cards and dice, rulebook etc.
So is it worth the money? Well that depends on your point of view but to form a balanced opinion you should at least play the game first.
I got my copy of this Thursday and have played two games so far, both very enjoyable though like x-wing you are going to need expansions to get the most out of this. If you don’t want to outlay the cash to expand the basic game then this probably isn’t the game for you so you might as well stop reading now!
So, my impressions:
The ships are much bigger than the core X-Wing ships, at least the Star Destroyer is! The paintjob on the Victory is good but the rebel ships could do with an ink wash to add definition. The capital ship bases are more complex then X-Wing’s bases since they have inbuilt ‘wheels’ to record shields. The manoeuvre tool for moving the capital ships is also more complex, and plastic.
The squadrons are composed of numerous parts and sit on clever multi-part stands that both record damage and show whether the squadron has been activated. All this added complexity plus the size increase of the ships goes some way to explaining the greatly increased cost of this core set over that of X-Wing.
It’s worth noting that a lot of thought has gone into the design of the various parts and Fantasy Flight have clearly listened to design feedback as a lot of the design ‘niggles’ of X-Wing have been avoided in Armada. The ships for example lock snugly into their bases over the ship card, preventing it from coming lose during play.
A lot of thought has similarly gone into the mechanics and gameplay. The game is deceptively simple and with only 6 rounds doesn’t take more than a couple of hours to play through. There’s less of a reliance on counters in the playing area than X-Wing (no target locks, focus tokens, stress etc) so the board stays uncluttered. Complexity comes though the orders system and mastering this, I think, will separate the Admiral Pietts from the Admiral Ozzels.
Playing this game ‘feels’ like Star Wars. The Victory Star Destroyer feels massive and lumbering and boy do you not want to get caught in its forward arc at close range. The rebel ships are more nimble but more fragile. X-Wing squadrons are excellent all-rounders, able to pummel TIE’s and even threaten the Star Destroyer if used right. TIE fighters of course are numerous but weak, just as they should be.
If I had to make a criticism it’s that the different subtypes of ships are too similar. For example in the background the Victory II is significantly faster than the Victory I but in Armada the Victory I and II seem almost identical, certainly the Victory II is no faster. Still I have only played two games. Maybe as I use them more and compare them their unique flavours will emerge. It’s certainly a pretty small gripe about what has the potential to be a truly great game.
