I don’t see the value in making your own. These are pre-cut and fit pefect.
Proud of their products but perfect for what they do.
Hey, it’s festool! It just works! Only con is the price…
Solid product. So much better than doing mortis and tenon on your own.
The tendon stock was of good quality and arrived in a timely fashio
I’ve use the festool domino system to build chairs, tables, beds, counters, desks, etc. I’m the sort of woodworker that focuses on productivity rather than fancy joints (like hand cut dovetails, mortise/tennons, etc). I want something strong and fast. The festool domino system is the perfect solution and these tenons (with domino cutter) are a great solution for strong, fast and clean joints.
Yes the system is expensive, but if you are serious about building this is going to save you a lot of time. It takes less than a couple min to cut the mortises with this system, glue, add tendon and clamp. Easy!
What can you say – Festool is awesome. Festool costs too much.
These are THE BEST for wood craftsmen. Gave them to a furniture/cabinet artisan and he swears by them. You will need the tool that makes the slot in the wood for using them and some Tite Bond III glue for best results.
This is the way to buy Dominos. Cut to any length you like.
Much much much more affordable than buying them pre-cut.
They are used in place of a traditional mortise and tenon.
Very strong and easy to use.
