Been using for 5 months now about 10 hrs a week. I’ve liked it a ton more than a chest strap. Rechargeable battery that holds a charge along time I charge it like once a month, Bluetooth ANT+ Was easy to pair to my Lezyne bike cpu, no electrodes to get corroded. I wear it just above my bicep even though that’s not where it says to wear it and it stays put under my jersey sleeve. Doesn’t get real sweaty on the arm like chest straps do. And it’s been just as accurate as any chest monitor I’ve tried! Still will have to see if it lasts longer Than chest straps usually do for me but indication says it will. It’s light well built and performs awesome so glad I made the switch. About the only thing that I’d dig on it is the vibration it makes when you hit 165 bpm ( witch is like any climb when I ride) it’s not bad but, I’d rather it didn’t have this function or I could turn it off. Not a deal breaker by any means just something I wish it didn’t do. You get used to it and it doesn’t keep vibrating as your HR climbs past 165 only when it hits that magic number.

** Update: The owner contacted me to let me know that they would replace the unit because I had owned it less than the one year warranty. They sent me another one free of charge.

I used this with the peloton bike and it worked really well. The heart rate readings were almost exactly the same as my Google watch heart rate readings. I wanted the arm band so it would show the numbers in the peloton screen. The watch worked for 4 months and then stopped working entirely. I am disappointed to have to get another one.

I use this with Open tracks for a complete privacy respecting experience. No crappy “value add” to lock you in or spy on you.

I needed a new heart rate monitor for my bicycle and GPSr while hiking because of my cardio vascular condition that caused a stroke several years ago.
I need to keep my heart rate at a safe level.
This gives me real time heart rate readings on my bicycle handlebar that is large enough to read at a glance.

Very easy set-up. I got the wahoo app for my iPhone 11, works perfectly.
The ANT+ works great on my Garmin Montana 650 GPSr also.
The armband is comfortable, stays where you put it and works fine.

Does exactly what the description says

Let me first say I like the product very much. The fitment is a bit deceiving. I thought the orange band would go all the way around my forearm but it doesn’t. Obviously the same if using it on the upper arm. Maybe I’m missing something. Wither way fir the money it works great and syncs to the Peloton quick and easily and that’s all I use it for ( strive score).

It tracks as accurately as items that cost more than twice. More importantly battery life is 5 times more than a device like Polar wrist based device. Once placed properly (place it on my arm near my shoulder)Have no problem getting it to integrate with other devices (use it for cycling so I have it working with my bike computer). Highly recommend and would buy agai

As a professional coach, I’ve used a lot of different heart-rate products. This works as well as those costing double an, as a bonus, it is smaller. It works well reliably, has excellent battery life and charges very quickly. I’ve bought a few of these and used them for my workouts as well as with clients and I can’t think of anything negative to say about it.

This is a great fitness watch.
I really like the design of it, i like the stylish red colour.
    It is comfortable to wear.
It is easy to use and understand, and keeps me in tune with my fitness goals.
I definitely have gotten healthy and more aware of the things i do since wearing this watch.
It would make a Great present.
good quality and fantastic price point too.

Works great with map my run.
having had heart issues I do monitor my heart rate probably more than most and have tried a variety of these monitors out mainly the chest straps so I know this monitor is very accurate.
This monitor is very comfortable, there are recomendatiosn where on your arm / wrist you shuld wear this but it comes down to personal choice.
I personally wear this high up on my arm between my goulder and elbow as that’s where I find ot most comfortbale.
With all the fitness trackers out there this doesn’t look out of place, no one will question why your wearing thsi strap as it looks very similiar to a fitness tracker.
Comfortable against the skin, no irratatation even when damp with sweat, very easy to synch toa variety of heart rate apps.
Great value for money and appears well made

Before you read my review you must know I have no interest in the App Functionality, so I am not referring to any of that. Sorry.

What I can say is that this connects via Bluetooth to my Nordictrack s22i and the RW900 rower, so that I can see my Heart Rate on screen. In terms of accuracy, I wear a Samsung Galaxy Watch3 and the BPM is the same, even during HIIT sessions…so I would call it accurate.

It’s very lightweight, and comfortable; you don’t realise you’re wearing it – I wear it on my opposite arm (to the Galaxy Watch) about an inch and half under the inside of my elbow.

The included charger was a pleasent surprise in that it is much better than I expected given the price. It’s like most smart watches where it needs a USB source and the tracker is placed on, as opposed to trying to fit a cable in. For me there are no battery issues, though I am charging it every 10-12 hours…so I haven’t tested it’s limits – I don’t want the risk of it running out on me.

Happy with this for machine use, and to think I was seriously considering spending much more on a Polar.

Overall I think this is an amazing tool if you want to specifically target your burn zone, just the right amount of raised heartbeat; too much and taxing the body/ageing and too little = not in a burn zone and a bit of a wasted time if wanting to slim down.
I am all for consistency over the intensity (I exercise every day) but a certain level of balanced intensity is a must for the results. A gradual and gentle increasing rather than slaughtering the body 3 times a week and recovering for days. That’s a workout plan of martial art practitioner.
I feel this monitor makes my workouts highly scientific. I am not a pro, I am a qualified yoga teacher though. (My pro athlete friend used to use the chest monitor which I found off-putting/restricting). This is friendly, easy to set up and use and I would say accurate.
I like I am taking my own personal training into my own hands.

I didn’t like the red coloured strap at first but it’s actually cool. I can easily spot where I left it and I do like it on as well. After all it is a tool not a wardrobe accessory. The strap is fairly soft, easy to attach/wrap. Washable. At the very fist use I didn’t find it comfortable, (I don’t even like to wear a jewellery) but after 30 mins I forgot it’s on my upper arm. I have quite slender but muscly arms and I am able to wear it there, not sure you could if you have a really big bicep), the other option would be the higher top of the forearm.

It would be great for the usual cardio stuff but I do combined indoor exercise therefore I picked the app Polar Beat because apart from cycling and running it also offers an option of “other indoor” which seems to work well for my high intensity faster pilates workout (low impact) plus stretches.
Whilst the app was kept open I was able to see the bpm fluctuations and I found it highly interesting.
I work the legs first, then arms, glutes, core and back. The legs workout feels a bit tiring and I am often out of breath when doing high controlled balanced kicks but the heartbeat there was at the highest only 143bpm.
When I did arms (which I find really very easy, repetitive moves and pulses into a comfortable stretch causing the muscle burn) my breath was unaffected, but the heart beat went to a maximum 189bpm and it started to vibrate to tell me I am over the limits). I did feel my heartbeat high when notified but not worryingly, without the app I wouldn’t notice. I kept going and got a few more buzzing/notifications and at the end my arm workout was actually the biggest 8 minute burn out of all 1.5hrs workout I did. So, I am not really sure how accurate it is with the certain specific moves (Arms closer to heart? Vigorous arm moves?).
Is it possible for the heartbeat to be so high and still breathing normally?
My resting heart beat is fairly low to an average person but I am comfortable with it. (102/60) I don’t really know if the app works with it or using the average numbers.
I am super intrigued to observe and notice more when consistently using it. It makes the workouts more interesting, that’s for sure. Since you can also compare the days regarding the intensity, the app gives little graphs etc.
Great little tool! I love it. Worth the price. And the app is great, too.

    Love i

My ME/CFS has been getting a lot worse and finally I decided to looking into pacing with my heart rate, as in not to go above a certain threshold to avoid PEM. First thing I did was to charge it and the battery sits perfectly onto its charging base with a gentle magnet to hold it in the correct position. To work out my anaerobic threshold (AT), I did 220-agex0.6 and I got 114.6. Getting the strap on and in position is easy enough, but I did have to use my teeth with my hand to tighten it or get someone else to do it for me. I opted for the Polar Beat app as this showed the heart rate clearly.

Interestingly, I found my heart rate was shooting up by about 30bpm when I stood up and went crazy when I was moving around the house, as though I was doing a lot of exercise. This is a symptom of PoTS and thankfully this monitor has picked it up for me because I can keep an eye on my heart rate constantly. I’m now tracking this on a daily basis to present to the doctor. In terms of connectivity, I did lose connection if I went out the room and a couple of days ago it was struggling to stay connected to my phone while I was in the same room. The band is comfortable enough on my arm for short periods, however, it does need to be slightly tighter to maintain where it’s positioned for longer periods. It can also be uncomfortable when bending my arm after a few hours and the maximum I wore it for was about 4-5 hours. I also compared the measurements to two other devices and they all seemed very similar. Overall, I’m really pleased with it and thankful it has highlighted a potential medical problem.

This product has exceeded all of my expectations! The quality of the sensor casing and band are very good. The band is very comfortable and easy to put on/take off, and it stays in place once secured. But the star of the show is the battery life! I work out every day and have used this heart rate sensor for nearly two weeks at least 1hr/day, and the battery is at a 92% state of charge after 10hrs of use! Hands down the best battery life of any heart rate sensor I’ve used. Further, it maintains a strong connection to my Peloton fitness equipment, even when I walk away from these machines in between exercises. The price point is a steal compared to alternatives. Highly recommend this product based on my experience thus far.

The armband is comfortable to wear and isn’t annoying while I run.
I don’t know how accurate it actualy is, but the heart rate seems about what I would expect to be.

I ordered this as i am just starting up an exercise routine after lapsing for a while, so wanted to see what my heart was doing!
The device is very light weight, the screen is easy to attach to the strap, The strap is soft and comfortable to wear although its not that stretchy. I found it best to wear on my forearm as it felt more comfortable there for me. The device itself gives no reading just a light to say if its turned on/connected, You have to connect it to some kind of device, phone, tablet…… I connected it to my phone via bluetooth. There is a list of compatible apps which are easy to downoad and my fitcent connected straight away without problems. I found this device to be very useful and found out i might yet have a few more miles left in my tank! The device and strap are well made, it comes with a charger and can can be charged when the device is still on the strap. This has proved to be a useful bit of kit to monitor myself and at a reasonable price. Very pleased.

The FITCENT heart rate monitor is a good but basic heart rate monitor for anyone who doesn’t have a smartwatch or fitness tracker. It’s a lovely orangey red colour and very comfortable to wear. It has a velcro fastening so it’s easy to put on and take off one-handed.

At its smallest, it has a wrist circumference of approximately 7.5″ (19cm) and at its largest approximately 12″ (30.5cm). So, you may have to wear it further up your arm than usual if you have smaller wrists like I do.

It apparently works with over 200 heart rate monitoring apps but I didn’t download any additional apps as it writes straight to Health data on my iPhone 12, using iOS 15. It connects to your phone via Bluetooth BUT your phone needs to be in range of the band otherwise it loses connection and you have to manually connect again through your phone. It also doesn’t retain any heart rate data when it’s not connected to the phone, so all that data is lost if it loses Bluetooth connection.

It flashes blue when it is successfully connected and writing data to your phone and flashes purple when it disconnects. You do need to keep checking the colour of the flash as I found that sometimes it had disconnected when I hadn’t realised so I was basically wearing it for nothing.

I’ve been wearing it on and off for almost 3 weeks on a single charge, so battery life is excellent. The only thing is I have no idea how much charge is left, so it could go off at any minute. Of course it’s not a problem to just give it a quick charge if I wanted to make sure it wouldn’t go off mid-exercise, it would just be nice to know when it was getting low on power.

I’m rating it 4 stars as it gets a big tick for comfort, battery life and being easy to use but it would be perfect if it had the ability to retain data when out of range and also indicate battery level.

Easy to use, comfortable and great battery life

I’ve never had one like this before. Seems it requires a dedicated fitness app to pair with to get it working. There seems to be no way of connecting it without an app. I decided on using Polar beat app. It was incredibly simple to get connected once i had this app installed. The app is for runners and it seems many, if not all the apps available for this are also. If i want to just monitor my heart rate on Polar Beat using this strap i have to click start ( start running basically ). I don’t have to run to see my heart beat displayed in real time but this strap and the apps are definitely aimed at runners from what I’ve seen.

The heart rate appears accurate and the cuff fits on the middle of my lower arm comfily. It has enough material that can be adjusted using the Velcro that it’ll fit muscular or large arms too. Great for runners who want to track their heart beat along their journey.

I am very pleased with this heart rate monitor armband and especially with his functionality on the Wahoo app.
It was easy enough to assemble and the strap is adjustable and very convenient to carry.
Doesn’t have any problems of synchronisation or accuracy. Works perfectly and the pairing was easy.
Happy with the purchase. Worth it!

Third party HRM seems to work well at least with two of the app mentioned in the instructions, did not try other apps as not using them. Would be amazing to have it’s own app, not a fitness app that monitor heart during the day to day activities. Strap and sensor are made of good quality materials, IP67 make me confident to proper clean the device even since is a harm band doesn’t get as much sweat as chest strap, also a plus since I have found chest strap pretty uncomfortable. So far so good

    Fast connection good signal

This took a bit of setting up as I couldn’t find the device to sync on the Strava app and one of the other apps I downloaded didn’t have a way to setup a new account it just went straight to a login account. Anyway, I then decided to try pairing it with my iPhone and see if the health app picked up the data which it did, and I could then share the data back to the Strava App. I don’t have another device to cross reference the HR readings with for accuracy but based on previous knowledge this device seems to be reading by HR fairly accurately. The charger is a bit lightweight so you really have to ensure it is flat to get a good connection otherwise it disconnects quite easily. The strap is fairly comfortable to wear around the forearm and is easy to adjust. I found the material a little bit scratchy against my skin but as I’ll only be wearing it for periods of exercise rather than all day it will be ok. I am new to HR monitoring when exercising so think this is an ok entry level model. I don’t know how good it would be for people who are more seriously into exercise than me.

I’ve used Polar heartrate monitors with a chest strap in the past. They eventually were abandoned due to discomfort or broke. This Fitcent monitor is much more easily attached, in my case just above the elbow, where I found it comfortable. The alternative suggested location – the inside of the forearm – was nothing like as comfortable as I found it had to be too tight for comfort, or otherwise it slipped down my arm.

Be aware that the provided strap – a non-stretchy neoprene backed with a Velcro-type fastener – has limited length. I think my arms are about average for a 6 foot male, but there was little additional spare length in the strap to get it over my elbow. Re-threading the strap would be a possibility, but tricky to do one-handed and a bit of a pain altogether.

OK, now you’re wearing it, what about actually getting some data? The unit has no display so must be paired with an App of some kind. The controls are very straightforward, turn it on and the LED flashes (purple apparently, but difficult to tell any difference from the subsequent blue flashing once paired) and it’s ready to pair.

This was where I experienced some problems. It lists a series of compatible apps – X-fitness, Polar beat, Strava, Zwfit, Runtastic Pro and Nick+ run club. I don’t currently use any of these and it failed to pair with the first two Android apps I did try. Weirdly, there’s clearly something unusual about the bluetooth signal it generates as it’s not picked up by Android or my Mac when they are in pairing mode.

However, it DID pair with Specialized Mission Control App for my eBike (not one of the listed apps). Pairing was very straightforward and the readings were – as far as I could tell by measuring my wrist pulse – pretty accurate.

So, when it works, it works well.

Note that I also downloaded and installed Polar Beat (one of the compatible listed Apps) on my Android phone and it also paired faultlessly with that and worked.

The charger is small and neat. It fits on the charger when attached to the strap. The cable for the charger is about 30 cm long and retains some ‘memory’ so doesn’t lie flat. Because the FITCENT unit and charger are so light it’s the cable that determines where they lie on the table. There is a useful LED light to indicate the charging status (red/green when charging, green when charged).

Price-wise this is probably pitched about right and is comparable with similar sensors available on the market in the 32-38 range. I’ve docked one star for App compatibility issues. If you use one of the listed Apps then you should be OK. If you use Mission Control by Specialized then you should be OK. If you use anything else then you’re taking pot luck … I’d have preferred some sort of stated compatibility due to use of a particular API (which is what will determine what it talks to, or does not talk to).

But, when it does pair, it works well and is comfortable to wear.

Functional, comfortable but beware App limitations

I so far have had a good experience with the functionality of this FITCENT Heart Rate Monitor Armband, Bluetooth ANT+ Optical Heart Rate Sensor Arm Band and it is working as I had hoped with plenty of functions for the price. The design is attractive too and it does not look tacky. Main issue for me is that I find it creeps down my arm in use, unless I put it on tighter than I really like.

A good way to keep track of your heart rate without having to wear a fitness watch, you can wear a more fashionable watch instead or go without. I find fitness watches don’t really work with jewelry either so as long as the top of your arms are covered you can discretely monitor your heart without it being on display.
The app is sleek and easy to use.
Its a comfortable and secure fit around the arm, the strap is soft yet holds firm.
Accurate readings, I tested it against other monitors and find them all the give very similar results.

Adjustable velcro strap that you attach to your forearm below the elbow. Comfortable to wear and not on the wrist like many trackers.
You have to download an app in order to use this device but there are a number that are compatible. Unfortunately you have to create an account and register your email address to use any of them. I would have preferred an app that didn’t require me to have an account. I downloaded a few but found that polar was best suited to my needs. Went for a brief walk and it tracked well and reported my heart rate which was the same as my previous tracker, so I am very pleased.

Firstly you need to wear it to be able to pair it with an app ( any fitness app will work I chose the peleton )

Once paired you can wear it on the inside of your arm and it gives relatively accurate heart rate readings , I found it to be within 5bpm either way of my BP/Heart rate reader .

The pairing is simple and once on it’s easy to forget you’re wearing it , it sends a beep when the heart rate increases which is a nice feature .

The armband is very comfortable and fully adjustable .

Priced at just under 40 I think it’s very good value for money .

In every cycling session, my desire is to get all MPHs (from an SPD sensor), RPMs (from a CAD sensor), and HPMs (from an HRM) information recorded and save them in one place, like either Strava, Wahoo, or Samsung Health apps. During last BF sales, I got a Samsung Watch 4 to record my HPMs and the Wahoo SPD & CAD sensors, but I realized HPMs from my watch could not store with other MPHs and RPMs due to limited software integrations.

I was worried it would not stay in place…..it does and does not have to be that tight on your forearm. I had been using it with Supernatural (oculus) so it works fine there and works with the APP WAHOO. I tested its accuracy by the old fashioned manual method and by a finger pulse oximeter and it was accurate ( I had my doubts it would be..glad I was wrong)
I have a HR monitor that goes around your chest, I find this one, far more comfortable.

Wow! Can’t believe how nice this Fitcent Heart Rate Monitor CL830 Armband is to wear and use. I wore this just below the elbow. It worked right out of the box. It connected to my Peloton Bike immediately and was very accurate. I compared its HR reading to the reading provided by my Fitbit HR. I was was pleased. I ordered this HRM as a replacement for my chest strap sensor which I always found to be a little uncomfortable. It’s straightforward to use and set up immediately on Zwift or Bkool etc and the sensor provides a stable and effective guide to heart rate. It’s far more comfortable to wear than my old chest strap as I wear it facing the inside of the upper forearm but have also used it successfully on the inside wrist.

All in all, it’s a great little device that compares more than favourably with my Garmin sensor and it’s a lot more comfortable too. I highly recommend it..

This is easier to wear than the chest ones, definitely more user friendly for all shapes and sizes. Easy to charge and get going with. Pairs quickly and easily with my iPhone XR. It doesn’t pair automatically when I turn it on, I do need to do this in settings each time. This worked straight out of the box with the health app on my phone, don’t you just like it when you can do that?! I wore it out on my morning walk and it seemed to lose connectivity to my phone over that time though, which was disappointing, and I had to reconnect to Bluetooth when I got back. Will keep trying and see what happens. I haven’t managed to get Strava to find it, but I don’t tend to use the fitness apps and am content to just use my health app.

My issue got solved.

So far, the FITCENT HRM battery lasts long as its promise and my HPMs on FITCENT HRM is as accurate as on my smart watch. The decent quality with sweatproof feature on the monitor and the armband. A great product so very recommended!

I purchased this item for my work out and it works as intended. I wear it daily to gym and also when i go for a run. It is easy to use and has lots of functions. It also looks trendy and is value for money! Would recommend it to anyone.

I bought this HRM after experiencing connectivity problems with my Garmin Dual HRM. It stopped connecting to Zwift, a very big part of my exercise regimen.

The new HRM worked like a charm straight out of the box after the initial charge, of course. Connecting to my Garmin Fenix 6 was easy, and just as easy to connect with Zwift as well.

Compared to the chest strap, this HRM is placed around your arm just above the elbow, and I must admit, it is a far superior fit! Very comfortable to wear, and I am unable to fault the data as well.

I wish there were a few more metrics, of course, but what tech junkie doesn’t feel that way?

It is affordable, easy to use, comfortable to wear, and compatible with my Fenix 6 watch, iPhone, iPad, Windows 11, and Zwift. Who can ask anything more at this price point? Perfect.

Great heart rate and work well for Peloton Bike
I started to add heart rate devices for my Peloton Bike, but I can’t find the entrance. Later I got directly to my class to start training to discover automatic pop-up Fitcent-CL830. So you just need pick a class, and it’s available to connect.
Lightweight hardly feel like you’re wearing it and I’m not disappointed.

    functional product!

Paired very easy with the Specialized Mission Control app. Seamless telemetry integration of my heart rate data with my Turbo Levo TCU 2 ride data. Heart rate data seems accurate based on my level of effort and inline with trail features, i.e. ascents, descents, flats. I have recorded @ 3 rides and everything has worked flawlessly. Battery life is good (but there’s a catch mentioned below). Charging dock is nice and easy to use – I like that it’s magnetic so it can just hang from the charge port, doesn’t need to be on a level surface. I like the color of the strap, makes it easy to find and strap is comfortable.

A few things that could definitely be improved…
1.) Longer strap. I am unable to wear it around my upper arm. Might not be an issue for slender builds but is for avg to larger build. I wear mine on my forearm but would prefer on my upper arm.
2.) Missing auto-shutoff feature – I realized this after my first ride when battery was completely drained for next ride. If you forget to turn it off after use the battery will be dead next use. Should auto-shutoff after 5min of no heartrate input.

Above two reasons are why I give 4 stars and not 5. I would still purchase again despite these issues and I recommend this product. Overall, satisfied with this heart rate monitor.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUPDATE. Left it plugged in for 2 straight days and it seems to be working again. Will update if it does again. Since it seems to be working, changed to 4 stars since, when it works, it works really well.

Original 1-star review: Charged fully when I first got it. Worked great for about 4 workouts (about 2.5 hours of use, not even 1/4 of the promised 16 hours of continuous use) with my Nordictrack S22i bike. Never got a low battery warning like the manual said. Then stopped working altogether. Figured battery must be dead already. But I leave it on the charger and it just flashes red and green constantly no longer how long I leave it on the charger. Tried a different USB brick, same results. Battery is toast after not much use. Probably uses super cheap batteries. Luckily Amazon provides generous return policies.

The armband version is more convenient and 100% better than the chest band. Worded as expected and happy with the product.

Bought this HRM because the HRM on my Apple Watch 3 usually says heart rate not available. Paired by going general, settings, Bluetooth, and pair on the watch (not the phone). Worked well for first workout (weightlifting, treadmill, & punching bag). Really impressed. Did not need any additional apps. May write an update later.
