Okay where do i start. Its not worth 119 for a start. Good bench but having decided to buy one i reviewed many makes. This one kept coming up tops. I had one from argos which made me think all benches were of similar quality. So I went for it. Fortunately the other day on Amazon it dropped in price to 101, I also had a voucher for 25 from Xmas from my employer so it only cost me 76 in the end which I would say is a fair price. I sold my Opti bench i bought from argos a year ago to buy the flybird. The quality is a grave difference meaning the opti feels very sturdy in comparison. I wanted a bench that folds up, the Opti didn’t do that. If it did i would have kept it. Real solid bench and great cushion comfort. Anyway having said that I’m very happy with the flybird. Nice looking, it is strong easy to use and quite lightweight, less than 10 kilos i think, so easy to move around. The only issue I have is the cushioning. Its good but would prefer it a little bit thicker. I also now understand the issue with the head support people are saying. I’m 5ft 8 and 75 kilos when doing flys my head is beyond the board. I i still manage to support it enough to exercise with the barbell. Any taller i would struggle. It has a nice feel to the makeshift leather, and the metal feels strong and it is so easy to change position. It is low enough to do step ups which is good, the Opti was too high for that. When doing decline sit ups i feel the leather wouldn’t last on the seat part as the back of your knee puts a lot of strain on the leather as its not that thick and i think with a lot of sit ups it will eventually tear. I’m bench pressing 60 kilos and it holds that weight fine on flat or incline. To be honest in comparing the Opti bench to the flybird, the Opti feels like a man’s bench and the flybird looks and feels more for the ladies or teenagers. It looks small when I look at it and didn’t look at all strong. But it is and feels solid. I think I’ll enjoy it, more so that your seconds in being able to change position for whatever you doing. And it folds so easy and fits in the corner. I gave it 5 stars as it is a good bench for beginners, and it does look good and feel nice.
I wasn’t sure if I’m this price range you can get anything good, but this bench is really worth every penny. Stable, comfortable, nothing is loose. Highly recommend!
Very sturdy and easy to use bench which folds away for storage
I bought this weights bench and so far it has been excellent. Nice and sturdy. 1 bit of advice though is if you order it then male sure you have a socket set for building it.
Reasonable build for its price. I haven’t noticed any issues regarding sturdiness, although it’s only been subjected to about 88kg (my weight + barbell/dumbbells). If I remember to, I’ll update if/when I reach a problematic weight. Folding is a matter of removing three pins, so it’s a matter of ten seconds at most, although you may wish to loosen/tighten the nuts at the pivot, but they’re extremely easy to access with an adjustable, so it won’t add much time.
This is my first amazon review! After doing some research into foldable benches I didn’t really know what to expect. The bench came next day and was so easy to set up. It takes me about 30 seconds to set up and take down. The quality is as good as any bench I have used in the past, it is really sturdy. I am 5’7 and 12 stone so I don’t know what it would be like if you are taller. It fits so easy in a cupboard and so far it’s been fantastic I have recommended it to friends and family. Really happy with this purchase!
Quality piece of kit, felt light when delivered which worried me at first but then became a big plus in moving it about later. The quality feels good, from get go, you know you choose well, and it’s got a good sturdy feel – no doubt. I’m 6ft and fit but heavy boned (whatever that means) – this thing could handle me no problem and could easily handle a taller heavier set too. That said there no is fat here, it’s obvious the product has gone through a number of positive iterations to arrive here – all aspects, assembly, adjustment, storage are worked well and simple to do. As with somethings in life you quickly wonder what took you so long to take the leap. One down side literally, was the decline, was going to take a star off as position is extreme, but that’s not fair as it’s extreme for me, I’m sure the more agile will work that for super decline bench pressure – enjoy
As soon as it’s out of the box it is fully assembled other than placing the pins in to set the position of the bench it is a joy and sets your mind at ease as opposed to unknowingly poor self-assembly could mean a grave injury! I have been using this for the Olympic barbell bench press at around 80kg for sets, it has been great and very sturdy no complaints. I bought this bench primarily for its adjustable nature of it compared to other benches, while it has many great incline angle options, there is only one decline option which is not to place the arm into the given holes to prop it up. This angle is unusable for anything bench or chest related. However, I was able to adjust by placing plates under the head of the bench for a more suitable angle as seen in the photo. I am happy with this but your mileage may vary in terms of sturdiness and safety.
Decent bench for the money. Had it for almost 6 months now and no issues. Recommended
Very easy to assemble, just one or two bits to screw on.
Sturdy but not too heavy
A useful size, better suited to women.
Adjustable parts easy to move and very secure.
Feels well made and decent quality materials.
I’ve used this 3x a week for over a year and it’s still looking brand new. It’s durable, easy to assemble and folds really small. If you’re looking for a versatile, value for money, fold up bench that’ll last, this is the one. I never write reviews but this is actually good.
This is so useful. I been hammering it to death and the bench still holds up
Less than 5 minutes from cutting the box tape to having built and working. Strong, sturdy, great looking and Best out the 5 I have had over the last 20 years. Value for money oh yes!
Just unpacking this I could see it was a big jump up in suitability from the Body Revolution which tbh I think is dangerous, the lock pin on the backrest comes out because of warping around the holes. This one was really easy to assemble and looks and feels really sturdy in comparison. Can’t wait to use it and will review it again.
I’ve now been using this for a month. Good little bench. Quite a lot of flexibility and it’s study enough depending on your workout. It has several additional holes where you could use extra accessories.
Arrived on time, well packaged. Take straight out of the box, unfold, put in safety pin, attach foam roller leg bar and you’re away. Very pleased with purchase, looks smart and feels very sturdy
I was looking for a good quality folding bench to improve my workout routine. After reading through a number of reviews I decided to get the Flybird bench. It’s lived up to my expectations so far, came fully assembled, just needed to be unfolded. The process to unfold and setup the bench for use is quick and straightforward, it took a little learning at the start to see which level to use to set it up for each workout but that is a once off. The bench is quite sterdy and manages to handle my 80kgs plus 20kgs of weights without a problem.
Ok so it might not be the heavy duty type utility bench you get in a gym. It is quite light weight so you have to rely on good balance and form for exercises like front lying rear dumbbell rows and fly’s. But it is sturdy. It is made from quality metal and fabric. It folds up easily and can be carried by its own loop strap. It can be set up anywhere in your home. Living room, kitchen, bedroom, garden. With one of these. A set of dumbbells, you can work every muscle group in your body. This is saving me a 35 a month gym fee. It’s 93 very well spent.
Absolutely superb value, as this bench is really well made and if you tap the metal with your knuckles it there’s zero tinny sound it’s rock solid Alloy Steel. It’s super comfortable and stable. (I use it on carpet in a tiny bed sit) it comes ready assembled and with three locking pins. Folds up nicely and fits just right in my little space. If your above 5’8 though I would go for something with a talker back, I’m 5’8 and it fits just right and supports my head ( I’m a smaller guy) it allows you to get fit and strengthen your inner core and I bought it to use with my dumbbells. Highly recommend it but not for any men over 5’8.
The bench is a little small for me, I am 6ft 2″. However this is not insurmountable., I’m able to do all exercises. I don’t have a lot of room so it’s great it folds and stores out of the way so easily.
Getting daily use of the workbench and folds very quickly, so no time wasted and a good workout.
I have been training for 43 years, always in gym’s, after using heavy duty benches I got this to use at home. I only use it for flys, dumbell press, dumbell rows up to 30k. I have to say this bench is great, treat it with respect, it should last.
No assembly required, sturdy bench and fine for my height and I’m 6ft.
Great bench and folds away nicely.
As a 19 stone individual who is 5ft 10, the bench is a fantastic piece of kit. Easy to assemble, easy to adjust positioning, easy to fold away. The bench is very versatile for most parts of the body, such as bench press, shoulder press, sit ups, single leg squat and much more. Excellent kit for any household gym.
Sturdy, easily to adjust and nice and tidy when folded away. Material is nice as well, not cheap or easily ripped.
Definitely read the size of the bench. I’m 6ft and it’s just about the right size. Anyone taller/larger may want a bigger bench
Sturdy enough, light in wt, doesnt take big space.
Wish it was but more cushioned or the gap between 2 surfaces were aligned better so that it would not rub against my back.
Overall a good buy but when using with heavier weights it can be a little unsturdy
Lots of sections to bolt when using. When in decline need to give it a little push to put in place firmly or gives your neck a surprise when lying back in decline with two dumbbells in your hand. It’s quite bulky and it doesn’t really fold up so takes some space. I think for price there’s definitely room for important but overall it’s of very good quality and does it intended job very well so I am happy with purchase so far and would recommend as good.
I have had the bench for over a year now and used regularly every week, around 5 times a week.
It is great value and folding it away in an apartment allows us to keep our home looking like a home and not a gym (condition from my wife). It generally has enough adjustments, including a decline which is great.
The bench is a touch short for me when doing certain exercises (I’m 6ft3in) but has never stopped me from any position.
Two downsides are that the red lines on the bench can transfer on to your clothes. And today, the strap came out (pic attached) and the entire weight of the bench crashed on my bare foot (ouch). The rings holding the strap failed. The language was colourful and so is my foot now!
I hope the manufacturer gets in touch with me!

Folds up much smaller than expected, especially if you don’t add the foot rests. Just about big enough for 5ft 10. If you are taller you might need to loom elsewhere. Excellent build quality.
Great gym bench in good quality, easy to set up and fold away and well worth buying
Basic bench would want to lift to heavy not study enough for heavy lifting
Was easy to assemble and felt like a good quality bench compared to the ones I used at the gym, and very easy to pack away as well. Worth paying that little bit extra.
Really happy with this product so decided to leave a quick review. For the price of this I’m very happy with the product. It comes all assembled and is easy to fold. Its also pretty sturdy. Obviously you can get more strong solid benches but for this price and use at home its definitely an amazing purchase!
I’d recommend this bench, as long as you aren’t a body builder then buy yourself an expensive one haha!
The gap between the two bending parts is catching the lower back! Maybe I’m to big for it! Otherwise it’s okay.
Had this bench since May 2021, its been ok for my gym activities, however, my only critisms are as follows: I think the bench would benefit from being able to “lock” the bench whilst using for straight incline or decline work. A number of times when lifting heavier than usual the bench almost folds, if that makes sense? The bench could be slightly bigger overall. I’m only 5′ 8″ but on occasions feel the bench could be bigger when doing pressing work.

Seems sturdy so far and does the job. If you’re over 6ft it could be an issue, like the other comments say. Comes assembled which is good.
Great bench lots and variety of angles you can use is fantastic. Feels really sturdy when you are benching or have equal weight distribution however when picking up weights the narrow base makes it a little wobbly (nothing major). All in a great bench for the price.
Very strong and easy to change the bench position. Just what I wanted.
The bench is very good for home gym and very sturdy. The adjustment is a bit fiddly, with 3 bolts to secure each time. Also seems to scratch bars each adjustment too. On positive side I’m 100kg and happy bench my max weight on this without any concern. Stores away nicely in compact spaces. I needed to return because since stitching on the seat was loose on arrival. As I needed to reorder I decided to instead buy the newer model which is a little longer, which is helpful if your over 6 foot. On the newer model the sliders to adjust are far superior too, with only one bolt to insert.

It’s actually 12.5inches wide at the widest point but I’ll let you off. Not as sturdy as I expected but it’ll do for the weights I use. A big bonus is its fully built out of the box so no nuts and bolts.
Would recommend.
I’ve given it 5 stars because it is how described. This is obviously cheap and cheerful and to be honest works absolutely fine. Small downside is the back isn’t that big and I’m only 5.8.
Folds up ok but you need to pull the pins out to do it.
It already came almost fully assembled which I thought was very good.
If you’re looking for a cheap bench I would recommend.
I weigh 80kg. Solid bench no problems after 2 months. Came in excellent conditio
Finally my boss lady let me buy one!
It’s fantastic I can fold it after finish my stuff a space saver!!
Great bench for the price, it’s been in daily use for the last 6 months with no signs of wear. It’s not overly long so probably not right if you are over 6 foot. I’m 5.10 and is fine for me.
Really happy with this bench, it’s got everything I was looking for in a beginner/midrange bench.
+ Optimal height for doing hip thrusts
+ folds away really nicely
+ adjustable everything
+ good food pedals for ab moves
+ great red and black colour scheme
+ comfortable to lay o
came already assembled, all i had to do was unfold it which was really helpful for me. Nice and comfortable to use and very easy to fold and unfold.
Excellent product, very sturdy super easy to set up (took less than 5 mins) and good range of positions for decline/incline, shoulder press etc.
This is a good, sturdy bench albeit a little short. The upholstery is poor – don’t rest your dumbbells on it as it’ll tear easily. I would however advise to spend a little more and get the 2021 version. It’s more solid, slightly wider, longer and has much better upholstery and padding. Most importantly, it has automatic locking pins, which feel so much safer when adjusting the incline. There’s one pin you have to fit as well, but this one has three. I returned it and exchanged for the 2021 version.
I wanted to submit this review as I think its worthy of one. Im 5’8 and I weigh 75kg to 77kg i think its just slightly small for me though it is sufficient to do the job as intended. Its inside a summer house so being compact is handy however i will say this i think if your 6ft and above and weigh more than 80kgs I wouldn’t recommend this. The other positive bit is when folded is very compact and very light at about 8kgs.
Did not know what to expect from a portable, easy to use work-out bench but this product is amazing. Very sturdy, and stable. Good quality material and comfortable. Better than expected. Absolutely love this product. Recommend.
This is a good lightweight bench, its reasonably sturdy, however not good value for money as sports direct have the same model for 40 less 🙁
Assembling is slightly difficult but not challenging. This is purely because assembly instruction is pretty poor. But once it is done, I am happy with the easiness. It serves the purpose. Easy to move from one place to another.
I’m a 6ft male and haven’t had any problems so far with this bench. Really nice quality and does exactly what I need it to do. The only downside is that my head leans off the top but honestly it isn’t a big issue for a home bench. Happy to have chose this product so far.
Good quality, easy to assemble, sturdy, comfortable, and designed to last. Pleased I invested a bit more money in this style and brand. Money well spe
Does what you want with a quick set up and nice fold away design. Unless there’s something I didn’t know the only things I would criticize is the 2 out of the 3 fixing pins have no real place to hold them when folded away. Yes they can go into a hole but there’s nothing stopping them falling out. So they can be lost when placing away somewhere. Also at certain angles of the bench when training, can rock a small bit. Other than that for the design and ease of use it’s good for the money
Decent bench. Almost commercial grade. Worth every penny. I weight 120kg and push 40kgs on each arm and the bench is solid. We’ll done!
Had it a week, a great Bench so far.
Adjustable foot pads are great for decline dumbbell press and sit ups.
The only slight negatives are that I would prefer it a few cm longer and wider and maybe with spring loaded pins to make adjustments quicker/easier.
Great lightweight folding solid bench for the price. Came built and was delivered quickly.
All I’d say is that for anyone 6′ plus it may be too small for you. Otherwise buy one.
I’m 6″4′ and find it a little small but workable otherwise very good
Like
Did my first complete chest workout today and used it for decline and inclined with a 20kg dumbells and it worked like a dream.
Dislike
When doing decline the gap between the seat and the gap is annoying and that’s the only reason I have a 4 star.
Apart from that if you can ignore it this bench is perfect for a home workout.
I needed a foldable bench due to lack of space. This bench is ideal, only takes a couple of minutes to set up straight out of the box and seconds when you get used to it. It is sturdy enough for my use and just the right size for me at 5’9″. Folds back down in a matter of seconds for easy storage. Hight recommend.
My husband is delighted with it. He’s 6’1″ and fits perfectly. Very sturdy. Would definitely recommend.
Really pleased with this bench. It came pretty much assembled and ready to use. Build quality is really good. Bench is comfortable. I am really pleased I went with this one, as there are cheaper benches on the market but the reviews show the quality is poor and they have to be assembled.
I have worked in both Gyms and Boxes and I can honestly say that this is a well built piece of kit. Easy to fold and store, assembles in seconds and can take my 90 kilos while bench pressing. Recommended
The bench arrived quickly and was very easy to assemble. Just one pin to insert really. I like how many incline levels there are and the adjustability of the seat means you can set it to incline and decline which isn’t always the case with weight benches. It folds up to be very compact and fit behind the love door or under the bed as well which is great as we live in quite a small flat. As someone who is missing them my for my usual strength and conditioning workouts, this has been a brilliant practical piece of home gym equipment.
The bench is strong and sturdy and no assembly required. The only thing I would say is if your over 5’10” the back rest would be a little short my head is right at the top of it. Apart from that I would definitely recommend this bench.
it’s perfect to do home exercises for me and my husband. Easy to fold and not too heavy so I can move it around
Very satisfied! unboxed this evening, assembled in 5 minutes! Defo fit for purpose. Sturdy, good seat cushion and materials..I wanted something that would last, was prepared a little more than the 100 quid cheaper products, to reduce disappointment. I think at 150 quid, it’s fare. Certainly didn’t want to spend 3-400, but it’s only for really dumb bell use. Yes I would agree if you are 6ft+, you might want a longer back support. Recommend!
his would be my first recview as I am really happy with workout bench, so im writing one. its already assembled and ready to use. it is super light and doesnt take much space to store it and even sturdy on carpent. as it have been said in another review. probably this is not for someone taller than 6 foot 2.
good size bench can take weight. Im 6ft and about 90kg. The bench feels sturdy enough when benching 50kg.
Only downside is when doing shoulder press it feels slightly small and narrow.
Only rating 4 stars due to shoulder press comfort level
With the gyms being closed due to lockdown, my husband was dying to buy a bench he could use at home. He loves it. With incline and decline ability he can do everything he needs to to complete his workout.
Great price and quickly delivered.
Building it was easy and didn’t take very long, it folds up to be relatively small although I’d hoped it would be smaller.
Things I’d like to improve are that it feels a bit narrow. My shoulders feel like they’re too wide for it. It also feels a bit short, I’m around 5 8 and I’d say I’m near the limits for usefulness. If you’re closer to 6 or above I’d look for something taller, and if you’re shorter than me you’re fine. Another potentially big issue is that if you sit on the very end the weight seems to make it fold up slightly which could end badly of you’re carrying large weights and it shifts unexpectedly. For reference I’m around 75kg
This bench is just great, easily adjustable and foldable, I mean it even goes decline! Can’t think of any faults really.
Already came assembled. I’m 100kgs and when on it with weights it feels very sturdy. Also easy to adjust and really light. Got delivered much earlier than expected too so all round really happy with the purchase. Only thing I would say is if you have a really wide back it may be a little narrow but I would say it wouldn’t be wide for a very small % of people.
Brilliant quality – very sturdy and I like that you can move it into several positions. Lots of people using it in my house. Was worth spending the little extra on this product. For me, it folds up neatly enough … I read other reviews where some people thought it was still bulky folded up – I don’t find this. Great product.
Easy to assemble. Sturdy and high Quality. Will not let you down.
This product suits me and is super compact, sturdy and easy to folded away. The only thing, as others have noted, is if you lay on your back sitting on the seat with the back support raised part your head will be unsupported. I would say if you are over i guess 5ft 7in, i am 5ft 11in this will not pick/support up your head. Of course when the seat and back rest are in the horizontal position in the same plane this is not a problem as you can slide down to lay on the seat while rest on the back rest at the same time.
Bought this over the cheaper ones and I can say it does it’s job very nicely. Maybe there are cheaper ones but can guarantee it’s reliable. Came prebuilt already only rocks a tiny bit not enough to throw you off workout. Very comfortable only change I would make is changing the decline so it’s not that far down as it’s hard to do decline bench press on.
Very lightweight yet sturdy. Perfect for a home gym. It comes assembled, you just need to unfold it.
Absolute life saver during lockdown and very hardy now. It’s well made and sturdy so you can use it with confidence. Folds relatively flat.
For the price you pay & the product you receive , i’d highly recommend this weight bench .
Very sturdy and nice padding , easy to fold up and store .
Only draw back is it’s not very big so if you’re a tall person taller than 6ft , it’s not the best .
Really good product for the price. Feels solid and stable. Pleased with it.
Really good bench, very sturdy and feels well built. Compared to others for the price it’s very good – you can pay 100 for just a flat bench! Easily adjusted for incline and decline and you can use it for sit ups etc as well. It’s also very light which makes it easy to store away! Very pleased.
Awesome – so easy to set up and put away ! Great investment – I love it!
Pros Good build quality, feels study when exercising on it. Easily adjustable. Material it’s made from is good quality. Has a good weight not too heavy, so easy to move. Great value for money.
Think it should be easy to fold up and store. It was easy to unfold only requiring 2 pins to set up.
Only one con:- If you are taller than 6ft this is not for you as your head will probably hang off the end. For me its fine but a taller person would find it small.
I am always worried when I buy something like this online. Often get tat. Well, this arrived and has had good use since. Solid. Good quality. Easy to use. Very pleased with it.
Well made and sturdy good adjustments available and safe folds well into an easily stored size
What a bench! Lightweight, very adjustable, sturdy & best of all…no assembly required. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quality bench at a good price for a home gym.
Great quality
Can go fully flat or upright
Folds really small
Amazing!
After being let down by other online shops, I received this weight bench super quick as proposed. Very impressed with the build quality for the price. The only thing I would say is if you are over 6’1, I would double check the dimensions to be on the safe side. I am 6’1 and it’s neat for me.
