Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersReplaced my hover mower with this. Hardest thing was assembling the grass box. Lovely and easy to use. This was on setting 4 so quite high but my lawn is uneven. Really pleased with it and putting the grass box on and off is easy (some reviews said not, weirdly)

5.0 out of 5 stars Look it’s stripey!

I like that It was easy to put together, great cutting and the price. Unfortunately the front right wheel came off. So only got half of front lawn got done, I’m hoping it’s a simple repair and I don’t have to return it.

Love this mower. Was due to have surgery and wanted to mow the lawn beforehand so it didn’t take on the appearance of a jungle while I was in hospital. My mower decided to choose that day to die. This one came the next day. Easy to put together, folds down for easy storage, easy to adjust mow height. Brilliant piece of kit and dealt with my crap lawn beautifully. Cannot fault!

Great mower for small 40m2 lawn. Roller added stripes and used it for three years without issue. Only drawback is that it’s wired but that’s inherent. Would buy again for small to medium-ish lawn!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI read the instructions carefully but none of the pieces actually looked like what I had in the box. So had to resort to Google to see where to put which bolt where. I was surprised that you sort of loosen all the bolts to fold it down for storage. I thought it would have a mechanism to collapse it! But it cuts nicely and is a good small mowe

For a small to medium size garden this is ideal, very easy to assemble and it arrived quickly. 45 litres sounds like a lot but it soon fills up, after 10-15 mins the bin is nearly full. Still a really nice mower, easy to manoeuvre and to empty the bin and reattach.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWhat’s not to like about this mower. You do have to put the grass box together and the handles on (recommend you read the instructions first and check all the parts are there) but it’s not rocket science and I managed it on my own (female in her 60’s). Bought this for its lightness and manoeuvrability and not disappointed. Thought it didn’t look very robust at first but it ‘s done a great job on my lawns so far and I’m very pleased with my purchase. I do use an outdoor extn lead otherwise it wouldn’t reach all areas of my garden. The roller is a little light weight (for serious gardeners probably) but you still get the lines when you mow up and then down and that’s better than my pervious flymo. Love the really easy to use 1-5 level height adjuster. Reasonable price too.

Cuts well but the motor tends to overheat on longer grass. The picking up grass capabilities are very limited too. A lot of grass gets left behind so raking is needed.

The lawn mower has been used once and appears to be OK.
The cable is very short, it means having a cable reel in the centre of lawn, I may chop the 3 pin plug off and fit a 2 pin lawn mower extension.
It is also difficult to manoeuvre with the handle locked in place as per the instructions.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis mower was very easy to assemble and light to use. It cuts right to the boarders and it is very easy to change the blade height too. I already like this more than my old Flymow hover compact 300, I just hope this one lasts as long, my old mower was approx 15 years old when it stopped working!
My only minor gripe is the lead length is approx 2m shorter than my previous mower so now I’ll need to use an extension lead.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this as my old Hover Flynn eventually gave up. It really easy to use with the height adjustments and gives a nice clean cut. For me one of the best benefits is that the grass dosnt fly all over the place like my old mower. Because of the motor speed it seems give a much finer cut like a mulch. Anyway it’s really good value for the money.

My flymo gave up the ghost so bought this as a replacement. It’s ok, it does the job, but it’s not as good as my 10 year old one was! Feels flimsier, shorter cable and possible doesn’t cut as well. However it’s still better than other generic brands so happy to keep.

Having changed to this lawnmower after the broken down I’d my Bosch one, it was found to be a bit flimsy and not as powerful as the old one. The maneuverability was not as smooth as expected, in particular, when turning. It was quite easy to assemble. Overall, it was still a good tool for the garden maintenance.

This is much better than my old Argos brand (I think) mower which was apparently supposed to be a good one but this is million times better.
Doesn’t get stuck on high grass like my old one did.
Big grass box so you don’t have to empty much.
The folding seems a bit of a pain so we didn’t store it folded.

I would say if you need to fold it, be aware you have to loosen things to fold it. It isn’t super easy like it made out. Not very hard, but not that easy so if you have the room its easier to not fold it.

be aware that, if set to height 3 for example, running over rough terrain can cause it to jump to 1. You have been warned.

  26. CollettCriswell says:

Easy to use and fairly lightweight. Only gripe is that the wheels can change height if you go over a bit of a bump. There’s no lever to adjust the height so you have to unplug it, turn it over and move the axle back to the right setting. Can’t moan too much though for the price.

A very easy to use and quality lawn mower. The only problem I have with it is that when taking off the grass bucket to empty it will ineviatbly drop a small amount of grass as the design isn’t perfect.

I bought this to replace a hover Flymo that I stupidly ran over the cable on – always use an RCD.

It’s far easier to move around than the hover was and so much more quiet. The only tricky part in assembly was the grass cuttings box.

Folds up and takes hardly any space – stands vertically so even less space.

I should have bought this years ago instead of the hover one.

This machine plows through whatever is in front of it, brambles, dockens etc. I am used to smaller motors but had i known that 1600W did the job like this machine i would have bought it long ago.

    Only a couple of issues.
Having the 1600W motor makes it so much heavier.
Being so big it is harder to maneuver in a small to medium garden.
Handle height is more suited to someone who is about 7ft tall rather than 5″4 loll. This of course affects how you control it and i also kept losing the proper grip to keep it running. Other than this it will do what you want with a garden that is even pretty overgrown or has hardy weeds in it.

I bought this Flymo to replace a previous Flymo I had for 25 years. It cuts the grass perfectly and weighs half the weight of my previous mower so it is easier to manoeuvre. Very surprised how good it is. Better than my old one. Only negative is that the cord is not as long as I would like. Otherwise excellent.

Not being a keen gardener whatsoever I decided I just needed a mower to keep the garden tidy. Nothing fancy, just something that does what it says, and this little mower does the trick!
Super lightweight, long electric lead, though I did buy an extension lead as well. 5 different heights for grass but find the shortest-1 too short. I think this one is for people who want to mow every day!! I have mine on 2 and it’s perfect for once a week cutting.
Having read other people’s reviews, I found it fairly simple for me to assemble, being lightweight it is easy to push and use.
    Super price, super value!!

As a serious hay fever sufferer, the old hover flymo has to go. I chanced using this one but it actually picks up the grass really well and transfers it into the box at the back without spraying dust/grass etc. I can cut nice lines on the lawn giving it a nice finish. Doesn’t quite go tight upto the wall but not far off so a little trimming of the edges is required.. Grear little mower, worth the money for me.

Creates very little mess, draws cut grass into the hopper.

This has got a decent power, and good cutting width as well. The container doesn’t leave much grass behind, if any!
The downsides (which are acceptable btw)
    – the edges could have the blade area protrude further out on the sides or have the wheelbase narrower so to run along edges like fence edge, without leaving 1-2 inch grass without reach, uncut.
    – folding is not as quick, could do with a click mechanism to infold the arm, instead of undoing screws every time.
    – a bit heavy, especially when the container is full.

    Sharp cut and good collecto

This flymo was easy to assemble. Being a first time of using lawn mowers, the instruction pull one lever and push the other was confusing, until my son noticed the push button .

Its very light, and does the job. No box full indicator, however the noise changes and grass from the flymo is left on the ground.

Very lightweight and not too big. It is perfect for a smaller garden such as mine.

However, I have just used it to mow the lawn and luckily the wheel fell off just as finished. Very poor quality from a respected name. I know it was cheap but I expected it to last more than using it once!

This is a good grass cutter. It takes the heads of small daisies etc no problem – which my last mower didn’t. Generous sized grass box as well which is good. The downside is that the assembly instructions are ridiculous and it took quite a few goes to get the thing put together – having actually looked it up on YouTube. That’s how bad the manufacturers instructions are. It’s also not “lightweight”. It’s easy to move around the lawn, but if you need to pick it up and carry it anywhere then have your spinach first!

After reading various other reviews I was left worried about purchasing this but I needed not too .
Firstly it cut grass witch was at least a foot hight with no problem .started it on higher cut and worked down .the grass box is large and a tad bulky but at least it doesn’t need emptying so frequently which is a plus . I know there are negative reviews for this but it to me is a great mower .unless you compare it to one triple the cost .

Initially, I was very pleased. Powerful motor that sounds the business, though not quiet! I was pleased with the cut and ability to cut right up to the edge.
But… it’s a fairly flimsy design and buckled when stored on its front edge, which is how we’d stored previous flymo. Should be stored flat or hung by outer handle.
Then the rear corner wheel fell off, followed by the roller. Amazon were really helpful and sent us a replacement. Be careful to check the wheels, as they are helpful on by a flimsy push cap. I might see if they can be glued on somehow..
I shall treat this one with kid gloves and check the wheels regularly.
Good mower but made to a price with much flimsy materials than our old machine

This is a great mower – easy to put together and works really well. Good sized grass box, five different cutting heights and a roller which makes the grass look really good! It is as lightweight as I wanted, my previous one was too heavy to get up steps now. It works well for my medium garden requirements but changing from one grass height to the other is a bit clumsy, having to move a wheel. Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA good little mower, lightweight, suitable for small to medium sized gardens. The cable that comes with the mower is only 10 meters long, an extension might be neccessary for some people. The mower is easy to push and to handle, adjusting the cutting height however needa strong hands, the front and back wheels both have to be adjusted slotting into one of the 3 slots (height) setting. Leaving it in the middle slot (medium length cut) gives a neat trim. The grass collecting box is of a reasonable size and very easy to put on remove and empty. I like this mower.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReally light compared to my last mower. Does a good job. Instructions for assembly are confusing and the cable is pretty short. Have to use an extension to get to the corners of my, not massive, lawn.

Ok I chose this product as my flymo hover broke but I made a mistake.its a brilliant machine but wasnt for me I prefer the flymo hover 280 it is easier to manoeuvre and does a better cut but each to their own choice .

I would class our grassed area as medium – my husband small. Whilst it did manage quite well, it is narrower than our previous Flymo and thus meant many more trips up and down the garden – I would certainly say suitable for a small garden but not medium.

Putting the mower together itself wasn’t too bad but the grass box…. ensure you do not attempt to put this together in the presence of children, do not have any heavy object at hand that you may be tempted to throw through the nearest window and do not attempt at all if suffering from high blood pressure. Other than the fact it is quite flimsy when in two separate halves, it is practically impossible to match all the notches up together without the other half moving and not helped by the instructions warning that you must get this right as you only get one go at it. It took me a whole weekend to put the grass box together though I must admit that once I succeeded, then this is far better than the one on our old machine. It holds much more grass and is far easier to put back onto the mower after emptying as the shoot is attached to the box so automatically lines up when putting back on.

Overall – lightweight, works well but cutting blade is quite narrow – would only recommend for a small garden.

Instructions were not the best but I got there in the end. Heavier than my last mower but I knew that before I ordered it the details and specifications in the item description were all correct and it cuts the grass just fine, easy to store and a good price. So no complaints here.

Cuts the grass and easy to store

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe mower was fairly easy to assemble and I managed to complete the task without help. I found it very light in weight compared to my old Bosch mower which was comparable in size. This gave an impression that the mower lacked substance and felt a bit cheap. Initially the mower seemed to bounce around a lot and didn’t cut the grass as closely as I had hoped. However when my old Bosch mower was dismantled for disposal we found a 2kg metal weight inside the casing…..a bit of a naughty way of giving the impression of solidity! I now use this weight tucked safely behind the ‘handle’ on the body of the Flymo mower. This extra weight stops the bounce and results in a better cut. Perhaps Flymo should copy Bosch’s cheat ??

Bought this when my old Flymo rotary died on me, does all it say’s, good mower, but for me & my lawn the 30″ cut is small, & the blade could drop a bit lower, would be great for small/medium’ish garden, doesn’t edge well either, also not sure there’s a replacement blade available??, all of this mean’s extra mowing. I’m saving now for a 32″ next spring. It was easy to assemble.

It’s everything that they say This is my third one and all have been excellent and Very light one of the reasons I have bought them as I cut my lawn and then lift it onto a 4 foot hedge to do next doors Would highly recommend to everyone

I absolutely love this lawnmower!! Replaced a reasonably modern flymo with this because health issue meant I found the flymo heavy work. This lawnmower is so easy to manoeuvre around the garden & means that it is no longer a dreaded chore! The grass box seemed very flimsy when I was assembling it & took a little but of working out for fitting to the the mower but once I’d played around with it for 10 mins it was sturdy & solid & it was ready to go. It cuts the grass well & it collects it all so no sweeping up. No regrets with purchase at all

Had a similar model bought many years ago and has only recently broken. Having reviewed many new models On line I decided to purchase this one again and have not been disappointed. It is lightweight to manoeuvre and easy to assemble. Produces nice stripes on lawn. Height can be adjusted quite easily.

This is a lightweight mower, which should assist in moving around the garden. Because it is quite small, there is no need to fold the handle down – it fits into the shed easily and I just wheel it out and start cutting! The cutting heights are very good – I like my grass quite short, so use the 3rd height up. Personally, I had a few difficulties putting the grass box together, which took a while and needed 2 to get the connections correctly aligned so that the two large halves of the lawn box fitted correctly. Overall, a very good mower. I wish I had replaced my old one with this earlier.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI chose this lawnmower initially because I always thought that Flymo was a good trusted manufacturer. As I had owned Flymo items in the 1980s, which lasted years. ( My Flymo strimmer is still going strong 40 yrs on) I was initially attracted to this one because it had a roller and my mission was to get stripes on my lawn.
When I unboxed I was surprised how flimsy it was. But nevertheless I proceeded with assembly which was very easy. Apart from the handle of the grass collection box which almost snapped as I tried to slot the handle in. this was very plasticy.
Eventually all plugged in and off I go. I checked the height of the wheels underneath (highest setting) noticed that the rear roller was plastic. Grass was pretty long (4 inches) but it coped ok. Edge to edge of grass was cut tight and neat, and mower completed the cutting great, and even. I then decided that the stripes were not that noticeable. The grass wasn’t pushed forward by the roller all that was visible was the tracks from the wheels. So I put the mower upside down and lowered the setting to medium. What a dangerous nightmare that was. Obviously after unplugging I had to yank the wheels to move them into a lower slot. How dangerous it was almost jamming my fingers in the axel as the springs are so tight. Now Medium height (3 height modes on this model) off I go again. Still no stripes. Fed up, Wound cable into floppy cable hooks,. Put mower away. One week later started again. This time on lowest cutting mode. This mode I found it too short to create stripes. But annoyingly, the mower cut out twice. I checked everything…plugs. Connection. Dead. When I turned upside down I also noticed the paint on blade was peeling off. So that was my cue to return it.

    However I give It 4 stars because…
    It’s light
    It’s easy to assemble
It’s nippy round the lawn and not an effort at all to push though any length of grass. The cable is not long but hey that’s a good thing because there’s no continual winding on the hooks. (Why can’t someone invent a cable that springs back like some vaccum cleaners?) Lolol

I have bought 300R again hoping this time it won’t go dead on me!

    Happy mowing everyone 🙂

Overall very pleased with the mower, the large grass box is excellent and the 38 cms blade cuts right up the the lawn edges. On the minus side, the length of the lead is just too short for my lawns. It would be a good idea and added value as well as a necessary safety device’ to fit as standard, an anti surge plug, just in case you accidentally ran over the live lead.
Delivery was a nightmare, I received an ‘Electric Fan’ instead of the ‘Lawn Mower’ and had to send it back before being able to take delivery of my original order. This all took over three weeks, which is highly unsatisfactory.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOur last mower final broke down after about 15 years.

I guess we trust the Flymo brand so preferred it over other cheaper options. We wanted the 32 cm cutting width mower but it had sold out, so for an extra 15 we bought this one at 92.

Went for electric corded mower as worried still about the battery life of a battery pack mower, and it adds another 60 or more to the price. Although the Flymo Mighti-Mo is on sale for 150, here on Amazon.

A small and nimble mower that hardly takes up any room in the shed. The dull orange colour is not bad. The 10 metre electric cable is long enough for our garden. The cuttings collect neatly in the box.

Was very easy to assemble, no tools required. It is so light you can pick it up with one hand and go for a little walk to the end of your garden.
Good for small to medium gardens. Gets pretty close to the fence, though you will still need a strimmer.
Very easy to manoeuvre around the garden, had no problems going up and down the garden with it.
The wheels have adjustable height, so depending on how short or long you want your grass, just turn the mower blade up (unplug from mains first) and pull then push each wheel to where you want it. Please make sure all wheels are on the same height else you will have a wobbly lawn mower. (Mistake I made) . End result a very tidy cut lawn.

The grass box seems very flimsy it takes a steady hand to line each half up and snap together, would not advice a heavy hand. But once you have connected the two halves, it fits very easy to the back of the mower, just lift the flap at the back, clip the grass box on and let the flap rest on the box. And you are good to go

Lawn mower was very easy to clean after, i used a small hand brush to get behind the blade and in the little gaps and clean off the wheels. .
As I don’t have a shed at the moment I store the mower in the box it arrived in. Just folded down the handles and put back in the box with the grass box on top.
    Happy gardening.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis is a good little mower. It is cheap so don’t expect professional landscaping equipment.
We have a small bit of grass and I had enough cutting it with the trimmer so ordered one of these. It is easy to assemble and light to push around. The only thing I found a bit flimsy is the collector thing which seems pretty weak.
I gave it 4 stars because it feels cheap but I spent 50 quod so what else can I expect? It is ok for what I need but any larger garden would need something more beefy.

Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersFor the price, this is a really good lawnmower!

Prior to that and because we have a small garden here, we had tried a Bosch AHM 38 G Manual Garden Lawn Mower, which was only a couple of pounds cheaper. Boy did that misfire! The Bosch manual mower was just painful to use and would randomly clog or tear up entire pieces off of our lawn every couple of meters. We returned it after the first try and decided we should try to do things properly and get an electric lawnmower, especially as there was not much of a price difference.

We eventually chose that Flymo Easimo mower and couldn’t be happier!
    – adjusting the cutting height is really easy and requires no tool whatsoever.
    – the product is quite safe and you have to press 2 buttons to get it on.
    – the blade cuts relatively close to the edge.
    – great cut quality even on a slightly damp / humid lawn (we just tried today).
    – the mower feels light and is easy to push up and down your garden. Our garden has a bit of a slope in some area and the mower goes everywhere without any issue.
    – emptying the grassbox is also quite easy. The grassbox is not huge but it will compact grasses there and therefore for the volume, the grassbox can accommodate quite a lot of grasses.
    – the noise level generated by the mower is more than acceptable and it’s not one of those mowers you feel you have to wear earplugs to use.

    On the downside:
    – the cable is a bit short. Our garden is small and we have to use an extension to be able to go all the way to the end.
    – not sure if that’s how it’s meant to be but I find the bolts used to attached the handle somewhat flimsy and you can’t really tighten them, or at least not as much as I wish I could.
    – the lawnmower is somewhat imbalanced. With a full grassbox (and the grassbox gets full quickly), the lawnmower tilts backwards under its own weight.

Overall a great product and very happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBrilliant. For years I used a flymo hover machine, thinking it was lighter than a wheeled lawn mower. As I have a very bad back I needed to ensure that mowing was not too heavy. My neighbour let me try her turbo version of the wheeled mower and I realised how easy it could be. So I bought this one, as I only have a small lawn, and it is a pleasure to use. Even changing the height is simple and my lawn has never looked so good. It is only a narrow cut so if you have a medium sized laden I think a wider mowing surface would be better. But for me this one is just what I needed, and as it wheels into the shed, no more lifting to carry it in.
