I bought this for my Autistic granddaughter who likes to craft with me and who really liked the previous Galt sewing kit I got her. I also chose Galt as it is a quality brand.
Only one item made so far, the little neck purse but this showed a problem.
It cam with one long length of cord and no guidance about how long to cut sections into to sew the various part together, and it was too long a length for a child to use in one piece.
This meant there was not enough to cord for the neck strap but luckily I had some 5mm ribbon to use.
A good ‘stocking filler’ present. Several things to make in the box, each in its own packet so bits don’t get mixed up
Our six year old granddaughter enjoyed making them as she could do them by herself.
I really liked this, I bought for my granddaughter who is 5. She likes watching me crafting and thinks this is brilliant. Very easy to use, colourful and encourages hand to eye coordination and motor skills.
I bought this for My 5year old granddaughter’s birthday and she liked it but there’s not enough lace for all the other things to make that comes with it. Hoping that I’m able to get some more laces to do the other things in the box.

Bought this for my 5 year old’s birthday. Just spent a lovely morning with her and her 8 year old sister sewing the kits. They absolutely loved it. So easy to do and you end up with something practical and lovely to use! Highly recommend. I’m going to buying sone spares as pressies.
This product came with my granddaughter ready and waiting. The packaging inside was brilliant, I don’t think I have come across such packaging in all the time I have ordered craft items. My granddaughter was instantly in love with it. She is aged 6.
My 8 year old granddaughter enjoyed making the items and was able to do them by herself. This was bought as a Christmas present and she was very pleased with it.
My 6 year old granddaughter loves this little kit so much. I’m a fashion designer so when she visits she gets to do some sewing with me sometime. Now having her own little personal sewing kit she is so delighted. She said : “there is a lot of very cool stuff in hear nanna” That’s a 5 vote from a very happy 6 year old!!
Other than that, brilliant little art box
This turned out to be a great success with my 5 and a half year old granddaughter at Xmas. It was a little extra I couldn’t resist, as I remember having something similar at the same age, and the idea had the same effect – a newly discovered interest in sewing. I’m particularly impressed by the quality of the materials which create totally useable cute items – actually now I recall stitching a plastic purse 62 years ago which I treasured for a long time . . . Old style toys are often the best!
Bought this for a gift but it arrived without any wrapping and the large distribution label stuck directly onto the back of the box which covered some contents information and of course didn’t look so good when giving as a present. (However – I appreciate that it was delivered promptly over what was a very busy Christmas period – so thank you for that!) On this occasion I don’t think the 6 year old it was given too was too bothered!
Great as a sewing introduction for kids. It turned out she already had an instruction at school so or daughter started the cushion straight away with a lot of enthusiasm.
Now at that stage the main issue surfaced, being that without practice its hard to sew straight. And she actually found it hard to push the needle through, requesting assistance. Soon frustration kicked in and while she started a few of the other projects, none has been finished so far.
