Had an earlier model which wore out, got this as a replacement.
Just needed a watch just to tell me how far green is didnt need it for anything else display big enough so i dont need to rumage for my glasses!!
I have used this numerous times & it is amazing, I have used it on 2 different golf courses & found it to be very acurate.
Although not touch screen very simple to use battery very good
Basic functions which are easily navigated on the watch. It is accurate and gives distance to front middle and back of green at a glance. Usually takes about 45 seconds to locate satellites. The dark screen is best for use in sunlight. Haven’t used the apps functions yet to follow any stats. But this watch does exactly what it says on the tin and is a good entry level purchase. The strap is rubberised and a bit fiddly to adjust under the fixing bar. This is however me being picky on what is a great product at the price point.
I have used GPS devices before and this one is great as its on your wrist. N
I cant comment too much about the battery life but it does last a full round and then some so it should be good for all courses. Since I have started using it my scores have been steadly coming down, not sure if I been lucky or because i have had an accurate distance on my wrist.
What i like is being able to get a distance to and to carry water, or a bunker.
I dont think you can go wrong with this on your wrist.
Very accurate, does everything that I want, battery life is not great but easy to charge.
First golf GPS. Easy to use, gives me exactly what I wanted – accurate yardage to front, middle, back. Used it for several games and thus far, great.
I’m not bothered about the app and storing scores etc.
his a solid performing gps watch excellent for first entry gps device
Came very quickly. Easy and quick to charge. Light weight on the wrist. Found the courses very quickly.
Easy to use but read the manual to understand what the buttons control. Very pleased.
There is nothing to dislike about this golf watch. It gives you more than just front middle and back yardage. I would have no hesitation in recommending this Garmin watch.
he did everything i wanted and at an exremely good price
The GPS is exactly what I expected but the granite blue colour is more granite than blue. That said, for 80 pounds it’s still a bargain.
For the money this watch is perfect, lightweight and wont harm your swing.
This is an updated version of my old one. Much easier to use, and lighter. Better battery life as well.
Like it. takes a bit of getting to know the buttons to press.
What more do you need from a gps golf watch. Accurate yardages and front /middle / back. Defo worth a few shots a round.
It’s a bit fiddly and needs some getting used to but it’s very well made and accurate
Garmin equals quality. This watch is so lightweight that it is possible to forget that you are wearing it.
Battery life is great and state is on display, course distances are accurate. Am still confused when on course when time is limited to find some features, scoring, shot distance and change hole needed when playing the back nine first. Have not been able to connect to the App. yet as there are no instructions to do this. Display is great and fit is comfortable and light.
The product was a gift for my son
He was “thrilled to bits” but I cannot give useful information on assessme
The Garmin S10 has been great for me. I took a while to decide if I wanted range finders or a GPS device and finally plumped for this. I turn it on at the start of a round, select my course, choose “Start Round”, and that’s it. If I want to know how far it is to the centre of the green, I just look at it (I don’t like wrist devices so it’s attached to my bag). It auto detects when you’ve moved on to the next hole, so no interaction is needed. I definitely didn’t want the faff of using range finders. If you need more information such as how far to hazards on the hole, how far to the front and rear of hazards or how far to the 150yd marker, it’s a simple scrolling action using up and down buttons. I turn it off after every round and recharge it. It supposedly lasts for 36 holes but I haven’t tried the yet. Minor downsides are it can take a minute or two to locate satellites and on my main course, the first and tenth tees are quite close, so sometimes I have to manually change the selected tee from the tenth to the first at the start of a round. Definitely minor gripes on my part because this is perfect for me, a high handicapper who only really wants distance to the green.
Does exactly what it’s designed to do, very impressed.Tried on 4 different golf courses so far with no problems whatsoever.
Lovely cheap little golf GPS watch. Makes an awful, spiteful, miserable, depressingly game just a little more enjoyable.
Wasn’t sure if this would be very helpful to me as I am a relative golf novice. However, decided to give one a try and finding it really helpful to plan which club to use. I certainly think this has improved my game.
Best value no gimics straight forward easy to use. Use for golf every day and as an ordinary watch. Appears flimsy at first but has weathered well. This is my second watch bought when I thought the first was broken only to find it was the charging cable that had given up the ghost. Glad to have a spare though. Will go for two rounds or 5 days ordinary use.
I have had this Garmin only a couple of weeks but am very happy with it. It is light on the wrist, appears to be accurate and the battery life adequate for any average golf course.
It is a brilliant watch. Now just have to learn to transmit what it’s telling me to my clubs!!
Not used all functions yet but looks good so fa
Easy to use, good battery life, better than expected.does everything I need it to do for golf.this watch is excellent quality great product at a great price
Very happy with this product. Ease of use and convenience during play. I had to contact the service provider for assistance in setting it up and they were most helpful
Great product. Very accurate. Does the job perfectly. Easy to set up too. I use it every week on the course.
Very comfortable to wear accurate measurements and updates as you move to each hole. Would highly recommend as it is a good price for the item.
I purchased this watch after a recommendation from a fellow golfer, it has in the short time I have used it helped my game
Picks up courses well via GPS. Navigation of device menus whilst on the course is not as intuitive as it might be, unless it’s just me. Got 30 off on Prime Day which made it a better deal than it would otherwise have been. Can only link to your PC via cable; no Bluetooth for connecting the phone app to it so may need to look at higher spec models if that’s important to you.
Awesome basic golf watch for measuring yards. Nice and basis woulove it to work on phone app but with it the basic one it works on laptop.
I had the S1 originally which was basic but all I needed/wanted only replaced it with S10 as the strap broke. The s10 is just as good probably better as it has distanced to hazards. Battery life is good did 27 holes with loads of life still left. If u want a watch with no faffing around, this is the 1 for you.
Great purchase & cheap at 110 ! – does exactly what it needs to. Has helped me loads with judging shots to the green. Very pleased with this watch.
I have now used this watch a few times and it is very accurate. Easy to set up although I couldn’t get the date working but that might just be me. Picks up the course within minutes of turning it on. You can also keep your score on this watch but I haven’t used this as have a score card. I have checked different markers on the golf course, 200, 150 and 100 and all seem to be with in 1-2 yards. Gives you lay up distance for hazards and dog legs. this watch has given me an advantage with club selection I just need to start swinging at the same speed on every shot. Taken about 4 shots off each time I have played and this watch is working great for me. Tiger Woods watch out! Played 3 rounds over a weekend without charging it once so battery life is very good. only downside is the side buttons get pressed when on your glove hand so it takes a little time getting used to this and making sure your glove doesn’t touch. very glad I bought this. Would highly recommend.
I bought it to replace a S1 i have had for many happy years, but unfortunately dropped & drove over it.
With the S1 now obsolete, I was looking for the most similar at the best price. The S10 has all & more of the functions of the S1 & I am now getting used to navigating through them. The S10 is certainly lighter than the S1, but I’m a little worried that the strap is certainly flimsy in comparison, & a bit fiddly to adjust.
Prefer the plug in charger on the S10, & the charging time is certainly improved.
I’ve only had it about 4 weeks, so early days, but so far so good.
Only used it a couple of times and still trying to get used to the buttons when on the course, especially trying to end the round, but excellent for distance judgeme
Great bit of kit, does the job. Only disappointment was 1 week after buying it, I saw it 20 cheaper on one of my regular golf sites!!
Just purchased this product and so far, so good. Used on two courses recently although it did have problems syncronizing for the 2nd 9 on the 9 hole course. Eventually came good after switching off and on!. Hopefully it will work world-wide.
Battery life seems to keep its charge quite well. Price from Amazon quite reasonable compared with other products.
Sits on wrist well looks smart relatively easy to use once used a few times.
Has distances to front and back for 99% of bunkers/ditches/water hazards.
Lightweight and sleek looking.
Has been a good purchase at competitive price.
Bought this to replace a goif buddy watch its light and comfortable to wear and seems very accurate and has all the functions you want or would expect considering it’s one of the cheaper options available
Easy to use and accuracy appears good, definitely accurate enough for someone of my standard where a yard either way makes no difference to how far the ball goes! Good buy and easy to use.
Nice and light to wear, and seems accurate. Battery life much better than my old one – get 3 rounds instead of 1.
There are two main problems with it. It takes ages to locate a satellite; usually it times out and you have to start again, then you can choose the course you want. The other problem is less of an issue but irritating when it happens. Normally, it changes to the next hole OK but if it doesn’t, it is fiddly to change manually. On my old Garmin S2 you just press one of the buttons to change hole; now yo have to press a button to say you want to change hole and only then can you change. The buttons aren’t always responsive.
Single figure golfer .I have a laser range finder and always fancied a watch to try .this is low price but does everything you could want .it’s not a touch screen but the buttons are easy to use even with my sausage fingers.battery life is pretty good and the screen is great even in sunlight 8/10
Great value, as GPS accurate as ones twice the price. To avoid frustration takke time to download and read fully the user guide before you go play golf, then you will understand and navigate the functions better. I will say it again… GREAT VALUE!
Easy and intuitive to use. It’s great having instant yardages even with no line of sight. Seems accurate when checked against a laser.
It’s one thing knowing the distance, another hitting it exactly that distance though!
Work fine and quite accurate distance after I worked how to use the watch
Great price on B-Friday for a good bit of kit. Good accuracy on the course.
Only used it twice but love it. Only a few seconds to pick up the golf course and constantly updating yardage. The score counter function is handy as well. Wish it linked to an app instead of having to cable link to a computer.
Does exactly what you want it to do and more. Great value for money.
Watch good for what you want it for: distance to front middle and when you want a quick glance to give you a rough idea.
Mobile to go along side it is a bit ropey better off using a aftermarket app like golfshot.
With the garmin app my home course apparently has a 500 yard par 3 and numerous lakes I didn’t know we had.
Overall a good product for my first fray into the yardage on a watch scene
Good entry level golf watch. The only criticism is the strap is very thin and quite awkward to get done up properly.
Upgraded from the s3. The s10 is thinner, lighter and has a simple on button rather than having to swipe to start. It also gives distance to hazzards and simple to use it to score. Thought the s3 was good, this is however so much better.
Little used so far as weather has resulted in closed course, followed by lockdown.
The delivery of the watch was on time, and very securely delivered. Really nice watch, although instructions a bit sparse. I wasted a lot of time trying to access “demo mode” (see image of what appears on the watch – simple enough but kept going to “Start Round” & searching for satellites instead).
I decided to email Garmin Product Support & eventually they confirmed (1) demo mode on my new watch was disabled and (2) demo mode on their watch was disabled too! They didn’t know when or why the demo was disabled, so are investigating. Hopefully, it’ll be sorted soon.
Does what it says on the tin. Good to have on the course.
i chose to purchase at the quality i wanted but less functionality, just wanted basic information and it does exactly that. clear vision and light in weight, happy with my selection. I have other garmin products and bought on that knowledge.
Very accurate on course battery at least 3 rounds before recharge, works on app ok
This is a good golf watch, gives you the accurate yardages to front/middle/back of the greens, hazards and etc. When it starts, it takes a couple of minutes to locate the course, here you go. The battery life gives you three full rounds when it is new and fully charged, then reduces to two in about 4 months. I am happy with its performance.
The only improvement needed for this watch is the watch straps. One watch strap came completely loose in the first 2 months, the watch fell out of my wrist during a golf swing. This was because the glue that holds the watch and the strap became inactive. The same happened to the replacement watch in 6 months. I see that there are two screws on each side of the straps in the 2nd replacement watch, this would hopefully eliminate the glue problem.
Purchased S10 to replace an S4 wow what a difference much easier to use as they’ve gone a way from a touch screen which could be a bit of a pain as clothing could change screens.S10 has 4 function buttons and a great easy to see display in all conditions.
You need to use Garmin Express to download your scorecard and this isn’t available on Chromebook. This doesn’t have bluetooth either, so can’t use Garmin Express on mobile either. Luckily we had an old Windows laptop so did data transfer on that which is annoying as the laptop is so slowww to boot up as it’s old, hence the Chromebook. Garmin did a crafty thing there. Apart from this annoyance the product itself works fine.
Great product and easy to use with the Garmin app also. It is accurate and helps to drill down on your golf game should you be looking to search for your distances for each club. The watch allows message and email notifications. It also tells you who is calling. So operates as a smart watch almost too. Great product.
The thing I did not like is the strap. It’s so light it takes me quite a few goes to get the end threaded through to do it up. My other Garmin watches were so much easier to put on.
Like most of these type of watches which i only use for golf so often reads a different distance to the green with the other watches my mates use. Not a problem for me as my golf is not that good to worry.
Don’t think that I need all the other Information the watch gives me. For me the simpler the better
this watch will
It is accurate and really helps select the right club for the right distance. At least if you know what your average distance is per club. As an incompetent golfer I know that 100 yards is approximately a 7 club length. That helps select the appropriate club for longer or shorter distances. What I like less is the stroke counting facility. Sometimes I mess up the count on a hole and I haven’t found out yet how to correct it. I now end up with an inaccurate count for the round. Anyway, I think it is an excellent help and should be part of every golfer’s equipme
Neat watch which does all you need. Takes a couple of rounds to get the hang of it but then pretty easy to operate. Previously had a Snooper Shotsaver with a colour screen but this is almost as good.
This watch can be quite frustrating when out on the golf course. I play off the ladies’ tees and the watch only moves on to the next hole if it happens to pass the gents’ tee. Otherwise you have to manually move it on which can be a bit fiddly. Often coming up with the “end round” option.
It sometimes takes time to locate the current golf course requiring a few attempts to do so.
Battery lasts for one round (18 holes) and it is best if you leave it on charge until your next round of golf.
It seems to pretty accurate, i play with other golfers who have other more expensive watches and we are always within a yard or 2 of each other.
It’s pretty simple to operate, the App doesn’t give you much apart from a record of your scores, so doesn’t work out handicap or putts per roaound etc
At the price it is very good value and distance accuracy within a couple of yards. I went away on a golf trip and played a few different courses. I checked the watch from the 150 yard markers and par 3 tees and was surprised how accurate it was compared to my old Garmin and my playing colleagues much more expensive rangefinders.. A few add on’s which I don’t really use. I am able to get 2 rounds off the battery as long as it’s within 4 to 4 and a half hours per round. It’s a bit difficult to know if the battery is fully charged but apart from that happy with my purchase.
It’s much different from the previous Garmin golf watch I used. Still trying to figure it out. Instructions very minimal and poor.
Arrived on time well packaged. Value for money golfers watch. Simple setup and although the buttons are a bit fiddly to begin with, it doesn’t take long to master them. if you require courses, yardages and basic info of the course then I would recommend this.
I like the grey colour that I had chosen and I like the flexibility of the strap which is easy to do up.
Initially I found it tricky to know which buttons to use for which functions but after about 4 games I am now more familiar with what I need to do to find the hazard distances etc. I think it would help greatly if the instructions sent out with the watch were a bit more explicit. I had to use trial and error as this watch replaced my previous Bushnell Neo golf watch and I was used to that system and this new watch is a little different to operate.
Time will tell how impressed I become on this watch as its really too early to tell properly yet.
I only wanted a basic entry level golf watch and this ticked all the boxes. Typically my golf partner has a more expensive model but when we compare distances they are within a yard of each other and while his has a couple of other functions they are not, in my opinion, worth the extra cost. Instructions are limited so you learn best by using the watch. This can result in some annoying mistakes in the early days which can distract from your game. However all the basic data is there once you know how to find it: accurate distances to front middle and back of the green, basic hazards and distances to the front and back of these and recommended layups and distances. Plus ability to record your scores and download these later. I’d say this is a good entry level watch.
This is an accurate lightweight golf watch and came up to most of my expectations. However, I have used the S2
and find the control buttons on the S10 not as simple to use.
It does have additional features to the S2 and will take time to become used to it.
Is a good addition to my game and very accurate for distance to hazards and greens however 2 minor issues , takes longer than my old S1 to find satellites and also if holes are close together doesn’t update and has to be moved forward manually
I had to upgrade from an older Garmin after the screen died, so was very pleased by the new scrollable hazard list on most holes as the older version did not have this function
This version is not touch screen and I find this better as it doesn’t change whilst your hands are in your pockets on a cold day.
The device is accurate and easy to read at a glance
Very happy with i
Just used my garment approach range finder it easy to use and found my course easily it is light on the wrist as not to feel that I had it on. The buttons were easy to navigate and accurate yardage given had to push some holes on when they were in close proximity but it was easily done you don’t have to a techno wiz to do it after 2 rounds of golf only used half of the battery life the watch strap feels that you need to treat it carefully as it may break but time will tell but overall very pleased with my purchase and have recommended it to my friends
The watch does what is says and the distance is spot on. Just wish it tracked the round when you downloaded…but I suppose the more expensive models do that. Really happy with the product for the price. Does what I need and has helped already
a little disappointed its not touch screen but it does the job well. I find the best way to use it is to ignore the score keeping and let the system run . Its very fiddle other wise pressing buttons with a golf glove getting in the way.
For the price it is excellent value. Gives all the distances, front, middle and back of the green. Gives distances to hazards,9 bunkers etc. You can also keep your score by entering number of strokes after each hole. You can upload your score to the computer to keep track. Battery life is sufficient for a couple of games. The strap is a bit flimsy so we will see how long it lasts.
Had an S1 for years, upgraded thanks to Prime day – One read through of the quick start guide and was able to track my whole round, no issue with the watch autorolling to next hole, added strokes at each green and easily navigated menu to amend the odd incorrect entry. Yardage is also accurate as used it on a new course and had no problems navigating bunkers/dog legs
The button presses could ‘feel’ more solid, however as the product is lightweight by design, I feel this suits the watch.
Only downside is that after two rounds the wear is already showing on the backplate as pictured
Lastly this does not connect to the Garmin golf app, you need an s20 if that’s what you’re after (I was just interested in ‘on the day’ yardage, I’m not hoping for a green jacket in the near future anyway(!)
It is a big improvement on my first Garmin golf watch which lasted 8 years. This one does have problems loading the course and is slow at first. It is more accurate than course markers and other gps watches often by several yards.
The product is extremely lightweight , which is great for comfort , but I do wonder about the life of the strap for example ….but this is yet to be known given that I have only had the watch a couple of months . The operation is still a bit of a mystery …..it does not seem to correspond to the instructions , although I have always managed to get what I want by experimentation , so will probably crack it soon !!! Overall in these early days , seems to work well and the battery life is better than previous ones I have owned . So far so good.
Purchased as a gift and recipient was ecstatic by the quality and accuracy of golf watch. Has been used at various golf course in the UK and recently used in Spain. Has assisted him to perfect his game and win. 100% recommendable to other customers wondering if they should purchase; please do, you will not be disappointed. Delivery and packaging good too, arrive safely an excellent value for money.
This is my first proper golf GPS watch and I am not disappointed. I used it for the first time yesterday and am very impressed. Can be a little fiddly at first to navigate the buttons but after that it’s plain sailing. It’s also very comfortable to wear as an everyday warch
Lightweight watch and fits comfortably. Can be a bit “fiddly” on first using till you get used to the operating buttons on each side but generally easy to use. Picks up the courses quite quickly when switched on. Occasionally changes hole too quickly and you need to manually go back. Distances shown are accurate to within 1 or 2 yds against course markers. Wristband is integrated with the watch face and not replaceable separately. Battery easily lasts two full rounds and use as a standard watch afterwards before recharging. Overall, happy enough with the purchase
I’ve played courses in the U.K. and the USA, the watch automatically recognised them all and has been accurate on them all. I don’t use most of the functions, just the yardage to front, back & middle of greens and to the bunkers and hazards. Battery lasts for a couple of rounds. Excellent value for money. The strap is rubbery and I feel the need to be careful with it although it’s very comfortable and probably tougher than it looks.
Delivery excellent, arrived precisely on time. As described, very light weight, strap a little fiddly. Buttons can be a little unresponsive, can take a couple of presses before anything happens. Overall very impressed would have given 5 stars but switching between functions and strap suggest only 4
it works well and has a good battery life. Can be a bit slow on picking up satellites and you have to tell it which course you are on. Doesn’t automatically go to the course and if you forget it defaults back to a watch and you have to start again.
A really good piece of kit. Was umming and erring about what club tracker to get, I didn’t want to have to remember to either tag the club before every shot, or to enter the club into a watch, and I’m delighted with this.
V easy to use and set up, and post round results are 95% accurate. Gets a bit confused around the greens, especially if you carry two clubs in your watch hand (putter and chipper etc), but very easy to edit afterwards.
Not having any problems with it picking up clubs (although I naturally play a few practise swings anyway), so genuinely just wear it and forget (without having to tap anything etc) as long as you remember to mark the watch over the hole (easy to edit again if you forget).
The watch itself is quite big, but fits very well and isn’t heavy. As a yardage watch alone it is very good, albeit a tad clunky looking.
I’m sure in a couple of years everything will be smaller and even more reliable, but very happy with it and enjoy poring over all the stats.
As someone who always “comes up short” when approaching on any hole I’ve taken the plunge and decided to purchase one of these to give me the confidence selecting the right club and overall momentum of my swing. The GPS finds courses quickly and covers 9/10 holes in my area. I play on a 9-Hole course which is perfect for me but nothing special, but I was pleased to find it on the list of courses. It’s perfect for gauging any distance to the front/middle/back of the green as well as hazards/doglegs on par 4/5 holes, I’m a high handicapper so having the distance laid out in front of me is ideal as in theory this should eliminate those shots accumulated to make up for all those times I’ve misread the approach and come up short! There is a garmin app you can sync the watch with to record your scores, but I’ve yet to use this feature. My only gripe would be that the strap is a wee bit flimsy, it takes some force to strap/unstrap the watch and I’m worried that this may cause the rubber to split over time.
Clear display even in bright sunlight. Distance to front, middle and back of green from your current position. Options to score and display up distances to hazards and green (neither of which I use). Also gives duration of round and total distance covered. Battery life is good (at least 2 rounds). Gave 4 stars because, being an LCD, the display requires a backlight to be useful as a watch.
Great watch for both normal use and golf use. Gives detailed information on distances to greens and hazards and handy to input your score as you go around the course. Occasionally you have to force it to change hole if some greens are very close together but on the whole very accurate. When setting time and date make sure you have a gps signal which usually means you have to be outdoors.
Light weight , clear display . Good basic functionality , seems generally accurate ( although there was a difference of ~ 4/5 m when compared to a Bushnell – don’t know which was more accurate ) , but as something used for a general distance guide generally pleased with it’s operation.
Superior to my previous early Garmin. With updates on line provides reliable GPS information. To be picky I found the buttons a bit fiddly and no that intuitive how to move to important stuff like ending round. Also the strap is a bit floppy for easy tucking into the loop. To be fair though, after half a dozen games I find I’m well on top of the tec even though I’m an old guy. Overall well pleased and feel was good value
I liked the clarity of the distances on the golf courses, but dislike the fact that it does not always automatically advance from hole to hole, unless one is in a position to pass the men’s tee.
This was purchased by the family for husband/dad’s birthday and he loves it. He says it is very easy to use and the large face means that he can see the time and other info without his specs!
