I purchased this nearly a year ago now and it is my most used small kitchen appliance. More than the microwave, more than the air fryer, more than the slow cooker, the toaster, even the kettle. Ok maybe I use the coffee machine a little bit more but you get the point. It is an appliance which I actually use very frequently. I love grilled food and use this for everything from burgers to bacon, chicken breasts to fish steaks, grilled veg to grilled sandwiches. It’s so good and it’s mostly very easy to clean. It’s also much less fiddly to cook enough food for the whole family with this versus the smaller George foreman type grills that I’ve had before. If this broke I would absolutely buy another.

I am stunned how well this product works. Super easy to use, heats up quickly and it is smokeless.

I have a very sensitive fire alarm and I have no air aspiration so 6 times out of 10 times I would trigger the alarm when i am in the kitchen.

I have been using the grill for nearly one month now and I have triggered the alarm only once.

The grill is super ease to clean as well as it does fit easy in a regular dishwasher.

I have to praise this seller. He is very attentive. When I opened the package and saw 2 sweet packets, I felt heart warming. When I recycle the packaging a few days later, I find the note and smile on the list, which makes me even more sure as a show of support. This grill is sold everywhere, the quality is of course no problem, but if you choose, you might as well consider this seller, like one

Does what it say’s. you do get a little smoke but it’s got to be expected. Easy to clean and dishwasher safe . Loads of room for food on the grill.

I really love BBQ food and don’t have a garden so this was ideal for me.

It cooks burgers and steaks like a dream. It’s surprisingly easy to clean as it seperates into 3 sections. There is very little smoke mostly but I found cooking bacon on it causes the most smoke.

It won’t give food the charcoal flavor of a BBQ but will make meat very moist and tender and gives it the iconic grill lines.

I use this pretty much everyday now and would very much recommend it to anyone. Just make sure to use plastics or wooden tongs/spatula so you don’t damage the non stick coating

Great product. Very simple but does exactly what it should. Easy to control temperature, doesn’t generate smoke. It is very easy to clean. It takes a few attempts to learn controlling the temperature but it’s not rocket science. Usually, I heat it up to maximum and then set it to med med-high. Food may slightly stick (especially, when using marinades) but it’s not really a big issue so there is no really need to use any extra fat when cooking.

This is an excellent item. It is very easy to use and clean. Plenty of room; I had 6 1/4lb burgers and 12 sausages on it it the same time. Cleaning is so easy; just remove the excess fat with a spatula then wash with a soapy cloth. The heating element is the only thing that i did not really like as it heats more at one end of the grill plate than the other.

The way forward for me. No more looking at the weather for bbq. Fantastic as you can adjust the temperature just to keep things warm. Enough for a family of five to bbq on. No more black bbq food.

    Perfect for all weathers.

We have always found tepinyaki the best method of outdoor/awning barbecuing. This item offers a much more quality way of cooking. The excess fat is retained in the drip tray. It is extremely easy to clean. After several uses it still retains its newness. We use this to cook steaks at home on a Saturday night. Not true to say totally smokeless but very little smoke. Easier than pan frying, and less mess.

It took a little bit longer (than what was saying in to the instructions) for meat to cook, but we were expecting that. The meat/vegetables taste GREAT. Will we buy it again? YES! Would we recommend it? YES (if you are a realistic enough and do not expect the meat to be cooked as quick as you clap your hands).
Just be aware that the grill it is not smokeless. We use it outside and probably we would not be using it inside without placing the grill under a POWERFULL extractor hood.

    We love it ! ! !

I was skeptical when I bought it, but so glad I did.

It’s not entirely smokeless, but it works really well for both meats and vegetables. It’s also super easy to clean and perfect for a BBQ on an outdoor patio or garden. I just plugged it into an extension cord and it worked fine.

Highly recommened for people who don’t have space for a full grill – but note it does create some smoke depending on the type of meat/marinates

Love it!! Perfect for Korea BBQ

Have used the grill for chicken satay, Mediterranean vegetables as well as grilling bacon, tomatoes, hash brown and mushrooms on the table as part of an English breakfast. Personally I think the results are excellent and will continue experimenting with other foods.

The grill is easy to use and easy to clean especially as the heating element is sealed allowing the grill plate to washed.

The smokeless electric grill is very good for indoor and outdoor activity. However, this electric grill isnt 100% smokeless. When we used this grill, my smoke alarm is triggered. If you use this grill, turn off the smoke alarm first. The grill is easy to clean due to its size, but the other side is a different material. This makes that side not easy to clean. Overall this is a good electric grill.

Really really love this grill . So easy to clean , just let the plate cool down a bit and wipe with a soapy washing up cloth , no scrubbing required. So far I’ve cooked : sea bream , steak , chicken thighs , courgette and aubergine slices , bacon , burgers and burger buns ….loads more . Much healthier , just a quick swipe of flavoured olive oil ( on the food not the grill), and its ready . I have used indoors and outdoors. Indoors there is no more smoke and steam than if I used my cooker grill and a lot less than a frying pan . I have used the grill almost everyday . Wouldn’t want to be without it . I find medium low to be the best temp for most grilling then a quick burst of medium to high to finish off and get those lovely grill marks that look so appetising.

I have used it twice so fair as a bulcony outdoor grill. Burgers and sausages came out realy good. However, you might need to cook the chicken first before grilling it . Not good for chicken ( chicken came out uncooked inside), anyway chicken is always difficult even with charcoal bbq.

I will try corn, beef steak , and pork next time …….

As the title says it is very easy to set up and clean. I like to put tin foil in the bottom part so I don’t have to clean this too. I suggest you don’t cook thick pieces of meat as it doesn’t get as hot as your oven grill and it will take forever to get them done.

  33. Krystle28H says:

     United Kingdom

Good, but can’t say it is smokeless. There is a smoke, but not as much as if you use a grill pan. Other minus the grilling process very slow. You can leave the meat for 15 min, then come back and still not ready

  34. The Mummy Diary says:

Easy peasy what’s not to like? Easy smoke free cooking and easy clean up after. I did not need to put it in the dishwasher as it wiped clean with kitchen roll and a damp dishcloth and fairy liquid. Just be careful of the electric cable when using outdoors with an extension lead. You might think it feels lightweight and a bit tinny when you first unpack it, but it does the job.

A very nice grill. Good size. Big enough for 4 – 6 people. In terms of smoke, I think it largely depends on what you cook on it. It’s not completely smoke free but we didn’t set off the smoke alarm in the room. I’d recommend to have a window open slightly if you use it in a not well ventilated room.

Cleaning is easy enough. Apart from the plastic ring base and the power cord, everything else can go in to the dishwasher.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersWhat an excellent invention.
My gas barbecue broke this year, we have a smaller coal one, but have to wait an hour for that and then it cools too quickly. And then don’t get me started on the weather…. so I miss bbq’s !
This cooks slower, so took a while for the turkey kebabs to cook through, (they did) ..so a wait.. however nothing gets burnt this way. not mahoosive! but big enough to get quite a lot on as can be seen in pic. This was on full heat and it took a while, I feel like any lower would be great to keep food warm but not really cook it much more.
I will try steaks tonight which I feel will work well as they will be directly on plate and we like them rare.
Un plug and shove the electric heated plate bit in the dishwasher? I was sceptical, but its such a clever design that there is nowhere really for the water to sit. An excellent purchase that I am really happy with.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersAs the title suggests, this thing does not smoke-less than a standard GF grill, it’s MUCH worse! That said, it’s a quality kitchen appliance, with a few of flaws.

    1. The smoke. You’re going to need a window open.
    2. The fat spray. This thing will spit fat EVERYWHERE within half a foot.
    3. Temperature control: Pretty much useless on anything other than hot and medium hot. Everything else will be for defrosting or adding some continuous heat to that steak that’s cooked externally but you want to give it a little more internally without turning it into carbon.
    4. I love it!

I’ve been umming & arhing about this indoor BBQ for weeks – ever since seeing good review on The Gadget Show. But was questioning if really needed it – surely a health grill (I have the Tefal, similar to the usual lidded George Foreman grills) does pretty much the same (?), and mindful of reviews saying it isn’t really BBQ.
Looked again today (needed a present for myself and not knowing what else to get!) to find out-of-stock on Amazon (other than suspiciously low market place price, or similarly, a stupidly high price from a seller). Research on the Internet shows these are sold out everywhere at present. Which made it even more desirable to me, of course!
Managed to track down one still in stock at a High Street catalogue store (my original Amazon!), a few towns away, and raced to fetch it.
Just set it up and cooked some wagyu sausages and some minted lamb steaks. Almost no smoke (certainly a lot less than comes out of the oven when opened cooking such items; even the health grill gives a lot of smoke off it at times). Cooked beautifully, great griddle lines on the sausages and lamb was really browned on edges. Tasted better than cooking on my gas BBQ outside.
Was nice and laid back cooking on it in, turning food when required whilst getting on with other parts of the meal, or other jobs, in the kitchen.
Having expected to be disappointed, and debating if we could return it if it was rubbish, we are blown away by it. BBQ everyday, whatever the British weather!

well impressed by this product, cooking area is huge, perfect replacement for your barbeque if it starts to rain, i got this to replace my old george foreman as the old one didnt have removable plates plus those drip trays dont hold a lot of fat, this one solves both problems, drip tray holds at least 2 pints & the cooking plates easily come off to be washed in the sink with no electrics or chord in the way, another plus is this one doesnt set off my smoke alarm like my last one did, hardly any smoke, my only gripe would be that it does slide around on my work surface a bit too easily imo, it has 2 rubber pads on back but no rubber pads on front for some reason .. ? this in all is a very clever grill which even has a detachable chord which you could detach & put out of reach of children when you aint using it, this is definately a huge advance in george foreman grills & i personally will never be going back to the old style of grills again, no more hinged lids & small shallow drip trays. this is the future of george foreman grills.

cooks 8 quarter pounders & 8 sausages at once

The drip tray works well, and it is the healthier way to grill.

It heats upcast and is easy to clean and set up which is good.

One thing I am disappointed by is that this is not smokeless, sure it isn’t the same as a barbecue but you’ll still produce smoke / steam whilst cooking.

Other than that this is a great hot plate and I do recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFantastic product, living in a flat and having only a small balcony instead of a garden having a BBQ in summer is something I really miss. With this it’s a nice replacement, being smokeless aswell is great. It fits a decent amount of food on it aswell. Suitable for about 5 people at once is great too. You can control the temperature so food is cooked to your liking with ease.

It’s super easy to assemble and clean and takes little time. Being smokeless it can also be used indoors so if it starts to rain you can just bring it inside.

Overall this is fantastic and I would definitely recommend. Anyone can use it, it’s easy, well made, worth the money, cooks food well, smokeless, suitable for indoor or outdoor use and easy to clean. What more could you want.

I was thrilled when the Foreman electric grill came available as I always wanted to have one.
And I haven’t been disappointed. I grilled so,e burgers and instead of them sitting in fat it just drips through the drip tray which makes food grilled by this grill more healthy as our Raclette.
The grill is very easy to clean so no worries there. We recently moved house and have now a garden but don’t want to bother with a barbecue as we will be using this grill inside and outside.

We have used the grill with 2 adults and a child, I think you can easily use it with 5-6 people.

I have had a George Foreman grill for years, certainly more than a decade and whilst very reliable we were thinking it was time to invest in a new model. Very p!eased with this one; our former grill had a pull down grill lid so no turning was required but this made it very bulky. This grill is more of a traditional open affair and I actually prefer it. The temperature control is very straightforward and it is easy clean. It comes with the standard drip tray and is a really nice size for indoor use.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGeorge Foreman Smokeless electric grill: There is something very tasty about food cooked on an open grill rather than just under the grill. – this excellent grill provides the opportunity to open open cook in your kitchen (or you can use this outside if you wish – only need long enough cord and don’t pick a rainy day!).
I was a little sceptical of the smokeless claim so used this on my halogen hob to enable me to use the extractor fan – which I actually then didn’t need to use as it was pretty smokeless…
The grill itself is sturdy and well made, it has a good size cooking area – approx. 12 x 15 inches and will easily accommodate a mixed grill for 4, burgers for 8, and I would say generally you can cook for 6 easily. The removable trivet and drip tray have a tough titanium infused non stick coating, so very durable and the best bit is they just pop into the dishwasher and come out beautifully clean. I noted there is little splatter so the outer casing is easily wiped clean.
It does take a little while to cook food however, but then so can a barbecue – I’ve found that the central zone seems to be the hottest area and as an experiment I placed an old baking tray over the food which did speed up the cooking time, but if trying this take care not to burn your fingers. However if not in any hurry just sit back and relax, let the grill do it’s job. Really nice addition to my kitchen, delighted with the product.

I love BBQ, when I was younger I use to do it even in winter but i’m not that cool anymore :), just too old to do that so i needed and alternative to make some grill indoor and I don’t have to wait for the charcoals to get ready it heats up in just a few minutes. The best feature of this grill is that operates with no smoke. And yes this is the truth, not just a marketing slogan. There is a dripping tray underneath the grill so all the grease and fat from the meat drip there instead to burn on the grill. It has a heat control switch on the side, I’ve didn’t play to much with this i just left it in medium, works out perfectly for me. Very easy to clean and dishwasher safe but i would recommend to wipe the grease off before you put it to wash. The only mistake I did that I never checked the size, it is pretty big the actual grilling surface has a 50cm length, it’s not very economical to use it for individuals or couple it’s more for a big family. It cooks the meat perfectly end evenly, iv’e used to for stakes and burgers with some corn and mushroom next to it and come out almost the same like with a proper BBQ, but was missing a bit that nice smokey flavour. I also have to mention it has a super long power cord, very useful.
Nothing better than a proper BBQ in the garden with friend and family but with this affordable electric grill we can enjoy some taste grill food indoor before the summer arrives. Would absolutely recommend.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is quite a large grill (around 2ft wide by 1 foot deep) and weighs a fair amount, so you need a solid surface for it, and one that’s nowhere close to anything that could be damaged by heat, i.e., not under a cupboard, not close to a coffee machine, etc. For our family of three, it’s perhaps a little big but it would be great for larger parties. You can get quite a lot on this grill, and, if you don’t switch utensils or the areas in which you’re cooking, you could do veggie stuff on one side and meat/fish/chicken, etc. on the other, with plenty of space in between. You could use this as a focal point of a gathering, with people cooking their own food at the table.

This doesn’t have the smell of ‘real’ BBQ but as an easier-to-clean and greener alternative, it’s decent value for money. It’s easy to heat up, easy to control the heat and it drains fat away easily into a drip pan that’s easy to remove and clean. This means that there’s very little smoking if any, and no smoke alarms going off! It can be cleaned in the dishwasher, but it’s just as quick to use a soft brush and soap liquid in the sink. The coating makes cleaning easy and there’s no residue left in the grooves.

I’m Asian and have tried to do a homemade version of chapatti on this – it works fairly well as long as your dough isn’t too wet and you do need to leave it on for a short while so that it sort of sets, before flipping it. You can warm other breads and pitta, etc. easily on this, but I don’t think I’d try a pancake mix, even a thicker one.

Whilst it’s about 4kg in weight, it does fold into itself to make it easy to store in a fairly small space, which is a huge plus for us. I think, too, that you could take this outside in dry weather, with an extension cord and a proper level surface, too – nothing seems to suggest otherwise. Hubs has plans to use it from his camping vehicle which is being fitted with a system to allow him to plug items in.

I don’t think it’s worth 5* as I miss the scent of a real BBQ and I don’t think that the flavour of what’s cooked is quite the same; there’s something about char and charcoal… But, as an alternative, especially for us Brits who can’t rely on the weather, it’s a decent buy. It comes with a 2yr guarantee and if you register it online, there’s an additional year for free. I’m happy to have it, especially as I’m trying to reduce fat, which gets drained away cleanly, and, you don’t need to add fat for cooking, due to the non-stick coating. Bonus!

This has been fantastically useful whilst we have been having our kitchen re-fitted (no kitchen for seven weeks -eek!) but will have a life even once we have the kitchen back. The grill has three main elements – a frame in which both the drip tray and cooking surface sit and a cable/controller which plugs into the cooking surface and offers a range of temperatures. It heats up quickly and cooks very evenly across the plate. I am not sure how they do it but there is genuinely little or no smoke nor smell. The cooking surface has a very effective non-stick surface and will give a little of the striped grilling lines you would get from a griddle or barbecue although you won’t get that smoky barbecue flavour. We have cooked various meats, fish and vegetables on the grill and all have turned out well.

The great joy is that the drip tray and cooking surface can be cleaned in the dishwasher. Having said that, they are really easy to clean by hand washing too – far easier than the cast iron griddle we typically use for steak, etc..

In the UK we are not often blessed with good weather for outdoor BBQ’s but this product lets you getthe same flavour with less fat and indoors. I use this for steak and meats primerily, its bigger than I expected but fits quite a lot on. It doesnt take more than a few minutes to heat up and drains the fat away, leaving really nicely grilled food. A very useful and good quality product, this doesnt replace the other George Foreman grill I have but it does compliment it.

    Brilliant, brilliant BBQ.
This can be used indoor as well as outdoor.
It is nice and compact, with good controls.
For me this is another top quality BBQ machine from the leader. George Foreman.

This is probably the best addition to my kitchen to date. This smokeless hot plate is amazing. I have cooked homemade meat kebabs, vegi kebabs, burgers, aubergine slices, toasted wraps you name it!

They have all come out delicious and tasty. I was worried that the cleaning would be tricky but honestly it’s a doddle.

I can see us using this grill all year round. Its also a good size, not too big and yet big enough to cook several pieces of food for a meal.

For the price its a bargain. With George Foreman you know you are getting quality.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUnlike our previous George Foreman grill, this is effectively a barbecue arrangement in that you place food on the grill, and one side cooks at a time. While this is slower than using a more traditional Foreman grill, it’s certainly very effective and gives you more control over how fast you cook, and more visibility of how the food is getting along rather than having to open and close a lid.

The temperature control is really handy, the whole thing is easy to use, and it’s also very simple to clean – in fact, the two important parts that get dirty can go in the dishwasher. I’m really pleased with this; it cooks well, and is also healthy into the bargain. Four stars.

This electric grill is bigger than I thought which is great so I can put more food on it. It is easy to set up and use. There is the adjustable temperature knob, the hottest one is powerful enough and the heating panel.heats up quite fast. . Tried it on cooking lamb chops, small chicken chunks and some vegetable. It does have smoke produces but mainly with food that contains oil. So the less oil you have in the food, the less smoke it produces.
The instruction states that you can put the hot plate part and the tray into the dishwasher, Hiwever, I have 2 concerns. 1. The parts might be a bit too large to fit in some of the dishwashers. Also, I am a bit worry that it will affect the metal part on the hot plate which the power cable is connected. anyway, it not very hard to handwash it.
It is definitely a fun cooking toy, will try to bbq kebabs next time.

    Nice handy indoor barbecue grill

This is a lightweight and simple to operate grill. While the base is plastic, it is in no way flimsy and provides a solid base for the aluminium pan. The grill plate has an attractively finished non-stick coating and fits easily above the aluminium pan. The power cord is attached not by a plug but by a metal probe that fts intoone side of the grill plate. The temperature setting is easily controlled by means of a dial. Once set, the temperature is regulated by an internal thermostat.

Two rump steaks were cooked to medium/medium-rare in about seven minutes. There was minimal mess and both the grill plate and pan cleaned extremely easily. The instructions advertise both as dishwasher safe but suggest that doing so will affect the surface finish.

To sum up, a useful and versatile addition to our kitchen and one which will see plenty of use.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was veering towards the full five stars, but that means perfection and this is ‘almost’ perfect, so four stars.

This is quite large, ideal for family use, but also great for couples as you don’t have to use the whole plate. In use this comes into its own by being controllable (heat control is brilliant and quick), versatile (cooks meat, veg, chicken, sausages etc) and it cooks cleanly. This means it cooks food without the need for oil or fat and the special Titanium Infused Non-Stick Coated Plate means excellent cooking ‘quality’ without the nasty bits.

The cleaning is simplicity itself. As the unit comes in only three parts, cleaning the cooking plate takes very little effort and time and whilst it can be cleaned in a dishwasher, we just give it a wash and dry and its ready for use again. The drip tray is just as easy to clean.

I am one of those people who likes ‘griddle lines’ as I feel the steak/gammon/chicken/sausages cooks more evenly, thus making the food more tasty. It looks good too! Also as the food does not stick to the griddle, there is so little to clean off afterwards, unlike our barbecue.

In my opinion this is a far better way to cook than using a frying pan; it tends to be far more controllable and reliable and I feel this is one of the best George Foreman grills available. One thing I have noticed and that is it seems to be smoke free when in use. Most ‘grills’ seem to produce smoke, which can be annoying to say the least, but this is smoke free – this is a major bonus and only adds to the results.

I can see this being used a lot, especially once the good weather arrives, and yet meanwhile, it fits nicely on the worktop and does a great job, especially with Gammon steaks, peppers, mushrooms and courgettes, which can all be cooked on the same grill at the same time. Magic.

The George Foreman Large Smokeless BBQ Grill is a formidable piece of cooking equipment. It comes in four parts, the plastic base section, the fat trap tray, the grill and the power source. This is a big electric grill but is has a small storage footprint.

It heats up in seconds due to the built in heating element in the grill, you are ready to go within minutes. All the fat drops through into the fat trap tray and reducing the amount smoke it could cause if the fats were to be heated up.

Temperature can be adjusted with a simple dial that is built into the electrical lead which lessens the possibility of burnt offerings.

Cleaning is amazingly straight forward. The simple fact that the electrical lead is removable and that it breaks down into its four component parts makes things much easier. The lead contains all the electrical components, the rest, the fat trap, grill and plastic base can be washed and cleaned. It is as easy to take apart and it is to put together. The non-stick surface is easy and quick to wipe down.

I have only cooked a few sausages on the grill as a trial and it worked perfectly. It’s big enough to hold a good few kebabs and will cook 6 burgers easily.

While this is an indoor grill I’d jump at the chance to get one similar for outside use.

All in all, this is a good product and an alternative to your oven grill or a frying pan, it helps reduce frying fat, catches the grease for easy disposal and while it doesn’t stop the smell of cooking there is no smoke or spitting fat going in all directions. Temperatures are easily adjusted and best of all, it’s easy to clean. What’s not to like.

Really looked forward to using this open indoor BBQ grill. I have other George Foreman grills which have always been great reliable products. Overall its a great grill to use, large grilling space, approx. 50cm x 38cm which I found very useful. Listed as ‘entertaining size, perfect for sharing’ this grill is certainly that. I cooked chicken and burgers for 6 people and found easily enough space, all the fat drains away leaving succulent meat. Alongside the meat I added cobs and half red peppers which cooked lovely with BBQ grill marks, whole mushrooms that tasted brilliant. Variable heat which I find very useful, especially when munching on just cooked burger, you can turn heat down to either keep things warm or to slowly cook more. My only niggle and its why I’ve only marked as 4 stars is its not really that ‘smokeless’, to be honest I didn’t really expect it to, smokeless yes as in theres no BBQ smoke, smokeless as in theres no smoke from the cooking meat then no. Compared to using a grill pan on a cooker I do think there’s less smoke so overall a great product for cooking BBQ indoors but perhaps keep window open. One massive plus is the plates are removeable – brilliant, I just pop them in the dishwasher. Its a large grill so struggled to find a home for it in my smallish kitchen but for me great grill, will be using it loads.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWhy wait until the sun is out for a BBQ? Now you don;’t need to this is a well made and very neat product that actually has a multitude of uses.

For those that don’t have a garden or cant deal with the smoke of a normal bbq this is great. It fits a surprising amount of food on and is plenty big enough for 4-6 people.

We used it as a centre piece on our table and our guests were able to cook their own food to their like and it was a talking point and made the cooking a sociable event.

The real triumph of this product is how easy it comes apart to be cleaned, unlike it’s outside counterpart which is a pain to clean after an event this you can just pop the trays in the dishwasher and wipe the rest, brilliant!

Easily fitted 8 homemade burgers with room to spare for us. I really like that it comes with a handy drip tray to capture all the fat and grease, I’d recommend lining this with tin foil first to make it easier to clean. Once you have finished you can fold up the foil and throw it in the bin keeping the inside of the grill nice and clean.

The slots on the hot plate are angled so all the cooking fat simply falls through to the drip tray underneath.

The grill all comes apart for easy cleaning and the hot plate is wipeable and also dishwasher safe.

It’s not completely smokeless but definitely much less from using a frying pan because all the fat falls though to the drip tray underneath so you haven’t got that burning and smoking away.

The grills Ideal for cooking steak, fish, burgers. Love that it leaves those nice grill marks on the fish and meat.

It’s quite a size, so not easily storable in a standard size kitchen. We have shelves in a kitchen cupboard under the stairs which this sits on perfectly. It’s not a grill I would use too often but definitely great for a Saturday night Cheese Burgers.

Overall, it’s a great family sized hot grill plate, easy to use and clean.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThis grill comes in parts that just pop into place – a drip pan, stand, grill and plug in heating element. This means that it can be safely washed in the sink or dishwasher minus the heating element of course. The grill heated up fairly quickly and evenly, and was big enough to easily hold 8 pork chops as shown in photo. Although we cut off most of the fat first, the chops were tender and juicy and cooked through well. Would also be great for a big breakfast (maybe do the eggs separately though!) or a mixed grill. You need a bit of room to use this – away from curtains and not directly under cupboards but once finished with it can be unplugged and stacked away until the next time it is needed. Very pleased with this.

    Good size, worked well

Golden Review Award: 78 From Our UsersAn in-depth review, SKIP through to *The Bottom Line* for my QUICK opinion.

We used this last night for our supper. Assembly is very simple. There’s only three parts, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out which part goes where.

Once your three parts are assembled (see pic: the three just sit in each other), you then plug into the mains and insert the steel prod end into the unit. Switch on at the mains and Bob’s your uncle.

Temperature is easily controlled by a single dial – even a time-deprived, absent-minded student like my loved one, could operate it. Not that all students are this way inclined, but you get the gist of the simplicity.

Once the dial has heated to your required setting and along with the very handy and super simple recipe ideas in the short, yet concise manual, you can get going with cooking up a simple, healthy meal.

The cooking itself, is not as quick as pan frying using a cast iron pan, it’s not even as quick as barbecuing.
It takes about the same amount of time as it would if you grilled it in your oven.

The absence of the upper plate from the earlier George Foreman grilling machines (which I own and still use), means that the cooking time is almost twice as long.
    There two reasons for this:
    * The heavy upper plate in that unit, weighs down the meats and pushes out the moisture, ensuring quicker cooking;
    * The dual plated and encapsulating heat that the older Foreman grilling machine offer, quicken the cooking speed as all areas get cooked at the same time.

I placed this unit directly over my hob’s grates, it sat there steadily and neatly. This won’t work for everyone. Though for me, it meant it was directly below the extractor fan. Not really needed for it though, as there was no hefty smoking. The drip tray stands true to its claim as being relatively smoke free. Even with cooking several batches last night, without cleaning the grates in-between.
As the heating elements are fused into part 3 (pic) – the cooking grate, the excess fat and marinade drips down below it and into the cool drip tray (part 2, pic).

    The Washing Up:

Both parts that come into contact with food are dishwasher safe. The remaining ‘Part 1’ in the pic is the outer bumper, …and of course the electric cable which you can wipe clean as necessary.

    **The Bottom Line:

If you’re not in a rush and want a *simple*, engaging, slower pace type meal so that you can prep salad, get some carbs going on the side and then leisure about the kitchen with a glass of something fortifying whilst you “act” like you’re barbecuing. Then this is for you.

I love it for a lazy Sunday with the kids as I can throw almost the same things i can throw on a barbecue and cook to exacting children-driven specifications. Finishing off with some “barbecued” desserts. Even in the icy grip of winter!

Even as a member of the Vine, you will notice from my past reviews, I don’t necessarily leave positive feedback for products. I really judge the item for it’s true worth.
As I, as a consumer, would also want to read good, HONEST reviews for my purchases.
There’s nothing worse than feeling disgruntled because you’ve bought something on the strength of reviews and when it arrives you realise you’ve made the wrong decision.

As such, I am happy to answer any more questions you may have before you decide on this product.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI’ve always wanted one of these grill things but have always been put off by them seeming to be so small and my husband and son like to have a lot to eat so I’d end up cooking everyone’s meal separately. This one is big. There is plenty of room for a mixed grill for all 3 of us without me having to do it separately. It stands up against a wall for storage which means it’s not going to have to be put in a cupboard where you might think you can’t be bothered to get it out, it fits nicely on the back of the cooker against the wall and will be easy enough to use on top of the rings. I’ve just tested it out on the surface and that works well too. It has a good temperature control so you’re not stuck with just on or off and it is easy to pull it to bits and put it the dishwasher for cleaning. My main oven broke about a year ago and I really need a programmable timer so that I can put a chicken in the oven in the morning before I go to work and come home to find it perfectly cooked but apparently that’s too much to ask for in this day and age when it wasn’t before :-O, so I am not going to replace my cooker as I don’t see the point in spending loads of money on something that isn’t exactly what I want, so this type of small appliance is perfect for me as I still want to cook from scratch everyday but need to be able to do that without a proper cooker. This will make a tasty and healthy mixed grill and even toast. Love it.

This is an electric, indoor grill from the familiar George Foreman range. Assembly is quite straightforward – although it took me a few attempts to realise that I had to sit the main tray in the base before inserting the temperature control. Once set up, it is very simple to use and it only takes a couple of minutes to be hot enough to use. There is a little smoke and grease that is produced if you’re cooking very oily foods, like bacon, but this isn’t so bad as compared with my oven’s grill. To use that would normally need me to turn on my extractor fan. Cleaning is also pretty simple to do, with the unit popping apart and going in the dishwasher. Whilst it can be stored on its side, I have found this to be a little awkward – so I store it on a shelf laying flat.
