GK61 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard – 61 Keys Multi Color RGB Illuminated LED Backlit Wired Programmable for PC/Mac Gamer (Gateron Optical Red, Black)
GK61 is a standard-sized 60% keyboard featuring RGB backlighting, USB-C wired connection, and optical switches . The USB-C cable is detachable for convenience of portability.
Optical switches are much more durable than conventional mechanical keyboard switches and are rated for 100 million keystrokes.
They have a high actuation point of 1.5mm for fast response. Light Strike optical switches utilize a horizontal infrared beam which is transmitted across the width of the inner keyswitch.
The infrared beam is normally blocked from reaching a sensor across from it by the stem. Once a switch is pressed, the switch stem no longer blocks the infrared beam and the beam is detected by the sensor, which activates the switch.
Due to the optical mechanism, an optical switch has an extremely fast response time of 0.2ms, which means faster reactions in those times where timing is critical, such as when gaming.

This is my first keyboard to FULLY mod and I have to say.. I’m quite impressed with the switches but the stabs are atrocious… So I had to order some extra but that’s what I was going to do anyway … Over all solid 8 out of 10
i use this keyboard for regular gaming – you can tell it feels like a budget board but for general gaming and not a high budget would deffinetly reccomend.
Really good quality keyboard. Only flaw is the power cord is made of cheap material so be careful when moving it or unplugging it.

Nous tions la recherche d’un clavier pour que mon garon puisse jouer en ligne. N’tant pas un joueur professionnel ou mettant plusieurs heures par jour, nous voulions un clavier ayant un rapport qualit-caractristiques/prix intressant.
Mon garon adore le clavier, il apprcie le fait de pouvoir illuminer de faon indpendante les touches et il pourra remplacer le mcanisme des touches pour les adapter ses prfrences plus tard.

Hot-swappable switches gives you a the chance to upgrade. the typing experience which is smooth and satisfying, the sound of the keys are a little clicky and thoccy ( Gateron mechanical yellows), the color of the keyboard is very accurate to the listing image’s and the rgb is very vibrant and has a lot of customizability with the app.
Overall the GK61 is worth the 69.99 price tag due to the pleasing experience I’ve had so far with typing and performance in long gaming sessions.

he keyboard is great for its budget, but there’s just tiny things about it that just make it pretty bad. This is a keyboard that you mod and don’t really use it stock, like the key caps are noticeably wobbly when you really focus on it and the rgb isn’t the brightest so overall i give this keyboard a 6.5/10
look at the function keys. theyre out of order. there not the best keycaps tbh
This is a great product but the led lights on the keyboard don’t work for me and I’m trying to reach out to the people of the keyboard if any body could help!

I bought this for my son and he uses it for gaming. He absolutely LOVES it! He loves the loud clicking sound of the keys. It’s something that I don’t understand but one thing for sure, he’s a happy kid. The keyboard is smaller than regular keyboards due to no number keypad. So for gaming, it’s perfect. Looks great too.
Really great 60% keyboard for gaming. Im really harsh on this kb while gaming but it still works great. Been using for over a year&ahalf now. Really sensitive to press, optical yellows . Could be a downside for typing but you’ll get used to it after a while.
Downsides-
1) No toggling option for arrowkeys. Have to hold FN key to use arrowkeys. Would be great if there was an option to toggle on/off arrow keys.
2) After more than a year and a half’s use it has gotten a bit louder and clunky. The space bar is way louder than before.
El teclado muy bueno, teclas de calidad, swiches buenow, rgb muy potente, lo unico que le veo de “malo”, sera que el cavle es un poco rigido, pero tampoco afecta en nada su funcionamiento l, 10/10, muy recomendable
I am really into gaming and this was an amazing add to my setup!!!! There is nothing to worry about this keyboard, anyone can use it.
This keyboard comes with all you need keyboard, cord, and keycap puller. I bought their keycaps going for the cotton candy feel. The keyboard compared to another brands like Matrix Keyboards to very similar. But great keyboard just make sure to have a good connection and don’t use scissors next to it be careful when cutting the cord it is not as durable as a racer huntsman cord is.
One thing I don’t like bout the keyboard is how some of the sounds echos through and you can hear some hard key presses which I do a lot but that’s just me being picky. The optical red switches are still very fast but I made a small buyers mistake and didn’t buy the yellow switches but I can add them later on. This is definitely a great budget option for when you don’t have a $100+ to spend on a Apex TKL or a Razer Huntsman Mini. I already see myself getting faster gameplay after only a month in.

I own 5 of these keyboards number 6 on the way now, and I have to say, this keyboard is an amazing budget friendly keyboard and great if you want to start out with keyboard modding, it’s hot swappable so no pesky soldering and its compact, what more could you want?
Swapped this out for my Ducky one2 never touched my ducky since, shipped quicker than expected, the only flaw I see is the stabs are loose out of the box but there plate mounted and switches are hotswapable so bandaid mod was an easy fix can’t wait to lube the stabs and the op yellows

The overall quality is very good, the key caps are solid and feel good, the RGB is amazing, and the overall shape of the keyboard is my favorite.
But after pressing all the keys I found that the spacebar sounded very off (sound in video). The other keys were great but the spacebar sound hollow/airy. Not much I can do about that, it is the largest key on the keyboard so it’s understandable but I believe getting new keycaps will fix it so I am going to try that.
Other than that it is a great, solid keyboard that I am definitely going to keep!
