Overall I’m very happy with this tablet. Even ignoring the price, it’s solid and feels smooth and natural to use. It comes with the ink well, which the last Veikk tablet I got didn’t, so it’s good to see that improvement. At an even lower price, too.

The VK640 also comes with an adaptor so you can plug it into your phone or a tablet (such as an iPad or Android tablet). That excited me more than it probably should have, but it was fun.

The design is simplified from the A15, the last Veikk I owned. It’s sleeker and more minimalist. I think this works in its favour, though I miss the red, textured accent.

Of course the functionality of the VK640 is fantastic, as ever.

Again, given everything listed above, one of the most impressive aspects of this tablet is the price. Veikk consistently make clean, well made, attractive tablets for a fraction of the price I’d expect.

This is not a budget tablet, it’s a great tablet at a low price.

I finally got it to work. It doesn’t come with instructions. Google came up empty. And installing their driver from their website is not enough. It’s not plug and play.
After installing their driver from their website go to costumer service and click live chat. The bot will give you a YouTube tutorial link. After following all instructions I finally got it to work on the MacBook. Pressure sensitivity works as well now.

    Set up was hard

My old graphic tablet started giving issues thus I ordered this one. It is great drawing tablet. Drawing area is big and really useful to draw more content on same page. I personally liked Battery free pen feature alot as earlier I had to charge pen battery. Drawing pad is fully responsive and it seems like good quality product. Will also recommend it to others.

I’m in love with this drawing tablet, in the past I’d only used my sisters and it was quite small and you had to push very firmly down to get any effects. This drawing tablet however is a really good size, the pen is my favorite feature as it works very effectively, and I can press very lightly, and it shows up on my screen. The drawing tablet has worked very well with MediBangPaintPro programs. The setup and installation were very easy and I think any age could get their head around using this piece of beauty. I think this is a really reasonably priced drawing tablet that any beginner looking to get into editing will love!

This graphic drawing tablet is so easy to use and setting it up was no hassle though im not good with electronics. Im a beginner with digital art and this tablet was perfect as the accuracy is great and the pen is pressure sensitive, allowing for greater ease in writing and drawing – acting as a real life pen! Overall, i would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an easy to use drawing tablet.

Disclaimer: I’m not a professional/semi professional illustrator, my opinions are based on an pure amateur’s point.

Size: not too big, in a size of normal mouse mat.
    Weight: light enough.

When connected to a phone, no drivers are needed, just launch any drawing/sketching app and start creative

One thing it lacks is it cannot connect to iPad. Whilst you can still connect to any computers however lack the ability to utilize iPad is a pity.

Just need to go to the website to download the drive, then connect the pad to the laptop, simple.

Great size and easy to use although I had a few small problems with the pressure sensitivity but other than that it is a nice and simple tablet that is good for beginners or professionals, For me at least it’s a little expensive and I’m sure you can get cheaper tablets that are just as good but still I am happy. I would recommend it.

When it arrived the first thing to notice is the quality of the packaging. Well made, strong and feels very premium with lots of it being recyclable. In the box you get a lot more that you do with any competitor drawing tablets, for example two pens with spare nibs which is incredibly useful. Setting up on a Mac is quite straightforward too, just two cables to plug in and a driver to download – and within minutes you’re ready to go.

The first thing I noticed is the quality of the screen surface itself. The pens glides across effortlessly without running away with you. Very easy to control. The screen resolution and colour vibrancy are very high quality at this price point. Very sharp and colour accurate when compared to the main monitor.

In use I used it with Photoshop and Sketch and found it performs equally well in both. The pen sensitivity and pressure velocity work really well allowing for a very natural feel of stroke. It performs well when used making fast strokes across the surface. The configurable buttons down the side also add ease to your work flow.
If you’re looking to make the jump or experiment with digital art, this tablet is the perfect starting point.

The veikk vk640 is a pretty good, lightweight, easy to use graphics tablet. It’s responsive and clean and great value for the price. I am also a student, and this tablet is very compact (about the size of an A4 sheet folded in half) and easy to transport to classes!

I’d recommend grabbing this if you get the chance as it is more than capable of handling most art tasks! The sensitivity and pressure detection from the pen works well!

It is wired so does not need a battery or anything, the pen comes with many fresh nibs, and it also has a USB adapter that allows it to fit in my USB3 ports, which is handy as my other USB ports are already full! Super convenient!

Installing the drivers is a simple “plug in and play” affair on Windows 10, and using this with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop I had 0 issues at all.

Convenient, Good Value for money, Portable, Small

When I received this tablet everything was in great condition, and very nicely packaged. The tablet also took less than five minutes to setup shortcut keys, customise pen pressure and install the driver. And as an entry level tablet user I think that it is a perfect pen tablet as there are lot of pressure levels, and the keys are very useful when making digital art or editing photos.
I would totally recommend it to somebody looking for a good quality graphics tablet for an affordable price.

Great little tablet. It’s such a great price too, so it’s perfect for beginner artists. I’ve been drawing for years now and I was happy with the reponsiveness of the tablet and I really enjoy the smaller size too as it can be put away easily. I’d recommend this if you’re just starting to draw digitally and would like something cheap but good quality to start out with!

I really wanted a tablet monitor that was easy and portable. I wanted something I could carry around with my laptop that was easy to set-up and one that I could use with the various industry standard pieces of software I use daily. The Veikk VK1200 has given my all that in a neat compact package. The 1920 x 1080 IPS screen is great quality and boasts a laminated display with little parallax (the gap between that glass and actual screen). It has an nice protective screen cover that has some resistance and feels like drawing on paper. It’s a 11.6″ screen, so nice and compact and fits nicely into my laptop case. Down one edge you have six function keys that can be assigned in the driver to different functions such as Brush Size, Zoom, Erase etc. You can also flip the tablet over to have these buttons on the left or right and choose this orientation in the driver settings too. This tablet uses just two cables for connection to a PC or Laptop. You have a HDMI lead and a USB lead. One of the great things about this tablet is that you don’t need a separate power block. All power is taken from the attached computers power, making it even more portable. The pen stylus is battery free, so no charging required and offers tilt technology which is great for a tablet at this price point. Add to that 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity and 5080 LPI it really does make this a very good spec tablet monitor. The other benefits that make this really shine and show that Veikk really think about their product and end user is the addition of an extra pen. This means you can keep one at home for connection to your desktop and also keep one in a laptop bag for out and about sketching. You also get lots of spare nibs and an artist glove to help your hand glide easily over the screen. Because it only responds to the stylus you don’t have to worry about palm recognition. It also feels very well built and sturdy with its full metal body and nicely weighted stylus. The anti-slip pads on the reverse keep it firmly flat on the desk and you can get an optional stand if required. I’ve tried this tablet using many of the industry standard pieces of software and it performed well in all aspects. The ruler test produced lovely straight lines with no jitter. Pressure sensitivity was just as good as similar tablets costing hundreds more. Set up fast and the drivers are clear and simply laid out. In conclusion this is a highly recommended tablet monitor for those looking for extreme portability and top end features. Again Veikk have produced a great value, well-built product and offer great tech support.

My favorite Veikk tablet so far.
This is my newest Veikk tablet and it’s by far the best made tablet that I worked with, made by this company.

The packaging is improved comparing to the earlier Veikk’s products and it looks much better! Everything has its own place and every single thing is well protected, which is standard for this company.
There is many things inside the box. Much more than needed to be honest:). You can find here a thank you card, instructions/warranty, artist glove, adapters (for mobile devices), loads of spare nibs (a lot of them. Honestly…) with a tool for replacing them, a stand for the pen and nibs, a pen with protective pocket and a tablet itself (it has 6 buttons that are fully customizable and it looks solid).

Veikk did a really good job with the design of this tablet. Everything seems to be improved over the older models. Tablet looks good, the stand for the pen is very nice addition and my favorite improvement- the look and build of the pen! It looks way better than the old ones. It’s covered with soft coating, witch is nice in touch and prevent slippery. The drawing experience is on the highest level. It’s one of my favorite pens.

I’m working on 3D modeling lately and this tablet is perfect for this kind of job. The pen is not coming in the way with gizmos or menus in 3d apps (as in pen display). Small size is perfect because modeling doesn’t require large gestures and I have extra space on my desk.

The only thing I don’t like is the cable which is not detachable, but it’s only my opinion.

So I was sent one of these to review, and whilst it functions well – it still has a few bugs for those that have a more complicated setup.

Firstly. Package was beautiful and really made you feel like you’ve bought a quality product. The tablet is decent size (around A5 size) and came with a ton of nice accessories. The pen was a nice weight and the grip on it felt very comfortable. The stand for it is nicely designed to not only hold the pen, but to also contain a few spare nibs (which a ton extra were provided) and also act like a nib remover tool too. Other extras included were alternative adapters for android phone connection, and a nicely branded drawing glove (As well as more nibs).

Once setup properly, the pen works well, and whilst it had some teething issues – I could use it almost as well as I used my usual setup. Results were sharp and worked on every program I tested it on, mostly GIMP as it’s the program I’m most familiar with. Sensitivity worked well, and as said before, the pen feels nice in the hand.

The only downside is… this has a lot of problems with my usual setup. In order to really give this a fair trail, I had to run this on my spare laptop, and this will be what I will mostly be using it on now. However, I stream my work, and as such – I have a double screen setup, one vertical monitor, one horizontal… and this is where a few “minor” problems occured. Trying to set the tablet program up caused a few confusing errors, sometimes it would be offset, sometimes it would think each screen was the wrong rotation. I tried numerous things to correct it, it just wouldn’t work until I unplugged the second monitor – which is no good to me. Hence why I tested it on my laptop instead. As said, it works fine on a single screen setup, but with my current professional setup – I can’t use it for that.

Another issue that took a bit of adjustment was the sensitivity. Hovering your pen above the tablet would usually make the cursor appear, but not activate anything… sometimes it activated things – either dragging things which I didn’t want dragging, selecting things I didn’t want to select, etc. Simply fiddling between the program and the tablet settings eventually got a result I could deal with.

Overall, this has taught me, that whilst the product can’t be used for what I need it for, it’s ideal for a cheaper tablet on a single screen setup, and the quality of the physical items are top notch. I have faith that a future update to the software is more than likely able to fix any of the problems I’ve encountered, and that Veikk’s products are a decent alternative to more expensive models… If you have a single screen setup, give em a try. 🙂

I do freelance digital art and always wanted a screen based tablet. The Wacom ones were just too expensive for me and had issues with repairs. I currently use an iPad Pro but missed all the settings art programmes had on an actual computer.
This Veikk tablet seemed well priced so gave it a go. It acts like a 2nd monitor so its not stand alone but that’s fine!
The instructions were very simple and drivers easy to install. The box comes with loads of great stuff including lots of spare nibs, glove and even 2 pens in lovely cases. The pens don’t need batteries which is a huge plus for me.

Im using it with an old 2012 MacBook Air so not the best computer but it works absolutely fine. Just bear in mind, you may need an adaptor if you’re on a Mac (I needed an HDMI to Thunderbolt).

The pressure sensitivity is fantastic and because the screen is laminated, it feels similar to drawing on an iPad. (Which is a huge plus in my opinion). The drawing feels fluid and nice. Im used to a smaller screen size so this doesn’t bother me. It makes it very portable as it’ll fit in a regular laptop case. It does sometimes lag when you draw fast but that’s more my 8 year old laptop I think.

If you are interested in digital art and a regular tablet is not for you, I’d recommend this product. Its a lot cheaper than an iPad and the any other screen based tablets I’ve come across.

Ill update as I use it.

    fantastic, finally an affordable optio

My only prior experience with drawing tablets before now was a secondhand Wacom Intuos CTL-490 2015, and they both seem to compare really well in terms of responsiveness, weight, and size. The VK640 comes with a lot more items in the box, including a great number of spare nibs, and the USB to micro USB and USB-C adaptors seem like a great option for people that want to use the tablets for their phones. The drivers were really easy to install (and you do not have to uninstall any other tablet drivers on your PC), however the customisable keys are… Well, not customisable. Despite changing the options in the app, what the buttons were bound to didn’t change, which was a bit frustrating considering some of the default shortcuts had no use in the drawing software I use. However, this is my first day of owning this tablet, so there may well be a workaround I haven’t come across yet.

I brought this tablet to replace my old tablet which sadly had died and wanted to try something new, so I decided to go with this tablet. Can I just say this tablet it worth every penny and took minutes to set up. All you have to do is follow the instructions which come in the box and your done.

In the box it comes with a very cool pen stand, that is also used to hold extra nibs. A drawing glove which is very stretchy and will fit most hands, a nice fabric sleeve to put your pen inside. Two adapters which you plug your USB into for your phone (Note there is no iPhone adapter) so you can do artwork on the go and a device to remove the pen nibs. All this comes free with the tablet. All this included for under 50!

The Tablet has 6 Macro keys which is an added bonus as I can set them to anything I want. The pen also has a button which can be used as an eraser and another button which can be used to select things. All these extra functions will help make things easier when it comes to making art.

I use Paint tool Sai to create artwork and this works great, it is very reactive and smooth. I have also used in Photoshop and again this works great. However I have not used any other programs apart from these two. I cannot wait to use this fully and create artwork.

Again I would like to say that I fully recommend this product for all range of artists who are looking for a reliable tablet and at a good price.

Great tablet for an even better price!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI brought this product with the intent to replace my old tablet for PC and I’m so glad I did. My old Wacom Intus Pen & Touch Small (2013) was old and worn, time for a change! I hadn’t heard of this brand before so was hesitant at first since there are no other UK reviews.

It arrived the next day (delivered to a UK address) and the drivers were easy to install/set up with my PC with its own interface similar to the older Wacom settings I used before. The pen feels soft to draw with and much better than my rigid old pen and feels like using a paintbrush and It was easy to adapt to from my old tablet and produces high-quality output. It works well with Clip Studio Paint and Adobe Suite.

I was surprised at the number of accessories the product came with. A glove, USB to USB-C adaptor, pen stand and sheath, multiple pen nibs and a remover, super handy!

It’s the perfect size for me, and even has a left-handed setting (as seen in the picture) that allowed me to set the hotkeys and draw without pressing any keys.

My only negative comment on this tablet is that the USB connecter attached to the tablet is not removable and I feel this may lead to wear and tear in the future – as with any long term cable usage considering it is portable. I would highly recommend buying a cable manager/carry case if you intend to use it on the go a lot to help protect it.

Overall, it’s of great quality for value and would suit entry-level and beginners as well as more experienced digital drawing artists. Happy with my purchase.

Great Value and Quality Product - Pleasantly Surprised

I was always interested in digital art, and this tablet made it a reality! Straight out of the box, this was super easy to set up. You are given a HDMI and USB cable which need to be connected to a computer/laptop, a quick driver installation from their website and you are good to go! The tablet itself is sizeable enough for you to go into great detail, whilst also being compact enough for portability. The screen is sharp and has a good colour balance, it also has a smooth “paper-like” finish, giving you complete control of your sketching (no slippery screens here!). There are also several buttons alongside the screen which can be allocated a function, all which can be done via the VEIKK Pen Tablet app. The battery free pens are also very comfortable to use, didn’t really have a problem with these and they also come with two buttons which you can also allocate functions to. They’re also generous with what’s included in the box, you have two pens each with there own cases, dozens of spare nibs and a screen wipe (plus other useful bits and pieces!). I’m so glad with the results, and it’s an absolute joy to use and sketch with! If you’re looking for a tablet which is worth the asking price then this is it. Highly recommend to anyone with an interest in Digital Art.

Bring your Digital Art dreams to life!

I may not be the ideal person for this tablet; I use Linux primarily, which this isn’t compatible with (by default!). There are drivers for it on GitHub, but I haven’t tried those yet. I will update this review if/when I do.

In the meantime, I gave it to my partner to try. She says she likes how it feels, and how well it works on Android. I tried it briefly on my phone, and didn’t expect pen tilt to work, but I was pleasantly surprised!

If you’re looking for a small, cheap, graphics tablet… this could be for you!

The Veikk VK640 starts out great, straight out of the box! Included with the 6 x 4 inch tablet (which is honestly a great size for beginners) is an instruction manual to get you started, the great battery free pen (no charging! Ever!), a bunch of spare pen nibs for when yours eventually get worn down, a tool to help you replace those nibs, a USB to Type C connector for your phone, a usb to Micro USB connector for the older models, a fancy looking pen holder that also houses several spare nibs, and they even throw in an Artist’s Glove!

No previous tablet that I’ve bought has ever come with so much useful stuff, so we’re off to an amazing start!

Plugging this into my phone was easy, just plugged the cable into the USB to Type C adapter, and then into the phone and it was usable instantly! I downloaded Clip Studio Paint on my phone and I was ready to go.

The surface of the tablet is scratchy, but in that good way that feels like you’re drawing on paper! I was able to sketch smoothly, and the pressure sensitivity worked perfectly, even on my phone! The size of the tablet is honestly just right for doodling on the go and at your desk!

Overall, this is a great beginners tablet, a great tablet for people on the go, and even a great desk tablet for a real good price!

Haven’t come across this brand before, so wasn’t quite sure what to expect.
Right out of the box, I was quite positively surprised. Everything was packed very neatly and there are few extra Items I wasn’t expecting. Like thick felt pen case and a smudge guard glove. All the items felt very robust and better quality then I have expected.
Pen has good shape, quite similar to wacom products. It is well balanced and it’s grip texture feels good and secure. Pressure dip is consistent and natural.
Tablet itself feels very good too. Surface has nice friction, although it is a real fingerprint magnet and drawing feels quite natural. Buttons are firm and responsive. They also have ridges, so it is quite easy to determine them without looking.
Tablet feels very comfortable, draws smooth and straight lines. Despite the size, it never felt to small to use with 27″ 1440 screen.
Product does have some downsides however. Ruler test that had quite the spread, that seamed to be affected by the tilt. However haven’t feel it at all while drawing. This I hope can be fixed in new updates.
In overall I am very happy with the tablet, super useful and portable on the road.

Perfect travel/entry graphic Tablet. Great Quality to Price Ratio.

This tablet is a good little tablet, perfect for beginners or if you’re looking for something portable.

It feels pretty sturdy and the pen has a smooth feeling to it. It was very easy to set up as I just had to download a driver and restart the computer and it was ready to go.

It came with a nice artists glove, an ink pot style holder with spare nibs inside, along with a bag of extra spare nibs and an adapter for the wire so you can plug into a tablet or phone, which I think is really cool.

It has good pen pressure and is very responsive, along with 6 buttons that you can customise to any shortcut or feature you’d like. The driver for doing this is also very simple and easy to use. The surface of the tablet, has a very slight texture to it so it’s not perfectly smooth and feels a bit more like paper, but doesn’t wear the nib down a lot either so I think it works well.

If you have limited space or are looking for something portable, this is a good tablet to choose, especially for the price.

A good small tablet if you're looking for something to begin with or something portable.

I bought this after using the Veikk A15 for a while and wanted to make a step up to the next level.

On receiving the item it looked very nice & professional in its white box – very apple-esque.

The box contains everything you need and is well packed. you get:

    Quick Start Guide
    Artist Glove
    Cleaning Cloth
    2 x pen + case
    Pen stand
    2 bags of replacement nibs
    USB data cable
    Micro HDMI to HDMI cabele

The USB cable is a 2:1 cable with 2 type-A ports that plug into your computer, the other end is a USB-C that goes into the pen display. The type-c sheath is designed specifically for this tablet, so if you get a faulty cable you will need to get one from Veikk.

You get 2 (yes 2) pen stylus and these are of good build quiclity with a decent weight in the hand. It is not an ‘active’ stylus, so doesnt have a battery/require charging.

The artist glove is a nice addition as it will help your hand move around the tablet surface better, but I found that I didn’t need it.

The build quality of the VK1200 display is really nice. The heavier weight gives it a premium feel and the unit feels solid. The corners are rounded off nicely and the display has a matte screen protector factory applied.

There are 6 physical shortcut keys on the left side of the tablet which are customisable. The buttons are firm and give good feedback when pressed.

The back of the tablet has four rubber feet to prevent the display from sliding around if you put in on a table and the back material seems to be some kind of metal. Finish is smooth and nice to the touch.

The screen has great colour and contrast straight out of the box, but you can customise these via the Veikk Tablet driver if you need to.

In use the viewing angles on the panel are good and the colours didnt shift much when you viewed the dsiplay from the side.

I found the tablet relatively easy to set up and pressure sensitivities worked fine in Photoshop and Clip Studio once I’d figured out which tablet settings were the correct ones to use (I had to use WinTablet).

All in all I found this a great introduction to artistic Pen Displays and right now I don’t think you can find much else on the market for the same price/quality.

A good next step up from an A15

I found Vk640 to be a great drawing tablet for its price with little key features like having buttons on the side, making it easier to have a better workflow with my art. It comes packed with everything you need to get going: Pen, stand, glove, and extra nibs. The easy plug and play is a nice feature, allowing me instant access to my work either on PC or on my phone; which was great to do some last-minute touch-ups before I sent work off. I definitely would recommend this to anyone like myself, who sometimes needs to do art on the go or as a gift for beginners.

I’ve been a life-long Wacom user, but unfortunately Wacom would no longer provide a replacement cable for my expensive Cintiq, so I got this as a cheap replacement, and to my surprise, it’s just as good as anything I’ve ever had from Wacom.

The only reason Wacom has been able to charge the prices it has, is because there hasn’t been a lot of competition, but now I’m guessing their patents have finally expired, and it’s resulted in this amazing tablet.

The pen glides smoothly, especially with the glove provided. Took less than a minute to set up, I didn’t even have problems with photoshop brush sensitivity.

8192 levels of sensitivity, means changing brush size is silky smooth, it feels like I’m connected to the brush inside my drawing tablet, like a good tool should, like it’s an extension of my bod.

Absolutely recommend this, it’s amazing value.

This is so versatile with the extra connectors is can be used on a laptop, kindle or an Android. Despite the tablet being much smaller than the other Veikk tablets it works just as well when writing and the pen writes much neater than the pens I’ve had for previous tablets.
It’s easy to install and use. My young son and daughter have been using it to complete their home learning in class dojo.
    Would highly recommend

    Extremely versatile

I can honestly say the vk640 is an amazing tablet to have! It’s travel size so you can take it out and about with you, it’s very responsive to movements and it’s not difficult to set up! It is certainly one of my favourite tablets to use, I would definitely recommend this to artists who work on laptops or android phones. I also love how the pen feels it’s a comfortable shape and doesn’t feel clunky in my hands

    Perfect travel size !!

The VK1200 is an 11.6-inch pen display tablet, with an IPS panel sporting a 1920 x 1080 resolution. It’s not 4K, but it’s very crisp, and on a display of this size, it looks fantastic.

The VK1200 comes with a wealth of included goodies:

    VK1200 Pen Display
    *Quick start guide
    *Artist glove
    *Cleaning cloth
    *2x pen and case
    *Pen stand
    *Replacement nibs
    *USB C to A power/data cable
    *Micro HDMI to HDMI cable

That’s a very generous amount of extras in the box, although it’s worth noting both the USB C and Micro HDMI cables are proprietary, so any issues means you’ll need to purchase new ones – no using one from the drawer of random cables you all have.

The proprietary cables are a double edge sword, on one hand, it’s increasingly annoying when companies do this, as it forces your hand on what cables you can purchase either as spares or replacements. But then, as is the case with the VK1200, the proprietary cables allow a much firmer connection because they go further into the port – this, in theory, could mean they last longer, and you should have no issues with loose connections – no problems as of now, but longevity remains to be seen.

The VK1200 comes with two pens, both identical, but they are very comfortable to hold. The pens supports tilt sensitivity and up to 8192 levels of pressure, and they are both battery free. The grip and texture on the pens are comfortable, and towards the bottom (when holding the pen) there are two customisable buttons.

The 11.6-inch screen, whilst not the biggest, is a joy to work on, and the six customisable hotkeys are excellent, and for Photoshop, most of the keys I would have set up are already there (zoom in/out, pen size, pan) so it was as simple as plugging in and starting work.

The pen responds and works well, and there’s no ‘squeaks’ as there is when working on a tablet like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, and the pen far exceeds what Samsung are currently offering.
The trade off for this, is portability. The VK1200 and all other pen displays of it’s kind, require a PC/Laptop, or Mac/Macbook to work – they wont function without one, whereas something like the Galaxy Tab or iPad Pro series can be used anywhere.

I personally feel there is plenty of room for both – VK1200 for office and more professional use, portable tablets for when out and about – content on the move.

There’s also the fact the VK1200 has the benefit of being as good as the computer it’s connected to. I use a PC with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X and RTX 2070 Super with 32GB of RAM, so the VK1200 has a great deal of power to run sophisticated programs – full editing suites, and even AAA games if you wanted to use it as a secondary/third monitor.

I absolutely love the VK1200, my only criticism being the 11.6-inch screen being a tad small compared to bigger display tablets, such as Veikk’s own beautiful VK2200, a 21.5-inch pen display tablet, but the VK1200 certainly holds it’s own. The VK1200 is a brilliant piece of kit, and if you’re looking for a pen display, or looking to upgrade to something more sleek, the VK1200 is absolutely worth the jump.

    A joy to use!!

The Veikk VK1200 is my first drawing pad marked at a reasonable price point, i thought it was affordable especially given the features for an entry level tablet. As a complete novice and not very tech savvy i found it easy to set up and use.
The pad comes with a glove, cleaning cloth, 2 pens in felt slips , pen stand with handy nib remover at the back and storer , a generous 30 spare nibs and usb data cable and micro-HDMI cable.
The pad comes with clear easy to follow set up instructions , very basic and straight forward. Initially after connecting my laptop to the tablet via the HDMI and usb cables i was having a little trouble turning the device on as it was displaying “no signal” followed by “low power” then switching itself off but was easily resolved by the Veikk customer service who are on hand 24/7 and found them to be prompt with response and advising .
Beyond the driver there isn’t a drawing programme included so i used Gimp programme to work on . On first impressions I was impressed with the build quality of the tablet, it has a robust feel to it and looks premium with solid metal matte finished cased back with grip pads. It’s a good sized 11.6″ screen with a matte finish screen which i was happy about since it saves me from applying an anti-glare protection film since working in natural lighting.
The pen can be easily calibrated through the downloaded driver along with other useful adjustments to usage i.e. customising shortcut key preferences. I found the pen sensitivity to work fine , the pressure responds well with no delays or lags and the surface of the tablet is smooth to draw on and comfortable to work with. A plus point is i had no issues with the tablet heating up even after long periods which I was expecting. All in all, a brilliant drawing tablet 10/10

Brilliant quality pen display tablet! The perfect drawing experience

    NOTES:
I was testing this tablet on windows 10 using clip studio paint, so I don’t know how it interacts with other operating systems or software. I also can’t speak to long-term durability as I was only testing this tablet short-term (on and off for a few weeks). I can’t really speak to how it holds up in comparison to other budget brands specifically, since I don’t have much experience with brands outside of Wacom! please keep these things in mind.

    PROS:
    – it didn’t get warm for me at all while using it, I used it for several hours at a time and never noticed any prominent heat when touching it.

    – parallax is slightly noticeable if you look for it, but it’s pretty standard for display tablets to have at least a little bit of this. it’s unnoticeable when used at a normal viewing angle so it shouldn’t impact your workflow at all.

    – the pen on this model is a lot nicer than their previous pen models, it feels better to hold and generally just looks nicer aesthetically. it’s also a battery-free pen, so no need to charge it. it comes with 2 pens included in the package which is a really nice bonus! it allows you a safety net if you ever lose or break your first pen.

    – the tablet is left hand friendly! there’s an option in the driver settings to change the tablet’s rotation so that you can flip the tablet around and use it with the shortcut buttons on the other instead, which allows lefties to use this tablet with all the express keys still accessible to them.

    – the express keys are nice, the buttons don’t require too much pressure to activate and have a good tactile feel to them when pressed. 6 keys is also a pretty decent number that should allow you to map most of your important shortcuts. their mapping is able to be customised to whatever shortcuts you’d like, but of course that’s standard for shortcut keys on tablets.

    – it’s pretty sheer, the screen isn’t reflective so the display stays readable even in brighter rooms. it starts to get a little bit of a white glare over it when it’s under intense light, but normally people aren’t working under super intensely lit conditions so I don’t think this would impact anyone.

    – it comes with a matte screen protector already pre-applied which is really handy. the protector does lower the display quality a tiny bit as it makes the display a little fuzzier, but it’s hardly noticeable unless you’re looking for it (and in my opinion is worth it for the nicer drawing feel). the screen protector is removable if you’d rather work without it, but most people prefer them as they provide a more paper-like texture to draw on, so the tablet coming pre-applied with one saves you from having to manually apply one.

    – it doesn’t require a power outlet to use, which increases its portability quite a bit. all you need is an HDMI port and 1-2 USB ports on your computer (it can work with just the black USB if your computer can provide enough power with that alone, but if not then the secondary red USB can be plugged in too). please note: if you’re a mac user you’re likely going to need to buy an HDMI adapter (if you don’t already own one) since apple computers typically don’t have HDMI ports on them. the tablet doesn’t come with an adapter for this.

    CONS:
    – the pen doesn’t have an eraser on the end of it, so if you’re coming from Wacom products that usually do have an eraser then you might miss that feature. it has 2 fully customisable buttons on it so you can easily map one of them to switch to the eraser which makes up for it, but personally I enjoy pens having an eraser tip so this is just a nitpicky preference for me.

    – it doesn’t come with a stand included, so you would have to buy one separately if you don’t already have one unless you decide to use it flat on your table/desk (but I wouldn’t recommend that; using a tablet flat on a table isn’t very ergonomic and can cause wrist + posture issues over time).

    – getting the drivers to work was more fiddly than I would’ve liked. they’re very straightforward to initially install and they worked adequately once I fixed the detection issue, but I ended up having to do quite a bit of troubleshooting before the driver would recognise the tablet (which is important because you can’t change any driver settings if the driver doesn’t detect the tablet). if you’re not particularly tech-savvy you might get frustrated troubleshooting tech problems like these, but it should also be noted that this isn’t a problem specific to VEIKK; if you google any tablet brand you’ll always find some people having an issue setting any of them up. it’s often a problem with your operating system/files or sometimes faulty cables, so you should keep in mind that this can happen with any tablet.

    – the tablet does have tilt support, but the tracking for it falls short; the calibration doesn’t really account for the pen tilting. when you tilt your pen at an angle that’s different than the angle you calibrated it with, the cursor becomes notably offset. if you don’t use tilt in your work this doesn’t matter, but if tilt is a staple of your process then this would be a drawback for you.

    – the active area is exceptionally small for a display tablet (11.6″). it has the measurements described on the listing so you know what you’re getting in theory I suppose, but in reality the size borders on being a little too small in my opinion. your drawing software’s interface is going to eat up some of your screen space, so your actual canvas ends up being even smaller than the already quite small active area is. if you’re fine with adapting to the small space to save money, need a smaller tablet due to lack of real-life space, or just want to go smaller for the added portability then this doesn’t really matter—it’s certainly still usable at this size. it’s a similar size to the iPad Pro, so if you can comfortably work on that then you would be fine with this. I just find it a tad too small for me personally.

    FINAL THOUGHTS:
ultimately, most of my cons for this tablet were driver related. I don’t really have any complaints about the hardware because the quality of the build looks and feels fairly nice, it doesn’t feel cheap to hold or use at all. I don’t want to dock the rating too much just for a few software hiccups because it’s still functional despite them, and VEIKK may streamline some of the tech issues I ran into at some point anyway since drivers can easily be updated.

overall it isn’t a bad budget tablet for people who can’t afford more expensive/larger tablets (or if you just want a smaller one). I encourage everyone to do their own research as well however and pick a product that fits your needs the best.

If you are looking for a fordable pen screen this is a good options. The build have good quality and the size it’s enough portable.

The tablet it’s a bit think compare with some of the competition but it’s a more affordable option.

The pen works fine, drivers respond good, as a 3D artist I don’t need a lot of precision so some bumpiness it’s tolerated.
Definitely a good choice if you would like to have a affordable pen screen.

Delivery was speedy and the setup was quick! Easy to find the driver online to install first and then follow the instructions. This only took a few minutes! Once it was set up I was ready to start creating! The pen feels natural in the hand and has a small amount of pressure in the nib so it feels similar to using traditional pencils, so it won’t be difficult to get used to.
    Overall a great tablet!

The Veikk VK640 tablet is an exceptional tablet for beginners and I was lucky the company was happy to give me one for review.
It’s light, small and works very well as a ‘starters kit’ for all artists wanting to get into digital media..
The box comes with a drawing glove which is made of comfortable material and is a thoughtful add on even if the glove itself was a little big for my tiny hands.
It also comes with a stylus holder with additional (and plentiful) pen nibs for when you wear down the old ones and though they’re a little tougher to remove and replace than other screw-top stylus models, it’s still not too much of a hassle to use the small metal tool they give you.

My only down side with this was the lack of pen nib kinds. With this tablet you get a very standard hard plastic nib and it’s not overly quiet when drawing and I felt a little scared it would scratch the surface of my tablet.
The holder itself is light but sturdy and the inclusion of usb-c and usb micro-b adaptors is useful for those who wish to attach this to other devices. Never have I ever been able to draw on my phone screen with anything but my finger before and this kind of accessibility makes it amazing for all kinds of compatibility.

The user interface is simple and easy to use and the pen doesn’t scratch the tablet surface as much as I thought it would. It’s very simple to attach various functions to the side buttons and the two buttons on the stylus.
I’ve gotten so used to other pens having an automatic eraser function on the other end of the pen though that I felt myself forgetting that this one doesn’t – but you can switch the eraser on and off with a click of a button instead.

My one real issue with this tablet is the size – while it’s brilliant for budget and storage, it will make it hard to adjust things on a detailed level without zooming into your canvas. Because your movements need to match a bigger screen when using a laptop, I find my hand tensing trying to draw on such a teeny tiny scale when drawing detail.

However this should not understate the absolute value for money and I would wholeheartedly recommend aspiring artists to give this little guy a go when delving into digital art.

Best value for money beginners tablet!

The quality of the product is very interesting.
I have been following this company for almost 2 years and I see that it always manages to create fashionable products.
Products that aim to solve customer requests.
What amazed me is to find 2 pens in the package and a lot of spare tips.

The VK640 while on the smaller spectrum of drawing tablets is equally as effective functionality-wise. Not only does it support any art software, but it also has a secondary purpose for all of your OSU! needs.

When ordering, the delivery is quick and easy, the packaging is secure, holding everything in place. When opening the package, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the tablet came with plentiful extra pen nibs, a pen holder, a glove, and of course the pen.

It also came with the wire to plug the tablet into any laptop, along with two Android ports, (Micro USB and USB Type C), in other words, older Android models and Huawei phones!

The pen is compactly packaged under the main layer of items that come inside the parcel, which effectively eliminates the possibility of the pen being loose and falling out during shipping.

While not supporting built-in pressure sensitivity, this is honestly one of the only setbacks. This tablet is perfect for basic usage, if you’re not looking for anything pricey but still good for your money, VK640 is a pretty nice deal!

For example, if you have a child wanting to get into digital art, the VK640 is a great model for beginners! The compact, lightweight design is easily transportable and packed away into the box again.

Overall, it’s a good deal for what you pay for! I would recommend this for beginners who don’t want to spend much on a tablet until they’re ready to upgrade. In this case, then upgrade to one of the more recent VEIKK models, which are sure to have even more features, including pressure sensitivity!

    Recommended for beginners!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGot one of Veikk’s already so bought another one for my sister for Christmas (the other 3 will be jealous lol!). Lovely, small and portable. My sister is essential worker so it helps her relax and lets her draw on her lunch breaks. It’s great that it’s compatible with so many apps so you have actually a choice which program to use… Phone screens are big these days but I think it’s much nicer to draw on the graphic tablet.
My sister is happy and that’s all that I care about! Made little photo when my sister unpacked it so others can see all the freebies. I am happy it comes with usb to usb-C converter. Saved us some money from buying one separately.

I love this product. As im a university student i always have to carry my other tablets as its too big. Which is always a risk when its raining. It fits in my bag perfectly. Its honestly so good. I love the feel of the pen. Some are slippery but it feels great and is smooth when drawing.

I love that i can attach it to my phone as well, which i didnt know was possible until now. Great for on the go when im on the train and need to write down some notes.

This isnt my first time bying from Veikk. I loved their other models as well. And its amazing that we get so many pen nibs. As with my older ones there wasnt enough after using it so much. So its great that it comes with so many spares. Also very happy it came with a glove as my pinky finger always seems to hurt after a while of drawing. Felt amazing to draw with this product and very easy to set up.

This tablet is definitely for those that are on the move a lot. It’s small size is perfect for packing into your bag and taking with you, if you want to do work on the go! Although, I still tested it on my computer, and ran into no problems at all.
Like other products from Veikk, the drawing experience is superb. The battery-free pen feels responsive and has a lightweight feel to it, meaning it’s not going to put too much strain on your long drawing sessions. The tip if the pen glides across the paper-like surface, and has a good amount of friction too. The overall feel is extremely natural, especially with 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity, meaning you can draw as hard or soft as you like, and then pen will have no problem picking up your input.
The tablet can be connected to an Android device and makes full use of the pressure sensitivity in various art apps, with no installation! I tested it on my Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 5, running Android 11, with Medibang Paint. After turning on pressure sensitivity in the settings of Medibang, it felt no different to drawing on a full desktop program. Due to it’s small size, as I mentioned earlier; it’s a nice tablet to take with you if you’re travelling, especially if you’re using a laptop as a student.
The Veikk 640 comes with 28 spare nibs, a drawing glove, a pen stand and USB-C and Micro-USB adapters for mobile phone compatibility. On the side of the device are 6 programmable hot keys that are in a perfect spot if you’re using it left, or right handed.
On the desktop, the tablet area, and pen pressure can be fully customised to your liking, as well as tablet orientation and what shortcuts are mapped to the hot keys on the tablet, and the two hotkeys on the side of the pen. The software works great, and I had no issues at all using it to draw with!
Overall, there’s not much more to say about this tablet. It does everything right! The only personal issue I have with it is the small size. I’m used to drawing on larger surfaces, so this took a while to get used to, however, that’s nothing to do with the tablet itself and is a personal preference. I would highly recommend this as a good starter tablet, or for those that want a tablet that they can neatly put away, or don’t have a lot of space to draw. Definitely giving this a 5 star rating. An extremely well rounded product from Veikk!

    Great all-around tablet!

I’ve been a freelance digital illustrator for 5 years now and, over the years, I’ve found that the quality of a tablet does have an effect on the quality of your work. I’ve used 6 tablets over the years aside from this one from various brands and can honestly say that Veikk tablets are my favourite in both price and quality.
The VK640 is smaller in size but big on personality. My goal with this tablet was to have something I could take with me to my day job so I could continue to draw on my breaks and increase productivity.

The wire comes pre-attached to the device which removes the instability I’ve found with having a connecting wire that’s micro USB/ C to USB. It also makes the setup much easier as it’s a case of downloading the correct drivers for PC and plugging straight in, or adding the right attachment and connecting it to phone. It comes with both Micro USB and USB C adapters so should work with almost any device aside from some models of iPhone.

For ibisPaint, the pen pressure is seamless and accurate right from the second it’s plugged in. With MediBang Paint Pro, be sure to check your settings and ensure it’s set to pen mode to allow the pressure sensitivity to provide you with the full experience.

On PC, once the drivers are installed, the tablet works perfectly with Clip Studio Paint, MediBang Paint Pro, Krita, Drawpile and SAI 2.0. I was able to get straight back into my workflow without any interruptions and the pen pressure kept my lines consistent and my shading clean.

I suffer from arthritic pain and dislocations. A pen that’s both non-slip in terms of grip and flared at the tip for easy handling is something I look for in a device to minimise pain and inaccuracy with strokes and this device delivers both as well as enough spare nibs to last a fair few years of even daily use!

I’ve been using this tablet every day at work now for the past week and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying expressing my creativity without boundaries or limitations.

    TLDR:
Overall, great value for money, I would recommend this if you’re looking to get into digital art as a beginner or are a student or artist looking for a more portable tablet you can carry with a laptop.

The VEIKK driver software is super simple and easy to use, fully re-bindable buttons, had no trouble with it unlike all the problems I have with the Wacom ones.

Surface calibration was perfect out of the box and a good pressure range. Not as sensative as more expensive items but the best I’ve seen in this price range.

Very lightweight, perfect if you want to carry it around with a laptop to classes or just away from your PC.

I love the touch bar, this is important as you’ll be using it a lot. After getting used to swiping up/down left/right rather than the circular motion that most other tablets have, I found it to be WAY more accurate. I would recommend it for zooming and changing brush size.

The only issue I had was the pen is a little too angular for the way I hold it. If you hold it differently to me you wont have an issue but I found it became a little uncomfortable after 3+ hours of drawing. I increased the sensitivity in the driver settings so I don’t have to push as hard when I’m drawing, that helped a lot so try that if you begin to have the same issue.

Other than that I don’t have any complaints. Very good value for money. I’m a concept artist and this tablet is better than my wacom medium pro that I used to take with me when I travel around.

Great tablet for this price range.

I’m so happily surprised by this tablet, and how high quality is for such a small price. The tablet came with a pen and pen pocket, 8 pen nibs with a nib remover (which I find very helpful) a usb and of course the tablet itself. From the get go, the tablet has a very professional and high quality look to it, it’s a lightweight yet sturdy drawing tablet with a paper like texture finish, which for me being an artist and primarily using this tablet to draw on, is exactly what I’m looking for. The feel is very natural-almost paper like to draw on which is a definite plus for me. One of my worries before receiving the tablet was that the quality of the tablet’s pen would be flimsy, however it’s very high quality! The lightweight, battery free pen has a matted texture which allows you to grip the pen without an issue, and there are also buttons on the sides of the pen which you can hotkey to undo if you want. Mentioning hot keys, the number of buttons on the tablet is amazing, and the gesture pad is an interesting feature I personally hadn’t seen on any other tablets before. The tablet size itself gives you A LOT of drawing room, however the tablet is small enough to be carried around in a laptop bag or backpack which I personally find ideal for when I go to University etc. The tablet’s drivers were super easy to install off of the Veikk website and it was perfectly ready to use! I’m honestly in love with this tablet and it’s great for starting out artists who don’t have enough money for the big name brands, as this tablet is on par if not a much higher quality than brands such as Wacom in my opinion, especially for the price! I’m very satisfied with the A50!

    fantastic table

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersTablet:
This box has a simple design sing white as a background and an image of the tablet.
To open it, pull up and remove the lid that comes padded on the other side.
When we open, we can see the VK1200 display inside a plastic cover.
Simple design and functional, rectangular and elongated shape, good width and six shortcuts on the left hand side. I love this tablet and has a good size.
If we move it, we can see a white sheet that separates the tablet and the other elements.
All elements are well presented and ordered.
Two holes for famous donut, one central hole for a glove, a chamois, a warranty, the wires for connected, two little bags with nibs, a nib remover, a driver download reminder and a quick start guide.
Finally, on the right side, we can see two batteries-free pens inside within its pen pockets. I don’t know why two pencils are coming, but it’s great. So you have a spare in case one of them breaks.
This tablet has 28 pen nibs plus two included with the pens make a total of 30 nibs.
    It’s incredible.
This pen display has 6 shortcut keys with a nice feels and perfect size.It makes a quite satisfying click when you press it. This shortcuts are divided in two groups of three and separated for a button no push it with Veikk name.
On the right side we have one pin of USB Type-C on one pin for micro HDMI, two long buttons for adjusting the brightness to our taste and under the button for on/off the display.
About the wires, we have one micro HDMI of standard length and same with USB Type-C. This USB has divided in two wires at the end if the display doesn’t have enough power. We need connect HDMI and one USB or both, it depends on what we need.
I think this wire is a little short and I would have liked them to be longer.
    Let’s talk about the pen.
I love it. It’s my favourite.
The design with thin metal ring, the feel as gum is so soft and manageable, has two rigid buttons. I adore it.
The previous pens has always been rigged and despite I like it so much one of the models, this battery-free pen is unsurpassed.
Veikk always surprises me with its changes and innovations.
The nib of the pen is same previous models or I think so. Sliding it over the screen is incredibly satisfying and doesn’t make noise. No speaking, no scratch and slides like a feather. Its a pleasure.
On this occasion the tablet has a glove for not to dirty the screen. Also has a chamois so soft for clean it.
To finish if we turn it over the tablet, we can see four triangle protectors on the corners.
With this and width has a good height for use. This tablet doesn’t have a stand or similar but if you are uncomfortable without one, you can buy one and use it with this display.
In my case, I don’t mind not having one.

    Screen:
This is my first time that I use a pen display and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised.
My first fear was grate it when passing the pen, but this tablet comes full laminated so that it’s protected.
My second fear was that the brightness of the screen would hurt my eyes. It hasn’t been so. Is so comfortable and you can up or down this as you wish. I have used it for hours and I don’t have any problem.
My third fear was supporting the arm on the tablet for fear of broken, but this can’t be happening.
The size of the display is perfect. The working area measure 11,6 inch and is totally functional.

    Parallax and calibration:
Is the first time I see the concept “Parallax” like calibration and before I had to get some information.
Calibration in this display is so simple and effective because barely noticeable the parallax. The pointer and pen coincide when you calibrated successfully.
I’m not able to see that it has that effect and if it does, it is minimal and invaluable to my eyes.
    This function is exceptional.

    Drivers:
With the creation of this pen display have updated the drivers. The new version is 2.0.1.0. and before connect your tablet, uninstall and install the new drivers from Veikk and download the last version for work it.
Drivers are the same, but new. Maintains it’s compatibility, but must upload for this model can work.
If this is your first Veikk tablet, download and use an instruction manual and quick start guide for installing this model. Remember, restart your computer to complete the process correctly.

    Performance:
One time we have ready to use, we need configure it for extend or duplicated the screen as you wish. This is explained in the quick start guide and the instructions.
I’ll be testing this pen display with Paint Tool Sai V1, Paint Tool Sai V2, Photoshop CC 2018 and Clip Studio Paint.

    – Paint Tool Sai V1: It works amazingly.
Stabilizer works properly and there’s no delay in making strokes.
The cursor is under the pen at all times and without deviation.
Works perfectly just like the shortcuts.

    – Paint Tool Sai V2: First, I explain one thing for the program works correctly with this tablet. It’s simple.
You only open your program and click “Help” and select “Options”. You need to click in the box says “Use TabletPC Apo instead of WinTab API”.
Thereafter, You can close the program and open again for you can use in this version.
It’s work same of the V1.

    – Photoshop CC 2018: Works perfectly.
So comfortable for use. I’m very impressive works so well in this program.
Every tool, open files, the stabilizer feels perfect, everything works great.

    – Clip Studio Paint: Works cool.
Easily use the display. The stabilizer responded coolly, every tool works fine.
The pressure and all works fantastic.

    Conclusion:
I can safely say that I recommend it to people who have already used one without a screen before, as switching from one to the other does not seem aggressive to me. I am already familiar with the programs I use and the difference is more comfortable see in the same direction you draw.
The feel is so satisfactory and cool when you use it.
I don’t recommend it for beginners. I think that if I had been given this tablet when I started, I wouldn’t have been able to express its potential 100%.
I think is perfect for regulars, experts or professionals.
The display is incredible. Have a perfect size, weighs less and use the pen in the screen is a joy for it’s lamination. Also, the brightness don’t hurt the eyes and is so comfortable for work.
It’s true that it doesn’t have a stand for drawing, but being my first tablet with a screen, the truth is that I can’t miss.
It’s calibration and the reply is great. I’m so very impressed.
This time we don’t have the option for left-handers as we usually do, but in this case it’s called rotating. With this option we can flip the image on the screen, rotate the tablet so that the buttons are on the right side and are accessible and functional for a left-handed person.
To use this option correctly, take a look at the manual.
The change of pens and has two I love it. Also, this tablet got a lot of nibs.
Is a good form of pampering the consumer.
The shortcuts are very smooth and easy to press. Sound a click when you push it.
Regarding quality-price, I see that a tablet of similar features on other brands would exceed by 100 pounds the price of the Veikk 1200. It seems to me that the price it has is much more economical than other trademarks.
The quality is incredible and the price is so wise. If you like a pen display with a good price, VK1200 is your tablet.
I tested this display on my desktop that use Windows 10 and the experience has been amazing.
I recommend it as it has surprised me in many ways and I find it an impressive tablet.

    This pen display is AMAZING

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe first thing I thought of when seeing the vk1200 was how amazing the tablet looks, it’s sleek, simple and very high quality, has a good weight and is glass with a screen protector, this is good as it adds a little texture to the feeling of drawing which is important.
Connection to the computer was straight forward, the included hdmi and usb cables firmly connect to the right side of the tablet, I was able to power the tablet using just one usb port on both my desktop and my laptop, the cable does include a second usb connection in case one port isn’t supplying enough.
I’ve been using this tablet for digital drawing and the results have been great, the two pens included have a slight texture coating feel to them and come with plenty of spare nibs and an upright pen holder to store them in. It took a little time to get used to the pen as I feel the detection point is quite high up inside the pen, it’s something that felt a lot better once I ran the calibration settings in the driver.
I did run into one little issue with the software during initial setup however, it did not like that I had more then two screens in my multi setup so I had to change to only one screen and the tablet as a second before I could properly move my cursor and calibrate the screen, i’m sure this will be sorted out as it’s software related not hardware.
For the price I can recommend this tablet to anyone who wants to buy their first screen tablet and even those who want to take a screen tablet with them on their travels, You just need a laptop with a hdmi port and you are ready to go!

Great quality to price ratio, brilliant beginner screen table

A friend suggested the Veikk V1200 to me since I was on a budget and I very happy with my purchase. The tablet arrived the same day of purchase and in brilliant condition.

    To begin, the package contained everything needed ;
2x Pens, The Tablet, Cables, Glove and Replacement Nibs, oh and a Pen Holder

I use Clip Studio Pain and once I had installed the Drivers and Mapped the pen everything was ready to go. I use Dual Screen so the Laptop recognised the connection and everything was sorted.

The screen itself is sensitive and although I am new to this, I am finding it much better than my previous Gaoman Drawing Tablet as I can now find the Eye Hand Co-ordination to draw much more precise.

The Pad itself is sturdy and I recommend to put a cover over it when not in use if you have a Cat.

One thing I found much more useful is that the Driver allows easy access to Setup the Hot Keys in any preference desired.

I have been using this for a few days now but I hope to add more as I progress.

This entry level drawing pad has a lot to show despite its low price compared to other screen drawing pads on the market.

In the box you get a generous quantity of nibs that come with the pad, along with two pens and a glove. The pad itself feels really comfortable in your hand and has an elegant clean design. The size is just slightly bigger than my Ipad Pro 9.7inch so it’s a nice and portable. It works well especially with a laptop because you don’t’ have to sit far from the computer screen and instead draw on your lap or on a table where you can get right up close to the drawing.

After you connect it to the computer with the HDMI and USB cables it comes with, you have to download the software from the Veikk website. While you are there you can also check their FAQ as it has a more detailed explanation of how to install it depending on what system you have. After the software has installed and the pen is working correctly, calibration is very simple and is just a matter of clicking on plus signs that show up. You can also adjust the pressure and the buttons mapping but I left it because the default setting already felt nice.

I used it with my MacBook Pro and Photoshop. Drawing was easy and the pen behaved as you’d expect. Lines were clean and I was able to get a variety of thickness as would if I was using a normal pen and paper. The surface does not feel like glass but a rougher more paper-like finish, which is what you would want. So the pen felt good and natural.

I can recommend this for anyone who wants to upgrade to a screen tablet. People starting out in illustration are the obvious target. Professionals will prefer a larger screen but this will serve as backup for them. It’s one of the best tablets I’ve used.

Great quality for a great price

As a teacher I have struggled through lockdown to deliver online learning for my pupils, but this device has made things so much easier for me.
It couldn’t be simpler, just plug it in and away you go! It mirrors your screen and allows you to easily annotate questions, model examples and highlight key word for pupils.
The pen makes annotation so accurate and the customisable buttons are so handy.
Its light weight and thin so is easy to transport.
I would highly recommend this product 🙂

Just Received my New Veikk VK1200 screen display tablet.

It arrived very quickly and at first glance looks awesome!

    Inside you get:

VK1200 pen display tablet with an 11.6″ working area ( making it one of Veikks smaller screen display tablets, however the size does allow for easy use on the go fitting nicely into a laptop bag or rucksack)
Not 1 but 2 of their 8192 levels of pen pressure stylus’s ( these are also battery free so no charging necessary)
    2x felt pen protector cases
An Inkwell shaped pen pot ( this also houses the replacement Nibs for the stylus)
20x spare Nibs ( more than any other manufacturer I have seen ” Well done Veikk” )
A USB Multi cable for connecting to the PC/Laptop
HDMI Cable for the screen display
An extra Nib remover ( there is also one built into the pen pot)
    Branded Smudge guard glove
    Branded Cleaning cloth
Quick start Guide and driver installation instructions

Looking at the actual tablet being only 12mm thick it is very slim but also extremely sturdy with next to no flex in the machine.
There are 6 quick access keys along the side ( the centre one is not a button) these are extremely simple to programme in the driver settings
The colour out put matched my 27″ monitor straight away but the options to change this is also simple.
The stylus is very sleek with a nice textured feel along the length with a flared tip for gripping when in use and the two quick access buttons built in work great (also worth mentioning these pens also support up to 60% tilt perfect for shading)
The back of the tablet host 4 gripper pad’s to stop it from sliding around on the desk.

After trying it our for a couple of hours I noticed no heat coming from the tablet, meaning this will work well for longer sessions, the pen is very reactive and the pressure sensitivity was picking up even the lightest of strokes.
(side note to this is that there is a range when using the quick access buttons on the stylus so bare this in mind when using)

There was very little parallax from the nib of the stylus to the cursor on screen.

I would have liked to have seen a stand for this tablet as it does take a lot to get used to not being able to use the hotkeys with your thumb, but this can be remedied with book or a cheap laptop stand.

The last point I would like to make on this is the price.. God its going cheap, for the equivalent tablet you can easily add another 100 on top of the price to get the same (if not Less) as you’re getting here! this is a bargain.

All in all this is a great little tablet, your getting a lot for your money with this buy and I would seriously recommend this for any one that is starting out on their digital journey

Great Job Veikk, keep up the amazing work

    Brilliant portable tablet.

VK1200 is the latest graphic tablet of Veikk!!
It’s a really affordable tablet for beginers!
You will get two pens and 20 nibs! So you can draw a lot without even buy more!

Its not a stand alone tablet and it needs HDMI connection to work!
Its pretty lightweight! more than other tablets and their design is really pretty! Its 12” (11.6” active area)

With clip studio works perfect! The only problem I have is that I’m too used to the quick actions on my other tablet and this one feels a little bit akward because of the buttons! (This tablet doesn’t have touch screen, it only works with their pens!)

It have a little bit of lag with the pen and the line art, but not too much noticeable!

Overall is a pretty good tablet to begin with and its pretty affordable!

    Pretty affordable tablet!!

I received my VEIKK VK1200 and I am very pleased with the tablet so far.

I had previously worked with a budget model of viekk tablet and found it to be a great piece of kit. But having tried this model with the screen included I am so impressed!

The screen is a great size and the pen glides across the screen.
Having the short cut keys to the side of the monitor is so convenient and honestly makes my life easier. Digital art can time consuming, but having the shortcuts set up the click of a button is fantastic.

The tablet actually came with a spare pen which I was pleasantly surprised to see. As a parent to a toddler, I have previously encountered broken digital pens on more than one occasion. As such having a back up ready to go was such a wonderful little extra.

As far as mid range tablets with monitor included, this is most definitely one of the best I have used. It is so intuitive, easy to set up and just a delight to work with. A very worthwhile purchase!

  68. thebedfordcitizen says:

First off, I would like to praise that the tablet is the perfect size and doesn’t take up a lot of space; it has a large work area with hotkeys on the side which can be used either at a desk or on your lap, regardless it’s very comfortable to use.

After setting up the tablet, I changed the hotkeys to the commands I use the most when drawing and adjusted the overall pen pressure. This is quite easy to do because the setup menu is quite simple to use but completely customisable to what you’re looking for.

A positive to the vk1200 screen tablet is that it’s not very heavy and it’s small enough to be put in a bag when travelling if you’re on the move. It’s not clunky, it’s streamlined and slim.

Another positive is that from pen to screen there’s no delay when making a brush stroke, it’s easy to orientate and the resolution of the screen is fantastic; it’s clear and the overall colours are similar to my main computer screen.

Also in the box they provide you with two pens, a dozen nibs, a pen stand as well as a nib display which I appreciate because having backups is always handy if something goes wrong. I’d like to add that the pens require no batteries or charger which means hours of drawing time.

Finally, I’d like to mention that this tablet is cheaper than most other screen tablets out there and I’d recommend it to anyone, it’s one of the best tablets I’ve used and it’s of a high quality.

    Brilliant screen tablet!

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersThe VK1200 pen display is the latest graphics tablet from Veikk, a Chinese based manufacturer who produce a variety of devices like this for (predominantly) designers and illustrators, but of course, anyone can use one!

As far as I know, at 12″ (11.6″ active area), this is their smallest drawing tablet — about the size of an iPad. This isn’t a standalone device though — it needs to be plugged into a PC/Laptop or Mac and you draw on the screen!

I actually own and use a larger VK1560 tablet for various illustration work, so can vouch for their quality, but wanted something smaller and a bit more portable, for when, hopefully, we can go back to working in an office!

In the box are the tablet, 2 pens (which come in their own felt-type sleeves/protectors), 20 spare nibs, USB cable, HDMI cable, nib remover, drawing glove, driver download instructions, quick start guide and a pen holder in two parts; the bottom half is not only for storing the spare nibs, but can remove the older nib from the pen as it doubles up as a nib extractor tool! Once screwed together with the top half, the combined units become a handy pen holder.

Whilst connecting the tablet to my laptop it was quite fiddly connecting the mini HDMI connector into the tablet. It took a few attempts as I didn’t want to damage anything, but apart from that setting everything up was effortless.

This is a fully laminated HD 1920×1080 screen and out of the box with no settings tinkering, was vibrant and nice and bright. It comes with a pre-fitted Anti-Glare Screen Protector.

The pen(s) is quite light, but feels good in the hand and is a two-button job: top button is ‘Eraser/Pen’ mode whilst the bottom button acts as ‘Right Click’.

I created the illustration accompanying this review in Photoshop. Not only is the pen ‘battery-free’, it also supports 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity, which means you can vary the width of the line by pressing down a bit harder basically — perfect for the type of cartoon image presented here. Drawing felt smooth with no noticeable lagging. ‘Tilt’ is also supported which helps with shading.

Down the left side of the tablet are 6 shortcuts keys (the middle one bearing the VEIKK logo isn’t actually a button!) which provide easy shortcuts (obviously!) whilst drawing; F5 (Refresh), Zoom In, Zoom Out, Space, Increase Brush size, Decrease Brush size.

All these settings (and the for the pen) are configurable in the driver software.

This is a really cool looking, well-built tablet with its nice curved corners and metal backing and it’s only 12mm high! Flip it over and you’re presented with the four rubber feet incorporated into a kind of ‘X’ type design — very industrial looking!

Unfortunately, no stand comes with this particular model, so you’ll have to do what I did if you don’t like working ‘flat’ and that’s prop it up with a book

This is a great little device whether you’re a novice or a grizzled professional!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersAmazing budget tablet

The VEIKK VK1200 is an amazing highly recommended tablet!!I can’t believe how affordable tablet this tablet is.

The Veikk VK 1200 arrived fast and was neatly presented (as shown in the pictures) The tablet itself is beautiful, smooth, sturdy and you can tell that it’s made of strong material.

The side buttons of the tablet are keys that you can bind through the driver which can be downloaded freely from Veikk site.

The pen (you get 2!!) is just amazing!! Very light and easy to calibrate to the tablet, more over it doesn’t It doesnt require charging nor batteries!! I

Using the pen on the tablet was very smooth and sleek. I really love the matte close to the screen, makes the pen Very easy to move and navigate on the tablet.

    Why should I recommend Veikk?

Well they are amazing and have great customer service. As a broke amateur artist, finding a cheap and decent tablet is a struggle. But this product, the Veikk VK1200 is just amazing and god it’s cheap!!

The VEIKK A50 pet tablet is really great/affordable tablet for entry level digital artists! The tablet is super lightweight, and measures 10 x 6 inches (which is a very comfortable size to work at) and has a nice paper like feel.

I found the tracking very accurate and lag free, and the pressure sensitivity was also very good, though id did seem to jitter a little bit from time to time.

Once I installed the driver, it took a little fiddling to get the pressure sensitivity to work (I fixed it by the classic “turn it on and off again” technique), but it didn’t take long before I was drawing this rather splendid turtle (image attached to review).

The pen is a good weight and size and comes with a really nice felt sleeve. The pen did feel a little light to begin with but after a short while it felt natural to draw with. The pen also feels a little hollow and rattily compared to other high end tablet pens, but this it to be expected with tablets at these lower price ranges.

It also comes with a super simple/user friendly app for customising the shortcut buttons and tweaking the pressure sensitivity with a bezier curve ui.

So to reiterate, this is an excellent entry level tablet for beginners that you would be hard pressed to find a better tablet at this price range. Very much recommended!

    Great entry level drawing tablet!

The tablet is pretty large so I didn’t have to strain my wrist unlike the last one, and since it was big I could use it as a second monitor whenever I wasn’t drawing with it.
The surface is smooth and has a sort of film over it so the actual screen doesn’t scratch, I can draw my lines cleanly – the glove that comes with it also helps with that
I found the driver installation really easy, and I could customise the tablet settings there too

The Veikk A50 is a solid, well built graphics tablet that you link to your PC and draw on it. Those drawings are transferred from the pad to the screen. It’s not as intuitive as drawing directly on screen for some but it benefits from being much cheaper and more compact. You could easily keep this in your laptop bag and use it on the go. The A50 has a generous 10″ x 6.25″ usable drawing area. Pair this with the lovely ergonomic, battery free pen and you’ve got a extremely usable drawing device. The tablets 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity and you have a tablet that will easily give you fine lines and bold strokes with ease. The unit comes simply boxed with tablet, pen, usb connection cable and a bag with lots of extra nibs and a removal tool. Going back to the pen, it’s battery free so no charging required and I’ve used it for 6 weeks on a full charge and it’s still going strong. Connectivity is simple with one cord to your computer. It will work
On Mac and Windows computers with the relevant drivers that can be downloaded from Veikk’s website. It’s worth doing this as you’ll get the most recent working drivers. When it comes to software you get an nice interface where you can adjust the sensitivity levels and also calibrate other features on the tablet. You also get eight programmable buttons. These are in a symmetrical layout and due to that you can flip the tablet for left and right angled use. All in all this is a good quality, easy to use tablet that is great value for money and works really well. This is perfect for beginners and professionals alike.

    Great for any budding artist!

I was super impressed with this tablet’s simple and easy packaging, making it super easy to understand for beginners, as it only requires the one USB cable to get it functioning fully. The package came with a small note guiding you on how to download their drivers – once installed, the tablet operates instantly – the wire is around 2-3m, so is easy to move the tablet to a comfortable position to draw. The pen pressure is amazing, with the ability to shade areas with the pen tool super quick, making the lines very thin and detailed if your art style has some precision to it. The pen comes in a soft case which helps keep it organised – which a lot of other brand basics don’t have. The tablet comes with multiple hotkeys, which makes it more advanced compared to other brands of a similar price. If you want a good tablet to start out with but are put off by more expensive brands such as Wacom, you can get a decent tablet for the same price as the cheapest version of more popular brands. For beginner artists who want to experience a good quality tablet for a lower price, I definitely recommend this tablet!

    A good tablet for beginners!

I got the tablet surprisingly fast, and I’m very pleased with it. The packaging was amazing, it included the tablet, the wire, the pen came inside a practical sheath. The pack doesn’t include a CD with the drivers, but they are easily installable with the instructions written on a card.
I use an iPad for working and this VEIKK tablet for graphic design and setting the files and retouches on my computer.
The quality is amazing for the price, the pencil is very light and comfortable, and the buttons of the tablet are very helpful as shortcuts like zoom, color picking and undo and redo.
I highly recommend this tablet for people that starts making digital art on the computer, graphic designers or media editors. It’s very affordable, easy to set up and start working!

Design: 5/5 it has no lights to distract, the buttons all work and are all customisable as well as the scroll wheel which worked on SAI and photoshop!
Pen weight: pen is very light so depends what the user likes, but I like the weight of it
It’s very easy to use, great for a first tablet or even as a more advanced one if you’re looking for a bigger work space, has 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity and worked great, very responsive and easy to use!
I would 100% recommend the veikk to anyone! The team is friendly and responsive and the tablets are always fantastic quality!

I was due a new drawing tablet and upon receiving this in the post i was very impressed. the tablet was neatly packed with the USB cable and pen, with extra nibs and a very stylish pen holder. As someone who is forever losing their tablet pen, I find this is a great addition. The pen is very light weight and the tablet is very sleek in design. I thought initial setup would take some time but installing the drivers took no time at all and from the period of taking the tablet out of the packaging to drawing, it took around 5-10 minutes.
The first attempt at drawing was actually great, sometimes the lightweight pen can be awkward to apply pressure with but this is a minor criticism as the pressure sensitivity is great and the weight of the pen can be attributed to personal preference.
The USB cable has a side connection to the tablet which I find is simple genius as previous tablets ive owned have often become faulty at this connection due to twisting and bending the wire. The design on the A50 helps to prevent this and feels more reliable. I took time to draw a little doodle while i get used to the new device, I can say I’m very satisfied with this table

    Great, easy to use table

    Tablet:
Let’s start talking about the box. I really like the new designs. This box opens from the top in this case and inside has the usual format, one white box with a cover that opens upwards. The truth is that I prefer this way of opening it than other boxes as I find it more comfortable.

When we open the box, the first thing we see is the tablet in a plastic cover that protect it. The design in this tablet is more long and rectangular, really, I love it and it is sizeable. If we move the tablet, below we have traditionally organized with a couple of holes. We can see the stylus pen on felt cover and a USB Type C with good length for connecting our tablet to your computer. We can’t forget the thank you card with links for downloading drivers and little manual. I like it so much the card in this format. Also box has 2 circles on the right, but I don’t know what used. I imagine this is to put nibs in a bag and make it more accessible. We can take out and open for access a quick start guide and bag with 8 pen nibs plus nib removal. They are always very generous in this regard.

I madly in love with the surface of this tablet. I have a great curiosity for the texture paper. I’ve heard that exist, but I never see this nonsense, I don’t understand why this texture is cool. Now I understood because this sensation in the hand is awesome and is so soft. One of the best features together with their 8 hotkeys buttons and gesture touch area is also this texture. Buttons has the perfect size and too big for not pressing one for an error. I love it that there is ever a touch area offering Veikk A30 but A50 has far exceeded it. Touchpad is activated with a simple slide of the finger at any of 4 directions, and it has a function a command by doing a gesture put with 2 fingers together. This is really curious. Understand the touch area perfectly, the move you’re doing and work cool. Has a great reaction.

We look at the left side where the USB port is we can look for a button that goes up or down for activating (up) or disable (down) the gesture touch area.

If we turn it over, we can see 4 circle protectors on the corners for the tablet don’t move when using it. Is very important to use that held steady at the table.

Let’s talk about the pen. This is the same model in A15 and A15PRO, but in this Veikk has changed weight and texture. I note much better quality than in previous tablets. I quite surprised and pleased with the change. Battery free, good weight and 2 shortcut buttons. The back doesn’t have an eraser.

The pen nib is fantastic, and when it comes to sliding in the tablet, it really reminds me of paper. Is so soft and incredible to get this feeling.

Veikk A50 doesn’t have a glove. If you’re used to one, you can use this tablet really think that the model doesn’t have anything for you can feel texture paper and with a glove you won’t notice but for tastes, colors.

    Drivers:
Simple drivers and very easy installation. We still enjoy compatible drivers with all Veikk tablets. If you have any tablet of Veikk remember just connect your new tablet and let drivers do the rest.

If this is your first tablet from Veikk, download and use an instruction manual or quick start guide for installing. Restart your computer to complete the process correctly and avoid errors. A good installation is always the key to having problems in the future. Veikk drivers are very grateful.

    Performance:
After trying a little click sensitivity and accommodating it, let’s see it in action. Well, I’m going to be testing this tablet with Paint Tool Sai V1, Paint Tool Sai V2, Photoshop CC 2018 and Clip Studio Paint.

    – Paint Tool Sai V1: It works great. Stabilizer functions as usual, and there’s no delay in making strokes. The cursor follows the pen without problems, and tools work well. Gesture touch area works great and no problem. A simple slide is enough to activate and no need to insist.

It is work same of the V1 and so new tools, gesture touch area works brilliantly.

    – Photoshop CC 2018: Excellent compatibility with Photoshop. Gesture touch area works perfect. The tablet captures strokes and stabilizers fantastically. Tools operate very well and working on this tablet is so comfortable.

    – Clip Studio Paint: Really good strokes and stability. Perfect use of stabilizer and captures lines smoothly. All tools work cool with any pressure and sensitivity you use. Gesture touch area works really good same the buttons.

    Conclusion:
When it comes to touch panels tablets, this is the best company without a doubt. Texture papel, pencil improvement, gesture touch area and buttons everything about it is wonderful. Touch area is a good point because, for example, at the A30 has exteriors touch hotkeys it seemed to me cool for design, but this tablet has shown me that there are most preferably the button shaped shortcuts because they are more manageable than touch. I find it unbelievable price quality as all it has to offer for this price would be double or triple in other brands.

If you are looking for a tablet with these characteristics and you want a good price, this is your tablet. You will enjoy the texture of paper on the surface, a good stylus pen and 8 button hotkeys plus a gesture touch area for a great price.

Best touch panel tablet of the company

I bought this product so I could add handwritten notes onto articles and papers I have to read as I was struggling to read papers on my laptop, but also wanting to save paper. I am so happy with it and it works really well. For 60 I wasn’t sure what to expect but I probably would have paid more for it.

Bought this tablet to get into digital art as someone who is accustomed to traditional ink on paper. Firstly, I was in awe of the size of this one but that’s not a bad thing as it’s practical and lightweight. The pressure sensitivity and feel of the pen also makes for smooth and easy lines just like gliding on paper so i’m looking forward to practicing with this. It also comes with several replacement nibs which is helpful. Overall would highly recommend for beginners for the price and it works just as well for intermediate artists.

The Veikk A50 Is an absolutely wonderful tablet that lends itself to many artistic applications. I’m extremely impressed by the customisation that’s on display here. The eight customisable keys are extremely useful to have at your fingertips, and the touchpad that’s on the device, is an ingenious way to use gestures when you’re drawing, Being able to customise the touchpad to zoom in or out, or increase or decrease pen size, is a very welcome addition to have for a tablet of this nature. All the customisable keys feel responsive and pleasant to press when drawing, and the touchpad works extremely well.
It feels very nice to draw with, and has a rough texture when using the battery free pen. It gives me the sense of drawing on paper, and I never experienced any issues with the responsiveness or pressure sensitivity of the pen. You can completely customise the pen to your specific needs in the included driver software, and really customise the pressure and the two buttons that are on the side of it.
This is an extremely well put together tablet with many amazing features right out of the box.
The connection is USB-C, which is very nice to see with newer devices like this, and on the side there is also a switch to turn off the touchpad if you do not want to use it.
In the box comes the pen, the tablet, and extra nibs for you to use when you might run out.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time with his tablet, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone, the only thing I would’ve liked to see is the ability to pinch to zoom on the touchpad, but it’s really not an issue with the amount of customising you can do, I said already.
There’s not a lot else I can write about this tablet, as I only have positive things to say. The whole user experience worked flawlessly for me and it installed and was set up on my computer extremely quick and I was drawing in no time!
    Recommended!!

    Wonderfully customisable tablet for everyone

On first impressions, this relatively inexpensive tablet is on par with other, higher end brands. The tablet is really sleek and a really good size, I’d say on the upper end of a good size for a pen tablet, both physically and with the active area to draw in. The size is also ideal for portability and fits within a lot of laptop bags without taking up a lot of space. The gesture pad is also a welcome addition, instead of wheels often shown on other tablets, I found it more responsive and less clunky. The pen is battery-free and so is super lightweight and really natural to draw with.
As a left-handed person it’s great that the tablet can be oriented for your dominant hand preference, you just have to bear in mind that the Tablet Driver Settings don’t automatically flip the hotkey assignment screen to match it so you have to manually work out the hotkey assignment. And as standard with a lot of graphics tablets, all the hotkeys and gesture pad are fully customisable. There are also two buttons that are also customisable on the pen itself. The USBc port on the tablet also means that the cord can be connected either way and therefore won’t be damaged in a left-handed orientation

The tablet has really good pen pressure recognition, and as an artist that uses varying line weights often, it’s really helpful. My only issue with it is that when trying to access the harder end of the pen pressure scale, the differing materials between the pen nib and the drawing service caused a slight squeaking.

It’s also refreshing not to have a tablet with a driver disk in the kit. A lot of tablets include a driver disk featuring an out of date driver, so the move to just tell you to go to the site and download the latest driver from there is super helpful.

I found the nib remover kind of awkward too. Compared to other tablets which are extremely similar in all other aspects, I found this to be the most lacking feature. The remover and spare nibs are also kind of obscured in the box and some of the less observant buyers may not be aware they are even in the box.

I would have also liked to have had a pen holder and not just the felt case like my other tablets do, but that’s probably just a personal preference for wanting my tablet pen to be upright when not using it.

Overall, I think this is an excellent tablet for beginning artists, artists on a budget or artists needing a portable device for drawing. The 55.99 price tag is excellent for a well working device, but if that is still too steep for you, I believe there is also a A30 model which is slightly smaller, but boasts similar features for a bit cheaper as well. The size is great for a budget tablet and the only noticeable problems I found was the pen squeaking and sometimes the driver wouldn’t register and I had to restart my laptop to get it running again, but that’s a problem with a lot of tablets so I won’t hold it against the drivers alone.

The quality of the A30 is brilliant, i love the more streamlined look, along with the more touchscreen like buttons that can be easily remapped through the drivers.

The pen is great quality, i find its not as form fitting as some others but is still comfortable and works amazingly

I’ve been able to do some great commissions with this tablet and i’m happy with the purchase

First of all to start my review, I would like to mention I was surprised at how fast it was delivered, ordered on a Friday and came on the Saturday, a one day delivery. It was shocking. I was expecting this tablet to come after a week, but it came quite fast.

This tablet VEIKK A50 Graphics tablet was very well designed with it’s shortcuts overall, the ability to use the touch pad for zooming in and out on the canvas was making my workflow with drawing 5x fast as I didn’t have to move my pen from drawing to zoom. The pen was very comfortable to hold however, whilst drawing on the tablet, it had a grasp of feeling of scratching the surface, but please don’t be alarmed! It is not scratching the surface, after drawing on this tablet for a couple of days, I grew to love the feeling of drawing on it. Soon, it felt like you were inking with a inking pen on paper with this pen rubbing against the tablet’s surface which helps to feel more natural. The pressure sensitivity of 8192 is an amazing thing to have, as someone who has had 1024 for the past decade, this was very pleasing to have.

Another thing I would like to add, this tablet has a large drawing surface that doesn’t make you feel limited when drawing large flowy lines. I recommend having medium sized tablets as they’re more comfortable to use which this tablet has fit the criteria. From comparing to my old Wacom Tablet that is a small tablet (Grey) as seen in the photos has a large difference from the size of the tablet, this may help you to see how big it is.

Lastly, VEIKK A50 Graphics tablet is extremely portable, i was able to fit in my laptop bag and draw whilst travelling. It is very light weight and thin so, It can fit almost any laptop bag or backpack. If you experience any troubles while installing, it comes with a handy instructions leaflet included as well as it being on their site where you install the drivers. It is very easy to install

    VERY PROMISING TABLET!

This is an outstanding graphics tablet. It came extremely well packaged.
Just plug it in and it works (even without installing the software.
I love the customisable buttons, and the fact that being left handed, it can be used both ways.
    Overall, very pleased

A very close match to the likes of Wacom pads, who somehow try and charge you 5 times the price. These cheaper brands are just as good, and this one is no exception. I am left handed so had my doubts it was truly good for left handers but it is great!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis tablet is very easy to install and I was able to start drawing immediately. It is very thin and light yet sturdy and well built. The buttons are nice and the gesture pad is very helpful. The hot keys were very easy to set to my liking.

The pen, although nicely made, does feel a little cheaper and is very light, this may just be because i am used to a heavier pen so i quickly got use to the feeling.

I did have some minor issues with the pressure sensitivity and line weights but apart from that this tablet is very easy to use and the hotkeys are very useful.

    Excelent value for money

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI was surprised by how thin and light this tablet was when it arrived. It weighs next to nothing and the main tablet feels very sturdy. The buttons are very… buttony, which is good, as it helps it to not feel cheap. The gesture pad was quite exciting, but there’s very little information about what each gesture does. There’s nothing mentioned in the little start-up manual, so I had to figure it out myself. It’s a useful feature! It can be turned ‘off’ with a little switch on the side, but the switch is incredibly stiff and not worth the time. I’d rather leave the touch on. The touch pad is very responsive and super useful for changing brush sizes! The pen was also sturdy, though a little too lightweight for my liking (I prefer pens that have more weight to them or else I do accidentally throw them places).

I played around and doodled with it, and I did have some issues with pen pressure. It’s hard to see in the image, but there are ‘blobs’ at the ends of lines sometimes. I think this has to do with the driver. I have a Macbook, and have not yet updated to Mojave, which is a potential reason for this driver issue. It has 8192 levels of pressure, and it worked really well! I was surprised by the huge variety of line weights I could use! There was some wobble in the lines when drawing diagonally and slowly, but when I drew too fast it would lead to the ‘blobbing’ at the ends of lines. Hopefully this is fixed soon. For the most part, I didn’t notice any issues once I started drawing.

The size is HUGE! I put a photograph of my old wacom intuos pen with the A50. It’s three times the drawing space, and boy was I not used to it! The price is also incredibly reasonable. I paid the same amount for the small wacom as I did for the Veikk. It’s definitely a good product with some software issues, though I don’t know enough to say whether it’s my operating system or the A50. The A50 driver was super easy to install, and it even gives you the option to have programme specific shortcuts, which I LOVE! The Veikk A50 would be an amazing Christmas gift for a young, budding artist, and I am incredibly excited to see how Veikk improves and grows!!

    Good Budget Tablet for Beginners

I only wish built quality of the pen can be little more better. Quickly slipping from my hand. Tab is of excellent built quality and enough to draw. I only used with photoshop. Its easy and simple to select particular resgion of ur image. Amazing product. Veikk thank you so much for such a beatuful product for cheap price.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersI was very pleasantly surprised with this tablet. The build quality is very good, it’s made of a sleek smooth black plastic and it doesn’t feel cheap. The shortcut buttons are nice and clicky and don’t wobble. The active area is large enough to be comfortable while keeping the tablet at a nicely portable size. It is very thin and lightweit and can easily fit a laptop case and backpack if you need it on the go. The installation was very simple and straightforward. If you follow the instructions on the leaflet included, you will not experience any difficulties. The driver is very simple, it lets you adjust your pressure sensitivity curve as well as set up your hotkeys. There is no program specific configuration, so you’ll need to adjust them each time you swap programs. The pen is a battery free passive pen, it’s very comfortable to hold and lightweight. The only thing that would improve it would be an eraser at the top, but it’s not necessary because one of the hotkeys is already set to toggle between eraser and pen. Overall I have to say that I am very satisfied with the design and performance of this tablet and can not recommend it enough if you’re looking for a great tablet that won’t break your bank.

    Great value for money tablet!
