The trimmer was an excellent price and delivery quick. Once received it was put on charge as per the instructions. Once fully charged I immediately started to trim my hedge which at 2m + tall and 5m approx., in length has always been a challenge. It also has some quite hefty branches and brambles in it too. The trimmer coped well and there was plenty of charge left when I had finished. All in all it is fairly light and easy to use. Trimming hedges. Battery lasted all through trimming and the on the mower.
This is a bare unit addition to my greenworks tools and it is as good as the rest it cuts well has a fairly long reach and is very sharp no more cutting through cables now.
Works very well cuts quite sturdy branches without any problem run time is very good.
I have not yet used all thepower in a battery while cutting the hedges.
Only problem is keeping the deadmans handle on all the time when you are cutting.

Cannot comment on longevity only having used it three times. Pleased with the quality and appears robust and trimmed my hedges without missing a beat. The Amazon deal price was too good to resist. In the time it takes me to unwind the power cable, attach the extension lead and fumble with the said power lead while trying to make a start on my hedge with a cordless I am more or less finished and no leads to tidy and put away.
Cuts well, have a good firm grip on the handles and it is safe and easy to control. If using steps make sure they are on firmly even ground to give you good balance.
The battery is powerful and recharges easily, I am pleased with it.

This has a good blade length and great battery life. It’s difficult to use up a ladder one handed so I taped the front switch which made it much easier. My hedge is 15 feet high so I use this on the top as the long reach one is too unwieldy. You get a really good cut at ground level and it’s pretty light as well. I have a lot of small trees, hedges a vine wisteria etc . I found this trimmer made light work of the trimming once I had worked out how to turn it on, which I did not find easy. Probably deliberately made difficult as a safety device. A long blade and cut a decent thickness with no difficulty, The blade could be rotated to make the job easier. Battery charged up quite quickly
Good quality thoroughly recommended. Not too heavy and good battery life. Particularly useful is the ability to rotate the handle enabling you to get close to give a good straight cut to the hedge sides and then rotate the blade to do the top.

Again it is quite heavy and i wouldnt really recommend it or buy it again especially if a woman would be using it even though the video shows a woman using it, however the item does the job well and will cut quite thick twigs
getting the 40 v battery and charger opens up the world of Greenworks garden tools at a far cheaper price if you buy the tool body only from leaf blowers to chain saws to lawn movers and a pressure washer all use the same 40 v battery
Brought the unit with battery and charger for 60.00 in July 2020 as the reviews were so positive.
Was obviously a bit apprehensive as it seemed too cheap to be any good and half the price of comparable models?
I`m over the moon with it and it cuts fantastically and is a lot lighter than you`d expect and half the price of other comparable hedge cutters.
GRIPE. The battery does take over two hours to charge up so looked to see the price of a spare battery 50 quid!!!! The unit with a batter and charger cost me only 60! So I thought I`d play it clever and buy another cutter with the battery for another 60 which is ONLY 10 more. But now the cheapest online price of cutter with battery and charger as of Sept 2020 116.00!

The blades on this first trimmer that was sent out to me kept constantly jamming, the thickness of wood my husband was cutting, was well in the trimmers cutting specifications. After cutting 18 foot of the top of my hedge the blades permanently jammed.
As yet I have not recharged the battery and it cuts very well

Already had 3 batteries which came with a mower (1 extra by mistake, not from Amazon) so buying this was a no brainer. Works well.

Nice hedge trimmer, light and convenient to use. Marked it down a bit as the plastic sheaf over the blade is very flimsy.
Greenworks really ought to be ‘out there’ more. Second product of theirs that I’ve bought and remain very satisfied. Tackled a large hedge over a couple of days and battery went from 4 lights (fully charged) to two lights with no loss of power. I thought about a petrol clipper but so glad I didn’t. But this was only really good value because I already had the 40v battery from another product and therefore paid the ‘bare’ price.

I love this hedge trimmer, it’s brilliant. I thought it might be to big and heavy but it’s ideal for me 5’4” and 9.8st. I used up one bar of the 2Ah battery trimming quite a long side of a beech head. It is easy to use and the blade can move to 3 different positions. It has a safety cut out and you can’t accidentally switch it on. Looking forward to using it agai

This is close to professional grade Cordless Trimmer. Very well made, sturdy and efficient especially when dealing with pine/conifers family type of hedges. If you have lots of thick branches then a 36V-40V type of trimmer is more appropriate.
The option to change the angle helps a lot with precision cutting.

I walked out to see how the hedge trimming was coming along and found that the job was almost completed! As Frankie Howerd would have said “I was amazed!”

I used my hedge-trimmer the first time today, I’m very impressed with how well I managed to get the job done.
I am a middle-aged woman and didn’t get any problems using this machine.

If you already have one or more Greenworks 40V batteries (because you already have a Greenworks lawnmower as I have) then this is a good purchase and an effective, lightweight trimmer. If you do not already have a battery or two, check the costs and the other alternatives. For me though, a great piece of kit.

Found this hedge trimmer to be really light and comfortable to use, the head also rotates which makes things easier when trying to access other areas. It has a good safety combination of a 2 buttons then the trigger which is great for me as i dont have to worry about the kids picking it up. The 2 Ah batteries last along time and the trimmer never slows, very tidy job and happy with the purchase.

Heavy duty cutter for serious work. Not the lightest but it does the job well.
I was not expecting the product to be this good. It’s done a brilliant job of my over grown hedges. It light weight and balanced well. It made cutting my hedges effortlessly. The battery pack I used is the same for my green works lawn mower. It lasted till I got the job done easily. Front and back garden.
Easy to use once a week nipping the hedge growth and hardly any clean up afterwards. What took me nearly hours once a month now takes me minutes. Clean, quiet, powerfull machine.
