Great harness overall but I have the following small issues with it.
    1. The location of the main fastening clip is low and somewhat difficult to clip together.
    2. My dog (Korthals Griffon) is betwixt and between medium and large size. The small fits better but is too flimsy and the large size is nice and strong but is slightly overlarge even on the maximum adjustment. It would be good to either have another intermediate size, or to make these sizes so that a small on max fitting is about the same as a large on smallest adjustment.
Having said this, we have now had four of these. Twos mediums that broke and two large ones of which one came off of her at some point while she was chasing through the undergrowth and one that we still have.
The Halti does give excellent control of the dog when lead walking.

Did not use the product! I sent it back! I thought it was a bit to heavy with too much metal on it! But it looked very well made, sturdy and probably very durable

Good product and has certainly helped with our pup pulling. It has an annoying loose strap which I can’t stop from flapping as she’s quite slight, and it’s not as sturdy as our last harness but in respect of pulling, it’s really helped

when first put on my dog the reaction to stop pulling was instant but it is not to long before the dog start pulling again but not as bad as a coller on it own providing you only attach the lead to the front ring on the harness if the harness gets wet from the rain or your dog jumping in the water you will find the ajustments clips slide on the nilon webbing making the filment very lose and there is no point in re ajusting the straps untill webbing is compleatly dry i have been using this for over a year now the fit can get a bit loose and the back strap often ends up round the back of the dogs head and not over the sholder if you are on a buget this will do ok but i will be buying something a bit better soo

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI ordered three different harness this time. before that I had ordered a medium control harness which I found to be too big even though on the web site they said the medium would fit a cocker spaniel . So this time I ordered a small control harness which fitted her . After a fight I managed to put it on her and it fitted perfectly and so far she has not managed to get out of it why dont they say on the web site when you look it the small control halti harness fits a cocker spaniel which it does

Excellent harness. Great for our adventurous beagle. Bought in a size small. Originally purchased elsewhere in a medium but too big for our trim 13kg beagle.

He can’t get at it once it’s on to chew it. It works well with the halti two ended lead so one can attach on the chest and the other end on the back. It also works brilliantly with an extendable lead just on the back attachment. It fits him comfortably without being bulky like a lot of harnesses.

It has gone through the washing machine several times and is fine. The back attachment also lines up perfectly to go through the hole in his jacket in bad weather.

Easy to adjust, once you’ve put it on a couple of times it’s easy and quick to do. Adjustment it easy too while still on your pup. Just pop over his head, clip under his belly and attach the front clip to his collar. The extra security of the collar clip in addition to the belly clip is welcome. Great harness overall and excellent value compared to many others.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersOverall presentation is nice. On opening I see this flimsy contortion of straps that look like they will achieve nothing for me. My dog looks at me almost laughing as if to say, way to throw away 7 moron. So we take it on a test walk, after the first lap I stopped, looked at Coco and she looked at me, it was that moment I realised I just did a lap of the field and my arm was still attached to the socket. I continued my 4 mile daily walk, and arrived home with all limbs still attached. Coco tried to pull a few times, but simply ended up spinning round facing me, she looked confused. “I’ve been dragging this idiot around for months, now when I try I spin around”. It’s pretty comical, I feel like I have won an unspoken war with my dog, I am victorious, she enjoys her walks as do I now. This really is a well made and simple solution to pulling.

Despite trying different approaches/treats my little Cocker Poo insists on steaming ahead of me but first time out with this harness she actually WALKED so well that my 5 year old grand daughter was able to walk her!! Only issue is with the sizing as despite her measurements fitting with the guide it is a little big on the neck even with it as tight as possible; this means that the front hangs low and the lead falls down and tends to tangle her front leg.

We have a very pully Springer Spaniel and we have tried absolutely everything, slip leads, choker collars, normal harnesses, halti head collars and nothing works! she either pulls until she’s sick or causes her self an injury trying to get something off her nose.
I was recommended this type of harness and was pretty sceptical but I’ve taken her on her first walk with it on and she’s like a different dog (and it doesn’t cause her discomfort like the other things we have tried).

I originally ordered the medium but it was HUGE!! even when it was tightened to the smallest it could go.
When the small arrived, I thought it would only fit a Guinea pig! but stretched out to the biggest it will go is the perfect fit (a little thinner than I’d like but so far so good!)

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersWe have or had a very pulley 4 year old Labrador, it had got to the point that walking him was a real nightmare he’s brilliant off lead but a mare on it. So after seeing a very well behaved Labrador with one of these Halti harnesses on we thought let’s give it a go.
We bought the medium which fits him well after taking a bit of time adjusting the straps, from the first walk wearing the Halti he was like a different dog, tried pulling at the start but the chest attachment seemed to stop him in his tracks after a few minutes he just walks next to me.
He did try a rebellion after a couple of days, but with a bit of robust reinforcing he soon fell back into line. 2 months later he just walks next to me or my wife on a loose lead and pulling doesn’t really enter his mind, if it does we just attach the chest clip and he stops instantly.
So for us this has been a fantastic purchase and we highly recommend this Halti harness. Just make sure you get the right size and take the time to adjust it properly

We bought this harness and matching double ended lead to put a stop to our new 6 month old Lurcher pulling on walks. I can honestly say that this combo worked instantly. He doesn’t try to pull anymore. Previously he would have been choking himself pulling on his lead and Martindale collar. The transformation was instant and brilliant. He is a pleasure to walk now. I fully recommend this harness.

These are really good harnesses however we have been through 4 of them in 5 months, partly because of the dogs chewing through them but also because some have snapped whilw taking them for a walk. For the price they are they are good but not very durable

Wonderful product, purchased for my collie puppy. Some more instructions on fitting and use would have been helpful but it has been brilliant. Pup turns one on Monday, he walks beautifully on his harness. I like that you can use it to indicate to him that he is to walk to heel or that he is free to sniff etc depending on which hook you use. It is easy to adjust and though it was a little loose when he was younger, it’s fit him well through his growth. It is easy to put on and take off too.

Just back from our first walk with the Halti harness attached. We have tried many others, including the nose Halti which he just ate.. But now an over boisterous beagle cross is finaly defeated and the walk was a complete joy. I even took the long way home! He is a changed doggo and might even make parole due to his newly found good behaviour!
I read reviews on sizing here first, and i nervously ordered a Small even though he’s more medium sized.. it fits perfectly with plenty scope to adjust if he gets any bigger or eats too much over Xmas. I dont have a double ended lead (yet) so just clipped his normal one on to the front. It still did the job amazingly well.
Really wish I’d bought this one first!

This harness works wonders – we have 2 springer spaniels that pull relentlessly on the lead. Since buying a Halti harness for each one, the difference is unbelievable. The dogs still pull, but the harnesses seem to spread the pressure more evenly around the body as opposed to just the neck / chest area……making it more comfortable for both dog & owner. I can now walk both dogs at the same time quite easily – almost impossible on normal leads !

I’ve had this product for a couple of months now and the difference in our walks is immense. My boxsky was hard to control on the leash and walks were becoming a nuisance.

Now I have a lot more control. This is not going to cure pulling overnight but she is beginning to realize that I’m the one in control and most of the walk is spent with her to heel. I can’t tell you what a relief it is.

I find the harness of good quality and its easy to fit. I got a medium which at the tightest fitting is just about snug enough aound her chest.

All in all I would definitely recommend this to regain control over exuberant dogs. Our walks are now so much more enjoyable for both of us.

It fits my collie x gsd perfectly, but the loop that holds the excess rope for adjusting the harness isnt very tight and when my pup runs around, it comes loose and dangles to the ground. Not a deal breaker but would have been better if it had been a tighter fit.

Works really well to control my dog who lunges at traffic. She’s happy to wear it and is more comfortable than some bulkier harnesses we’ve tried. 4 stars rather than 5 as the small size wears quickly and I’m about to purchase my third in 6 months.

This harness, together with the Halti lead, worked wonders with my Sproodle to help stop him pulling on a lead. I would totally recommend buying the harness with the lead if this is a problem for your dog. I bought a size medium and we had it on the smallest position and it would often slip off him after he had been in the sea swimming! Eventually one day it got lost at sea completely! I have tried to manage with a cheaper harness that I had previously but the pulling is back so I’m off to buy another in in a size small!!!

Only used a couple of times…my dogs have husky and malamute in the them so really want to pull I usually use a nose led lead to control them but disliked using them bought one of these for my bigger dog who pulls more. Definitely makes a difference…he can pull if he really wants to but i I have much better control of him. The video attaches doesn’t really do it justice as it’s night and he has a pee mid video sorry

Very good but had to adjust to the smallest settings for my springer spaniel, this meant the excess webbing at the bottom was to long, almost on the floor. Reluctant to cut it off as the dog is only nine moths old so may need to adjust in the future. Believe the small would have been too small.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis harness doesn’t look much compared to some comparable products but YES IT WORKS. Easy to clip onto the dog as no ‘step through’ required. Adjust it to your dogs girth. You will also need to attach it to a collar. You will need a lead that can clip at both ends. I have the halti lead which I very comfortable to use. My shoulder joints are now happy with very little pulling and easy control of a 30kg puppy!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis product has both front and back hooks for attaching the lead. The front attaches to the collar. We use pretty much only on the front for general walking. If the dog pulls then this pulls him back sideways and stops agressive pulling pretty well, and is an aid to leash training.
I have the 2 hook lead which I I use to attach at front and back when I need a lot of control, such as on a footpathless country lane.
It’s not perfect, but the best I have found so far.

Followed the measuring instructions but this Halti doesn’t fit my dog. She’s a Sprocker and quite short in the leg and the chest band just bangs against her knees! However, even with the poor fit, it really does work so would definitely recommend for dogs that are more firmly in the middle of a weight bracket rather than on the cusp of two like mine.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersI love this harness. I use it for my st Bernard who is 80kg and loves to charge at cats. Without it i cant hold him back at all. Don’t get me wrong, he still can pull me if he wants to but I can hold him back more with this on. It gives me control without having to use a head harness or other methods. If you have a puller definitely get training but this will help you so your not been dragged down the street.

    Great for pulling dogs

Bought this after our one year old lab injured both myself and hubby by pulling and yanking on lead when we were on holiday, I was very sceptical- despite the good reviews but I’m soooo glad I listened, it has stopped our Lab pulling straight away! She pulls a bit if excited to see a cat/person/dog but it is no where near as bad as before (pulling your arm out of its socket!) and she walks beautifully! Phew! Just make sure you are walking/leading with the bit of lead attached to the chest (if you use the double ended Halti lead ) there is a ring on the top of the harness too (on dogs shoulders) so the double ended lead can clip to both but if you don’t have the chest lead as the tighter / leading part- then dog will be able to pull again- hope that makes sense!

To be absolutely fair this harness did not stop my dog from pulling but it did stop her from pulling so hard the walk had become unpleasent. She does not gasp for air with this. I live near the sea, she swims in it and it dries very quickly. She also does not appear to be bothered by wearing it while she is running about. I found the clip which joins the collar to the harness a bit tricky and would have liked it a bit larger. This is because it sticks a little. By and large this was a good buy and made for a much more comfortable walk.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersSeems to do what we want it, ,i.e it has stopped my dog vigorously pulling . I have a female cocker spaniel and I ordered a small harness. It is really a bit too big for her, even though I have the buckles set at their tightest setting. I have kept it though as she is still quite young and may have a bit of growing left to do. Also the clasps do seem fairly lightweight, even flimsy. I have used it for a couple of weeks now and all is well, however I am not sure it will last though.
My only problem is that it is really fiddly to put on a squirming animal, especially one with a mass of underbelly feathers.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI wasn’t holding much hope for this working but boy was i wrong! Even the first day was a HUGE improvement! I had a very pully Collie who just didn’t like being on her lead! She’d constantly pull to the right when walking and looked really weird! Also because she was doing this i kept stepping on her paws! Well we no longer have that issue! She just walks straight and i can hardly feel her pulling! It’s fantastic and easy to put on! as she grows i will be getting the bigger size! Part of me is debating getting this for my Akita as he currently has a head halti!

Used this along with the Halti lead. What a change this made to our puppy training. It was an instant change. We walked our 4 month old lab using a standard lead connected to her collar. All she did is pull to the point we didn’t want to walk her. Now, using this system, and an instant result, she walks without pulling at all. Seriously, you have to try this for yourself if you are doubting anything I’m saying. You will be flabbergasted. I was.. Thank you.. Lots more walking with my pal for me.

I never write reviews but after today’s walk with our ‘always pulling’ 11 months old Cavapoo I decided to write one. Today for the first time ever I’ve actually enjoyed walking our fur baby. I purchased HALTI harness, lead and collar and let me tell you it really works, I just couldn’t believe in the difference in our dog behavior- always pulling, walking from one side of the pavement to another but not today! Today he walked like a very well behaved dog and I wasn’t embarrassed but proud.
    So Thank you Halti

Tried everything to reign in my 7 month show cocker spaniel pulling on the lead and was at my wits end and so was my mum especially as she has a bad arm. This is the only thing that has cut the pulling my 85/90% and I’ve tried a few different collars and harnesses. I can’t fault this harness at all. For my boy as he’s still a pup I ordered a small which fits perfectly, (it is fully adjustable) will obv have to buy a med when he’s at adult size. He’s at his worst for pulling when he knows we’re going home/back to the car and gets very excited and pulls like a train. Clip front harness’s allow you to be in control of your dog not the other way round and you can steer them in the direction you want them to go in a safe and gentle way. Will never go back to just a collar or a harness that clips on the dogs back.

I can’t say that the harness has completely cure the pulling from our cavalier King Charles spaniel but it has certainly helped. Do find that it doesn’t work evenly from both sides when walking but am getting used to that. I bought the small size which is still a bit big as she is a petite Cavalier. I think they would work better on a larger dog but will continue to use it.

This worked great! For our Weimaraner cross who was an avid pulling machine on a walk, this is the only harness we have found that calms her and encourages her to relax and go slow.
We also got one for our smaller three legged spaniel which doesn’t work as well but this is more down to her need to be moving fast with her disability rather than the use of the product. Great for an able bodied dog though! Would buy again!

Well this certainly helped me and my cane corso cross furbaby. She is super good on the lead and actually walks better with me when off, however when we see another dog she cannot resist but yo want to say hello. This pulling was very persistent and I had a back fastening harness which was just encouraging her ‘pull impulse’. No more with the halti! A very slight tug and she looks up at me and listens. No more sore shoulder or ripped up hands! I feel so much more comfortable that I have control now. Fantastic harness… Lots of adjustable areas, fits great and the over the head application and one clip… Perfect. The clip to the collar (purchased in Conjunction) is a final safety feature. Never buying any other. Love it, thank you!

I had the small one in this for my springer so when that got too tight I bought the medium. The front fastening harness is the best at minimizing pulling.
The drawback is the sizing the medium is so much bigger than the small so its now too big for her, if I had been able to adjust more it would be perfect.

Arrived promptly. I have tried many types of alleged “no-pull” dog harness but this is the best I have tried. My Boxer dog seems to respond better to having the lead attached to his front. Ordinary harnesses with the attachment on the back seem to encourage my dog to pull as the harness gives him something to throw his weight into when attached to the back. Very pleased with this. He can still pull me if he wants to but his pulling is reduced with this harness.

This for me is a worthy 5 out of 5 stars. The harness arrived next day after ordering and is well designed with a good standard of finish. Easy to fit and instructions very useful for getting the adjustments correct.

My dog is a 20 month old Golden Retriever weighing about 32kg. She has always had an issue of pulling whenever she sees anything of interest, cat, birds, carrier bags etc and is very strong. Any walk with her has been a challenge. After fitting this harness taking her for a walk is now a pleasure! I can honestly say this is a brilliant product which has done exactly as it’s claimed.

Golden Review Award: 45 From Our UsersWe had to originally return our harness as it was too large for our ~30kg 9 month old Golden Retriever. We ordered a medium one instead and it fits perfectly. We had trained him to walk well on a harness from a small pup but his adolescent stage (now in full swing) has thrown most of his initial training out the window where he just wants to do as he pleases and pulling as hard as he can is one of them!

We were trying to figure out what we could do to prevent this, and were recommended an “easy walk” harness which led us to this product. He has been using it now for a few days and so far I can genuinely say I have only had to ask him not to pull once after running into a neighbour whom he loves.

The first walk was a bit strange for him as he couldn’t work out what this strange contraption was that he was wearing and he wasn’t used to having his lead at the front (and he has a habit of changing sides that he walks so kept getting caught up) but he’s getting the hang of it now and it truly is a god send. I don’t quite know how it works or what stops him from pulling but most of the time we are walking loose-leash and it’s fantastic!

I’d really recommend this to anyone with big boisterous dogs like my pup whose excitement gets the better of them – so much so that they start taking you for a walk instead! It has been great and so far so good. If anything changes I will report back.

Golden Review Award: 59 From Our UsersWe recently adopted a greyhound who was very pulley on the lead, and I wasn’t keen on pulling him by the throat (or stopping every few seconds), so my partner bought this harness.
Without exaggeration – the difference within literally one minute of walking him with this harness and the corresponding loop lead (connected to his collar via the lead and the harness) was absolutely astounding. It was like walking a different dog, honestly.
Though greyhounds have a slightly odd body shape due to their large chest, we adjusted the harness to a good fit so that he couldn’t slip it off at any point.
The benefit of using the loop lead connected to his collar means that you can hold the lead with two hands, directing the dog instead of pulling at their throat, and he moves in the desired direction without any fuss. So little fuss, in fact, that I just loop the lead over my elbow and walk with my hands in my pockets and he now merrily trots along beside us instead of pulling every few seconds.
A genuinely incredible transformation, and without breaking the bank, by any means. Walking him now is really lovely, instead of a constant battle!
While all dogs are different, I would recommend this if you are having walking trouble with your dog.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWorks very well, has been useful to lead train my pup. Problem is that the design allows her to get her lower jaw under the chest pieces and give it a good chomp. We’re on our second, lucky they are not expensive! Also use one on my excitable adult dog, it’s just so much easier than her pulling on her collar and making herself choke, when the lead is on the front ring she doesn’t even try to pull. They get the idea of lead-walking quickly and without fear or fuss.

I bought this on the recommendation of our vet who also has a Lab that pulls. At almost 30kgs our 10 month old boy was making lead walking almost unbearable. After 4 days he still occasionally rears up with exuberance at the prospect of a walk but the effect on me from his attempts to pull are much better, in fact once he settles down walks are now much more enjoyable.
A couple of things to bear in mind:
*Use it connected to a regular collar; the harness is too loose if used with a half choker as the collar’s ring hangs too low.
*Take your time to adjust all the straps to the right fit. The red strap that fits under the dog only has a flimsy slider to contain excess strap. This easily comes undone and has resulted in me having to tie the excess in an untidy knot.

Put this on for the first time & our 10mth old springador puppy immediately stopped pulling. He can still pull towards another dog but at least it doesn’t hurt my arm or his neck! Haven’t tried it with the training lead yet, which might give me even more control. I bought medium but it still feels a little loose, so may think about buying a small one. I am fifty-seven and need help to stop him pulling my shoulders and lower back. This new harness from Halti is brilliant!!! I am able to walk my big dog with one hand and has virtually stopped pulling. I have used Halti headcollars before on my last Labrador, which were effective but rubbed his face. This harness leads from the chest. I would certainly recommend it to anyone with a strong dog, but take care to measure your dog’s chest carefully. Was a good harness when my lab was young, but didn’t stop him from pulling/tugging and most certainly didn’t gv me extra control to calm him, it just saved him from strangling/choking himself. But still persevered and was very sturdy and lasted 6mths of use

Golden Review Award: 40 From Our UsersThe only harness where I can control the pulling of my dog.. If you attach the lead to the top of back they can pull you but if you want them to have a bit of freedom it’s ok.. If you want to be totally in control hook the lead at the front.. Makes a big difference and make the walk more pleasant.

his is the third one I have had – so they don’t last forever. I essentially prefer using these rather than just a collar around pooch as much safer for them and he does walk better on it if I connect the lead to both front and back. It does need re-adjusting every now and then so not perfect but not a major issue

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersMiracle Product. Gives full steering control of your dog and guides them back towards you (with them facing you which is the most important thing) should they feel the urge to pull too much. Walking my dog on the lead is now a pleasure and not an arm from shoulder removing experience. Small size just fits my 7month old working Cocker (big sizing I think) with plenty of room to spare. Team it with the Halti lead which is very versatile! Attach to the front D ring using the halti double ended training lead (used in a standard lead setup) and instant results awaited! Padded on the shoulders so your dog is comfortable. Had a couple of dog owners saying it looks a bit gnarly or uncomfortable on her but she is fine and it’s what works for you and your dog! There are a lot of straps and loops and it seems complicated at first but I just copied the picture on the box for the correct positioning.

Great item. I bought a Medium for my 6 month Labradoodle. It’s a bit big, but it attaches to her collar and around her chest/tummy, therefore it’s safe to use, and it works, it definitely stops her from pulling.

My lab has always pulled on the lead. I could start my own shop with the amount of harnesses we have bought that ‘supposedly’ stop/help with pulling as well as putting so many hours in working with her. We went for a walk for the first time with this harness and she tried to pull for first 5 minutes (note she couldn’t actually put her full body weight into it as the clip is on the front not the back!) and since then she has trotted next to me in a loose leash!!!!!!! I am gutted I didn’t buy this first 2 years ago!!!! Don’t hesitate just buy!!

I walk a friends dog and she purchased one for her beagle. At first I thought this would not be man enough as the straps are narrow, however I am amazed in the difference it made to walking the dog on the lead ! It seems to steer the dog and gives you more control from the front. Therefore I purchased this for my parsons JR and have used twice so far and been really good for him, took me a few attempts to get the adjustment right on the straps but sorted now ! Makes walking on the lead much more pleasurable and hopefully will break the pulling habit as training is easier .

Well the idea seems good and there is a slight improvement with pulling when you use a double ended lead as you can ease the pulling and it certainly prevents any choking that you would get with a collar or harness, but does it work for a King Charles cavalier, the simple answer is no.

This harness is magic! From the minute it goes on, my six month old border terrier walks to heel. Used in conjunction with the Halti lead and fixed with one end of the lead under the head and the other on the back, the lead needs requires no pulling. It now hangs loose and she trots along beside me where she used to stain to be ahead. Initially she tried to get it off but once out of the house she forgot it was on. I don’t know why everyone hasn’t got one for their dog.

I can’t recommend this highly enough. We’d tried every training technique to try to stop our 3 year old golden retriever to stop pulling with no success. I was skeptical that this would work, but it was immediately effective. It is very well made and easy to fit once you work out what way round it goes. I bought the large halti training lead to use with it. Our dog freaked out a bit the first few times we put it on him but now he lets us put it on him no problem. He is around 29kg and the medium size harness fits him perfectly. At under 10 it’s excellent value for money, particularly as I now no longer get hauled all the way to the park!

Ordered the medium for my 6 month old boxer. It is a little big, but he will grow into it. Does really help with his pulling. when we get to the field i have to take it off, otherwise it falls offf when he runs, but thats fine. hoping when he grows into it, it will fit better, But i still use it every day and prefer it to all the other things ive tried

I have a 6 month old husky puppy and he certainly does what huskies do best & thats pull also other issues we have was his lunging towards other dogs & people with eagerness to greet them & he certainly had no issues in budging my large frame if he wanted to, he’s not even fully grown so that isn’t even his full pulling capacity. So I did want to gain more control….. I’ve only used this for 1 day and i’m already a huge fan of this harness I did also purchases the Halti training lead to use with the harness. My purpose is only training not a permanent fixture, It was so nice to be able to walk him loose lead & if he attempted to pull i could just use one small gesture on the lead and gain control or steer him where i wanted him to go. Its definitely worth a try & from the off its helped with alot of the strain on myself when hes pulling like a train, so in that regard I think you will most definitely notice an immediate improvement but don’t think you are buying a miracle cure that all the issues are going away if you put another harness on them you may find the pulling will start all over again, it does take some work on the owners behalf as well, to condition the dog to walk at a speed which is entirely unatural to them which is at our pace as we are slower & the ultimate goal for me is to walk without the need for the Halti harness.

Very pleased with this, arrived this morning, tried it out this afternoon and it has already made such a difference! My GSD really hated wearing the head harness so this is an excellent alternative – both of us are delighted! She doesn’t even notice she is wearing it. my GSD is not a constant puller anyway but she does like to chase things, this will certainly help with her training I feel. Not a replacement for a proper training class but it does make life a lot easier whilst teaching your furry friend!

Clipping the lead on at the front loop chain, really helps encourage my dog not to pull. I have tried alot of different harness’s and face halti’s (and there are alot out there), to help train my dog not to pull me off my feet, and this is the only one that does the job well and which my dog likes too. The face halti’s work, but my dog always tries to pull it off his face. This one he doesn’t mind at all, and it certainly makes our walks alot more plesant.

Great product, makes leash walking a lot easier. My 3 month old German shepherd puppy walking very calm. So far so good, I’m hoping he carries on like this and kind of training him to walk calm and steady as I’m a electric scooter user. I bought a halti leash as well. I will recommend both

Got my blue staffy at 5 months old, he had a terrible start and wasn’t walked at all. He pulled me off my feet with the force of a bull, always. Bought this and the halti training lead under the assumption it would be just like everything else I tried (including a 50 Cesar millan collar) but worth a shot and I have to say its day 2 and he is an absolute pleasure to walk. Definitely recommend for strong forceful dogs and I wont doubt a Halti product again!
*UPDATE*: I stupidly put this harness on before a walk and and as I got everything ready to go I heard a yelp (he was spinning around excited) and started to limp. Vet warned the band on front restricts a little movement and not to leave it on him off lead. Otherwise for a walk on lead it’s fantastic.

I have bought the halti head harness before and my dog refused to wear it managing to pull it up over his chin and into his mouth. I had also heard harnesses were bad as they encouraged pulling, immediately on the first use I noticed a big difference, I bought the halti double ended lead to go with it and it works great
Leading him off the front ring gives me much greater control and prevents him from charging ahead as it pulls him sideways which he does not like. I looked at loads of these types some which were quite expensive but I feel this is really good value for money as it works as well as any other.
I have a german shepherd x rottweiler who is 11months old, the large is very big and gives him lots of room to grow.

Bought to make dog walking a little more controlled. I do notice a difference between using this and using a collar or alternative harness. Would have liked it to be a little more padded. There is small padding on the sides, there is no padding on the adjustable area that goes around the chest.

I need to have the harness around the body of the dog quite small. This leaves a long end piece hanging, which I may cut off as it comes untucked and trails along the ground during walks. The clip to open and close then sits on the chest area behind the front legs, which it makes it slightly harder to clip and unclip.

The item is sometimes put on inside out and then taken off to correct.

The clip to clip it to the collar, gives some reassurance that if the harness should fail, the dog would not be immediately loose. The product is fairly thin and does not look strong but seems to be holding up well and I find worth using, with the improvement in walking. More fiddly to use than a collar alone but walking is more controlled and is usually worth the few extra minutes to fit and remove the harness.

If I find a similar product for my small dog that opens and closes on the dogs back and with more padding I will consider changing, until then this does the job.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAbsolutely fantastic dog harness and I couldn’t be without it now. I have a golden retriever and he Is quite a handful at times, so I needed something that would be able to control him when he started lunging out on walks. This harness has a double clip so you can clip the harness to his dog collar for extra security. (As mine can very easily slip a harness). The great thing with this harness is that you can either clip his lead to the hook on the back, or the hook on the front, or if your like me and you the halti lead, you can clip him on the front and back so you have complete control over his movements if you need to. I wouldn’t be without the harness and I’ve bought another as back up incase I ever need it. I have a golden retriever and he’s in a size ‘m’ but that’s will the stomach clip being at maximum. So so pleased!

My Cavalier isn’t very big or heavy but his constant pulling was starting to hurt my shoulder. I tried to train him, but it just wasn’t happening.. (maybe I’m a rubbish dog mum haha) I don’t really like the read/would prefer it in all black, but apart from that I really like the Halti, it magically takes all the strength our of the pull and it makes walks in the city a lot easier for me. I don’t always use it, but now that it’s spring and everything smells delicious his pulling is particularly bad, so back to the Halti we went. 🙂 Definitely recommend.

I bought these for my 2 bichon frise in a small size and they fit well with plenty of room for adjustment. Took me a little while to figure out how to attach properly but once they were on were quite simple to use. I like how they reduce the amount of pulling even though it’s not eliminated completely, without causing any discomfort to the dog and reducing discomfort from me being pulled along! My walks are a lot more comfortable now and wish had tried using them a lot sooner.
