I have a hyper rescue terrier cross. Always walked on a harness. She pulls me to bits, jumps at traffic and I don’t enjoy walking her. Im exhausted by the time I come home.
With this harness and lead we walk properly. I can hold with just 2 fingers. It’s a pleasure to walk. No pulling no jumping. Thank god for this harness and lead.
This product is perfect for anyone teaching their dog loose lead walking or walking to heel. By using positive methods this harness gives you control and direction for when you’re training and controlling your dog. It’s not a magic, it doesn’t make you’re dog stop pulling although have seen some fast results depending on dog and training. The harness is comfortable for the dog but the wrong size can lead to some sort arm pits and chest. Yhis harness gives you two areas to attach a lead. (VERY HIGHLY RECCOMEND THE MULTIPUPOSE DOUBLE ENDED HALTI LEAD) Not just for this harness but for a lead in general. This is harness is not safe for car travel. But for the use of training heal work or lose lead walking. Works well for direction training too. Highly recommended for owners that are qilling to train but have a helpful bit of equipment as the front attachment allows you to take control of the direction of the dig without interfering with his or her eyes, muzzles like gentle leaders or head collars do.
We have giant breed dogs & I am always aware that a lease around the neck can cause injury. We have tried several harnesses & leaders over the years & this is by far the best. We have now used them for the last 10 years.
They are very hard wearing & last for years. The only reason we bought a new one was because having welcomed a new mature hound, we thought she deserved a new one, the old one was still serviceable, but we treated her.
It’s easy to adjust to accommodate deep chests, even though the dog herself is slim. There are “sliders” in several places on the harness, so it can be tailored for an exact fit.

I have a very excitable reactive border collie, and walks became stressful as I struggled to control her. I am not exaggerating when I say this lead has been a total game changer. It was like a switch flipped- she no longer pulls, I’m able to control her around exciting triggers and she is much happier and confident. I am so happy with this product, i would recommend it to anyone trying to train an excitable, reactive dog
Not quite sure what size other cocker spaniels are but useless for mine. German shepard now using. According to guidelines my 8yr old cocker, so not under developed, need this product recommended for a Yorkshire terrier. How ridiculous
Since our rescue dog is an escape artist, I was looking for harness that would connect to the collar… Just in case she would manage to free herself from the harness, which happened already more than once with other harnesses.
So I’m really pleased this harness have a carabiner on the front to connect to the collar plus it has to loops for front and back lead connection. I use Halti lead with two ends so I can connect her on both ends when she is jumping.
Minus one star for the plastic clip on the harness, it’s a bit difficult to open/close, feels cheap.
Bought for our Vizsla pup looking to transition away from his headcollar . Hooking up at the back only encourages the dog to pull, the front ring was better but the dog really had to bolt in order for it to “steer/turn” him as it should. If you’re getting this as a alternative to an existing harness or you’re hoping to stop pulling, just save yourself the hassle and go for a head collar first.
I’ve had 2 of these now in the last 3-4 months and both broke in same place. The clip attaching harness to collar broke off. Having said that it really works I’ve tried all sorts of collars, harnesses etc over the years and this is only thing that keeps my dog from pulling. Would give it 5 stars if it didn’t keep on breaking!

I’ve bought several of these Halti’s and I highly recommend them. I’m not a fan of walking on a neck collar so these are great. I use the link on the upper back for usual walking, but if I have a strong dog who pulls a bit then I use the front link. I’ve only used both at the same time in puppy training with my usual double ended lead.

The harness is easily adjusted and whether using both fixings or just one it really works well. We bought it to control pulling and so far so good.
I have spent a lot of money trying to find harnesses that stops my beagles pulling like horses! This harness is very good and so easy to put on and adjust. Definitely the best harnesses I have bought and the beagles are very happy to wear them. Usually they run away and hide at the sight of a harness.
I had not heard of these until I started walking one of my work dogs who wore one. I bought one for my collie, who has issues, and it works. Better than one that goes around the muzzle. Washes well. I also use it on an American Bull x Staff, who is a big, strong, pup with a lot of giddiness and no manners, He is a different boy when he is wearing this. The only thing I would say is measure your dog properly, I assumed that the small would be too small for my collie, so got the larger one. It is slightly loose, I really should have got the smaller size. Saying that, she hasn’t got out of the one I bought and it does the job.
This is the only harness or collar I have found, after trying many others, that actually works! I was amazed. My standard dachshund, an inveterate puller, now walks nicely – and it worked straight away. He’s a standard weighing 10k, so I bought a M size. I had to slightly alter the fit – dachshund’s aren’t shaped like other dogs – but it was very easy and only took a few stitches in the right places. It’s not only great for control, especially when coupled with the Halti training lead, but it’s lightweight so much more comfortable for the dog, especially in hot weather. It’s also pretty sturdy.
I purchased a Halti harness a few years for my own dog. It was brilliant. This one was for my neighbour who had just adopted a rescue dog from Romania. He had never had a collar and lead leave alone a harness as he had lived on the streets all his life. At first he didn’t mind the harness but is now wearing a collar . This was a difficult one but as he’s still settling in my neighbour uses the harness now and then to get him used to it. I still think this is the best harness if a dog is very strong or pulls a lot. I have recommended it to many people who I’ve watched struggle. This suits dogs and owners in m6 opinion.
These harnesses are fiddly to fit and the clip is so tiny it’s difficult to attach it to the ring on the dogs collar. Even though we bought small one it’s too loose on one of terriers and therefor swivvles round so the lead un the chin doesn’t do its job. Having said that its better than other harnesses.

I didn’t think anything would stop my lively Labrador from pulling its comfortable for her and stopped her instinct to pull even without having to pull her back made dog walking a pleasure instead of a chore bought with the matching lead
I bought this for my three year old Maltese. He is a good one but gets bit excited when we go out for a walk and starts pulling. I was initially bit skeptical and worried about how this product will work, but the results were amazing from day one! He stopped pulling immediately and there is chocking also.
I am using this daily on him and can see that the behaviour is slowly changing. Hopefully he will soon forget about pulling.
Only product improvement I would suggest is – one more smaller size for the small sized dogs will help.
This item worked a miracle on my dog who is not very well lead trained. Somehow it stops the dog from pulling and has made my walking with her so much easier and pleasurable. She’s a springer and I ordered medium but small would have fit better.
I had my doubts about this harness but it really does make a difference. My Border Collie hates being on the lead and tends to pull my arms off but somehow he is much calmer wearing this. It’s not expensive so I would say it’s definitely worth a try.
I’ve been after one of these for a while as recommended by our dog trainer. I love how simple it is but also my boy doesn’t feel restricted and can still move freely when he’s off the lead. Very strong material.

Loved the halti and worked really well. Unfortunately less than a year old the clasp connecting it to the collar has come off. Not able reconnect and the harness doesn’t work when not connected to the caller for control. Shame as initially thought it was amazing but it’s not built to last.
I ordered it along with the double ended lead and as soon as I’d figured out how and where to attach everything (if you’re reading the box you’ll need specs!) we set off on a test walk. I took him out as I normally do on his afternoon street walk (he does get a run but that is in a morning) and it went very well. He walked perfectly on it all around the local area, stopping to sniff and toilet but not pulling.
The real test was on the way back. We return to the house down a steep hill on a busy road and our driveway is just around a blind corner. Usually I have to make him sit about 20 times on the way down so he doesn’t pull me down the hill, but with the harness on, although I could tell he was wanting to pull, I had to exert very little force on the lead. We even got all the way to the driveway that he has to run up because the cat was there once 5 months ago.
Fingers crossed it continues. And because it’s so minimalist I should be able to use it to take him to the field in a morning and just give it a quick rinse after.
Amazing difference walking the dogs with the Halti on. My biggest mesium sized dog thinks he has to walk at heel with the Halti on. I take 3 dogs out, with the two biggest on 10 metre leads and the smaller dog runs free. In the past if there is a cat, rabbit or another dog I would struggle to stand up holding the 2 of them. With the Haltis I am in complete control and hold the dogs really easy….it is amazing….highly recommended.
This Halti is a Godsend! I have a slipped disc in my back and I was really struggling to walk my Golden Retriever on her Harness. I was recommended this by a neighbour and it was the best purchase I’ve ever made. I don’t know why or how but she doesn’t pull in the slightest! It’s saved me a lot of pain! Highly recommend for dogs who like to walk their owners lol
Game changer – my dog stopped pulling straight away, he looked a bit confused the 1st few times out, but soon got the hang of it, our hope is that if we use this long enough while teaching him to heel we will be able to swap back to a normal lead at some point. Word of warning about Amazon however – it’s taken me 4 attempts to get the correct Halti items from them, I think their pickers just see the box instead of looking at the sizing – worth persevering however as they are almost double the price in the pet shop.
It doesn’t stretch and isnt supposed to, so I’m not sure why I’m asked to rate that. It stops my cockerpoo pulling, but I don’t think it would stop a determined puller or a stronger dog (my guy is a beanpole). I got the smallest size and because he’s so skinny there was plenty of room even though he’s technically a ‘medium’ breed.
Best thing is you don’t have to get the dog to ‘step in’; it just goes easily (loosely) over the head and clips around the middle. Our last one dragged on his ears when it went over his head, and we had to pull one leg through a loop; pain.
I found working out the sizing really confusing. My Vizsla is big and I went for the larger size but it was way too big even in t tightest setting, so not sure if I am putting it on wrong or something. Unfortunately as it was loose he also managed to grab it with his teeth and chew straight through it whilst I was stopped talking to a neighbour… So it’s durable provided sharp Vizzie teeth can’t get at it! As it broke we bought the smaller one which is a better fit. Although the tightening bit at the front – the loop pulls fabric through a metal ring, this doesn’t work because the lead pulls from behind your dog, so it doesn’t really do anything unless they are behind you. It might work if that part was on the dogs back. Still, as an affordable harness the do the job so your dog doesn’t choke around the neck when pulling.
I bought a meduim for my 35kg female golden retriever and its still slightly too big, the black strap at the front ends up round her shoulder and its tightened to the very smallest it will go! It did help with pulling! However will help alot more of it fit properly!! I’ve ordered a small!
Amazing. I’m sure this product was made at hogwarts! Took my 6 month old cane corso pup who has pulled me over (yes to the floor) twice and he walked so well my 8 year old was able to hold tee lead for an hour! I don’t know which witchcraft was put in this product but I am grateful for it.

It fits my male standard poodle and could be adjusted to fit a slightly bigger dog than that, if that helps anyone with sizing. I like that it has clips on the front and back, though I recommend using the front clips if your dog is prone to pulling. Well made.
This is a great lead, we bought this a few months ago and our puppy is now walking without pulling which has made walks so much more enjoyable for everyone! Would fully recommend buying this, but also using a collar around the neck and connecting the two leads (which you can do using the clasp) to make sure that the dog gets used to being led by the neck as well as the chest.
I do love this product, it has stopped my dog from pulling even from the first time he wore it. I ordered a medium size for him having measured him and guided by the dog breeds ( cocker spaniel) suggested for that size, however I have it on the smallest setting and I think it is still a little bit big, but it is doing what I wanted it to do.
I bought the small for my Cavalier King Charles and it fits perfectly with plenty of room for adjustment if required. Used this with the double-ended lead yesterday and i am amazed at the difference it’s made to our walks. It’s a gentle way to remind her what I expect of her Instead of me tugging on her collar and making her choke. My dog is learning to be calm on her walks now instead of always pulling to get ahead blindly. Yes I recommend 100%

I ordered 2 of these in different sizes, 1 medium and 1 large. Unfortunately the large 1 didn’t fit my 4 year old golden retriever so I returned it, the returns process was very easy . Only thing that I thought was a bit excessive was the cost of returns 3.99. This came off my refund which I had back in my bank very quick, literally 24 hours after I returned the item. The medium size fitted my 5 year old lab nicely and works a treat! It does fit my goldie too but for the hassle of ordering I can get the same one from pets at home.
This has made a massive difference to lead walking with my Cocker Spaniel. He normally pulls like a train but instantly he walked nicely and has continued to do so. I’d originally ordered the medium based on the guide but that was far too big and even the small could do to adjust more on the front for him – and he’s not dainty! Which is why I’ve given 4 stars instead of 5. The fit could be a bit better but as it works we will stick with it.

I have tried a coulple of different harnesses that didn’t live up to expectations. This Halti harness is brilliant, worked straight away and no fuss putting it on or off. Walking my boy is now a pleasure not a battle. If i had 1 criticism it would be that the straps loosen slightly over time. Otherwise its a 10/10.
It’s very good in preventing the dog pulling but harness needs retightening quite often and it’s time consuming setting it all up
My Labrador is 10 months and we’ve been training loose leash walking for 5 months. Everything halted when nothing seemed to be working anymore. He didn’t pull crazily but would walk nicely for a few steps and then surge forward. Stopping and starting didn’t work.
I thought I’d try this and I can’t believe it. If he does try to surge forward, I turn my wrist on the leash attached to the front clip to create tension. He comes back straight to position. It’s a clear signal my pup understands, rather than just a lead connected to his collar going right.
Our training is now progressing well and he is waking beautifully!
The only thing that annoys me a little is when the harness is adjusted, some of it hangs loose. It doesn’t get in the way but it annoys me. It might be because he’s in between sizes at the moment. Next time I’d look for a different one that doesn’t do this.
This is not a miracle and does not solve the problem, but it certainly helps with the controlling. No more bad backs walking the dogs, and they definitely do not pull as much. I’ve have bought and tried various different harnesses, and this is by far the best. Would definitely recommend. It was trial and error with the correct sizing and adjusting, but kept the first one and used it on my other dog and reordered another size. Good value for money.
Bought initially for my springer as borderline on sizing but a very snug fit (I am now using the next size up). Now being used by a relative for a cocker spaniel which is a lovely fit and has reduced the pulling considerably and now easier to manage on walks. Very well made and easy to fit once adjusted to your dog. Dog doesn’t mind wearing it or rub or catch on soft parts behind legs. Prefer this to the nose Halti which they continuously paw at.

Very well made and easy to fit once adjusted to your dog. Dog doesn’t mind wearing it or rub or catch on soft parts behind legs. Prefer this to the nose Halti which they continuously paw at.
Love this harness. I purchased this following review re dogs that pull as I have two that pull and are very strong especially if they see a cat or anything furry and moves ! And I can honestly say thats its been a god send. They can still pull but not half as much as before and I can stay on two feet ! Training helps also. I would recommend buying it with the halti lead as this helps also
