Used it for about 8 hours then stopped. Then realised I had not plugged in the power lead as well. Once plugged the power lead on all good.

Does what it says on the tin. Works fine quality of course isn’t great but used on an old screen (as I assume a lot will) and have had no connectivity issues.
This is just what i expected, works well and easily, connects very well, displays images very nicely, no faults from this product yet, still works after a long time and lots of use. Solid wire and end to the cable.
Recently upgraded my graphics card and it has no VGA out port. I use an older VGA-based KVM switch to switch between 2 PCs so needed to retain the VGA output for the KVM. This adaptor worked like a dream just plugged it in and it works, flawlessly. Very happy 🙂
This adapter allows you to screw in thr VGA cable, using the two side screws that are common to most cables – so it doesn’t work loose. Also does the conversion job well.
Got my son a new Gpu for his birthday, so naturally didn’t have vga out. Use the adapter to plug his vga connected monitor in, and the hdmi end into the graphics card, all was good!! If your in a bind, this is a cheap alternative to getting a new monitor.
It works perfectly, allowing me to use an old, but completely adequate, LG Flatron screen (with VGA input) with a new Dell PC (with HDMI display output). The adapter is reasonably priced. It seems well made but as I have only had it for a short time I cannot how durable it will be, though as it is not the sort of thing that gets a lot of handling once fitted it seems unlikely it will wear out anytime soon.

Your not going to get a proper HD picture unfortunately.
However the vga socket on my pc is not working and has an Hdmi out.
So bought this just to use my pc.
It works and it’s getting me by for now.

Benfei adaptors work every time. I am now able to connect my old data projector to my laptop.
I used this adaptor to connect my new Dell laptop (Jul22) with a ViewSonic monitor (purchased in 2020) and it worked immediately, without any installation needs. Exactly what I wanted.
It’s connected but the second screen / monitor has a fault, so it can’t be tested
Decent quality. I’ve been using it for a while now. For at least 8 hours per day. No issues so far. It works as expected.
I do use it with an old screen, so I can’t guarantee image quality. To me it seems as expected.
The adaptor allowed me to connect the HDMI port on my PC to the VGA socket on my monitor. It works, it does the job, what more is there to say.

I got a new GPU which only had HDMI but I have a VGA monitor and I didn’t want to spend more money on getting a HD monitor so this is perfect for me. The picture looks great through it and it is a very good price.
It came in a simple package and worked as marketed. Simple plugged in between my laptop and old monitor. Initially there was no audio but once I played around with the display settings on my laptop I was good to go.
This device has saved me throwing out or putting into long term storage my old monitor! And increased my work productivity no end as I now have two screens (old monitor and laptop screen) to use whilst working. Hope the device continues working for a good few years!
Seems to do what I bought it for; connecting my old monitor to my new laptop.
Works well for HP Windows PC which it was bought to use on.
Does not work on my Mac book as this I believe needs a powered converter.
Works well – placed the adaptor for my comnection between Pc monitor and laptop (working from home atm) and it works well – no issues happy with my purchase.
Firstly, I ordered the incorrect item, a HDMI to VGA which is this product. So, I spoke to Mike from customer service, he arranged for a free delivery of the correct item a VGA to HDMI cable, and didn’t charge anything. Placed a 2 year extended warranty on the product. I was not required to return the incorrectly ordered product.
As for the product itself, it was quick and easy to connect. I’ve been using it for around 1 hour now, and the picture quality is a vast improvement from my original output.
We had an issue where the PC would not recognise the HDMI signals from both the monitor and the graphics tablet. Used the VGA port on the monitor with the HDMI converter to the secondary HDMI port on the PC and the signal was recognised. The monitor is now able to be used at a high enough resolution, and the graphics tablet at true HDMI levels. Excellent compromise.
Used to connect old projector with new laptop VGA screws hadn’t secured into old laptop for years, obviously a problem with vlem with the VGA port on the laptop as screws into this connector without a problem.
Just remember that it works for picture, but not sound. You need a separate lead.

I needed to be able connect my laptop via HDMI to my 13 year old 23″ monitor. This HDMI to VGA device for a small cost has enabled me to get the most out of a small screen laptop. I’m creating process documents and need two screens. The HDMI to VGA device produces a decent picture but the screens don’t always align.
Plug and off you go. Easy to use, small enough to carry in a handbag/laptop case. Worked perfectly well with an externally connected projector that had the old SVGA connectors (3 rows of pins). SVGA lead to the adapter, then plugged the adapter straight into the HDMI on my laptop. Used VLC Media Player to play the dvd … all worked perfectly. If I can set this up to work, anyone can :D.
Wanted to connect laptop to larger monitor which did not have hdmi connection. This did the job. Monitor->Vga cable -> adaptor -> laptop

Bought this as I have an old but reliable monitor that only has a VGA port and I have been given a work laptop with only HDMI support.
Connecting this adaptor to my laptops HDMI cable allows a VGA cable to be run from my laptop to the monitor which was not previously possible and had prevented me forking out 100 for a new monitor.

Bought this as I have an old monitor that has a VGA port. Most modern laptops/notebooks didn’t have a VGA port so this adaptor works a treat.
When I had to replace my old Laptop , I thought with VAG connections no longer fitted to newer models , my HP Monitor was going to be redundant and would require to be replaced at further cost. This little connector saved me all that hassle. Works grea

This adapter is very good. It is the second one I have brought from this brand and both have worked with no problems at all.
The adapter is genuinely plug and play, you don’t need to do anything. It gives a nice crisp picture on a fairly old Samsung monitor that I have.
Worked fine straight out of the box. My only niggle is the screen size didn’t seem quite right – a “full-size” window extended beyond my monitor screen. Easy to fix by manually adjusting the window size, so not a big deal.
Would still recommend this if you need a HDMI to VGA connection – good value.

Works well. My partner uses it to connect the xbox up to PC monitor. He did have to change some settings or had moments of the screen going black (this does still happen with some games but very rarely – however is expected with the type of connection) all in all a really good produc
This works great…. Once you get past the dreaded ‘input settings out of range’ message which you will sadly get on older monitors. You can Google this and find several things to try, as I did and none worked until I came across one in particular that did the trick, so here is my version :-
1. Right click on desktop background.
2. Click on display settings.
3. Click on Advanced display settings.
My desktop resolution and active signal resolution were different. The active signal resolution was larger than the desktop signal resolution.
4. Click on Display adapter properties for your display 1, 2, etc. After ‘Detecting’ them.
5. On Adapter Tab click on List All Mode.
My input out of range mode said to change to 1680 x 1050.
6. Click on a range lower than what the monitor resolution is.
7. Click OK and then click apply.
8. Click apply changes.
9. On Adapter Tab click on List All Mode.
10. Select the resolution the monitor is capable of handling, normally the ‘recommended’ resolution.
11. Click OK and then click apply.
12. Click apply changes.
13. All done!
You should find you have a good, clean picture. What a bargain for 6!

Does the job! Some reviewers are complaining of connectivity issues – check your screen resolution and refresh rate to resolve these.
Using HDMI input for a 1920×1200 monitor from a Raspberry Pi 3 doesn’t work so well, as it seems to only go to 1920×1080 via HDMI, and there can be underscan / overscan issues.
By using this adapter I can get the whole 1920×1200 screen used, with much less messing around.
Ordered at about 10am and delivered the same day at about 7pm. Unreal service and the cable works fine. This is the second one I’ve ordered from this company. Highly recommended.
I have two monitors; one with HDMI and the other VGA. A recent laptop replacement left me without a native VGA connection and a bill for a new monitor with HDMI, or so I thought… 6 later and this adapter allowed me to keep my perfectly good, if slightly aging, monitor for another while yet and thus saved me a 150+. Nothing to do but attach the connector and plug it in. Worked straight away and picture quality excellent, no difference from the native VGA on my old laptop. Highly recommended.

Grate device for connecting my monitor to my laptop, it has given great picture quality and the screen is very clear. Would recommend for this type of conversion.
Works perfectly and means I can continue using my old Acer monitor, I don’t like to replace things that are still working well but my modern PC had no way to plug straight into my monitor without an adapter. I was surprised how good the picture quality is going from HDMI to VGA.
