I have a replacement monitor without HDMI but I have an HDMI coming out of the PC, this was the ideal adaptor. Plugged it in and worked straightaway, a good purchase.
Works exactly as expected. So long as the items connected to it powers off, as opposed to staying on standby, I found it automatically selected what item was inputting when that item powered up and didn’t require an external power supply connected to it. If your items don’t power off you will probably need to use the remote control. That then needs the switch to have a power feed to it.
This item works perfectly. Working from home I had an older screen that used a VGA connection and a laptop that used HDMI only so with this I have been able to connect both and can work off two screens.
Very useful product at very reasonable price, if you want to use old VGA monitor from a newer laptop with HDMI type output.

Excellent delivery. Now bought 3 for various uses, boiling down to either using an older monitor as a second screen or interfacing to a VGA KVM. In both cases it’s a cost-effective option to throwing out perfectly functional kit for recycling. Can’t fault the performance. Probably too early to say on reliability, no worries so far but I’ll keep you posted

I am working from homw and using 2 monitors. My PC only has a dvi and hdmi so I needed a converter. This was spot on, it is well made, not too big and works like a charm. I would definitely suggest it.

Great product allowing me to link second monitor from vga to HDMI. I was told to buy another monitot with a HDMI port or buy a digital converter?! Didn’t expect amazing quality due to anologue to digital, however I was pleasantly surpried. Great product, no need for further adapters.
Plug-and-go solution for turning vga connected monitor to hdmi. Took a bit of pressure to ensure the securing screw on each side went in properly and made a tight fit. It works perfectly.
In a world where dongles and adapters are usually a rip off, I thought that 5 pounds was pretty good value (hell I paid 12 pounds for a Kettle lead from Currys!!!). So all in all good value and it works. So basically a winner.
This is my second Dukabel product. This worked as soon as I plugged it into my 2010 MacBook Pro. Mirror screen, extend, transmit audio all down hdmi with no issues and as ever durable and a good fit in all sockets
Required HDMI to VGA adaptor to connect our old monitor/ machines to connect that we had in office which only had a VGA port. The adaptor worked out of the box. I liked the fact that it doesn’t require any additional power, no addition al drives, just plug and play, in few quids makes your machine working.
Hi, A new laptop meant I had to go HDMI to VGA to connect to a projector. First attempt gave a mis alignment to the right of the screen but I turned the screen resolution down one notch and it works perfectly whilst still giving a very clear picture, Perfect.
I bought this to utilise the HDMI port on a mini computer, to access a monitor which only has a VGA connection. No problems with installation, and the old monitor is back in use.
Does exactly what it is meant to do. My new laptop didn’t have a port for my old screen and wouldn’t pick up the signal from a different cable with correct one. So I could use my old cable by connecting it to this converter. Worked immediately.
Plug and play, simple as can be. I move between a hdmi connection at work and a vga connection at home(where i use this adapter) and the computer and monitor at both locations work flawlessly, no installs, no glitching. No discernable change in picture quality. Bargain.

I haven’t used this item yet as I am waiting for a new computer tower to be delivered. The adapter lead will be used to connect an older monitor to the new tower.
Works as expected VGA to HDMI. Price was okay as have seen more expensive options for getting the job done. My only problem is that the VGA does not screw in securely so if the cable moves it does have a chance to fall out. If this happens you may lose picture or the screen may have interference.

Wanted a third screen in my office but all the spares in the company had VGA fittings. This lead fixed the issue for a good price and the screen connects perfectly with a good picture. The dream is 12 screens.
Nothing wrong with the connector but I was unable to achieve the desired result. Not the connector’s fault. I was trying to connect my computer to the TV but I’ve been told my computer is too old.

Just what I needed to set up dual screens on a PC that only had hdmi and dvi outputs from the graphics card. A very simple adapter, but somewhat hard to find. Very glad I bought it.
I have an old monitor, so picture quality is difficult judge. Easy to connect and works.
Does what it is supposed to. I bought a new pc without realising that my old monitor wouldn’t connect. Quick order on Amazon and the connector arrived next day. Plugged it in and worked fine.
It works as it should. Occasionally my screen displays static but I’m not sure if it’s this adapter or my vga cable, it could be either but either way it’s not a big deal. It fixes itself within a minute and it’s only happened twice. Picture quality is the same as it was on my laptop screen, no quality loss. Can’t complain for the price.
Does exactly what I bought it for. I am not techie enough to know any better than that. I was not able to use my desktop monitor with my laptop before, but now I can.
It works well but picture quality is not as sharp as expected.
The converter came quickly and was packaged well. I am using to connect a Nintendo Switch to a video projector (great for a kids club video game night on the “big” screen). The only complaint I have with it is that it cuts off a little bit of the left side of the screen. It is still very playable. Otherwise the quality of the picture is very good. For the price I am very happy with it but I could not give it 5 stars.

I used a computer moniter with a 9 pin connection with (VGA to HDMI) to a Raspberry Pi_3 and I can free up my TV and have a dedicated moniter to work with. It is a very cheep work around that works. Highly recommended.
Bought 50 of these to use in the office. Staff aere given additional screens to use with their laptops when working from home and these adaptors were needed. They were good value for money and all working well.
Had problems linking HP Windows 10 Laptop to HP w19ev monitor due to old VGA socket. This cable linked the old VGA monitor to a HDMI socket in the port replicator was just the ticket for two-screen application. No drivers required – just plug and play!
The product was used for running a projector from my laptop for talks and power points at the local history society. The product is very good and works well. The company contacted me to see if I needed any advice on its usage, which was a service which I had not expected.
I’ve had a 21″ Sony TFT LCD monitor gathering dust on my desk ever since I had to replace my laptop some years ago. The laptop, being sleek and modern and all of those lovely things, didn’t have anything so ugly as a VGA port amongst its connections. Just USB and HDMI. The TFT monitor, made in the early 2000s, was never going to have an HDMI connection. So, the two remained strangers.
But with this little adapter, it lives again. The monitoris never going to be HD, or make Blu-Ray discs look great, or even replicate the laptop display in widescreen format (it squeezes it horizontally but actually gives me more display vertically so less scrolling down pages), and I’m not bothered about it being old, outdated tech. It still does the job it was bought for all those years ago, thanks to this HDMI to VGA device.
You simply connect the VGA’s 15-pin connector into the end with a VGA icon, put the HDMI end into the HDMI port on the laptop/device, and voila. That is all you need to do. No software, no fiddling about. It is literally plug and play.
A very welcome piece of affordable kit that has saved me 100 on a new entry-level HD LED monitor, and given my eyes (and neck) a much-needed break from the laptop’s own screen.
Does exactly what it says.bworks with no issues. On a small monitor so can’t say if the pic quality is amazing but for our office machine at 1600 Res it’s crystal clear. Only downside is the 3.5mm sound output would have been a nice addition to have
If you only have an HDMI port on your laptop or computer and only have a VGA connector for your screen/projector etc, this is what you need. VGA is the big chunky one with screw-in pins and HDMI is the flat one – the connector will usually say HDMI on it.
I had to replace my laptop but did not want to replace my old second monitor. So I needed a converter from HDMI to VGA and this device works a great. my system still picks up what the monitor is which I admit was unexpected through the conversion. plug and play works great until I have to replace the second monitor.

I recently installed a graphics card in my pc as the on board graphics were not compatible with one program i have and need, also i have twin monitors so i needed an adapter from hdmi to vga, I had already bought two leads that were supposed to be able to use, needless to say they didn’t then i came across this one advertised on Amazon as an active adapter so i ordered it and it came next day on a sunday as well, i plugged it in and it worked straight away no problem at all and a good price to boot!. BTW you will need a vga cable to connect to it as well.
I have a new HP Probook laptop which is not too good on ports / sockets. It has an HDMI socket instead of VGA which means I cannot plug into the screen in most meeting rooms. This does the job nicely and enables me to take a VGA input and convert it to HDMI for the laptop.

Select display – change from “built-in-display” to “digital television” (your monitor may be titled something different
Resolution – change to “1440×900”
Refresh rate – change to “60p Hz”

Works fine after that. Product itself is cheap and cheerful and does exactly what it’s meant to so no complaints.
Worked straight out the bag. Speedy delivery. Used to connect my Sanyo Pro x SVGA to my pc , which now doesn’t have bag slot….so had to get the concert to hdmi. Easy. It works. I am happy with simple easy fix. Nb. I use separate speaker for sound.
The product is good quality and does the job as intended, should last a long time as well. It was a bit pricey, but I needed it quickly, so got it with Prime the next day.

It worked instantly. No hassles. Seems sturdy. Connected my old VGA projector to my new hdmi laptop with instant recognition. Nothing to install just works out the box
Overall it’s very simple to install. I deduct one 1 star as the adapter start to warm up after an hour long connectivity, which I was not expecting.
I eventually remembered Intel graphics settings (it’s probably on most Windows PCs; right click on the desktop and select “Graphics properties”) and found that (1) it was being recognised as a “digital television” and (2) the refresh rate was set to 59 Hz. I changed the refresh rate to 60 Hz and that got me a picture*. A pretty horrible (very dark) picture.
Delving into Intel graphics settings again I noticed that a not-very-obvious “Advanced” link that was disabled for my laptop screen was clickable for the monitor. There turned out to be just one “advanced” option (meaningless jumble of letters), the help link said “recommended for digital TVs” so I selected it. Result! Much brighter, sharper display. In fact, I haven’t seen this monitor looking this good before.
* 75 Hz also turned out to work but the laptop screen will only do 60 and it seems like asking a lot of it to run two different settings…

Used this product to convert a VGA to HDMI connection. Will work with more ‘modern’ drives but careful with older ones as you may not get the signal. Had this problem so ordered a direct cable but the adapter worked for my laptop to monitor conversion. May be best to use a direct cable VGA (computer tower) to HDMI (monitor) – if you have a problem with the adapter.

The product was easy to use once I’d found the right one. The picture of the product on-line was essential. I can now extend my screen to the TV.
Great – it converts digital HDMI video signals output from modern PC into an analogue signal required by VGA based computer displays. I used it to connect a new HP PC to an old Optoma EP721 projector. Worked very well (eventually) but not obvious how to set-up with Windows 10 “helping”.
Simple and straightforward, this device finally allowed me to connect my monitor to my computer in one simple step.
It works exactly as advertised, it looks good and the size is perfect (along with the perfect length of the cable).

Item was purchased to link a modern laptop to an older generation projector.
Although no instructions were provided it was simply a case of connecting the newly purchased adaptor to the projector lead and then plugging in to the HDMI output of the laptop.
However be sure to make sure that the HDMI plug is pressed fully home – the first time I attempted connection it didn’t work – pushing the HDMI plug home the last 1mm is crucial. Once that had been overcome press Func + F7 on the laptop to enable the extended display and all works well.
Picture quality isn’t brilliant but I suspect that is down to the old-generation projector itself and nothing to do with the adaptor.

Using this adapter on a VGA monitor from a HDMI graphics card from my desk top PC, this works really well, Picture quality in a big improvement from connecting VGA TO VGA. In the process of upgrading my PC with no VGA connection just HDMI from the PC this will save me having to replace monitor until later.
I purchased this so that I could use a larger monitor with my laptop which doesn’t have a VGA port. I plugged it in and the picture was there. My external monitor does not have speakers so I can not comment on the sound quality but the picture is good. I have to use the Control Panel of my windows machine to ensure the sound stays coming out of my laptop speakers which is easy enough once you know how.
Works well for my various Windows 8 and 10 machines. I have noticed though, that on devices with both HDMI and VGA outputs, the direct VGA-to-VGA route yields a slightly crisper picture. But in cases where the image isn’t being overly scrutinised (e.g. presentations) this product should work nicely.
I am using a second monitor which has only VGA. So from HDMI to VGA there are a few things to remember. I have a windows 10 HP all in one PC. Connect your adapter but being HDMI it will take over your sound. Disable this in your sound setting and make make sure you change the resolution if needed in your Graphic settings.
I wanted to briefly attach a monitor to a couple of Rasbperry Pis while setting them up as servers, and this connector meant I could just use an old monitor I had lying around rather than disturbing existing cabling, or spending a significant amount extra on the project. So now I have a useful tool for setting up other devices in future.
