Great piece of kit, except for the battery housing not being fully waterproof. I have sealed mine with masking tape, just to be on the safe side. Otherwise a real bargain for the price
Great for working in low light levels or in awkward places were you need both hands free, Slightly bulky but perfect for me.
Yet to use on a walk but all signs show as a good purchase.
Really bright, loads of settings, though I usually only use the main one and easy to use. Just click to scroll through the options…and not too heavy for my head. Lasts for a couple of long walks before I recharge (takes about 7/8 hours) but may last longer but don’t want to risk i
Great piece of kit and well thought out as it has flashing LED at the back for when you’re walking or cycling at night so great for having in rucksack for those times when the beer is hand pulled and you stay longer than you should; the front light is very bright and on flashing demands to be noticed the rear is adequate although the timid will not be reassured as I’ve only ever known accidents from the front this doesn’t concern me much, let’s face it if you being run over from behind your ride’s over on earth. So great light for walking and great emergency light for when it goes dark on your bike.
i donated mine to mum as i was no longer using mine and her 6th+ one n last 12 months had died on her. she uses them daily for work and leisure with her horses, so they can ALOT of use and abuse. My mum has told me several times how impressed she is by this one and i was happy with the price i paid, duration of battery, light settings, comfort/adjustment. she has offered to buy it from me several times and we’ve agreed it’ll be her early bday pressie, she’s that happy with i
So I now have two of these – the first failed after about 2 weeks of usage, one of the wires had come loose. I’ve opened it up and resoldered the wire which was tricky enough but it’s now working.
Nice and bright, I’m using it for 3 things, some DIY so I can see nice and clearly what I’m doing – the beam goes whichever way your head points – obviously. Also used to go to the garage later on at night. Lastly, part of my deterrent kit, I’ve got some coloured spray, an educator and this headset which will hopefully blind the intruder and leave my hands free to spray them with the red stuff and then educate them with a view to them not being able to climb over my fence or into my property ever again.
Get one and light up the fun………….
Great for walking or under the bonnet at night searching in a dark cupboard for whatever good bit of ki
Brilliant head torch if a collapsed sun on your forehead is what your after but be warned the battery isn’t even half the life that’s claimed on the advert. On the highest setting you’ll be lucky to get 3 hrs out of it.
First off, out if the box it loiks cheap. Minimal packing and only the batteries sealed. What a joy not to have heaps of plactic waste
As others have mentioned the charge port cover seems a poor fit. Actually it fits well, just need to put the front short edge in first.
Brightness is very good, on the lesser power left switch it will light up a room with a wide light. Perfect for camping and power cuts. The red lights are the best I have seen on a torch
The second switch in main is again very good, not the longest beam but good enough to illuminate 30 tonne silos right to the top at night. I had a much more expensive head torch before this and this is a much more efficient light
The battery case is light but large, its width may be a problem for some. In use I forgot it was there
The headstrap is huge, I have it almost at its smallest. I can see as it fits in the casing that this could be a weak point if not handled carefully
IPX5 is not totally waterproof so I protect it from heavy rain with a hat over battery hence it lost a star
I will update review if it has any problems long term
Battery compartment needs a clip to keep them in as I’ve lost one already
Superb brightness. Can illuminate a whole field with ease.
Battery life is usable, although not exceptionally good.
The rubber bung for the charger is rubbish and doesn’t stay in place, and the battery compartment seal likes to come out regularly.
Despite this, I’ve used it in drizzle and rain and not had any faults develop yet.
Worth a buy for a cheap tool.
