Hetty, Henry & the rest of the range are brilliant vacuums. Hetty looks so pretty but does a fantastic job. Suction is so good almost sticks to carpet!! Carpet or laminate the results are equally as great. Manoevrability is great, the vacuum moves with ease. I love this vacuum. Definitely Recommend. Great price & delivered the next day.

I have always used an upright.. this hoover was recommended for the type of carpet and flooring I’ve just had installed.. it’s a great little hoover .. suction power is great and it’s lightweight..

I used it mainly for the stairs as the extended tubes are ideal for stairs as with the upright cleaner had to take it up stairs each time

After struggling with an expensive well known brand of rechargeable vacuum for two years, spending more time clearing the machine than using it I finally gave up and ordered a Hetty. Straight away cleaner floors, a fantastic suction and useful tools. Highly recommended wish I’d bought it sooner.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLove my hetty! Of course she is part of the best durable/suction loving vacuum families! I would however LOVE if they could make them less heavy and easy to pull round corners! She gets stuck on corners or objects. Even though she’s lighter than her bro I wouldn’t call her ‘lightweight’ … if u want a lighter one go for the smaller one but has less dirt space so depends what you’re using it for. Other than that we all know this hover family is great she also come with an array of parts for 99 it’s a steal.

    Love her !

I previously have had a henry another superb hoover, but i now needed something a little bit lighter, so opted for pink hetty, still a great hoover, same wonderfull suction, can be used on carpet/hard/floors, cannot fault it, would recommend.

Wonderful.Had cheap bagless cleaner previously. This SO good. Compact to store. Bags last much longer than I anticipated. Also put up with son pinching it to clear up after carpentry. Highly recommend tools that come with it stay on back while cleaning not fall off. Long lead makes big difference. Bag east to change.

We have many of these hovers mostly Henrys as they work really well for suction units in the laboratory.
I brought the Hetty to use as a cleaner for the office as the office is a very small area. Tucks away lovely in the Kitchen unit (not Near water). The extension pole sits with the broom.
Could be good for those little flats that do not have too much storage space.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI love this hoover, this is the 3rd one I have purchased. Good value on amazon, great to get it delivered to the door and Hetty is significantly cheaper than Henry and is effectively the same hoover. While that is sexist, I appreciate hate the pink model for less money haha. Not too heavy, easy to remove the lid and change dust bags which last a long time. So many attachments with it so everything you could need for upholstery, tight spaces, furniture, floors and carpets. I have previously purchased the additional attachments set but to be honest, it is not needed you get plenty with this on its own. Comes with 2 dust bags to get you started. Well packaged and easy to unwrap and put together in under ten minutes. As with all pull along hoovers, she can get caught on the odd door or skirting but that’s to be expected. Simple to work if you have any issues and don’t want anything complex, its literally plug in, flick the light up switch to on/off, handle to rotate to swivel up the cord again, great for dexterity issues and lightweight too. Long cord, adjustable length handle and the carpet/floor is standard just a pedal with your foot to flick the brush on or off. All in all id recommend and they tend to last a long time before losing suction.

I am in complete awe of Hetty! She’s quick, efficient, reliable with a super strong suction ! By heck I love her! Best hoover on the market!

Always wanted one of these so bit the bullet and purchased Hetty. The amount of cheaper hoovers I’ve gone for (some with good reviews) Hetty is the best. She made my carpets look new. My only regret is not buying one years ago

This hoover was recommended by my son and I don’t know why I didn’t buy one sooner. I have always owned a vax but it broke down just after the warranty ran out, their customer services were awful. This little hoover is so quiet and the suction is the best I’ve tried. I really don’t care about the colour as it’s the best thing ever.

I both the Henry red hoover and the Hetty Pink hoover. I have the Henry for downstairs and cleaning the car, I do find the Henry red hoover a little heavy so bought Hetty to use and keep upstairs. Also Hetty is slightly smaller. Suction power is brilliant, comes with all attachments.
I originally bought the Henry Hetty range of hooves because in the past 4 years I’ve had 2 Dysons break on me and 1 Shark cordless. I have stepped away from upright hoovers, which are bagless and have cylinders, with filters to clean regularly. And switched to the more simple design Hoover with a bag and no filters or maintenance to keep on top of. It does the job it’s made for with and complaints.

Having had a few Dysons in recent years, the quality and build of my last one seemed to have gone down and finally gave up. I’ve been against vacuums with bags but decided to try this small Henry. Glad I did, great suction, easy to use and after several weeks I still have the original bag in which is easy to fit. Very happy.

Having used Dyson vacuums for years, I was convinced to try the Henry brand. I was attracted to Hetty 🙂 Really really pleased i made the move… Hetty is robust, great suction, easy to move around the house and stairs. The bags have large capacity. And I’m told these vacuums last forever. Compared to the other vacuum prices, this one is a no brainer.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy friends, bless ’em, realised years ago that vouchers are the best presents for me. So courtesy of my birthday Amazon vouchers I finally bit the bullet and ordered a Hetty. She arrived yesterday as promised and today has had her first outing. OMG she is the bees knees, cats pyjamas etc etc. Why did I wait so long to have her in my life.
She’s so lightweight I can carry her up and down stairs easily, I could probably do the stairs with her, and I only need to plug her in once on each level courtesy of her super long lead. She does twice or three times the job my old machines did in half the time, my rugs haven’t looked this good since they were new !!
Thank you to all the people who wrote glowing reviews and helped me to make my decision. I am a very happy bunny with old vacs to dispose of and a lot more time to spend on other things

Okay I’m old, and not nearly so fit as I was. Vacuuming with previous cleaners became a nightmare, and so I tried my husband’s workshop Henry. Just a tad too big for me to carry upstairs. Thought I was chancing it buying Hetty – not a huge amount of difference – but just enough. I am relieved and happy to announce that I’m back in business as a still reluctant but essential home hygienist! This is a tidy well equipped machine – gets really in about the places the upright skims past. Built to last, less plastic bits to fall off! It looks and definitely IS the business.

Brilliant hoover. Best I’ve ever had. Suction is unbelievable. Easy to pull along behind you. It’s not exactly lightweight, but i don’t care. I love it. I’d recommend buying an extra hose extension to do the stairs. Mine came yesterday. I’ve also bought the turbo brush aswel. All in all it’s fantastic don’t know how I managed before. I thought it was really cheap compared to other vacuums.

Hetty is a great hoover for our medium sized house tackling laminate tiles and carpet brilliantly with good reach and suction.
An added bonus was the spare bags which we haven’t needed to change yet!
The added tools are also a bonus.she does exactly the same as a Henry hoover but just on a smaller scale.
    I recommend Hetty

It is so durable it has the best suction I have even seen it’s versatile and is not to heavy to pull around the house the car any where you want to hoover. All in all great product great price and the hoover bags are also great value.

This has really good suction. It doesn’t just push large bits of dirt around like my broken Dyson V11 did. It is also really quiet. It’s nice not to have to empty the bin after vacuuming a few rooms. I wish I had saved myself over 2,000 in Dyson vacuums over the past 5 years and just purchased one of these. Unlike my previous 4 broken Dysons I’m sure this one will still have been running.

You cannot beat this hoover, forget all your fancy makes with built in brushes, this machine sucks and that’s what you want it to do. Nothing a problem for her. The long hose is brilliant for hoover cobwebs and hard to reach places.
I’ve recommended to all my friends, I’m finished with Dyson.
There is a reason why these hoovers are still going strong after all these years.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersHetty is a great hoover much like henry (or exactly like henry).
As ive owned a henry for a couple of years now i think i can safely review his pink counterpart (which was bought for my mother). She has a brilliant suction, sometime even too strong! But thats not a problem as you can turn it down. A super long cable length, so long ive never reached the end of its tether, it could be limitless? Its just a great all round hoover.
The only downside is its a heavy beast, as heavy as her brother id even say!

Personality wise, henry is full of vigor and will get the job done fast, often looking at a small watch (his christmas present) in order to beat his record.
Hetty will meticulously do the job without a care or even sense of time itself, she saunters round changing her attachments frequently.
She will do a slower, more thorough clean once a month, where as henry will maintain a level of clean with a fast hoover each week.

I really can’t understand why anyone needs to spend hundreds of pounds on a vacuum cleaner, this does a fabulous job and is so quiet, you can hold a conversation at normal volume when it’s working.

  50. CNET Commerce says:

At less than a third of the cost of a Dyson, this is our second Henry/Hetty. They are simple and deliver what is required and despite their bulk they are relatively easy to manoeuvre. After less than 18 months our Dyson frustratingly runs out of power after 8-10 minutes. Our Henry, conversely, has been in the family 7 years. I expect Hetty will not disappoint. In this case you don’t get what you pay for.

If you hose comes off. You hold the inner of the attachment firmly and re thread the hose back on. Apparently twisting and turning with use unscrews the hose gradually.!!

I am a professional cleaner and must have used nearly every hoover out there. These Hoover’s are excellent especially for stairs and carpet edges , you have to buy the air flow attachment as on some carpets the suction is too strong . I went for this size as it’s easier for me to carry abou

Top of the class. Eats into stubborn carpets – mine’s got more food on it than a menu. Seriously though, Het does the business with little effort. For those who have this and had a moan-up that the hose snaps on the unit – well behave because that’s down to common sense to not rag her about. Makes vacuuming less arduous and isn’t that what we all want?

  57. Anonymous says:

Nobody is telling lies! The suction is a bit extreme! Pity it can’t be adjusted! At least peace of mind carpets are clean but it does take arm work and standing on crutches after Hip Op doesn’t give accurate normal description. But I managed and perhaps when they’re ditched, it will become my best Hoover friend!!! Ps just bought the turbo recommended brush. NOW it’s the business!!!!

  58. nessel says:

When our old vacuum cleaner started playing up & not working so effectively, we borrowed a friend’s ‘Henry’ Hoover, & were amazed at the difference. It was like comparing a roller skate to a Ferrari – we just had to have one too!

We opted for Henry’s sister Hetty &, while it wasn’t exactly cheap, you get what you pay for in life, & this little lady is worth every penny.

It’s easy to maneuver & carry around the house, & the bags are easy to change out.
But the best thing is the actual suction – it’s extremely powerful & makes what was once a difficult hoovering job ten times easier.

I can’t recommend it enough – every home needs one of these!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have had the ‘Henry’ cleaner for going on 20 years and whilst it is starting to look worse for wear it still works perfectly. This one is slightly smaller and lighter – good for me as I have problems with heavy items – and the suction is brilliant. It actually picks the carpet up and there is a lot less of our 7 cats and 2 dogs on the carpet. Gone are the days of sitting on the floor gathering fur with a metal brush. Very pleased with it and the old one is now living upstairs so I don’t have to carry it around.

Had many Henrys before, both new and second hand and everyone seems to be consistently great. Sure you can get vacuum cleaners without cords, without bags, without wheels. And do you know what else they don’t have? Personality, charisma and charm. Henry and his crew have all these things in surplus. Seriously though its a great reliable vacuum cleaner and always has been.

  62. Anonymous says:

Suction very good but tends to lift any carpet that isn’t fixed to the floor. The only other criticism is that after the tubes have been assembled for use they keep parting company during vacuuming.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMany years ago, as a destitute student, I was given a secondhand Henry, he was super reliable but 2 years ago having grown up, bought a house, got married and had a child, I decided to treat myself to a new vacuum. I bought a very expensive cordless which has been less than impressive and last week it failed entirely.
So we needed a new vacuum again. I did a bit of looking about and then decided to go back to the Henry family. The small person of the house wanted input this time and opted for Hetty!
Hetty arrived on time, came with an impressive array of attachments, a spare bag and was ready to go within minutes of coming out of the box.
Brilliant suction. Simple to use. Fantastic cleaning. Hopefully Hetty will be as reliable as Henry was (he is still in use at my husband’s work!)

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI bought this to clean the car as our new 450 Dyson, whilst it was good in the house, had no decent attachments to get in all the fiddly bits. The suction is so great you can feel it pulling the carpet up and the rectangular small brush has stiff bristles that are perfect for inside my car. Honestly, this vacuum is amazing and the inside of the car was cleaner that it’s been in ages in a fraction of the time. I bought Hetty as Amazon Warehouse had a returned one that was 72 and at that price you cannot go wrong. Even though Amazon described it as being in acceptable condition it looked completely new to me apart from the box being a bit damaged. Spot on.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersHaving reluctantly gone from a dyson (used dyson for 20plus years) to the Hetty, I can honestly say I’m really pleased. I’ve left the review a while to see if it really is any good and after 2 months I’m happy to say this: It’s just as manoeuvrable, much lighter to use on stairs and the suction is as good if not better. Comes with similar tools to the dyson. Only major difference is the price, and that it’s bagged but I now don’t have the mucky transparent collecting bin… the bags aren’t over priced so for me, it was a great purchase. Seems to do a better job in my car too.
My one and only thing that I dislike is that it doesn’t stow away as neatly as the dyson but I do have space to keep it, but if you’re looking for something to stow away small and compact, the hetty doesn’t do that – for me everything outweighs this. It could do if you remove the pipe and take it apart – easily done.
    Great product.

Had an old Henry that finally died. This model had upgraded features that fixed everything that personally annoyed me about the old Henry. It is much quieter. The tank is smaller and lighter. They’ve added mesh over the suction pressure valve on the pipe. You can still pull up the carpet with the suction on the highest level–no loss of pluck. A solid product, plus all of my old Henry attachments fit the new Hetty just fine. My husband is a big Henry fan and he loves our new Hetty.

I had a shark (pet) Hoover, I went on reviews and from day 1 I thought it was over rated…compact and all the parts but suction was naff…motor would overheat and cut out so found myself looking for new Hoover. My daughter uses this range at work (student vet nurse) so I went for it. I am amazed!! My stair carpet looks new and revived the suction is brilliant it is a bit awkward to lug about on the stairs but end result is worth it. I could see the lino in my bathroom lifting with the suction. Highly recommend as I never do reviews but am so pleased with it…buy it you wont regret it.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI love Hetty. She’s a powerful little vacuum cleaner. Gets things out of my long pile rug that I didn’t know were there (especially Barbie shoes and kinetic sand) and gets up cat fur easily. I am still on the first bag about 9 months later, she has quite an appetite and capacity. Quiet, powerful and compact but I have to say she’s quite a weight. Not sure if I should worry that I talk about her like she is a member of the family or not though!

Only thing i dislike about it, is the steel and plastic connections on the tubes. They need to be shuffed together really hard to stay put.
I earlier ruined another vacuum cleaner (a Nilfisk) by cleaning up after at building project with it.
This one can take the fine dust, and a lot of it, before loosing power, and nothing goes through. I bought a big pack of bags with it, and I realise I have bags for maybe 10 years, as they are so big. And I don’t doubt the cleaner itself will last that long.

Nice hoover compact, easy to move around and holds a lot.. need to purchase additional bags as only comes with one additional bag to the one already inside..the handle tends to swivel on the pipe that detaches for doing edges etc which can be a bit annoying but overall a good buy and has a strong suction! Works well on both my laminate and carpe

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve had my fill of bagless hoovers and returned no fewer than 3 to my local store for lack of suction after only a few weeks!

Then I remembered Henry! In fact, I purchased Hettie as she was on offer and I can confirm she has more suction than a Dyson and Shark combined.

Bagless is useless. Long live the Henry/Hetty range!!

Superior hoover. Very durable, you simple cant destroy it. My wife works as s housekeeper in a very busy hotel and she said buy this type of hoover because they tried already like 5-7 different type and brand hoovers and they and up using Henry or Hetty. This model got a little less performance than Henry but still got a very strong suction.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was worried that this Hetty would not be as powerful as our older 1200 W version but I was totally amazed. The airbrush head that we use with it spins faster than the older version! So we are very happy and it arrived very quickly from the UK To Hungary in under two days. It’s slightly smaller than the older ones but for us perfect.

Golden Review Award: 83 From Our UsersOverall, I’m very pleased with the cleaner. I can clean the floors in a fraction of the time it took with my (very) old upright and it trundles around obediently behind me BUT (and yes, it’s a big ‘but’) I had to buy an airo turbo brush before I could use it. When I tried it on my carpets with the head/brush supplied, I could barely move it. It stuck to the carpet like glue because the suction was so strong. It was fine on the laminate floors and vinyl, but impossible to shift on carpet – and I’m no weakling. A little research told me that the airo turbo brush would solve the problem, which it did – but it really ought to be supplied as a standard attachment. Having said all that, it’s a brilliant little thing – easy to use, efficient and quiet – which is particularly appreciated by my very nervous dog. The Hoover terrified him, but Hetty only seems to intrigue him …

I love this hoover! I have always been a dyson fan but our current house is larger and the fusion just struggled to keep up. We went through 2 dysons kn 12m but the Hetty is far better, the suction is better, she copes well when we do work on the house. And I can do the whole house in one go without having to change the bag in like the dyson!

    Huge fan!

Golden Review Award: 48 From Our UsersGood powerful suction. Hetty 160 is slight smaller than Henry 200 series. Hetty 160 vacuum hose is about 12 inches shorter than Henry 200 series. I have included picture of the Hetty 160 next to Henry 200. Other than the physical dimensions, i must say that the motor is really efficient. Large dust bag is a plus, once it is full, simply take the bag out and dispose. No mess. I really hate the bagless vacuum as you always end up with dust in your face when emptying them, no matter how careful you are. I hope Numatic will not cheap out on critical parts in order to keep up with the inflations. Do not mind paying extra for good quality vacuum.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBrilliant little hoover. Very powerful and so easy to use. I got fed up of my Dyson stick one, spent more time un clogging and recharging it than using it and was unimpressed with suction. . I have previously had the green George Hoover model in the past, and that was by far best Hoover l had ever used, and l had it for many years, and am more than happy with my new Hetty. I have mostly hardwood and tiled floors and carpet on stairs and landing, it works very well on all three surfaces. I’ m not bothered by fact l have to empty bag, as this type of Hoover is far superior, in my opinion, to bag less vacuum l had previously. Much more practical for family home, and picks up cat hairs really well.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAfter years of breaking hoovers sucking up unknowns (i am visually impaired) this wonderful little machine had lifted the pile on all my 15+ year old carpets & finally found a hoover i can rely on. Only down side is static shocks when i touch the metal part of the hose so hold it by the top plastic part.

I have two large dogs and need a really good vacuum cleaner. I have been through a Miele and a Dyson. After doing research and borrowing a friends Henry I found a good deal on the Hetty. Absolutely brilliant! Far far exceeds both the Dyson ( where most of my time was spent trying to unblock it) and Miele which frankly was useless and burnt out after a year . I would recommend the Hetty 100%. Hoovering has now become a quick, efficient little job rather than a laborious dreaded chore.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI love my new hetty.. after 20 years of always buying the latest technology in vacuum cleaners and always being disappointed i opted for a low tech solution. What can i say .. it is compact but with a massive bag .. the suction is amazing .. you see the carpet lift up and it has a very long cable. A super product.

Golden Review Award: 91 From Our UsersWhy I haven’t bought this hover before I do not know!!! I always wanted a hetty so when she was on sale I needed her in my life, I was sick of buying hovers that work for a week and lose power! Hetty is the best hover ever, the power of this is great ( I didn’t realise how much hair was on my carpets) picks up everything! It is very quite and lightweight so can get up and down my stairs easy, she also has extras to clean the full house, let’s say my house is now hair and dust free!! I love it, can tell she will last a long time and is now part of family 🙂 my 7 year old can use it easy

I have two Henry vacuum cleaners and bought this for my son. They are without doubt the best vacuum cleaners I have ever had. They are reliable (I have had my elder Henry for 4 years) and super convenient with a longer hose and cord than most vacuum cleaners. The bags, spare parts etc are much more reasonable priced than any other make I know of.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersLoved my old hetty who died sadly last week after around 8 years of good use! Including 3 years of dealing with dog hair! Whilst this one is more compact it is just as powerful if not more. Almost too powerful, I’d say. I preferred the old one which had 2 power settings. This one is pulling the carpet up almost!
I do love the addition of the attachment storage though as I was always misplacing them.

Golden Review Award: 89 From Our UsersBought this to replace our Henry who died at the weekend after doing sterling service for over 10 years. Initially was going to get a replacement Henry and I’d always thought Hetty was exactly the same but pink. But this Hetty is new and smaller than Henry. The only downsides to Henry over the years has been the bulk and weight. The kids have used this as an excuse to not do the hoovering! Ha.

Differences from the old Henry are the size and weight; the main floor attachment has been redesigned and is more manoeuvrable; the wand can be affixed to the back in an upright position making it less of a problem to store; there are similar places for other attachments; there’s no high-low switch but you don’t really need one.

Things that have not changed: the suction is still seriously impressive (possibly stronger than old Henry despite having a lower powered motor), the same long cord to allow you to clean the house without have to unplug and re-plug.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBy far the best Hoover! Had many hoovers over the years but you simply can not beat Henry or for a small compact model hetty! I absolutely love her! No more bag less mess and dust, no more lost suction having to spend time trying to work out why. This Hoover is so powerful and way to use. Great for pet hair and because it’s so powerful you know your carpets are given a depp clea

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersThis is my first Henry Hoover, I have Hetty, she’s great, bought it to replace several up light bag less hovers that were just too lacking in power, fed up with them and thought I’d go for a more practical Hoover, she’s surprisingly quiet, very easy to manoeuvre, easy to use and replace bags, I can plug in and do many rooms before changing plug in position, great long lead, great long hose, I’m delighted, it’s harder work pushing one like this as opposed to a bag less but the bag less were all pathetic and this has got stamina nd strength, couldn’t be happier.
