Bought cheaper saying that vacuum was new but the box was slightly damaged but when I unboxed it, vacuum was deeply scratched.
Sucking is great, the best vacuum I ever had for sure. It do great work with the pro kit for 30 pounds.
Haven’t checked washing yet. I hope it will not be disappointing.
I’ve tried other wet vacs, but I have come back to these as they can’t be beaten for price and longevity
George is the ultimate hoover. Get the pet accessories and hair will be a problem of the past. Also useful treatment for the poor carpets suffering from cat vomit! Would recommend
This is the 2nd one I’ve bought last one was in 2016 and it’s worked exceptionally hard. In fact now the new ones arrived I’ve used the dry kit supplied on the old one and the new one I just use for wet. Love these they come with all the bits you need and are easy to use but more importantly, they work and work well. The suction gets water out well and the water is pumped so has a good squirt. I would recommend without hesitation.
Another winner from the Henry stable, would definitely recommend to anyone.
Well over 40 years just baught my third George machine and the new one has some great new features and easy to use. Modified hose and better connection.
Much heavier than a standard henry. The thin hose for the water spray stretches so much that it has popped off the bottom and won’t go back on. Good idea for a dual purpose hoover but not great as the water dispenser tube is not quite long enough.
Nothing to dislike… My carpets have come up a treat… So pleased with it…

Suck remains of water out of HOT TUB every 3 months for cleaning only small amounts..
Main use it is needed for is to be a quality product and is used mostly for cleaning stains from village hall carpets after parties coffee, cream cakes ketchup as well as dark sauces etc:

All of the hoover side is working amazing. I have had a george before in my old house so knew what to expect but have only jyst tryed the wet vac today and little black rubber tube you need to connect to wet vac is to small. I am dissapointed as the price it is i expect it to all be in working order. If i had ordered it off the propper company it would of all fitted i only had to use amazon because i needed it ASAP

If I’d reviewed this when I first bought it he wouldn’t have got 5 stars because it takes some getting used to how heavy he can be and the lack of wire wind up storage like his little brother Henry is somewhat annoying, but he more than makes up for these small flaws when you see just how clean your floors are after using him. The cord is so long that cleaning the car is an absolute breeze. We’ve also been able to save money on a furniture cleaner ’cause he also converts into a carpet and furniture cleaner pretty easily!
The only other thing I’d mention is the carpet nozzle doesn’t have anything to agitate the carpet whilst your cleaning so if you need a deep carpet clean I’d still look into a carpet cleaner. He still does a decent job on spot cleaning and being able to scrub the kitchen tiles just rounds off the whole package doesn’t it! Floors have never been so clean!
I like that it does both wet and dry vacuum pretty well. What I don’t like is how the dry vacuum keeps cutting off after a few minutes of working.

I was looking for something to replace the carpet cleaner and hard floor hoover. This does it all. It’s a little heavier than most cleaners but it has 3 times the cleaning power than anything I’ve tried before. And it’s reliable. I’ve had bissel and vax cleaners before and they break after a few months. It’s a little more bulkier than some cleaners and takes time to set up between vacuum and wet clean but it’s worth that extra time because it really does make everything look brand new!

Can’t fault George, except it came with a split in water hose didn’t notice till it soaked carpet, had to rapair so I could finish what I started. Amazon told me to call numatic they said its amazon’s problem amazon waned me to return whole item, I only need replacement hose. Don’t need the hassle. Still I recommend this item did a good job on my armchair and carpets
This is a very good vacuum cleaner but as with all Henry type cleaners it’s one major fault is that it falls over frequently.
Bought as a gift but my son seemed very pleased with the machine and how it worked
i had a henry for years then wife wanted a shampooer was going with the new vax but seen George and as i already had the extra heads for henry i went for this it does both well i will leave carpets a bit wet but if left they dry fine all shampooer leave carpets wet so don’t be fooled by others telling you the dry quicker
this has only one fault having to change from wet to dry where as the vax i looked at was two machine and more than double the price of this so its up to you but this works well enough and you can get other heads for even more suction although what comes with it does a good job
he best wet and dry cleaner … i valet cars i use to use bissel spot cleaner but for me it dident have eough suction and the tanks wasent big eough so i look in to numatic with doing my home work on george with its tank size and power its worth its wight in gold with it being wet and dry changing it over in minutes its awesome

Theses always seem expensive, but from experience well worth the money.
Absolutely superb cleaner. Accessories are perfect for sofas with non-removable covers and spot’s where my cat has been naughty. Build quality is excellent as expected (I’ve had a Henry vac for years and years).
My first contact with a Numatic product was a Henry I used in a pet store to clean up all sorts (hay, straw, wood chip etc, etc) that I used to work in 30 years ago, that’s why I bought my Numatic vacuum cleaner. Their products as just as bullet proof today as all those years ago. Most Impressed.
I should never have bothered with another brand and just gone Numatic as soon as I needed a carpet washer.
George is amazing, he sucks, spits and swallows like a pro! One downside would be the transition from dry swallowing to wet swallowing and spitting. Takes about 4 minutes to do the transition, I actually bought a second hose to make it less effort. Also a little annoying that you have to store all of the parts.
All the cons asside though this guy is outstanding, carpets are clean and fresh and he has a big grin on his face
Works very well, although the small head is rather large / long when trying to clean in tight areas. Great for cleaning carpet but only OK on hard floors.
I’ve used it to wash carpets and it has given amazing results. It comes with lots of attachments and fixings for various other purposes (car, upholstery, etc) and also has fittings for dry vacuum (which I’ve not tested).
Great power in vacuum mode and the ability to switch to wet dry cleaning and detailing use for carpets hard floors and car valeting in one body is super convenient. Shame the power cord doesn’t store away neatly but is of good quality and length so you’ve got plenty of range moving between rooms without needing to unplug whilst moving about. Clearly built for light industrial use so should be able to take a beating. Warranty is good to. Very pleased to finally get my hands on one.

Yes it’s not as easy as pushing a upright carpet cleaner around, but as they say if you want good results you have to put the effort in.
That being said, it’s not hard work really.. I do suffer with a bad back and although being slightly hunched over was a little uncomfortable, for the sake of cleaning one carpet with AMAZING results was worth taking the ibuprofen… if I was to clean carpets every day this would be the machine!

To my disappointment the ball float was missing so I couldn’t wet clean my carpet, but the dry part worked fine. If this ever happens to you, or you have a missing part, then I wouldn’t bother contacting the manufacturer as they say it’s Amazon’s job to sort it. Weird, right? They make them/package and I had to go back to Amazon. The part was hard to get so amazon had to send me another George hoover for me to then take the filter/ball part out and replace it with the one I have and send it back. The George was GREAT when I finally got to sort my carpets. Quite an expensive item but will hopefully last a good couple of years.
Wanted an every day cleaner which could also wash carpets and clean spills.. because kids….

It was a hard decision to send George back but I’m afraid I had to because he was just too heavy for me. I’m 71 and 10 years ago I would have embraced him and made him a part of our family. He does everything asked of him very well. I now have 2 Henrys for up and downstairs and am delighted with them. I will have to pay a company to clean my carpets.
Can’t fault this, our second one, first one lasted 5 years cleaning 20 vans a week, never let us dow

Brilliant hoover, does everything it says it should.
Best Buy however need to sort their act out! Hoover arrived without any accessories, contacted seller who implied I was either lying or not looking hard enough through the empty box to find them. Each reply took them 48 hours so a month went by as they suggested I looked a little harder and send photos.
They promised they had sent them and when I asked a week later they said I had to send serial numbers so the factory could check their video of the production line(?!). I only got a return confirmed by issuing a case through Amazon (who were great!)
In the meantime I contacted Henry’s direct who sent me the missing parts within 2 days.

Its simple, no rotating brushes or anything to beat your carpet, no driving motors etc.
But because its simple there is so little to go wrong with it, no brushes or wheels to get tangled with hairs and its wonderfully easy to clean.
Above all, it is effective on both carpets and hard tiles, and of course you can use it as a normally dry or wet vacuum cleaner as well.
It may require a bit more phyical effort than some of the dedicated carpet cleaners but it does a great job, and of course there is that cute smile 🙂

I had used one of these before purchasing this one which is why I decided to buy one. I’ve always used a Henry vacuum so I know the quality of their products are good and reliable and I didn’t hesitate to buy the George also.
I love how you get so many different tools for different surfaces and jobs. Compared to other floor cleaners I’ve used before this has got to be one of the best. You can see how much dirt you’re picking up from your carpets/upholstery etc and it still amazes me just how much it actually picks up. Knowing you are getting a good result makes me feel so much happier. It’s a powerful little thing and does the job extremely well. Would recommend to anyone thinking of getting one. It’s definitely worth the price tag.

Used many Henry hoovers but we fell out,took on George and he’s amazing.
This is a fantastic bit of kit if you love cleaning car interiors. Perfect for keeping my cars lovely inside. Seats and carpets are looking fab. The design of the carpet sprayer liquid feed is far better being on the outside of the main tube and is an improvement over the previous model I had years ago. I’m very happy.
Great hoover this is my second one. I broke the last one sucking up dirty water and not drying it out. The new dry dust bags are good but a zip in them to empty easier would have been better. You can get more than a few changes out of one heppa bag.
The George hoover is brilliant, it has a great suction ,and is very versatile, it is a very good carpet cleaner as well, had one years ago that’s why I have gone back to a goerge wet and dry.

Got this for the car mainly but it’s starting to be used as a house decon once a month having 2 dogs the daylily hoover just is not enough some times. Very easy to use the tools could be better as the look like there 100 years old but you know that as they have never changed

It’s Hoover part is sooo strong, it washes and retracts all the water and voila in 30-45mins you have a clean dry carpet!
Superb little wet vac. Used for the car and home carpets and upholstery does the job brilliantly well. Suction is superb for a little vac. Well built by a British company.
Althought it is heavy and has many parts, and I am petite and mostly lazy, no other instrument I’ve used before for cleaning had done a better job.
Thus, if you have a big house with carpeted floors, I definitely recommend you to get a George.

It’s more powerful than a Henry which it great. The carpet washing is good 4/5 but the upholstery cleaning is a solid 5/5. I bought the pet turbo kit to go with, now its almost perfect. Only complaint, no cord storage.
I was expecting a robust machine able to handle dry and wet cleaning. I’ve got it.
Made my carpets look cleaner. Lots of dirt came out. Good on both my rugs too. I belive its worth the money, especially if yiu have pets or light coloured carpets.
Only comment is that IF you are slightly confused by the Visual Instructions then visit You Tube for some really useful first hand tips and instructions. (ibaisaic) is one port of call.
The narrow pipe that takes the cleaning/water to the vacuum head is too short and comes off under tensio

Purchased to replace a Pet Vax that had worked and served me well for over 15 years. Concerns about the lower power advertised compared to my old vax, but concerns soon cast to one side. Boy can George suck and saved the day after the vax blew up half way through cleaning the carpets. Amazon delivered within two days, recleaned the carpets and impressed. All the tools included to do the job well, and two hoses one for water and one for dry, so unlike the vax you don’t have to wait until the pipe has been cleaned and dried before reusing. A few dry bags are included together with a bottle of carpet cleaning fluid which should keep me going for a year or more. Well made not much more I can add – just keep the cat away from the pipe when on unless you want to suck up your furry friends…

Excellent for hovering. Doesn’t have retractable lead, but assume this is due to the space for the cleaning section. Wouldn’t recommend to use as a full carpet cleaner. Yet to use on any spills so no comment. Easy enough to use but can be a bit fiddly.

If u want a hover to last this is for you it’s heavy but worth the effort to carry with its clean performance tiny bit of messing around but keeps dry house dry save use same house makes life better and saves on wet bags

George is great at carpet cleaning and wet and dry vacuum cleaning. I renovate property and this is the must have piece of equipment. Great value, well made and loads of tools for any job. Buy one!
Big advantage of buying this was that the hat containing the motor also fits onto the Charles’ remaining corpse, so instead of tediously having to dry out the thing after a wet clean before you can do a dry clean (which can take a few days depending on weather), you just transfer the hat over immediately. We also now have two sets of attachments and hose pipes etc, which is handy.
For mopping floors, I’m really not sure if the ability to spray solution over the Charles model is worth all the extra money. Just use a mop to wet the floor, use the Charles to suck. However, this George model can also do wet cleans of car seats and carpets. We don’t have any carpets in our house, but the car seat clean looks very interesting, given our kids have stained several seats and even a “deep clean” valet hasn’t lifted those.
In terms of bad news, it looks like Nuance are fitting ever cheaper and lower quality motors to their range. If your head is just outside the exhaust vent of this model, it smells slightly of electrics burning just as the Charles used to, so I think the motor is manufactured to fail early. I dropped my Amazon review of the Charles from five to three stars because of its early death. Nuance, if you’re reading this, please consider TEN YEARS as a minimum acceptable lifespan for a 300 or even 200 hoover. FIVE YEARS is not acceptable, I can get a cheap 20 hoover from Aldi that lasts longer!
If this George model also dies before eight years old, I’ll return here to drop the review score again. Here’s hoping my previous Charles was just a dud model.
Original item had not been received so replacement sent without any hassle and is very good, but the original then arrived a month late and box it was received in was already opened when it arrived. This has been returned and awaiting refund of 39.93 postage cost.

I bought this primarily to shampoo my carpets but it is also a very powerful vacuum cleaner. My one complaint is that the instructions are in pictogram form, and considering George can be tricky to switch between wet and dry modes, it would be much better if there were written instructions to compliment the drawings.
It’s a great vacuum and a good carpet cleaner. Having said that the water hose wasn’t long enough and it kept pinging off. Not a huge problem cus I can just take a section of the suction pipe off.

Keeps stopping and is not working properly. Keeps making sounds I am not happy with this purchase. I can’t manage to contact the sender either so if the sender can help me with returning it please as I have thrown away the box for it…
I have used George to deep clean vehicle interior carpets and seats aswell as a sofa and carpets at home – took out the stains without any problems. A little bit expensive but you get what you pay for, replacment parts easily available shall something fail although you can expect years of use if cared for properly.
Superb value for money. Recently added this to my arsenal of automotive detailing tools to use for wet vac extraction and it does the job brilliantly.
Probably better than I expected, pulled up most of the stains and dark patches on the first go, carpet feels lighter and looks much cleaner.
Have used a VAX in the past and I prefer this as you have more control over the cleaning area and if using the small attachment you can get some good brute force behind it and get into those deep stains.
I guess only downside is I am not sure where I am going to store all the attachments. Will convert to standard hoover now and probably keep all the bits in the garage. Any questions, let me know.
Dry – great suction power. Got up all my little dog hairs and easy to manuver around the house and get in the little places. Easy to move up the stairs with the long hose as well.
Wet – I decided to clean my rug thats never been cleaned. I went over it a few times and got into a rhythm of spraying and scrubbing. The dirt that came came up was gross. It is not overly powerful for the water part. It sprays a thin layer on the carpet and its your job to scrub it.
I guess it depends on how thick your carpet is.
Over all worth spending the extra money.
We have in the past used Vax which was just awful (appreciate it probably was an older product and that newer models may have provided better results) and we have used Bissell. The Bissell in my opinion was better, but i didnt like the idea of storing some large upright standing vaccum for the odd occasion, and have a traditional dry vaccum.
We originally looked at the Bissell SpotClean Pro, but again the downside is that it is specifically a wet vaccum only, and at 149.99 there isnt that much price difference between The Bissell and Henry George but you also gain the dry function.
Now i have a bit of a hoover/vaccum obsession.
In my laymans thinking way, a hoover should by design be able to hoover anything that you want it to hoover up (within reason, water being the obvious product that cannot be generally hoovered up) and over the past few years of home ownership (6 years) we have had 2 Vax’s and 3 Dysons. 2of the Dysons are still operational and in the house, but dont get used. 1 is the cinetic big ball, and its way too cumbersome and heavy, and oddly even with suction reduction, doesnt hoover our carpets, its impossible. And the other is a V6 Animal cordless hoover which after 3 minute of hoovering needs to be emptied, or over a year of use the battery gives up and a replacement needed.
I was advised by a friend to buy a Henry because A. They have fantastic suction B. It hoovers up everything from dirt and dog hair, to rubble and plaster, and C. they are cheap and are easy to get spare parts for and will generally last years. I always turned my nose up at the Henry range, thinking a cheap vaccum that has a power cord couldnt be better than a 300 dyson cordless hoover. I took the plunge and bought a Henry Hoover to help with some rubble and plaster dust from a bathroom refit we were doing. I was amazed. They are fantastic.
They are by my own admission a no frills plastic tub hoover with a small motor, a smiley face and some attachements with a Hepaflo Bag. But my god is it useful, and for the price, no complaints. To this day i have hoovered anything i wanted, Sawdust, Plaster, Rubble, Dirt, Dust etc and it never gets blocked. When the suction gets a bit weak (your bag is full) change the bag and bang, full power again.
By this experience i decided to get another Henry product.
This is where the George came in. With the lockdown and issues happening globally around the virus that prevents our normality, we have cancelled our travel plans, and as most people are doing, we decided to focus on making our home look and feel a little less tired. Painting, decorating and making our garden resemble something off of Love Island (the wifes idea). And i decided i wanted something that would clean our cars, and carpets and provide us with good clean results and something i knew would last for further occasions in the future.
So we bought the George.
I once again was not disappointed. Powerful, more so than our dry hoover, comes with all the necessary well designed and thought out attachements for all applications.
I finished my carpet stairs and our sons bedroom with the wet function, and to my surprise was amazed with how much dirt it collects. It simply just works, No frills, No over complications and easy instructions.
I havent tried the dry use function of it yet, however if my little 620W Henry impresses me, i cant see how the 1060W George will not do the same.
My only critisim, and it is minor. But with a Henry, you can tidy the cable away within the motor housing, it simply hand turn winds back in. But with the George the cable is all loose, and there is a fair amount of it.
There is a hook on the back for you to hang a looped cable over, but this to me just seems a little messy and i would have preferred Numatic to have built this with two hooks so you could wrap around both for a tidy way of securing your cable to the machine. As it happens we have used Reusable cable ties to limit how much cable is being used for easier tidying away.
Aside from this, i love it, such a great tool for wet and dry use, and in my experience of the wet use, it couldn’t be easier and makes carpets feel and smell fresher.
As we already have a henry for the house, this will now be a Vaccum for the car and wet use on anything else.
There are plenty of useful Youtube videos online showing the applications of this Vaccum, and i honestly thing it was worth the price we paid.
9/10 – i would rate higher, but i dont like the cable design.
