Very pleased with the Hive 360! Expanding my Hive system so felt it would be useful. The only problem was transferring over from the previous Hive Hub – didn’t make it clear to Hive what I wanted to do when I spoke to Hive and had to set everything up again… Advice would be to make sure all devices are transferred before disconnecting the old device.
I’ve given this 4 stars because it’s worked perfectly for me so far, albeit I just have the thermostat connected to it and no other devices. I don’t really understand why it still 100, it’s quite over priced.
One thing to note is, I never really have issues with setting tech up but this I just couldn’t get set up. However the Hive support were excellent and set it up for me remotely.
Definitely a better product and has a better range for a larger house. However I did have to ring the technical support to help set it up as it was stuck on the loop of transferring data but once that has Resolved it’s working without fault.
I’m compelled to write this review to add my own experience setting up the Hub 360 alongside those from others. In short, it’s an absolute nightmare to get it working with the rest of your system and a minefield of issues waiting to happen.
I’m happy to say I do now have everything up and running and it’s nice to have the additional functionality. It would just be a lot nicer if getting there wasn’t such a hassle.
Initially would not set up at all so had to do a factory reset. All was then ok until I needed to discover the other Hive products (only have a thermostat) I have. No luck what so ever. Phoned Hive & a very nice lady walked me through the connection process & total success. All now seems ok, so will report in a month or so.
Nice bit of kit, well made and not unattractive at all. The wife actually thought it looked ok on the telephone table.
The instructions are very poor, its best doing a but of research on the net as some kindly souls have posted some very useful information.
When I read some of the reviews I thought this might be a nightmare to setup as it was an upgrade to an existing Hive. I tried a couple of times to do it on my own with no success, then went to the live chat from the phone app. If you follow the instruction it is not hard to set up and the guy on Chat registered the 360 Hub to replace the existing one. Once it was up and running I have had no problems with it but the instruction didn’t explain that you need to register the new hub and remove your old one so I’d suggest setting it up with the online help.
A bit of a pain to set up, which was due to upgrading from the old hub. British Gas had to change settings at their end, which would have been good to know, before I wasted ages. Once set up, it works a dream, much better than my old hub.
I have two of these hubs running in two houses and they are easy to set up I installed my first hive system over four years ago and it controls my heating lighting and pond pump I recently updated the hub to the 360 and that works well I installed my second hive about a month ago with the hub 360 and I am more than happy with i
Easy to set up via app, took about 30 minutes. There were tines though I wondered if the set up was working as it took quite a while, with only coloured lighting indicating progress.
I am very frustrated and unhappy with this product. My first Hive Hub 360 kept losing connection so I spoke to the support team who dispatched a replacement hub. There is no proper automated process for installing a replacement Hub 360 and I therefore had to manually re-install every switch, light and sensor by hand – this penalises loyal customers who have bought in heavily to Hive products. The support team advised that all groups, routines etc. would also need to be manually re-created because they reside on the Hub and not in the Cloud – they are not even backed up! The second Hub 360 has not resolved the connection problem and I have had to resort to connecting the Hub 360 to a TP-Link wi-fi plug so that I can re-boot and connect the Hub remotely.
Note – after several discussions with Hive support the connectivity problem was resolved with a firmware update. The hub is now functioning well and an improvement over previous versions. I have upped my rating accordingly.
Does all that is says it does, been in Spain recently and had workmen in doing jobs. I knew when they started and when they finished. I did also purchase door and room sensors.
galaxy note 4 phones fail on bluetooth setup, so find someone with an apple phone.once the bluetooth setup is complete it’s all wifi then and no ethernet cable needed like the gastly looking original white hub. Also to connect the thermostat hive staff said push the and hold the button on the hive controller till it flashes then remove a battery from the thermostat and then insert back in.this action reboots both and means the hive 360 hub finds the signal.hope this helps.the hive app is terrible in regard i couldn’t use my galaxy note 4 android phone so there play store and hive tech team need to update the app so it will work for all androids. It is a new hub though being only 6 months old.Works great with hive colour bulbs which are 25 on wickes at mo.These hubs have system memory should the power fail so again one up on the original hive white hub.
UPDATE: Thought I’d check back in on this review seeing all the negative reviews. Had the black Hub 360 5 months now and not had one issue with it. I live in a flat and situate the hub on a window sill behind a curtain out the way and plug it into a normal plug socket (which I have upgraded to a 3 pin and 2 x 5v USB combo stainless steel socket). The bluetooth reaches right round a 2 bed flat even with doors shut to all my Hive colour bulbs. I did buy a booster but don’t think it was needed but I keep that in far side of the flat in case plugged in. Only issue I have had is with one of the bulbs but Hive syaff were able to access it remotely to factory reset and all is good again. Great to be able to control the cental heating and Colour bulbs either via mobile data or wifi and set scedules and change the bulb colours as per my mood. Dark blue on 1% dim setting on one of the bulbs is great as a night light if you want to leave it on ect. Recommend Hive thermostat,Colour Bulbs and Hub 360.
Bought this to replace previous hub that needed to be connected to my router and I needed the additional port. Set up via the App was pretty simple but you have to leave the old one plugged in while you do it and it took about twenty minutes to transfer all of the data across. I tested my smoke alarm next to it and initially didn’t get any alerts but tried again today and it worked so seems to have sorted itself out. Seems to work as reliably as the old one so far.
Once set up these work brilliantly and allow for complete control

Be careful ful of rear power connector! – be gentle! This replaced one that I broke

First one did not work returned free one sent back all works now

Great product but had difficulty setting it up and Im no novice at this sort of thing
Worked out of the box after a lot of help from Hive support. The upgrade from Hive Nano requires careful sequencing.

This was a gift for my son, he reviews items he want before buying, so I know this to be good
