The Holystone HS720G in my opinion surpasses drones well over double the price an more. High quality materials have been used, the specification are very good and the drone plus accessories also come with a carry case second to none. Its certainly worth taking the time familiarising ones self with how to fly and maintain a drone correctly, many users seem to fall short of this and blame some drones where often it user error at fault. Holystone appears to have a good customer service which is essential although I have not had the need to use them personally. From a UK perspective make sure you pass the operators/user tests set by the CAA to obtain the correct licenses which is easy and straight forward to obtain.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Holystone HS720G is excellent 😁

My wife and daughter gave me this drone for Xmas and with the weather finally improving I’ve now been able to get started. I found it quite easy to use and had it flying in no time. The card overlay for the remote is great, one side gives a reminder of take-off preparation and the other side a guide to the in-flight controls. There are loads of great tutorials online and I found these quite useful too. Synced easily with my phone and I was impressed at how responsive it is. Once in the air it sat rock-steady waiting for me to take control. No problem taking photos and video which both look good. The case is good quality and well designed to keep the drone/remote etc safe.

I’m keen to get some good aerial footage of my local area and already planning to take it with me on trips.

    Highly recommended

I took this out yesterday, and it was not my first drone flight, but it was my first flight with the over 250g class, and I was absolutely amazed by its quality of build to start with.
For under 300, as a beginner, which I am, it is well worth it, and so easy to fly, almost straight out of the box(ok there are a few set ups to do first, but its the same with any drone). Unlike any of the Chinese drones ( I say this from experience) there is a complete set of instructions, as well as Holy Stone videos online, which makes it so much easier, and gives you a little confidence before you start.

The camera images are exceptional and very smooth. I am sure there is far more i can say but I will not bore you with all the details, but will say that the Holy Stone Has been built with the novice flyer in mind.
My conclusion? Wow! so much for under 300! All other Drone manufacturers Take Note and learn from Holy Stone!

I had a drone before but found that the short flight time was stopping me from enjoining it.
The HS 720g has a great battery lifetime and as I have two they are quick to change out.
Controls are easy to use and the phone holder is a great benefit. Although the range is not that great you may still find it hard to see in poor lighting.
On my first flight I damaged my blades but as it comes with a full spare set. They are quite easy to change if you can see the small screws. The Carrie case is great for packing and protecting but a longer shoulder strap would have been nice as I take it on my bike. There are a lot of instructional videos on line to help set up and fly but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to get there. The follow me and RTH are a good accessory however, the return to home on low battery caught me out when I was walking with it and left me having to run home to get back to the drone before it landed until I realised that I just cancel it and land where I was waiting. A colour choice would be nice.
It’s a great first time intermediate drone for anyone. Great fun to fly

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI am quite a keen photographer and have been interested in getting a drone for aerial shots for some time. Having looked around, I was quite impressed with the specification of this drone, and while not cheap, did seem to be reasonably priced for what you get compared to similar from other brands. There is the added expense of obtaining an operator ID from the CAA (in the UK) for this drone, if you are responsible for it, but that isn’t too much and fairly easy to get. You also need a flyer ID to fly it. Again, this is fairly straightforward.

I am impressed with the build quality of the drone and the case it comes with is excellent and everything is well protected when packed inside.

I found it quite easy to get started. A little patience setting up probably goes a long way, but isn’t difficult. On first flight I was pleasantly surprised how easy it is to fly. The drone responds well to the remote. I did find it a bit fiddly getting my phone into the remote, but that was more to do with the phone than the remote. I guess it depends where your phones buttons are. I had to have my phone slightly off centre to avoid one of the buttons, but it works fine nonetheless.

As far as the camera goes, the quality of both still and video is good. The gimbal does a reasonable job of keeping things steady. Video is a bit jerky when changing direction rotationally, but for me this isn’t too much of a problem. May be with a bit more practice this can be improved.

This is a great bit of kit, but on one occasion the drone did seem to lose it’s stability and was difficult to control. I’m not sure why that occurred and I hope it was a one off.

I haven’t tried all the features other than the follow me mode which worked quite well. I haven’t quite worked out the others as yet.

If you’re after a reasonably priced drone with some good features I don’t think you can go far wrong with this. I would definitely recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for new drone use

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis i smy first ever drone, I wanted one to use for video capturing and wanted something easy to handle but at the same time give that profesional feel of high quality 4k video and photos. This drone has delivered that for me. The flying time is about 25 minutes on one filly charged battery. The remote control is easy to use and adding your mobile phone ot the remote control is easy and connects with the app, it records vieos to both the onboard SD Card and the phone directly. I have aquired a drone operators ID and Flyer ID, highly recomended for this drone, I would recoemnd the training to anyone flying a drone regardless of the weight.

The video and phot quality is genuine 4k high resolution great for videos. The drone is robust, but you do need to ensure you calabrate it correctly before each flight or you will find your drone drifting off so if i could give any useful advice, its make sure you have calabrated it properly before each flight, spend that extra 60 seconds dfoing this everytime and it will not let you down.

Overall a great drone, easy to fly, very stable and even returns back to where you started if it thinks the battery is running out.

Lots of fun if used correctly.

Having done my home work on the different drones on the market. I chose the HS 720G as one of the best on the market, I was not disappointed the service has been exceptional and delivery was prompt. Setting up the drone was simple and flying it was easier than I expected. I recommend people have a look at this if 5hey are considering buying a drone

I bought this drone a couple of months and have been very happy with it. I was looking for a good quality drone for a reasonable price, I wasn’t sure the video quality was going to be good but it really is and the app is quite nice to use.

I had an issue with a battery out of the box but the attentive cover service team at Holystone were quickly on it. I received a replacement in days. From then on the experience has been great. Solid drone, great app, clear if not totally crisp images. Excellent value for the price.

A lot of drones out there to choose from, but the Holy Stone HS720G had a lot of good features at a very good price.
It was reasonably easy to set up. It takes off and hovers really easy and is not difficult to fly. Once connected to a mobile phone you can also see the drones camera view and the picture quality with this one is excellent.
If you do encounter any problems, the people at Holy Stone are easy to contact and very helpful.
Overall really pleased with the HS720 as my first proper drone.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFirst outing. Took off. No controls inputted. Circled at high speed and crashed into woods. Known fault. Something to do with GPS. If you Google it you will find multiple circumstances. Sent back for a refund.

edit ** the company reached out to me and sent a replacement. This worked relatively fine first outing but i will test it more extensively to check for faults

edit** no issues so far. The company have been very helpful in sorting the issues.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersVery happy with the HS720G. There are 2 or 3 quite similar models but the G has the gimbal. And I obviously don’t have the others for comparison but the image with this one is rock steady in flight. Not sure whether it is true but I thought a gimbal will always give better picture stability than software correction. Preventing a problem seems to me always better than even the fanciest correction. For UK costumers, you need an operator ID and flyer ID from CAA. Costs only a tenner and is easy to obtain but you need it to fly it legally.
Otherwise it was just unpacking, charging the battery (you’ll need a phone charger, power bank or similar with USB A output) and follow the pairing and calibration steps in manual and I was flying. Oh yes, you will need 2 AA batteries for controller too. Then I downloaded the software for FPV and extra fancy stuff like path flying, follow me, etc… But to my initial shock the app didn’t connect to the drone. I was disappointed as it was such a good experience so far. With heavy heart I contacted Holy Stone on WhatsApp. They answered swiftly, suggesting at first stuff I had all done. But then they came with a plan to delete all and do step by step a new install. Which included this time to be in airplane mode and Bluetooth off before linking phone to drone’s WiFi connection. And that worked! I don’t write many reviews but that was really a positive experience. Service quality only shows when something goes wrong, like the app not working. Finding swiftly a good solution then shows the service quality. Positively impressed .
Drone is good quality and stable, problem with app was resolved (switch off BT and switch to airplane mode before switching on Wifi again and connecting to drone’s WiFi). Extremely good value in my opinion. Would buy again from them in future and hence full 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality and very good customer service.
