    So far, so good
It only been a couple of days, so it’s too soon to rate its effectiveness. Sleep mode is unintrusive and it was easy to start using.

Was suffering from passive smoking from a neighbor, and bought this, seems to work as expected. A light on the top of the machine lights up in different colors depending on the level of contaminants, strangely the cigarette smoke smell did not seem to register, so I started it on the high setting and then the sleep mode setting. I gave up with the connectivity to the wi-fi when the QR code and product code were not recognized
by the hOn app and just use it manually, I might try setting it up using a different app at a later date, it should not be this hard.

The air purifier seems to purify well. Looks OK – the info screen is clear (and can be dimmed).
On setup, with the App, you can register the hON app using google or facebook signin. If do you that, the device will refuse to register. You must use an email address and password to sign into the app. I’ve made the manufacturer aware of this bug – it may be the issue others have been finding with it.

I do dislike the lack of fine grained control. There are only 3 modes: “Auto, Max or Sleep”. You can’t set fan speed (albeit, sleep is low speed, max is high speed).
The Auto mode is too sensitive under its “VOC” category. Use of an air freshener at the other end of the house will cause it to think that air pollution is at a dangerous level. As do other cleaning products and it sometimes reacts when someone farts in the room! It appears not sensitive enough on the particle detection. I can smell ash in the air from my woodburning stove, but the increase in level doesn’t trigger the purifier to come on (this smell of ash was the reason I bought it). Ideally I’d be able to set thresholds.

I do like, that in “Auto” mode, it turns fan off when there is no pollution after a certain time (30min?) (the app says fan is “low” but it is clearly off).

So generally positive, but a little bit of finesse would help.

It does what it says on the tin. And it’s very efficient. For the price, it’s extremely good value, and stylish looking. The app is extremely easy to operate. I love candles and it almost increased its speed to start filtering the air. I also vape and it detects vape from e-cigs also. Overall I would definitely recommend this air filter from Hoover.

The problem seems to be it doesn’t like connecting to 5ghz wireless. Luckily I have quite an advanced router so I can setup another SSID running only on 2.5ghz. Once I did that it connected fine and has remained connected for the last 4 months

Works well and have noticed my allergies significantly decreased after changing to anti-allergenic bedding and having the hoover on a timed schedule on the bedside table.

It’s super sensitive which is good to know it works. Aftershave, anti-persperant and even when I painted another room, it goes nuts! Good visual indicator of air quality.

Only downside is that it’s huge! Really struggle to find a good place for it.

    Good, but huge

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI don’t usually leave a review unless a product is really good or really bad. I am really impressed with this purchase. I am not interested in the humidifier / dehumidifier / Oil diffusion functions. So they may or not be great too but I suspect they would be. I am upgrading from a levoit purifier which has stood me well for a couple of years, and this blows it away (pun intended). Its massively more powerful and is super easy to use and program via the app which connects easily (contrary to other reviews) and via alexa (contrary to other reviews). It you want to use it manually it has clear buttons on top as well as a light ring and other info regarding air quality. Mine is hidden behind a L shape settee and hard to get to so I really appreciate the extra automation and control you can give it.
My favourite so far the automatic mode. It just kicks in whenever it senses the air needs a clean and powers up accordingly, then goes back to a minimal quiet mode. There is a sleep function though I’m not quite sure what it does special as the automatic mode seems to put it in a very sleepy state already. I reckon this uses less energy than my use of the levoit as I ended up just leaving that on 24/7 at max, whereas this only pops on and off if its detects cigarette smoke for instance. The downside for this is the device is quite big. My old levoit is say the size of a waste paper basket. This is more the size of a kitchen bin. Its light enough to move but a bit awkward if like me you hide it behind a settee or such.

Chuffed with it. Overloaded with features, and as far as I can tell very good value compared to others with similar. Great quality build too. The filters are expensive to replace but thats the main sting with any such device.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was almost put off buying this due to all the poor reviews about people not being able to link it to the app. I’ve had previous problems with some of the early and cheap smart plugs, so thought if I managed to get them to work, this should be ok too.

I knew it would need to be paired from a wifi router only giving out 2.4ghz and I do have a separate one just for smart thing like this. I also read to turn off mobile data when trying the set up. I did all the above and still had problems, so I deleted the partially added product from the app and started again. On the 3rd attempt I got it working and now it’s paired works perfectly every time.

I must say for the price I paid, with all the features it has, plus can be controlled by a pretty decent app, it’s an amazing deal. I’ve had a few other purifiers over the years for around this price, and this one blows the rest out of the water. So much so I’ll be ordering another one for the bedroom.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersWell that was a pin in the backside. So, many have issues with app connection. The reason is it’ll only connect at 2.4ghz – rather than 5ghz. My modem transmits in both. Yet it still wouldn’t connect. Phoned hoover who were useless.

Sooo go into your modem setting page 192.168.0.1 – sign in and disable the 5ghz transmission temporarily. Then the product connects to app and works.

I then turned 5ghz back on and the product still works.

I tried several times prior to this and it simply refused to connect.

Right – the unit it’s pretty much what you’d expect. A good size – annoyingly my air quality was deemed as ‘good’ and therefore probably useless but hoping when hayfever season starts it’ll be worth it’s weight in gold.

So not a bad unit. The app was frustrating. I am not overly ‘techy’ – and the unit would have scored higher had i not have to spend an hour ‘faffing’.

Anyway probably worth having at worst it may mask the wife’s flatulent habits whilst snoring (she didn’t write that on her match profile!)

    Have a good one.

As a family that includes hayfever sufferers and 2 dogs, we were pretty sneezy and hairy already. Add to that a house move with constant plastering, wallpapering and other dusty projects… it became quite unbearable! I am SO glad i purchased this purifier! it has (quite literally) saved us quite a few sleepless nights! I was quite surprised at the size when it first arrived but now we barely notice its there. And it can purify a large area too. We have noticed a huge improvement in the air quality since a few days after switching it on. It has a quiet hum to it but, again, its something you get used to! It also seems to suck up those dinner cooking smells pretty well too! nothing lingers too long. It is really easy to operate and i really like that you can tell the quality of the air just by looking at the LED ring at the top (green good, yellow moderate, orange poor and red bad). You can also check this on the app and use the app to change the settings or modify settings for allergies by setting up an allergy profile! Overall i am really pleased and have just purchased another for the upstairs of the house!

    great purchase!

I was not expecting the item to be so big but it’s light to move around. The machine does a good job of pumping out filtered air, which has made a big difference with hay fever and asthma. My breathing has improved a lot The machine’s sleep mode is really quiet and normal mode is quiet as well (unless you have it on max settings). I like the idea of auto settings as well.
The hOn app was easy to use as well so I can control the purifier from my phone. I think the idea of the purifier indicating when your air quality is bad, is a great idea.
It’s also good that the purifier covers quite a large area (110 sq. metres).
The purifier looks good in any room and pretty simple to set up. The air becomes purified in a matter of minutes. Definitely worth the purchase.

It is incredibly light to carry but its a very decent size. Pumps out filtered air which feels crisp and circulates around the room- free of any pollen, allergens etc. Set up was super simple- i downloaded the hOn app on my phone which allows you to control the settings on the air purifier. It also displays plenty of information on how the air purifier works and the type of airborne particles it filters. You can also monitor your air quality day by day (also displayed on the actual machine by the colour- red is bad, yellow is intermediate and green is good air quality). The app isn’t essential to the functioning of the purifier however so I most likely wouldn’t use the app every time to control settings other than to monitor the air quality. There are really beautifully designed controls on the actual purifier itself so controlling from the app isn’t crucial. I’ve found the purifier incredibly quiet to use- I normally keep it on the auto mode and barely hear it and sleep mode is even quieter which is amazing. Max mode is a little noisy but it does a great job for filtering nasty particles in the air. As an asthmatic I have found it alot easier to breathe and my chest feels less clogged up although it is definitely not a cure for asthmatics. I can definitely say that the air quality in my bedroom is a lot better! Energy usage also seems to be rather minimal which is grea

To say I am impressed is an understatement! It’s a marvellous addition to any household. I suffer from severe hayfever and my mother in law is a chain smoker- since we have had this in our house, I no longer suffer as much! I actually wake up and I can breathe, my eyes are not streaming and the air feels fresh,
thanks to the hypoallergenic function. When the MiL comes around, we do not smell the smoke, the air is cleaner, fresher and our clothes no longer smell like an ashtray. I was rather surprised at how much it
takes away but it really does work. It is very easy to pick up and move around, as although it’s a little bigger than I imagined, it is very light. It looks really stylish too and fits it nicely, it is not an eyesore at all, it’s actually added to the room. It’s is extremely easy to set up and use and the app is brilliant. I love the fact I can connect it to my Alexa and Echo Show, which means I can use it no matter where I am. It is easy to change the filter too (see pictures) you just move the orange slider and it pulls out with ease. I have
one research and it is very economical to run! I think it’s great value for money as I have had some that cost a lot more but have not been as good. Overall, it’s brilliant and I wish I had bought one earlier. I highly recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersThe Hoover Air Purifier 300 is something I was eager to try as I suffer from very poor sleep at night. I live in a city on a main road where there are high pollution levels. I have 3 cats and whlist I do not have alergies I have slept better and been less stuffy since using this in my bedroom.
It is quiet. I was not sure it was working properly until the front door was opened just after a car had been parked in the driveway. The fumes woke it up and it worked quickly and efficiently to purify the air. The sleep setting is quiet enough not to disturb my sleep but is not completely silent.
A great feature is the built in C02 alarm. It should last for five years. When plugged in it is constantly monitoring for this.
The App lets it down. The sleep schedule would not work and the privacy statement appears to be poorly translated from another language so I was not comfortable with accepting it.
It works well with Alexa. I have timers set via routines. I could not get the app to do this. I can also “Ask Alexa” to change the settings remotely.
I am impressed by the claim that the Air Purifier is efficient at reducing small particulates which may include allergens, bacteria and viruses. It reassuringly has the British Allergy Foundation Allergy UK seal of Approval.
For those who are not good with technology it still is a fully functioning unit with 3 levels of protection in its filter. The app and Alexa are not essential to its functionability.

    Quiet and effective

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe have a three year old golden retrirever so pet hair and general pet smells are an occupational hazard. I’ve wanted an air purifier for a long time and i’m pleased to say that this piece of kit is amazing. Yes it’s a big but not out of place in the corner of a lounge or landing. Setting it up was a piece of cake and we were up and running with the app in less than 5 minutes. We don’t have it on all the time but put it on spordically when cleaning or when allergy prone guests stay over. It’s very quiet and the quiet mode + the ability to turn off the lights is a great feature. The app is a useful addition but by no means essential. I like how it provides info on tolerance and alerts you if the incoming weather means higher chances of allergies. For a few days we had the machine tucked away but now it sits next to the sofa and doesn’t look out of place. We had some family round last week and a few of the dads commented and I was particularly smug. Very pleased with this purchase.

As soon as I received the item it was clear and simple to use. I opened the box and the machine had instructions on how to set it up immediately. It took less than 2 minutes to remove the packaging and plug in which is a big plus nowadays! The information was clear and I love the fact the machine assesses the air quality for you. Although the machine is large it is light enough to carry and unlike another I have has useful hand grips which makes it super easy to move around. The air feels crisper after use and I really like it! It is quiet and I love all the different modes it has. Although you can use the app it’s perfectly fine to use it without one so it’s great for anyone to use! I fully recommend for anyone that wants to improve the air in their home, maintain it or help with allergies! Although I haven’t done it yet maintenance looks straight forward with the filter so easy to remove! I also love the fact the cord can be hidden away inside I find it so streamlined.

This Hoover Air Purifier 300 is a little bigger than expected but really quite stylish. It’s also much quieter than expected, sleep mode being the quietest of the settings available. It’s light and easy to move around. Set up process is easy. Settings can be adjusted by using the downloadable app or on the unit itself. It monitors the air quality in the room in which it is placed. This is displayed using the traffic light system, green=good, red=bad and amber=in between. We have noticed that the air in our home appears fresher. We have a son who has asthma and purchased the unit to help with providing cleaner air in his bedroom when sleeping. He feels less stuffy since using it.

My first expression when it delivered to me was it’s bit big than my expectation. My living room is 25 m^2 while my bedroom 16m^2 so I recommend people have similar size buying it. I have being used several types of Air Purifiers so far because I supper hay fever and I feel too dry while turning on the heater. But I want to highlight that even this purifier is the largest one it’s even the quietest one while working. So I’m really confident using it overnight without concerns of disturbing my sweet dreams. Especially when I turn on the sleep mood it purify my bedroom air I don’t even notice it’s working. Since pandemic I work from home much more often but I also notice that there’re more allergic sources so it might disturbing me focusing on my work. When I turn it on I can feel the air quality in my living room improved and I can spend more time on my job. I’m looking forward to see more advantages at hay fever seasons.

Larger than my expectation but even quiete

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHoover H-Purifier 300

The machine its self came well packed in a recycled material cardboard box and inserts, no foam or plastic inserts. Once unpacked it stands 52cm high with a diameter of 28cm with a silver perforated lower half a white top. It is extremely easy to use with a simple set of pictorial instructions and a touch sensitive control panel at the centre of its circular top.

Our family all suffer from various forms of allergies, hayfever, dust. About a year ago I started having bad nose bleeds and after eventually going to hospital to be checked out by a consultant and was told that it was the bad air quality in London and that due to rising pollution its only going to get worse! And hence the need for something to assist.

The Hoover H-Purifier 300 reports to offer a unique solution against pollutants and seasonal allergies, with Hoover guaranteeing a safer and healthier home environment, filtering and removing 99.97% of airborne indoor particles up to 0.3 micron. According to the World Health Organization the air quality inside our house could be from 2 to 5 times more polluted than outside!!

The unique solution this appliance offer is it uses the hOp app connected via your phone to the air purifier and receives real time statistic of the air quality in your area and can adapt its behaviour to help compensate. Even without the app the onboard multi Sensors System constantly monitors the indoor air quality in real time, detecting polluting agents (PM 10 and PM 2.5), gases (VOC), temperature, humidity* and Carbon Monoxide and again compensates its behaviour to compensate.

The unit itself boats a H-TRIFILTER is the exclusive system of filtration, featured with the combined action of 3 different layers, each one with a specific function, to always grant you protection from all the indoor pollutants up to 0.1 microns. The Outer Layer works as a primary filter, intercepting the largest particles such as human or pet hair and dust. The HEPA (H13) filter traps 99.97% of particulates up to 0.3 microns, removing invisible micro particles such as PM 10 and PM2.5. It also features a unique and tested treatment to inhibit pollens once captured by the filter and inactivate them, allowing allergic subjects to manage the filter in complete safety. The Active Carbon filter removes harmful gases and odours.

    Overall good value for money

This is my first time having an air purifier. I suffer a lot with allergies so thought it would me helpful to try. I already have a Wi-Fi enabled Hoover product so had the HoN app. The purifier arrived the next day after ordering it. I’m not sure why but it’s bigger then I thought it would be. It’s a nice design though and has fitted in nicely where I put it the living room. I set it up with ease using the app and set it to auto. Unfortunately the first time it kicked in and let me know the air quality in our room had dropped was when my husband passed wind next to it, not sure if it was a coincidence or not but the children keep trying to set it off now by doing the same. On the highest setting it’s a bit noisy but with a busy household it’s not the noisiest thing in it. All in all I like it, especially with the ability to use the app.

I was not expecting such a large package to arrive and for some reason had thought the purifier would be a little less conspicuous. This thing is a bit of a beast and really needs to have its own designated area in a room. Unboxing the device was easy although he set up of the app was a little more tricky and not as intuitive as I would have liked. However, the ability to operate the purifier remotely is a nice touch, and something that is almost a necessity with any device nowadays. The purifier runs very quietly. Whilst I knew that this was a claim, actually hearing (or not!) how quiet it is was very impressive. My only point of note is that the purifier does vibrate when running. Whilst you don’t hear this vibration, it does mean that the top of the machine looks like it is blurred when looked at directly. This does make your eyes go funny, but most people probably won’t spend time staring at the machine like I did. I am interested to see how the machine performs in hotter climates i.e. the summer, when there may be far more pollen and allergens to deal with. I think this will be the real test to see how effective the purifier is and whether it is truly worth the money. Overall I am pretty satisfied so far so will be recommending to anyone who has issues or allergies in relation to air quality.

    A Big Talking Point!

I eventually managed to get the 500 model working.

The problem I had with the 300 model was that it would not connect to WiFi. I tried 2 and had to return both – I don’t know if it was a hardware issue on the purifier or a problem with their app that was later fixed. Either way, once I got my 500 up and running and connected I was very happy with it.

The 500 has the advantage that the air quality measurememts are visible on the purifier itself. The 300 does not show these values unless it is connected to WiFi. The 500 also has a retractable cable – the 300 does not.

The diffuser (the only of the 3 differences they advertise) is ok. It’s not really worth paying more for on its own. The retractable cable and on screen didplay perhaps are.

I wonder what else the 700 has that they don’t tell us about….

ot easy getting it connected to the app however when you do manage it, it very clearly tells you when to clean/replace the filter etc. Didn’t quite appreciate how much dust is in the air. Only thing that annoys me is you can’t just set the fan speed yourself. its either on auto (mostly off), night mode (really slow and quiet) or full blast, there is no manual middle ground. however is it worth 200-300? probably no

An excellent machine! Love the fact you can see the levels going down and it also does a massive area. Left it downstairs for the first day and upon taking it upstairs, found the levels of pm pollution upstairs to have been lowered too. Highly recommended

It is fairly big, yes, but for that size, it does a lot (phrasing). I wanted an upgrade from one of those riglioso mini purifiers you could get for a score and there is a massive difference in air cleaning quality.

For those with poor ventilation, 420 aficionados and allergy sufferers, if you have the space or a little corner in your room for it, a perfect addition in my opinion.

Night mode actually also makes for great white noise too. There’s a little more I’d like to add but more for Reddit, but yeah, neat piece of kit. If you’ve got the guala for it, buy it.

Cons I’d say is it was quite hard to connect to WiFi – still ain’t done it. Got fed up after the 8th attempt. App is also a little buggy could do with some work I guess but I do actually like the product. Happy with it!

    It’s an essential.. can’t lie!

My first impression was “wow – its huge”. The set up was relatively straight forward. It started OK on my android phone then the H-PURIFIER 300 failed to connect to my WiFi. Despite repeated attempts I couldn’t get it to work. I then used an iPhone and the setup process worked seamlessly. Strange?! The phone app looks identical on both the iPhone and an Android phone and has the same functionality. You get a daily notification with the pollution levels in your area, and it also shows you the air quality of the room where its operating. Leaving it in ‘auto’ mode lets it dynamically adjust itself. For example, I have an open plan living room/kitchen area and when i start cooking the H-PURIFIER 300 detects (very quickly) that there are an increased number of particles and increases its fan throughput. The app also tells you the different types of particles (PM2.5, PM10 and VOC), and its fascinating to see these vary as you cook. Cleaning also pollutes the air in your home – both through disturbing dust and by the uses of aerosols/cleaning products. When the system is set to Auto and the fan speed is low, the H-PURIFIER 300 is silent and you wouldn’t know its there. When something triggers it to work harder, its operation does become noticeable but soon merges into the background, and in turn once the pollutants fall to acceptable levels it becomes silent once more. Do I need this product? There’s no-one in my household who has asthma or any pollen type allergies, however it was scary to see how cooking, cleaning and burning candles releases pollutents into the air, and reassuring to see the H-PURIFIER 300 remove them.

I’ve been keen to try out an air purifier for a few years so it’s great having one at home now. I have very bad hayfever and hoped an air purifier would ease my symptoms. I also have a few visitors that are allergic to cats (which I have) so a product that removes pet dander from the air is great.

Having only had the product for a few weeks and in lockdown I cannot test the pet allergy effectiveness however my hayfever has so far been kept at bay.

The device itself is fairly large but very lightweight so easy to move around from room to room. Sleep mode is great as the ring light turns off and the fan is quiet. I can still hear it when I’m in bed but it’s more of a white noise which I quite enjoy so I don’t think it would keep you up during the night.

Day to day the purifier will spring into action when cooking dinner or spraying deodorant which is great. I would like to see what the filter looks like after having the device for a while!

The app is a little bit of a let down. I would prefer a bit more information when the device goes into max mode as sometimes the air quality figures in the app have barely changed. I had a few issues with setting up a pollen allergy profile but the app finally let me do it a few days ago so I should get alerts if it’s a bad hayfever day!

Overall I do feel the air quality is better with a purifier however I think a longer time to use the product (and inspect the filters) will give me more confidence in it’s abilities.

    So far so good

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI really love the Hoover H-Purifier 300. I got it to replace my old air purifier which was very much a simple 3-speed, non-smart appliance. As a vaper, this purifier is perfect because it will automatically detect when there are particles in the air to be filtered, it then ramps up the speed, clears the air and then settles back down to a low setting when the air is clear. The purifying capability is amazing, it’s surprising just how quickly this can clear the air. I like that it also has a Sleep mode so that it can operate overnight whilst making also no noise so as to not disturb my sleep. The companion app is extremely useful for being able to control extra settings, setting a sleep schedule and monitoring the air quality remotely. At around 350 this isn’t the most affordable option available, but with the smart-functionality, ease of use and filtering ability, this is definitely a must-buy for those who want/need good air quality. I was quite surprised at the size of this, although it is smaller than my previous air purifier so it fits perfectly into the space. It also has a very modern and stylish look, which fits in well with the other tech appliances I have. I would recommend! 🙂

Perfect option is allergen icon. The app its really easy to Control everythink. One minus was when I try connect my phone app with Hoover. After 1hr I connected it. Its really big but IT take more rooms to clean air.

I must admit I was sceptical if an air purifier will actually make a difference. After almost 2 weeks I can honestly say I feel the difference. I placed it in almost every room in the house, it was quiet enough to sleep in the bedroom and watch tv in the living room. As soon as the sensors pick up polluted air the cool responsive light turns from green to orange and the you can hear the air purifier get to work specially when I come back from work. The WiFi setup is dummy proof and through the app I can see live numbers on the quality of the air. I was surprised at how big it was… The picture made it look alot smaller then it was. Overall it looks very modern and did I mention it has a cool light, That’s my favourite feature

    Surprisingly it works

I think the price it’s little bit too expensive. When I get this air freshers it was too big but probably it is like that because of filter. I use the fresher in every room and the colour of light is always green so I’m not sure if I have to use it. The monitor its very sensitive and its very good option to snooze the screen so you don’t have to see the light in dark room. I also used a bio program – very good and you can see less dust in the area. Very good and easy to connect with your phone by the WiFi (h0n apps) so you don’t have to touch the machine you can do everything from far even switch off if you are in the bed. I recommend for people with allergy and who has the skin issues.

What can I say! This Air Purifier is amazing. I’m a long sufferer of allergies and I’ve had always had to take preventative measures to avoid flair ups. Not anymore! It’s insane. Not a single headache, sneeze, cough, irritated eye or runny nose. Air Purifier is much bigger than expected. Literally stands as high as my ottoman. The setup is really easy (a few niggles which I’ll get into), the design is sleek and it blends in my house really nicely.

So, setting this up was a little bit of a struggle but after a couple of tries it connected. Once you scan the QR code it does take a while to connect to the WiFi and Bluetooth ( failed two times out of three). In my honest opinion the app could be a little more useful, there’s no point to using it as there’s hardly any functions.

It did say Alexa compatible but I don’t believe it is (or I just haven’t mastered it yet)

Overall I would say that this is a great purifier, I have slept well and my breathing is so much better.

Well thought out product. Thank you 🙂

When you first get this you realise how big it actually is compared to pictures of the product, it takes a little bit of space especially when you need to make sure it’s not near a wall. It was easy to set up after opening, and was really interesting what the air quality was supposedly like when it started up. You realise how not clean your room air quality is. When it’s working it is very quiet, although when it’s diffusing it does make some squealing noises. The app isn’t really worth using, and will only download on my husbands phone, not mine. There are spelling mistakes, broken links for spares and settings don’t work. If the readouts are true then it clears a room very quickly, and the interesting thing is that when I opened up a cupboard nearby with nail varnish in, it quickly went into higher power and cleared it. Can’t say I’ve noticed a great difference being an asthmatic/allergy sufferer as yet, but time will tell once the pollen begins to come.

I had quite a lot air purifiers along my live and I can say, the H-PURIFIER 300 is a good choice. If you are looking for a device with a good construction, good materials and not bad performance, H-PURIFIER 300 can be a great choice.
I located it in a big living room, and the first contact was really good, it was plug and play. The sync with my mobile was also successful in the first try. I was able to manage it through the mobile app in 5 min.
After a few weeks using it, there is a difference in the air quality. Really happy .
I think the only feature that should be improved, in my oppinion, is the mobile app. The app has some small glitches. The idea of the app is great but it needs to be improved.

I’ve been curious as to how effective an air purifier would be in the summer for my hay fever, so I decided to give the H-Purifier 300 a try. Whilst I’ll have to wait a couple more months to see that, I already am glad I have the device.

The Good: The LED ring makes it easy to see the quality of air in your home. Green is good, amber for moderate, red for bad. All things considered, it’s pretty quiet. It’s completely silent in auto mode when the ring is green – mainly because it has nothing to do other than monitor the air so the fan inside is off. Even when it kicks on for moderate air you can happily keep it only a few feet away and participate in zoom calls etc. It has built-in handles on the side for easy carrying and is surprisingly light. Setup and connection to WiFi was easy (not sure why so many have difficulties here. Perhaps I got lucky).

The Bad: Overall, the app is terrible. Often it doesn’t register clicks. At times it just plain fails to load certain pages. The air quality graph never populates so I don’t have any info over the time spent using the device. It asks me to complete my pollen profile, and after spending far too long randomly clicking every part of the pop-up and it not moving to the next page, it randomly did one day. I completed the setup but the next day the pop-up appeared again asking me to again complete my pollen profile. Cue clicking circle of horror again. Sleep mode is louder than automatic mode with clean air. As I mentioned previously, when the ring is green the fan turns off rendering the device completely noiseless. In sleep mode the fan stays on at a low level, even with a clean air room. This means it’s slightly audible at all times – especially in the dead of night. Really, this mode should follow the auto mode in that it should turn the fan off when the air is clear but limit it to the slow sleep mode speed if it detects particulates to clean. The reason one can’t just leave it in auto instead is that your bedroom is lit-up with the LED ring, leaving you to use sleep mode for a dark room.

Overall I’m happy I have the device but not sure I could recommend for the full 350 – perhaps wait until it’s on offer.

My initial impression of the device itself was that it is massive. It looks like a giant battery. It’s definitely well built. Quality of materials used is absolutely high. Nothing to pick on really. It comes with a big cylinder HEPA filter, 50 ml Detox Ritual 100% natural essential oil and H-Biotics – bio-hygienizing blend based on probiotics. The first setup with the h-On app was a little bit difficult. I was unable to pair the H-purifier with my wifi network over the Bluetooth, however after switching to wifi pairing mode it was straight forward. The app gives you remote control of all functions and stats, air quality and pollution. The app has already been upgraded a few times bringing some improvements. You can control all Hoover family devices through the app. The advanced multi sensor is very sensitive and can sense even dirty smelly socks or even a fart. It adjusts fan speed to provide best performance and cleanest room air in possible quickest time. The led halo ring on top of the purifier informs us about the actual air condition. I’ve been using it in our saloon/day room and bedroom for sleeping. Day use is absolutely perfect. You can enjoy clean air. It is hard to say how clean the air is with the H-purifier on as non of our family suffers with an allergy but it seems to do the job well. There’s a built-in sleep mode that reduces led brightness and cleans the air while you sleep. The only issue for me is constantly spinning the fan with the lowest setting which can be a problem for some people to fall asleep as even if it is quiet it is noticeable. While a day mode stops the fan when air reaches best quality after filtering. But that might be fixed with software upgrades in the future. There is also a filter condition/cleaning indicator through the h-On app as well as on the main control display informing when to clean the filter or replace it. I’m not sure how long the filter can last, that depends probably on many factors, like where you live, if you smoke or not and so. Summarizing H-purifier 500 from Hoover is absolutely a beast. It’s big, it’s powerful, it’s advanced, but most of all it’s purifying room air efficiently and quickly. It would require a long term usage to say more about durability and filter lifespan but after about a month of use I see no issue whatsoever. I would recommend it to everyone looking for the most advanced and powerful air purifier on the market.

I got this product hoping that it would help my daughter who has pollen and dust mite allergies to sleep better as she was up and down every night coughing and sneezing. After using it for a couple of weeks I can now say it has been life changing for her! She sleeps through the night without waking herself up coughing and sneezing as she now has clean air to breathe! The unit is really quiet, unless you put your ear to it you wouldn’t even know its running and the app is great for tracking your air quality too. I’m so glad we now have this product and would recommend it to allergy sufferers for a peaceful nights sleep.

This Hoover Air Purifier is really great. I have had other purifiers but this one beats them all. It is extremely powerful and can clear the air much faster than your average purifier. My father is a heavy smoker and he smokes in the house, albeit with the windows open, but that generally doesn’t help. With this Hoover Purifier, it clears the air to the point where I can’t smell a single bit of smoke. It doesn’t make too much noise which is a massive plus as my previous purifier was very loud and didn’t allow me to sleep at night if I had it on. I generally start sneezing a lot when cleaning due to the dust but that’s doesn’t happen any more as it is also great for clearing the dust thats in the air. I will 100% recommend this to everyone.

Hoover have developed a new range of air purifiers – the H-PURIFIER series, with 3 machines available, each building on the foundation of making the air you breathe cleaner. I’ve purchased (at a discount) the H-PURIFIER 300, which focuses on just this aspect of improving the ambient environment. The second model adds an aromatherapy diffuser and the third also includes humidity management.

Arriving well-protected in a branded box, the purifier is easy to remove and set up. Download the hOn app and pair the device quickly by scanning the QR code located under the filter cover. You can also use most of the device features using the intuitive touch-response panel on the top, which also contains a straightforward status display. A coloured ring around this gives at-a-glance indication of the status of your air quality (green for OK, amber for slight pollution, red for significant quantities of detected pollutants). The fan is noticeable at normal speeds, but whisper quiet using the sleep mode and while very noticeable on high setting, is still not overly intrusive unless you are sitting practically on top of the unit.

After running the unit overnight, the difference to air quality felt tangible. My home is reasonably clean, but with two cats and two children is bound to have more than its fair share of dander and dust! Thankfully I don’t live near to a main road, so traffic pollution is not a particular consideration.

The air quality monitoring sensors are extremely sensitive and having a pet walk near the device is enough for a slight elevation in fan speed as the unit detects particulates and begins to ‘scrub’ the air clean. It’s early days and the real test will be in a few weeks time as pollen levels start to increase, both my children and I all suffer from allergies, so it will be interesting to see if the H-PURIFIER can maintain our comfort. The filter is a modest ongoing cost, but will be ameliorated by the reduction in the purchase of various anti-allergy products I currently buy as well as improving the health and comfort of my family, especially while we are spending so much additional time at home.

The app could do with some TLC, hopefully Hoover will continue to improve this and squash some bugs. Otherwise, I would recommend this product especially if you have allergies and/or pets and children and want to improve the quality of air you breathe.

Really impressed with my H-Purifier 300. My home has never felt cleaner, I can especially notice a difference in air quality first thing in the morning when I go downstairs, the air is clean and fresh however when I open the door to the kitchen for instance, there is a noticeable difference. My first impressions was that it was bigger than I expected. A favourite feature of this product is how quiet it is, apart from when a cooking odour is present and the machine light turns amber or red the sound of it working in the background is super quiet. The sleep mode function is great too. The only downside is the app, I found it difficult to connect at first and the connection often drops out – having said that, the product doesn’t need the app to work or purify the air in your home, it would just be an added benefit if it worked better. Hopefully the app will have an update soon.

Overall, super impressed with my purifier and couldn’t live without it.

It is a great piece of technology intended to improve the way we live and breathe and it indeed does what it says- the air feels cleaner and easier to breathe. In addition, the build-in diffuser is a great feature and a fantastic solution to make your home even more welcoming. However, the scent of the diffuser was not one of my favourite and would personally prefer to choose something different. With regards to the purifier – it is very fancy and modern but can sometimes be a bit noisy if not on the sleeping mode, and the same applies to the diffuser feature. It also allows to connect using wifi however, i found it problematic and was unable to connect it to my mobile so possibly this should be improved or simplified. Overall a great product but not entirely essential.

When the box arrived, I was a bit surprised at the size. I was expecting a tabletop sized box. The packaging consists of a thick, strong cardboard box with hand holds and inside, a small amount of polystyrene and some hard cardboard inserts. Inside the box was the purifier, probiotics, essence and a few instruction manuals. Set up was really easy, and I really love that you can fully hide the plug away with a hook when not in use. To connect to the app is fairly straightforward and quite simple again. Starting it is really easy. Once you pick between probiotics or essence, you turn it on and can pick to put spray on or not. When first on, it seems to start with a high number on the display (which measures air quality), which reduces as it is left on. This shows the product working. When the animals walk past the purifier, sometimes the number will increase again briefly and the fan turns up to bring the figure down, which seems to show it working. I was not very impressed with the app. Though it shows the room humidity and temperature as well as air quality, I would like some kind of indication that the purifier is making a difference – maybe to show what the air quality would be without the purifier working or to show how hard it is having to work. This could maybe be put on a chart for a visual representation. The essence settings can be changed via the app or device to spray more or less frequently. The smell is a bit citrusy, refreshing and pleasant. Since using this, I have not had any asthma symptoms and I think my sinusitis has reduced (though I am also on meds for this so can’t say if the humidifier has impacted on it). I would recommend this to others who suffer with allergies and asthma. It is very quiet and makes the room smell lovely. Only downside is that the app seems a bit pointless and could be used for far more.

The purifier is a great addition to those that suffer from allergies. Setting up was simple and quick, connecting to the WiFi app took around 5 minutes, though I had to do this twice for it to work properly.
The LCD display shows you various information, the particles in the air, temperature, humidity and if you’ve enabled the diffuser, tells you what mode it’s in.
Seems to work well, it’s able to detect when I’ve cooked and the kitchen door is open, it senses the smell and turns on to a higher fan speed, as well as the ring turning from green to either yellow or red.
The app is handy, though a bit buggy at times, once a day it informs me of an error, but doesn’t actually say what the error is, but the purifier is still running like normal.
Diffuser option is a nice touch, though I found the scents provided by Hoover aren’t very strong, and if you are using the diffuser, the air purifier actually detects it as a scent, which then defeats the purpose as it then sucks it in and expels “clean” air. It’s also very loud when the diffuser is running.
Overall, it’s a great unit, small things could have been improved, but it does purifier the air and has good air circulation.

The H-Purifier 500 is a great product so far. I have found it keeps my living room very clean from pollutants well and the sensor is sensitive enough to ramp up the fan. For example i live on a main road, and if i open the window on a high pollution day with traffic, the air purifier goes to a higher speed quite quickly, the same happens if you use alcohol hand gel near by detecting it as a VOC/GAS.

The automatic fan seems decent, however you can only set it to AUTO or HIGH and high is rather loud. even in the app you cant set a “medium” setting. So when you are watching TV I find putting it on sleep mode as the smell of food can increase the fan to maximum and its LOUD when its on maximum..

However, the main downside to this product, is you cannot activate the pollen allergy mode on the device. The instructions say the only way to turn on the pollen profile is with the smart HON app, this was disappointing as all the other modes can be used directly on the device itself, but the pollen button is NOT press-able, and its just a led. It would not have taken much for this to be a button, even if it has to be programmed through the app, at least you could turn it on and off at the device, especially as there’s some annoying issues with the app at the moment of testing this product for the past week.

The app is VERY buggy at the moment, so this brings down the rating along with another issue I will mention shortly.

it took me many attempts (over 50 minutes) to PAIR the device, having to take the cover off to scan the QR code every time. However once connected its easy to use. That said, there’s still issues such as the Pollen allergy profile does NOT work ((NOTE: This has now been fixed but its oversensitive and im not even sure what it does when its “on” vs “off” as ive not noticed difference yet). The app does tell you the quality of the air although VOC always is green even on L4 (Highest) instead of showing correct levels when its high (eg should be red) and the outdoor pollution graph doesn’t always show right info for the week and only has one day.

One other flaw with the air purifier, is the diffuser.

I was excited to have a diffuser but there’s some issues with this. One issue, its very noisy when its working. Another issue, is you MUST use Hoover branded, and the scent in the bottle that came with the purifier, is very week you cant smell anything unless you hover your nose right over the output. Finally, the air purifier detects the smell as “GAS” (VOC) pollution and ramps up the fans and stops the diffuser to “clean the diffuser scent OUT of the air”. detecting it as LEVEL 4 – severe “gas”. – The h-biotics may be ok to use, but there’s no reason to use a diffuser, as some reason the smell of it ramps up the purifier, to try and “purify” it out of the air.

Talking about “GAS” this is not really “gas” what you would think. this is VOC odours, it would been better to have the display show VOC or ODOUR, as when i think of Gas i think of the stuff you use for cooking or heating.

Overall – I do recommend this product for asthma and pet owners, such as myself, particular living on a main road. but the diffuser seems “pointless” as it thinks its “GAS pollution” and “cleans” it out of the air. – I cannot say if the hj-biotics works, as i dont have air testing equipment to see if the “antibacterial” properties work – its also unknown if this can be harmful to people or pets as i cant find much info, so i only use it overnight when i go to bed in another room

Great sensor, great air purification. POOR app currently, diffuser SCENTS are pointless
