Purchased a month or so ago and no problems so far. Fitted onto wall easily and helps tidy up at the end of the day. Can be easily taken down so will remove over winter. Defintely recommended.
As a widowed pensioner I ordered this item for ease of use. It is not full assembled & I find it impossible to assemble the handle. Piece G will not go into the spindle & I’m not a weakling. It will be a pain every time I need to reel in the hose.
After using it a few times I realise I had made a mistake in not purchasing the wall mounted version.
I’ve had this for a while now and its a joy to use. Its not broken or stopped working. I was originally considering the auto model and I now don’t think its needed. Although its not cheap, I think its worth the enjoyment I get when I use it, it makes retracting the hose easy and hassle free.
It also detaches from the brackets on the wall, so it easy to bring indoor during the winter.
Got fed up of using expandable hoses that deteriorate and fail after a few years, other hoses just do not last, don’t t roll up properly and you have to drag them around. This is easy to move around and does not tangle when winding the hose as it has a feature that guides the hoses side to side

The winding mechanism is easy but occasionally the hose gets stuck when extracting and needs jiggery pokery to get it to unwind
Very easy to use , durable hosepipe , much cheaper on Amazon then Homebase or B &Q

A little pricey but great hose pipe. I have this one and the one with the auto-rewind function which is pricier still. The winding up can be a bit of a pain but overall a great hose. Installation is pretty simple. As with most hoses, it is prone to ‘kinks’. Feels pretty sturdy.

I’ve brought this version of hose lock years ago. New one a deliberate choice when previous one became too old to use.
I did not install it but certainly is excellent to manoeuvre and has great rewind.

Love how flexible it is to use this and great that the hose is protected. Putting it together wasn’t as easy as expected though. Instructions could also be cleare
I can now water my garden with ease by this reel which is so easy to rewind, well worth the extra cost over the old free standing reel & hosepipe. Will now rarely use a watering can & will save me so much time & effort through the summe
Does what it is meant to – fitted as a replacement to an older unit (had it for ages), even fitted on original brackets. The last one lasted for 15 years (with one hose swap), so good value.
Replacement for previous model. Rewinds almost as well as the original versio
Working >1 year later, so it is reliable. The ability to auto roll it back in will protect it from frost damage. Easy to fix to the wall

Does as you would expect – easy ish to assemble straight forward and robust – whilst not the cheapest, you get what you pay for & is robust – screws that come with it are not long enough for wall mounted but had some so no issue -Pleased

Very well constructed, very easy to use and all neat and tidy, I love it!
Our rear garden heads about 30 metres up a slope of about 40% and traditional floor based hoses have been a nightmare. Because this is fixed to our rear wall near the tap, pulling it out from a number of metres away is easy with no risk of toppling or pulling on the tap connection and winding it back in is also quite easy.

I bought this to replace an older unit, that my parents use.
As this is pretty much self contained, we needed something less fussy and this fits the bill.
It is a soo easy to reel in and when you pull the hose its on a racthet.

Fortunately my space on the wall near the tap was fine to accommodate this but it occurred to me that not much was mentioned about checking this before purchase, or if it was, I missed it.

Winds back into the reel fairly easily, the auto-laying feature is really good.
I did have an issue where the end was not attached properly when it first came so it came off when I first used it, soaking me, but once I had fitted it back on I have had no problem since.
Its a good hose, gets water to where I want it to go, not sure what else I could say about it.
Been wanting a wall reels for years, finally bought this as I live in a bungalow so needed a long one, this does the job really well, unreels easy and is easy to reel back in, taken all the hard work out of watering the garde
Loved the ease of assembly for someone who is not very practical. The hose and container it winds up in are made of robust material so it looks built to last. So far it does what it says on the tin and I am more than happy to recommend.

This is heavy to lift and effort is required to wind the hose back in, but it seems to work well overall.
The hose arrived without the connector pipe advertised on Amazon and and the box itself, as others have reported. A quick email to Hozelock customer services resulted in no response, but a replacement connector pipe arrived by post 2 days later.
It arrived before scheduled date. It is effective, looks neat on the wall and is well put together.

This item is not cheap, but it’s quality makes it worth the price. The hose itself is of good quality but the mechanism that allows you to wind it up makes it happen with very little effort and with no jamming etc. There are some things worth paying a little extra for and this is one of them.
After 15 years of constantly using the foreunner to this device which, only through wear and tear over a long period, needed to be replaced. As the longevity was so impressive, we bought the same model albeit updated which not only looks good, but was easy and quick to install using exactly the same replacement wall drillings. I would thoroughly recommend this product which hopefully will last another 15 years.

I bought this hose reel a couple of years ago for my business. It has taken a lot of abuse, been dropped out of the van many times, subjected to corrosive bleach, pulled out and reeled in 700+ times and still keeps working. The hose hasn’t shown any signs of wear , kinked or snagged in the reeling mechanism.
Looks fine and winds the hose in with ease but does not unwind quite so easily.
We had to place it under a window so higher up would be better if possible.
Really impressed with this, had it for almost a year and it still works and looks good.
The hose is good quality, it does kink occasionally but not badly.
The reel does make a difference and is so easy to use.

great job as I bought this for a replacement of the older type. its brill.
Used a few times now. Well made. Works well. Hose is smaller diameter than previous hose, but very flexible. I suspect the position of the hose guide is important to ensure smooth winding in. 40m length is ideal. Nothing adverse to report.
Love my new hose. Anyone with simple very basic DIY skills could mount it on a wall. Ensure it’s a brick wall for the weight and when being used.
Hose glides in and out of main unit with ease, no annoying twisting unit glides from left to right to allow hose to roll on evenly. Takes seconds to wind in full length of hose
Practical garden unit, easy to install albeit you have to drill into your brickwork to secure the mounting bracket. Once your bracket is secure just place the hose unit on it. It is easy to remove during the winter for safe keeping, This is the second unit purchased over the years, recommended.

Simple to install using easy to follow instructions, tidy, and the 40m hose is easy to pull out and wind back. Easier to unwind as much hose as you think you will need at the tap point rather than walking 40m pulling the hose with you. No problems so far is doing what it is supposed to do
his was a replacement for our old Hozelock hose pipe and reel, had that for approx 14years and would still be using it if it wasn’t 3mtrs short for what we wanted, it is still in good condition and I am wondering what to do with it.
Very Useful for watering my very big garden .All my plants are now being watered with this hose.well worth buying.
The 40 mtr hose enables me to reach all parts of the back garden. It is quite flexible and seems to be free from the annoying kinking of lesser quality hose. The winding handle is mechanically geared so that it remains easy to rewind the full length of hose even when full of water. I’m also impressed by the guide through which the hose passes. It has rollers that enable the hose to be pulled easily at any angle from the wall. I’m very satisfied with this product, which was delivered promptly and well packaged.
Bought this to replace one I’ve had for years and the winding mechanism finally went. I have no regrets about this cart. I like the manoverability of it. It’s neat, tidy, and stable. I just need to find out why it drips on the tap end and the end where it connects to the cart. No big deal, just a bit annoying. Hate being beaten. Maybe just needs to be tightened more,Anyway, I can’t water my garden without my lovely cart. Love it. Highly recommend.
It has certainly helped with the watering – the only thing is a find I have to pull the hose quite hard to get it to its full length. Once it is out though, all is well and it reels back in again very easily.

This is a very user friendly hosepipe. It is easy to install and my husband is really pleased with it. Having bought a free-standing model when we moved house a year ago, my husband was getting increasingly frustrated with winding it up without it getting twisted and how untidy and dangerous it was leaving it out. Problem solved now, wish we had bought this model at the outset!
Good hose comes complete with all you require to use it. It allows the flexibility of making it longer by substituting the connection hose with a longer one
Similar comments to others. It is my second Hozelock garden hose system but it does not appear to be as robust as the previous model. Hose kinks relatively easily which is irritating. The original reinforced hose did not kink, at least for a couple of years. Last one I had lasted for about 15 years so will be interested to see how long this one will last.
This is my third one of these. The first lasted many years. I now have two in the garden. One for the main garden and the other for car washing etc

Very easy to fix to wall. Easy to pull out and rewind. This item makes watering the garden easier and safer for us older people. No more pipe loose in garden to fall over. So quick and easy to wind up.
The garden hose is extremely good. As we’ve had a lot of rain since purchase it certainly hasn’t been over-used but when it is used the hose is extremely easy to unwind and rewind. The only downside is it is quite difficult to assemble and one of the screw holes wasn’t in the right place. As it comes on a trolley it is extremely easy to move around.
I have tried so many hose pipes in the last 2 to 3 years without any luck, i am quite sure that i have now got it righ
Best hose I’ve ever bought – wish I bought it ages ago – so easy to use once assembled and I know it’s not going to split like all my others have. So quick to wind and put away!
Despite the extended fitting process needed for this we found this worth it and what we needed for garden. Best price here and no more tangled hose for us!
This one stores in a small space over winter. It was heavy so I measured the hose and cut off the excess. Very easy free running system and one I am glad I bought. Excellent delivery by dpd
