This was our third attempt to find the right hose reel. Doesn’t tangle, easy to unreel and reel back, easy to install and durable. This does it all. I just wish it would stop raining so we can use it more!
This product is easy to fit, if you are a reasonable DIY person. The wall mounted device lifts off to store over winter or when not required and slots back on when required, water attached with hozelock push on connectors in seconds.I have t he 40metre hose which effortlessly pulls out of the cartridge and allows access to all parts of my large garden. Good value for money this replaces the previous model which I used for about 8 yrs without incident.
lovely smooth winding in and out – this used to be a daily nightmare with the old cart and the hose used to tangle and jam so that the water mostly came out by the tap end. This is smooth tangle free hose winding and the water flows easily – wonderful!
This is a quality product which replaced an earlier one that we had for over 10 years. An improvement is that the hose does not kink and is very quiet and easy to rewind. We have a south facing garden. It would be nice if there was a suitable easy fit cover to stop the sun and weather degrading the plastic over time.
Having had a number of hose reels over the years which were not wall mounted, I decided it was time to do it properly and buy one that a) had a long enough hose for the tasks I needed it for, and b) that was fixed on a wall. I found this reel to be very straightforward to mount on our garage wall, and the hose itself unreels and can be wound up really easily which makes it a pleasure to use. I particularly like the fact that it has a case to cover the reel as this stops the hose itself getting dirty or wet from bad weather. Overall, very pleased with the purchase.

This hose is so easy to use. The long length enables me to reach the whole of the front and the back garden. It is so easy to wheel about, connect and wind up. Really pleased with this and would highly recommend. Great value for money.
Generally works well and was pretty easy to fit as long as you have the tools etc .the lock does not appear to work that well and just clicks when you try to pull the hose out when it’s locked so not sure if its working and instructions are not very detailed??
A great reel that is easy to install (as long as you have as drill and drill bits of course), easy to use and seems to be very well built. It has made watering our garden and pots much neater and easier.

I replaced my old hose with this and I did a fair bit of shopping before selecting and I am glad i did.
It was very easy to install. I use a hose daily to take care of live stock and maintain my spa, great interchangeable nozzle, easy to rewind back to the hub and hopefully it will give the hose some protecting in the winter months. High quality, durable product.

Really does not tangle up and with 40m of hose that is unexpected, need to grease a little as quite hard to pull out otherwise. good value for money, cheapest I could find on Amazon.

A nice wall mounted hose reel. Easy to fix to the wall, very quick and easy to use. Watering had always been a chore with the old reel and stand, this reel makes it simple and keeps the hose nice and tidy.
Wow this is brilliant. Took my husband about 10 minutes to put the handle on, as it didn’t want to slide the grey plastic top, he had to us a soft hammer. Using this is great but just remember to pull it out straight and when rolling back in lay the hose out straight, release the tap end of the hose and it winds in beautifully. Quite heavy but no problem wheeling it around to put away.
I’ve had this for 4 years now installed outside in my garden. Its a very tidy solution for a garden hose. I don’t use it as often as I would like to but it hasn’t had any problems, no leaks or issues with reel. The reel automatically layers the hose as you wind it up so it always fits in. The hose guide is very useful to fit underneath the reel and makes unwinding/winding easier.
This is the third one of these I’ve had. Very good except the rewind mechanism fails too quickly and cannot be replaced. About a four year life for my usage..
Superb assembly- feels like a slightly thinner hose than I was expecting- so flow ‘slightly ‘ less but fits all standard Hozelock parts of which the full needed bits are included! Lovely to wind in when properly mounted – good value for the money – thanks
Fixed to wall,plumbed in all within 5 or 6 mins no problems whatsoever,hozelock quality as always had the last one over 15 years an expecting this to last longer……
fine decided on this model after reading the reviews saying the retractable model packed up after 5 years, thought and hope this model will last longer !
I bought this item to replace an existing one whose return spring had stopped working after many years of helpful service. I hope this one does not go the same way, but I will take the manufacturers advice and put it away in Winter.
I like the fact that it can be reeled out easily and winding in is simple.
I think the locking of pulling the hose out a bit fiddly as you need cross head screwdriver to move the locking lever. Could this be replaced by a spring loaded righrangeld thin bar.
Can’t believe I got this for the price I did . 40m, easily retracted and pulled out. Hung up on wall. Plenty of connections and instructions. Easily removed from side of wall for use in different locations. Excellent delivery also.
Very happy with this purchase and value for money
Very good, and, at the time, was very good value, (about 60 if I recall correctly, in 2014). But one must guard against pulling too hard when it is fully “out”, in order to ensure the hose stays well anchored, otherwise a small leak can occur.

Very good product which means you can take the main hose reel away when either not in use or perhaps during very cold weather. The wall fitting seemed a bit flimsy but is not – the actual brackets are solid with decent screws into the brick wall providing a strong support for the heavy reel (40m of hosepipe is heavy). Decent instructions which helped make it clear what the optimum positioning is. The pipe itself is what you would expect – hard to kink or bend inappropriately.
Just started using the cart so only four stars as yet, but can honestly say that this looks like being one of the best garden tools I’ve ever bought. Tried the expanding hoses that only last a year. Getting older, so carrying full watering cans around my large-ish garden became a chore. It was fairly easy to assemble and is simple to operate. Best of all a really good deal in comparison to prices in garden centres. Recommended.
Delighted with life now. So much easier to have a wall mounted hose. I gave it 4 stars because if you wind it (manually) too fast the hose gets swallowed up and you’ve to fish it back out and slot it back in, otherwise I love it.
After previously having a hose that you had to manually roll up this is sheer luxury. Very easy to roll in and out, use it daily to hose down muddy paws, a godsend!!

The hose pipe is strong and doesn’t bend like so many other pipes do. The unit is reasonably large, but it is compact, so it is as small as it can be.
The rewind mechanism is amazing. All in all, I think this product offers great value for money
It’s a good quality item. Lost one star because when you are pulling to unreel the hose, the base sometimes moves too.
Wheels back up really quickly with no having the feed the hose onto the spindle which is exactly what I was after. However, you have to hold it quite firmly whilst you wheel it in as its not attached to anything so it can be helpful to have someone help untangle the hose and bring it towards you whilst you do it.
A good product – would have been nice if they had provided a paper drilling template though.

Finally, my unit was grey and yellow, not green as pictured. Not that I’m bothered 🙂
The 40 m length meant that there was no more issues with will it or won’t it reach places.
Being on a stand with wheels is a no brainer for ease of use and access.
Should have bought this a long time ago instead of struggling with shorter/cheaper/flimsy models.

Very easy to assemble out if the box, just a few simple screws and you’re up and running.
I got a bit fed up with having a hose permanently running the length of the garden, so invested in this. I really pleased with it. My garden is about 90 feet long, and it is more than long enough. It is nice to wing it back up, knowing it won’t kink, and it only takes about 25 turns of the handle.
For a DIY person with little experience it was an easy installation. Looks good on the wall and the 40m length is excellent. If you have arthritus or weak hands / arms it can be a challenge to retract the full 40m but i found it easier if you de pressurise the hose before retracting.
Just what I was hoping for and as described. Really pleased as easy to wind and unwind.

Seems like a good buy, not used it too much yet but looks well made, easy to set up, though if I remember the instructions weren’t all the legible but you don’t really need them.
Nice hose with everything enclosed to no untidy hose lying around. Needs to be mounted onto something sturdy as its a fair weight as you would expect with a 40m hose and it also comes with a hose guide which is handy. Happy with it although I would recommend upgrading the end nozzle to a better quality metal one.
I hummed and arred about this product for a while, should I get the automatic winding one or this manual.
Take my advice, but the manual one, it’s cheaper and it’s simple to use and operate. It’s been brilliant and can’t fault it at all. Will take it in for the winter so that the frost doesn’t crack the plastic insides.
Good hose reel. Would have been better with 15mm hose rather than 12mm as this reduces the pressure however with the larger hose I suspect there would be a capacity problem holding the same length of hose. It would have been good to have some way to lock it to the wall bracket to make it more secure.
Neat and tidy solution to hosepipe spaghetti. Easy to install. Hose kinks when it is wound out of the reel but it isn’t especially problematic. The whole mechanism sounds a bit plasticky so I’m not sure how long-lived it will be for a heavy duty cycle.
This hose is the best I have ever used! It’s so easy, from putting it together (just the handle and hose fittings) to actually using it. Stays in one place whilst you pull out just enough hose for what you need, then when your done easily winds away with no kinks! Even has places on it to store the two hose ends (one that connects to the tap and the end you use) Don’t make the same mistake as me and buy a separate hose to tap connector, as you don’t need it. Everything you need is in the box!
Wish we had bought this before at least 2 failed attempts with the expanding hose. This is robust and easy to wind back, just what’s needed. With a long garden it has been really difficult to find the right hose which works without too much effort, and this does exactly that. Heartily recommended well worth the money.
I have had bad experiences with the long garden hoses before. Once they are pulled out to their full extent it’s sometimes a nightmare getting them back on the reel. Have been using this one for some time now and it hasn’t jammed once and when its pulled out to nearly it’s full extent, to go round the front of the house, I’m not left standing with no water coming out, as the reinforcement is good and it doesn’t kink readily. I’ve finally got a good one.
All the great reviews definitely made my mind up, always read reviews when buying a product, have a 140ft garden and hose extends to the end, pulls out and rewinds effortlessly. Fed up with old hose all over patio, excellent product and no one minds watering the garden now, am going to purchase another for my parents, just wished I’d purchased years ago. Definitely recommend

The main drum slots into a bracket about 2-3 feet above the ground, with the hose guide inline and below it.
Very easy to unroll the long hose and then use the handle to wind it back in, though I always run it back through a cloth to get rid of grass cuttings and other detritus.
Also comes with a tap kit, hose connectors and watering hose.
Looks great once put up and very neat, stylish and compact design.
REALLY GREAT PRODUCT
Up until now I had used an old hose and reel, which kept getting tangled, this product though is really great. It was easy to put on the wall (clear and precise instructions). It is a joy to use because as you wind it back, no matter how much length you have used, it lays in precisely so there is no tangled hose the next time you need it.
I was a bit wary about spending out this item as i have been a bit unlucky with hose reels in the past.
This one is brilliant.
As long as you attach it firmly to a wall and use the brackets as it describes in the literature then the reeel unwinds and winds back up very easily.
I have used it with water in the pipe and pressure released and it works fine both ways.
This services my 130 foot rear garden and the front garden from the one water point.in the back garden.
Good quality hose for a change as well
Already had one of these for over ten years but was starting to show signs of wear so bought this tas a replacement. Easy to install and easy to unwind and rewind always keeping the hose tidy. If this lasts as long as the old will be very pleased.
Needed a new hose, this one is compact, 40m long, easy to wind, kink free, and is made from strong material. I recommend buying a multi spray adapter though as there isn’t one included and your roses would prefer a gentle spray instead of the jet. Bring it in in the winter.

this hose that I bought from amazon is the second one the first one was an Auto 20meters bought in 2010
that was ok but this one is much better I’m amazed that reading some reviews on this site saying its too hard to reel up …Rubbish !!! its much easy then tne first one I had its easier to reel up the secret is pull it all out do your cleaning (I do vans an cars my own c.v) pick up the hose pull it near the reel then reel it in Simple.less then 60 seconds
I give this 5 stars as it was excellent value for money. Easy to fit and I am a disabled pensioner but instructions were good,just wish they would show more than pictures. Some words would have been even more helpful. I would recommend this to anyone needing a 40 meter hose. I was impressed as to how easy it was to wind it back by hand, (even my wife found it simple).
Ordered this hose pipe as i was fed up of my untidy hose pipe that didn’t have a housing, ordered this and was absolutely delighted with the quality and and easy to install product. Delivery was fast, next day after ordering. Would recommend this hose to everyone who needs a tidy, quality product.
No more tangled hose in the garden. Everything you need comes in the box. Is now fitted to the back wall of our house and is easy to lift off the bracket. Winding the hose in after use is a dodle. A very neat bit of kit. I brought one for my villa in Kefalonia and it was sent without a problem. It is neat and rolls in and out like a breeze. It has a configuration whereby you just put two large screws in the wall and it slips on. Easy to take off in the winter and store. Brought another one they are so good and great looking.
Considered getting the “auto reel” version, but the articulated bracket/ arm makes the reel stick out too far when flush to the wall.
40m is a great length, as long as you turn the water of first it rewinds very smoothly. Comes with bracket for the hose to feed through an d when off is a very neat package. Worried about the weight for the bracket but a year on, still solidly on the wall

I thought this product is exactly the right solution for my garden.
Although it doesn’t self rewind there is less to go wrong.
The self layering means you can just rewind without paying too much attention.
This would suit virtually anyone with a garden of any size.
It is lovely to have a hose that packs away after having hoses trailing in the garden for years. I have only used it half a dozen times and I am really hoping the winding mechanism gets easier as I find it quite stiff. I also found I had to unwind and rewind on one occasion when the hose got stuck. It is also quite noisy to wind and unwind which I wasn’t expecting but again, with use I hope this loosens up and runs more smoothly.
Replaced my previous hose with this, the rolling up action is much better, being auto-guided into place, and being enclosed from the weather means that the hose doesn’t get affected by the weather when not in use, which extends the life of the hose. Comes with a corner guide to allow you to run the hose around the corner of the house without damaging the exterior on the bricks. Would recommend one of these if you have the space.
he best bit of the hosepipe is the amazing connections it has . One does not have to close tthe tap. With its amazing closing and opening the connection is simply by easy manouvering.Also the connectors have different strengths of power water flow. I have rheumatoid arthritis and cannot manage to roll my old hose pipe up so it used to lie in a mass tangle on the garden. Someone in hospital mentioned the hose lock wall hose to me and said how easy it was to turn the handle to rewind. I was very sceptical about buying one but I went ahead. It’s one of the best items I’ve got. If your thinking of getting one BUY NOW you won’t be disappointed.

The reach seems further than the 40 m i bought in fact i thought it was 60 so that is to say it goes a long way if you haven measured the distance like me.
There is a bit of dripping from the tap end as if the fit could be better.
We shall see but for what I need it for. . . watering a new garden. . . it certainly fits the bill.

I have a long garden, an open back, so needed something of a decent length,that I could keep indoors. Even though not much to this, the instructions to put this together was wrong, and I stuck to the instructions, until this became obvious! The product is a decent size and a bit heavy, but does the job really well. Well made quality product.
A well made reel with 40m of hozelock anti-kink hose with smooth action run out through supplied roller-bracket. Screwed to the wall it provides a solid mount for the reel which winds back on to the reel with ease with a layering mechanism to ensure that the hose loads evenly without tangling. Well worth the cost.
Delivery was rapid ahead of time and it was well packed.
Hopefully this will be a very useful addition to help me in the garden.

The only thing stopping me giving a 5 star rating I don’t think the actual hose is top quality and for the price I think it should be.
The first time of using it wanted to “kink” and it still wants to in the same place, so be careful on this, hopefully yours will be ok.
Comes with all the fittings and mounting brackets for installation. Mounting instructions provided are rather basic giving dimensions for mounting bracket height from ground but not spacing of bracket holes. Using the bracket as a template is not ideal.
Hose reel works well and using the provided hose guide plus others for wall corners allows the hose to reel out easily over the full 40 metre length. Releasing the water pressure on the hose makes reeling in easier.
Arrived one week earlier than originally planned – which was good. After checking that all parts were in the box it was fixed on the wall per instructions in about 80 minutes (quicker for someone with better DIY skills). We have used on a number of occasions since and all works fine as intended. Reeling in is so easy and the tap area can now be kept tidy and trip free.
This is a very well made product. I bought this one as an exact replacement for one which I had bought many years ago and used a lot. It is extremely easy to pull out the hose and to rewind it. The hoselock connectors enable you can remove the sprayer attachment and connect it to a patio cleaner. The long hose is very convenient.
This hose reel avoids having tangled hose all around the garden. It is easy to pull the hose out and has a winder to pull it back in again. One slight negative is that the hose reel can slide when you are pulling the hose out, but it does not if you are less exuberant. Vey good piece of effort saving equipment.
What a great item. So easy in every way to use, my wife finds it well within her ability to operate. (I am disabled). Even winds round conservatory with no sticking. I upgraded the tap fitting and the spray gun, which made it even easier. I do advise leaving the gun “open” when finished this makes it easier to rewind, The water drains out as you wind in. I am amazed at the price, found nothing as cheap as this offer. Well done Amazon!
Bought this to hang on the outside wall. All fittings suitable for the job and hangs well, Solid hose that doesn’t tangle and is good enough to power a pressure washer without issue. Treat yourself to a new spray head as the one that comes with it is a bit old school but still works ok.
This hose is the best purchase ever. Its price is less than half of anywhere else you would look. It is a great length. Our outdoor tap is at the rear of the property but this hose goes all the way around with more to spare. Its tidy as it is enclosed in its own case which is wall mounted. It doesn’t kik. I would highly recommend to anyone.
Because this reel is solid and a reasonable weight it doesn’t fall over when you pull the hose out. The easy-rewind mechanism is wickedly good. The hose does not kink and is long enough to reach to the front of my house. The hose nozzle works well and does not leak – so the garden tap can be left on for convenience.
Best price I found and was delivered quickly. Good fitting instructions, rear bracket a little flimsy but strengthens once screwed in place. Water pressure is good even without unreeling any hose, rewind action is very good and doesn’t take to much effort. I would recommend marking the hose with a marker pen to show the maximum reel out position saves damaging the hose reel mechanism.
ice product,glad i purchased this item,however when fitting it back to to wall make sure that when you connect the hose from the main water supply to the reel that this is complete with a rubber ferrel or water will leak down the back of the reel, mine was missing fortunately i had a spare once this was fitted all was fine
After years of connecting a hose to the kitchen tap and running it through the hallway to the front of the house to wash my car I decided to get an outside tap fitted along with a wall mounted hose. I went for this one and I’m so glad I did. It’s simple to attach to the wall and extremely easy to wind back in.
If you do need to get around corners I would recommend purchasing another one of the hose guides.

I bought this for my husband. The water tap is in our back garden and he washes the car in the front of the house. When he used the old hose wheel he would unwind it fully and there would be loads of spare hose all tangled up in the garden. Now he uses just what he needs and no tangled mess or kinks in the hose. With it being wall mounted it takes half the time to unwind and then rewind compared to our old manual hose wheel. Love it…
works perfectly. got it on a really good deal too. before purchase i was worried about rewinding the hose and tangling. well folks not to worry coz it has an internal system which stops any tangling. i also read its not easy rewinding if u pull all of the hose out, well once agian dont worry coz i live in a flat i always pull it out fully and rewinding is not hectic at all. for best result get some one to release the hose in a staright line while you rewind.
The title says it all – need the hose for 5 minutes? Just pull out as much as you need then wind it back up once complete with total ease! The reel action requires no effort to extend or retract and the water pressure isn’t affected if you only partially extend the hose.
The supplied hose and fittings are all excellent quality, as is the bracket to mount the reel and the hose guide.
Simple and very effective
After ordering this item on July 26 and selecting Prime service, it is now 31st July and I have yet to take delivery of the item. Apparently, HDNL (the delivery service that Amazon chose to use for a Prime Delivery)can not find my house !. I live 50 feet from a main High Street in Billericay. The HDNL people have tried to find my house for 3 consecutive days without contacting me to get directions. No other delivery company has ever had a problem finding my house. GPS is a standard for every delivery company EXCEPT HDNL which state that their drivers don’t have GPS systems. Finally have gotten through to HDNL and am scheduled to receive product today. Its a wonder they find ANYONE’s house!!! Very dissatisfied with Amazon on this.
By the way, the product is fantastic. Am replacing a much older model with this one after checking it out at a neighbour’s house.
Quickly received and easily mounted. Not having a lot of use at the moment – have a look at the weather forecast! – however during a trial run I was impressed with the length of the hose, it covered every corner of my largish garden with ease, non-kinking and the simple turning of the handle to recover the hose after use.
Can now use my new hose-pipe fully dressed, hair imaculate and ready for any unannounced caller! It takes no time to water garden, pack it away in its enclosed holder and is ready for use at any moment. Even my car has benefitted enormously although it would help if someone could think of adding the polish to the tap water. That really would be fantastic!!Buying the extra length is very important.
This item is brilliant, the hose whether attached to the supply or not, is light and easy to reel or un-reel, it doesn’t tangle.
The wall attachment for reeling out in all directions lives up to its description, it does go all ways.
The lock, which stops the hose being unreeled by children is a treat to have, do I have to say why?
I am not disagreeing with people who experience different problems with this item, but all I can say is. “Why I didn’t buy it before I just don’t know”.

This hose reel is very easy to use and reels in with hardly any effort. I am not very big and can manage it with no problem. My husband fitted it to the wall but used longer screws than the ones supplied. I was worried it would look to big and bulky on the back of the house but it actually looks okay and is quite neat. We are very pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone.
UPDATE-18 May 2014. Stored Hoselock away in garage for the winter. Got it out today and it has stopped reeling back in. Very disappointed. It has ended up being a VERY expensive hosepipe, only having been used in the summer months. expected better workmanship from Hoselock so I would now say to anyone SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. Shame on you Hoselock for using inferior components.
Delivered on time and all in order, very easy to fit to the wall and works a it should. Great if you need a long hose pipe for the garden and drive. It is as expected a bit bulky if you mount it on the wall but it can be removed with ease should the need arise. Good product.
A good product which does the job as advertised.
However, delivery on this occasion was not so good. Unusually I paid the extra to have first class delivery but because the chosen courier on this occasion demanded a signature (and didn’t leave a card), in the end it arrived at the normal free delivery time – and after the next item I ordered!
This is so much better and although others feel that you get your exercise when winding it up I don’t find it an issue at all.
However, what I do find more of a challenge is getting the hose out to the required length in the first place! This does require quite a lot of exertion and isn’t easy. Defintely remember to disconnect from the tap before doing this, which makes it a bit easier. I also recommend taking the connection off the watering end whilst pulling it out and winding it back up to save it banging along the ground and potentially getting damaged.
Overall though very pleased with this and would definitely recommend.
This hose was easy to fit on the wall, and got it out of the way of the path. I used it recently on the car. It was so easy to use, and did the job great. Makes me wonder why we never got it before.
I am not very technical-minded, so my husband checked out the dimensions of the hose etc. before I bought it, and it was a winner. Its not too expensive either. Thats what originally made me think it wasn’t any good, but happily it is good in all aspects!
