Battery last at least 2 weeks and the watch faces can be changed very easily to show a totally different watch face. Brilliant bit of kit.
I’m an iOS user but I never like design of the Apple watches that’s why I chose Huawei GT 3 which in my opinion is better looking. I’m happy about the watch specs such battery life, heart/sleep monitoring, activity tracker and screen is amazing. Problem come only with the Huawei Health app for iOS (iphone 12 pro)which is disappointing, have lots of bug’s when using the app lagging, synchronisation between app and watch many times have delays, gps map from watch is not available for iOS devices same as music controller ( I can’t use it on Apple Music or any other music streamer from my phone). Comparing with Huawei health app from android I or harmony os devices I have some important minuses. Facetes are limited also on my app.
I hope those issues will be fixed by Huawei in the near future
Bought this for my husband to replace his previous Huawei watch bought three years ago. He absolutely loves it.
Like the layout of apps. Would like to find new straps easier though.

This is one of the accurate smart watches I’ve ever had… Can’t seriously recommend it enough….
11 out 10 for reliability and quality build not to mention long life battery… I got 9 days out of 1st charge from out off the box.
And now I’m getting 11 days use before having to charge.
BRILLIANT WATCH
I bought the Huawei watch for my husband’s christmas, he likes it very much. He is amazed at the amount things it does. It has encouraged him to exercise regularly. A perfect gift for him.
All the features from the previous version are improved. Especially the heart rate monitor and the GPS accuracy and speed. More sport modes added and the welcome addition of the running ability index. The only negative note is that the sleep tracking although improved still feels a let down. Tracks the waking and sleep beginning much more accurately but the sleep cycles are still a miss half of the time.
Other features were also included to match the competition but nothing innovative.
The best fitness watch / app combo without a monthly subscription.
I’ve owned a Huawei Watch GT and a GT2. Decided to treat myself for Christmas to the new GT3. I also paid the extra 70 for the stainless steel version and it is well worth the upgrade! The quality of the stainless steel strap is really superb and definitely worth the cost increase over the more basic plastic strapped version.
The battery life is superb (but that’s what I expected after my experience with the older GT watch models) and the health tracking is greatly improved and much more accurate. I have a Nest Hub 2 that monitors your sleep via radar and it nearly always matches up to what my watch says.
I’m so happy with this watch, there are so many watch faces available and it’s updated regularly.
There is only one issue and it’s one that I’ve had with my other Huawei watch GT models – when my phone is connected to my car for Android Auto and I get a call, it won’t answer on the car. Instead the call gets routed to my phone and not even on loudspeaker. If I click to send it to Bluetooth it sends it to my watch instead of the car.
I don’t know if this is an Android Auto issue or with Huawei, but it’s a persistent and annoying issue. If I’m expecting a call whilst driving or want to make one I have to turn the watch off.
Just including it in the review as it may be an issue with the watch and not Android Auto itself.
Not often you come across a smart watch that looks so elegant. I upgraded my husband’s previous Huaweii W1 that he had and loved for 6 years, but due to charging pins wearing down it was becoming very difficult to charge. I brought this one which had a tad larger screen than previous one (46mm) and I must say was a bit nervous to see it so big on his hand. I shouldn’t, he got used to it and it looks great. Beautiful brown leather strap and elegant sleek design with watch faces to match. Not sure about it’s accuracy in tracking your exercise, sleep or heartbeat but my husband is not overly into fitness so is not interested massively in this side, but for sure is measuring something. One thing it does not have is the capacity to text back-which, in a weird way, the old one and basically first version of Huaweii smart watch it had. This is a big minus. One more minus: most of the apps are exercise related-not as diverse or as “android” as his old one. Plus it requires to create account on your phone on Huaweii Health App…it took us a while to set it up, pair it and install apps. Going back to positives: still able to answer phone and talk hands free, reading texts, the charging is now just a round magnetic platform without pins (so they can not wear down), oh, and did I say it looks amazing? It’s look beats all the negatives. Hopefully he will have it as well 6 years as his old one. For sure he is ecstatic with his Christmas present!
Watch was easy to setup once correct version of Huawei health app was installed. I’m very impressed with the health app itself, easily one of the best I’ve used. I use Strava and had to use a third party app Health Sync to upload my activities to it. Tracking activities so far seems to be spot on and Gps signal is quickly picked up.
Battery life seems to be excellent and close to what they claim, screen is bright and vibrant even when viewed outside
Plenty watch faces to choose from and the app selection is more than enough for me.
Harmony OS seems to be really snappy and can only get better as they add more features and improvements
Overall really impressed and pleased with my choice. Spent hours looking at reviews and YouTube videos before going for this.

Great fitness watch. GPS works very well and integrates with the HUAWEI Health APP with a very informative display.
Best feature for me is battery life. I achieve 10 days of active use on a single charge.

Has very limited app
Update: I later reactivated an old phone (Moto G8+) and found it would connect to this watch. While trying it out I noticed thst the Health app had just updated itself (to 12.0.10.315). With this new version, I could also connect to the pixel phone.
So,after trying it out for a few days the main claims – of improved HR and GPS accuracy – seem to be credible. I have compared the HR with a Polar Verity Sense armband and the GPS was 20m out on a 2KM walk (1% error).
More generally, the screen is good and the touchscreen operation very smooth. In the UK, the choice of watchface is limited to the free set shown in the Health app but there are quite a few of them and I managed to find some that I liked.
The Health app is similar to the Garmin Connect and the watch provides more or less all the measurements that are on the Venu 2 but at a lower price. As with the connect app, the data can be funnelled into Google Fit using the spearate Health Sync app.
Thus I have rescinded my intention to return it and increased the star rating to 4.
