This is sturdy and will till a large area in no time at all. No more hours of back breaking digging. The long cable is really helpful and reaches easily to the back of my garden. The 6 blades help give it stability and keep it on track. Thoroughly recommended

Perfect for garden. Had a big job, levelling grass, gravel, and patio sand bases. Did a great job levelling and loosening area, before we compacted and added topsoil for turf. 10/10 – everyone wants to borrow it!

Probably the best thing I have bought on Amazon – it is powerful and tough and has made light work of turning over our garden, rocks, half-bricks, lumps of concrete it just digs them up and chucks them out. To be honest I thought we would kill this in an hour – but it is incredible. So much so, my son who runs a landscape business, is planning on buying one. Definitely recommend !

I had 450 square mts of heavy clay soil to rotivate and I wasn’t really expecting this little machine to cope with it but it was a lot cheaper than hiring a bigger one for 5 or 6 days so I thought I’d give it a go. Just kept going, throwing up the biggest of stones and rocks. Job complete and still going strong

First time of use the on switch button broke. Before it broke it was very effective although some strength is needed to hold onto the machine. The customer service was excellent and they quickly picked up the broken machine and replaced it with a new one.

After hours of back-breaking forking soil like concrete, I ordered this out of desperation and didn’t think it’d be tough enough. Despite being quite physically light, it’s so far eaten 40m2 of rock hard vegetable beds and turned it into light, fluffy soil. I was worried it’d not be upto the job, but it’s a plucky beast and seems more than upto the job. It took 6 minutes to assemble and despite perceptions, it’s so far bullet-proof.

Such a great product! Made digging up my garden so much easier!

    Rocks? No problem!
    Clay soil? No worries!
    Wet soil? Who cares!

Its not great on hard soil as it just bounces around, so if you have heavy clay soil best to wait until a couple of days after its rained so the soil is damp but not boggy or rock hard (if its too wet the mud just sticks to the blades and clogs everything up). Other than that, this thing chews through soil like butter, even if its full of stones!

P.s. it can kick some rocks about so I’d make sure children and dogs aren’t nearby when using this and probably wear some gloves and goggles. Also don’t wear shorts, this will cover your feet/shins in soil so best to wear appropriate attire.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersArrived in a well packed box, came with instructions no need for instructions as all you do is attach the wheels, handle and frame the rest is already built, but the instructions are for a full assembly so you may have to find each step to attach each piece. Before using the tiller on your ground, if it is dry soak 2-3 days before use it will help, expect a strong pull from the machine, you just have to hold it,don’t run with it, hold till it penetrates the ground then slowly walk, expect lots of bounces it will bounce high, bounce left and right, I mean everywhere, you can release the trigger reposition and try again ,just means the blades are spinning fast and hits the top ground so it will bounce till it’s penetrates the soil, it will also bounce hard when it’s in the ground, that’s the blades hitting big stones, rocks, boulders, if it continues to bounce, and you’ll hear a distinctive sound you know the machine is struggling you may have to dig out the rock by spade you’ll break the blades if you try and force it, take your time and wear goggles, it can go through grass but I recommend the grass to be short as long grass will wrap around the blades and jam it. happy with the product does the job, takes out big bricks only half way through the garden, so it’s keeping up with the hard use. Our soil is made up of clay, rocks, builders rubble, and some top soil they used it was really compacted dow

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great, couple of things to note

I purchased this tiller to replace a very old cumbersome Merry Tiller rotavator, which was very difficult to control. The power of this machine is more than enough to deal with tilling my large vegetable patch, producing great conditions for vegetable. The machine is sturdy and easy to control. Highly recommended.

Absolutely delighted with this purchase, it arrived super quick for a large item, and got used the very same day and it did a fantastic job of turning the ground in our veg patch very finely, would highly recommend

Yes, I am pleased with my purchase. It does the job. Powerful enough and heavy enough for what I want. Not so heavy that you can’t pick it up and carry it. The wheels are handy though, and easy to clip out of the way during use.
Roots and grass tend to get tangled around the tangs so be prepared to spend time dealing with that. I think that would be a problem with whatever machine you buy.
I can cover a lot more ground than I would just using a spade.
Is it worth the money? Yes I would say it is. It’s earning it’s keep and making life easier for me.

Worked over 150 sq.m in prep for a wild flower meadow next year. It encounted many large stones and bits of brick and it powered on through. Was worried that it might be a bit too lightweight for the job but really pleased I bought this rather than hire a bigger model for the weekend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIn the past I have used petrol cultivators – some good, some not so. Using a cultivator always tends to be a bit of a battle, petrol cultivators are heavy and can be difficult to manouver. The electric machine is as powerful as the petrol and a lot lighter making it much easier to handle. I used it (carefully) to remove turf and cut a couple of new beds in a fraction of the time it would have taken me without a cultivator. My garden is on the top of a ridge and is very stoney, it deals with all this with ease. My only criticisms are the clips to secure the electric cable are useless and have replaced them with cable ties and I would like the trigger to be an accelerator rather than an on/off switch – I think this would make it easier to use.

I found it difficult to use in beginning but once i had got the hang of it it made a hell of a lot of difference, in fact my garden looks great now. i removed any large stones or brick pieces from soil so has not to damage the blades the tiller then did a great job turning and breaking down the soil.

I have flowerbeds which are quite long and 6 feet wide.
It is great equipment to prepare the land for cultivation. Easy to assemble and weight is manageable 1 person can manage it easily and also foldable wheel helps to move around.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAlthough it does bounce when it hits roots which you would expect and you have to be careful it cuts though the soil very well and saves a lot of manual work with the spade and fork wish I bought one years ago even for a smallish garde

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersNever used a tiller before, this was my first experience. Very pleased with its performance. It manages to dig up firm to hard surfaces and copes well with stones, too. Seems like a quality product. I just hope the blade is sturdy and doesn’t get snapped up by a stone, as not sure if it’ll be covered under manufactures warranty?

I bought this electric tiller to break my back garden soil, it’s very powerful as into the soil I found many bricks and large rocks which the machine got them out. Amazing! As for the roots, mainly are cut, a few of them can get around the blades but this does not stop the job. I digg for about 14-17 cm deep.

Used it on our garden that the previous owners did little to and the cultivator attcked the root strew hard packed ground with gusto it takes a bit of hanging onto but it dug down deep

We’ve a relatively small garden but I love gadgets! A petrol rotavator would be too big big and far too heavy for the size of our garden, this is perfect. I was amazed how light it is and easy to move, it’s certainly no heavier than our electric lawnmower. At 1500 watts it’s plenty powerful enough for our soil. BUT do bear in mind this is really a tiller so useful for breaking down the soil ready for sowing. I did follow suggestions to dig the soil first. We have quite heavy soil with clay so I wouldn’t even attempt using the machine for the ‘first dig’ (others who have used a ’tiller’ for a first dig report burning out the motor or breaking the tines). Used with care this is perfect! Be prepared though, it is powerful and needs strong arms to keep under control!

This tiller works really well, it’s light and easy to manoeuvre and creates a nice fine tilth. It’s also great for digging potato trenches by moving it sideways. About the only downside is that there is no speed control so it’s a bit manic at times! A shame they didn’t fit a speed controller like on most other electric tools. Bare in mind that is fairly hard work using it but you get a lot done in a short time. Assembly is very easy and the lead is a decent length. All in all, well worth the money.

After being forced to bin my broken mantis petrol tiller, I took a punt on this 6 tone tiller.
I didn’t expect much from an electric motor but Wow its a beast!
Really surprised at its power – actually pulls harder than the Mantis.
cultivated 3 large dry heavy clay beds in an hour.
It has more power, 2 extra tines, cleaner engine ( no lire petrol, oil leaks or messing with spark plugs filters etc) lighter and a 1/3rd of the price of a Mantis.
After 10 years of petrol tillers, I’m a convert to Electric.
    This Tiller is superb
