This tap is top quality and just how it looks online.
Quality item at low cost — and the shower head gives out a good stream of water but isn’t fierce (like my old one, with water flying everywhere). Glad that I went with a name brand: all these Chinese items that are cheap – you’ve got no ability to get spare parts, have to get a plumber in to change it out so in fact they are the expensive option.
The tap is well made and very good quality. Sits well and looks like it might last for a long time
Was bought as a replacement. It was easy to install, it looks lovely and was great value for money.
I’ve always had a two hole shower tap in my new homes, however the one I have is a single hole. Took me 30 mins to replace and 15 of that was getting the bath panel off #diye
This is a good quality set of taps with connected shower hose. Comes with two shower attachment clips for either sliding the hose through or being able to remove. Very easy to fit.
Lovely set of bath/shower taps. Well made, stylish. They are easy to fit, sit up from the bath for easy cleaning. Once you have connected it to hot and cold water supply, you can turn the taps, and water flows. Nice taps and surprisingly good shower head and hose.

Very good shower mixer tap that (according to our plumber) is easy to install. Once in place, it looks great, and works very well, being sensitive (but not overly so) to when the temperature is adjusted, and giving off a good jet of water. Five stars.

Brother-in-law has a very similar slightly different model from Ideal Standard which is very good so was keep to try this as a replacement for our pretty old one in the downstairs shower room – really pleased with it as is brilliant quality for the price with a nice finish on the chrome which looks good, really easy for my partner to install and looks great as well as giving a good coverage and easy to get the temp just right. Would definitely recommend at this price as very pleased with it!
The product was a perfect plug and play replacement for the Ideal standard single bath tap. Hose was a good length to create an overbath shower height. Easy to install, works fine, smooth controllable tap operation and the performance as a shower is excellent because the water flow is high.

First of all, I have to say I like the brand as it’s been long established in the industry. Their quality and expertise is excellent. I am satisfied with their make and finishing when I open the box set.
The installation of it is not too hard. It is a direct replacement for my current one in the family bathroom. The single lever design is good to control water temperature. It gives two outputs, either through the tap or the shower. The showerhead is made of plastic. Some people might not like it but I am ok with it as it is easier for me to change to another type of shower head with more functions if needed. It just looks stylish and shinny after the installation and I like it very much.

Easy fitting, clear instructions, can either be mounted on a bath or the wall, basically you can’t go wrong with it.
They are really solid, I have strong water pressure so the shower is really powerful. No leaks or issues so far, No problems so far using it , kids love the fact that they can switch between a quick shower or a bath at the flick of a lever.
The only comment I will make is that the shower head is a bit light and easily dislodged but that doesn’t alter my opinion of the product being good value for money. For the price it’s worth a go.
I was pleased to get this, as we’ve bought an ex-display bathroom to convert our smallest bedroom into an en suite for the master and the one thing I didn’t like about the suite was the taps. I’d already managed to snag a Calista series basin tap when this came up for review, so now I have matching basin and bath taps.
I’m pleased with the smart, sturdy, easy to turn mixer tap and the neat, compact design. The shower head (and a clip to hold it) are both made from silver-coloured plastic rather than metal, so these could be nicer-finished, but generally I’m happy with this set.

This mixer seems up to the standard expected from ideal Standard. It isn’t thermostatic, of course, but that’s reflected in the price. At least the single lever makes it easy to adjust the temperature.
It comes with flexible tails, making installation as straightforward as you might hope, except that it isn’t top-fixing. If replacing an existing tap, you’ll need a suitable tap spanner. The connections are 15mm — if your pipework is 22mm, as it sometimes is for baths, you’ll need suitable adapters.
The pricing seems a bit random:
Single lever bath filler 56, dual control much more expensive, at 98.95
Single lever bath/shower mixer 111.95, dual control much cheaper, at 85
The dual control mixer dropped in price recently from 112 to the current 85, so maybe the single-lever one that I’m reviewing will too, if you’re not in a hurry.

This mono mixer tap with shower attachment in chrome plated brass is all you’d expect from a premium brand like Ideal Standard. It looks good – and has quite some weight to it. I imagine it will prove extremely durable given its evident quality. It is very easy to clean too – just a wipe over and it looks perfect.
I must be honest and say that plumbing and related sundries are very far from my natural fields of expertise so I can’t be much help as regards suitability for your particular needs or how it can be installed – I hired a qualified plumber. All I can say is that, once it’s installed, this Ideal Standard fitting looks great, works well and should enhance your bathroom.

It was easy to install, these things don’t seem to come with as many pieces as they used to, and it works well with our low pressure supply. When it comes to taps and other bathroom fittings, Ideal Standard is a name that has been around for a long time and is generally associated with reasonable quality. I checked this tap out to see if it was still the case.
First impressions were good as the tap itself is definitely sturdy and the chrome finish on the outside looks impressive. In terms of fitting, the dimensions were as expected so there were no nasty surprises and the relevant parts slotted in well. Usage wise, it is easy to adjust the temperature with a decent amount of flow while the move to shower works well also. The shower head and hose are fine but seem a little cheaper in finish than the rest of the tap.
Overall though this is a good tap and comes recommended from me.
If you need a mono tap with a shower attachment then you can’t really go wrong with this, the design is contemporary and the finish is exemplary. There are no blemishes and the fittings are easy to follow.
You be surprised at how difficult it is to find a mono tap with shower fixtures at the main dealers and this one does as it states, good flow too.
This is an excellent quality single lever bath shower mixer with the quality we’ve come to expect from ideal standard, I’ve used ideal standard products before and I’m always impressed with the quality and finish and Simplicity of the products, they are certainly built to last, this is no different in that sense.
I think it’s great that this comes with a 5 year guarantee for peace of mind and shows the quality and durability of this shower mixer , the hose is really good quality and a decent length, the chrome finish on the tap is very nice , a nice polished shiny finish with single lever operating, Simplicity at it’s finest and a superb quality shower mixer.
It does seem a tad expensive but you are getting a top quality product with good warranty and it’s built to last the test of time, I’d definitely recommend.
This contemporary Ideal Standard B1958AA Calista single lever bath/shower mixer tap has a chrome finish and comes complete with a 1.8m shower hose and showerhead. It is stylish and easy to fit and use and has a 5-year guarantee against any manufacturing defects. While the tap is weighty and very good quality, the showerhead feels very lightweight and plasticky so will doubtless require replacing in a relatively short period of time. We are delighted with this tap which works and looks well, has clear instructions for installing and also includes a wall mounting fitment for the showerhead if required. 4*
High quality set of a chrome finished single lever bath Tap with hose and shower head from a well known European brand: Ideal. The Tap itself looks really well made, featured with a 32mm installation hole which is the standard size for most of the sink/bath here in UK. It’s only a single lever with a handle on the tap which makes it easy to control the hot and cold water or find the best temperature. Just need to lift the handle on the top of the tap; higher you lift it, more water will flow out of it. The tap itself is heavy in weight, which is a good sign, it means that it’s made from good quality materials and sturdy, will last longer than a flimsy tap. Has a chrome finish, which is looks like a mirror when is clean and polished. Also featured with ABS bubbler which has two functions: flow regulator which will help you to do not waste too much water also enrich to water with air.
The hose is flexible enough and it’s2m long, combined with the shower head has an excellent water flow. Unfortunately, the shower head is just a simple one, it doesn’t have multiple spray mode. The body of the shower head is made from plastic but has a chrome coat on it to give a metal effect.
I’m happy with this set of bath tap, very solid construction and finish feels and looks like is a value for the money. Highly recommend using in residential and commercial properties as well.

First, the horizontal har shower faucet is quite heavy. It seems to be well made and good of quality, but it’s packed in an ordinary box and that pulled down its own value.
The faucet comes with two pipes ( cold + hot ). this is generally available, and there’s nothing special. From the naked eyes, the faucet and shower are no different from ordinary ones, but I can see that the long water pipe under the shower is different. It seems to be a kind of high quality plastic pipe. Compared with those ordinary water pipe, I prefer this one because it won’t ruse and is shiny.
What we usually see in dealers are two-bar bath faucets, and this product needs a matching single-hole bathtub to complete, so it’s quite difficult to get a single bar.
Overall, it looks expensive, but it’s great of quality and comes with a five years warranty, which is good and you will get what you pay for.

I was expecting a good product when I noticed they do a 5-year guarantee and I have not been disappointed so far, it’s high quality and I found replacing my existing single mixer shower with this as easy as undoing a bolt and changing it over so install wise if you already like I have a similar system is a breeze, so far it has been working well, the mixer tap is great and the level to switch between the shower head and tap doesn’t move once opened or closed, unlike my old version which was a pain.
All in all, this has been great and so gets top marks from me.
Ideal standard are extremely well established bathroom accessory manufacturer so I knew as soon as I opened it that I was looking at a well made and well finished product. The packaging itself left a bit to be desired, like Im not sure why all fitting components weren’t packed together in an easy to identify bag. After a thorough check I had everything needed in the box, so proceeded to fit. I am using it in a little bit of a non-standard way fitted outside our kitchen window on a custom made shelf so I can use it as a dog shower for after muddy walks. I have now used it and con confirm the thermostatic mixing is excellent and the easy to use tap/showerr lever works well. I was a little surprised with eh showered which seems incredibly basic compared to the quality of the tap unit and the hose, but it can be changed easily enough.

This looks very good and feels top quality. Running off one mixer tap makes it look better and less cluttered. It comes supplied with good quality pipes and fittings, and I like that a full set of spare parts is available in case the ceramic disc eventually wears out. The instructions cater for all languages and no words and all pictures so weren’t the easiest to follow instructions so my brother fitted it. I ordered this Ideal Standard B1958AA Calista single lever bath shower mixer tap for my bath.
My current tap is difficult to open /close and doesn’t have shower attachment, so it was a time for a change.
I wanted Ideal Standard tap as I have many stuff made by them to include sink in my bathroom.
I was a bit disappointed to be honest. The tap arrived in the tatty a little bit teared box. Inside I found all elements, but they weren’t presented/organised well.
I’ve ordered before a few unbranded taps and their presentation was much better, almost like a gift box, even white gloves were included to mount the tap.
The tap itself is heavy, seems to be well made without any imperfections. It is in a very nice, shiny chrome.
I like that it has ceramic discs, so should have a long life span.
The hose and shower head are just average simple design, can’t see the difference between my cheap hose and this one.

Easy to open/close the tap and to chose the right temperature of water.
Shower head has a good water pressure.
There was shower head hook included in the set, but because it would require screwing it to the ceramic tiles, I’ve used different universal hook on double sided tape – the fit and look is perfect.
Overall I’m happy as it is much better than my previous tap.
It might seem pricey, but it came with 5 years warranty what is great as most companies giving only 2 years.
I’m also happy that it covered/fitted on an old hole from the previous tap, it was difficult to find the perfect matching tap.
Works well, good quality, long warranty, easy to fit and pleasure to use, resonably priced, so I would happily recommend this tap.
I would recommend to the company to present it better, so it will feel premium after opening the box.

Replacement tap for a broken Ideal Standard tap that had lasted 30 years. Which is an amazing lifetime for a tao. I was surprised to find it was impossible to buy a mono mixer tap with shower attachment In any local bathroom showroom. Even the ones that claimed they had the biggest ranges in Uk or even Europe.
