Good item for security needs the pictures in day and night ar Good the motion detection is good
I know have 3 of these so easy to set up i can check the cameras on my phone i pad and laptop picture quality is fantastic even night vision Highly recommend this produc
slight delay in motion, picture is perfect at close range targets but blurred at anyone at a distance 30+ metre’s. facial recognition is not it’s best feature at a distance but it does the job needed for watching the back garden. picture is clear Night and Day.
Can’t comment on the software for these camera’s as I just use them to feed a cctv setup but for the price quality is good. With night vision you can clearly make out the face of someone within 5 meter’s.
Great product and i have a few of these already but sent these ones back as the arial in the back of one was lose. Apart from that these are great product and of course this was just a little issue and things like this happen.
The camera and the quality is perfect for our use. However, the motion even when on the lowest sensitivity is a nuisance. Every fly and insect that goes past is picked up 🙂 other than that its all good we just had to turn notifications off because of the motion sensitivity.
Good quality pictures and video night & day. Easy to set up.
Nice pack of 2 cams. Good price, easy to setup and reliable to use.
Straightforward setup. App easy to navigate. Picture quality good and simple to do quick playbacks and downloads. Only niggle is that still get false motion detection even when turn the sensitivity right down.
There is no night vision but all in they are the right size and easy to install
Nice quality security cameras easy to install and fantastic to be able to watch what’s going on via my mobile phone.
Managed to set these up, initially indoors and then installed them outside my house. Wireless connectivity works fairly well although there is some latency. Software seems comprehensive albeit in a slightly idiosyncratic quaint pigeon English way. Overall very good and would recommend.
With the app works well needs to be high up out of reach
For the novice of setting them up, directions could be easier. Though it’s a personal thought.
Pic quality very good. Worth it.I had a problem but this company were very helpful. Matter resolved. A reliable and honest undertaking
The cameras needed to be fitted by an electrician but once they are up there seems to be a good clear picture. We now need the SD cards in order for them to actually record, we hadn’t realised they didn’t record without the SD card.
These are really easy to fit and connect through Wi-Fi. Picture quality is great too. I haven’t set up the different motion detectors etc yet but am sure these will also be great.
Would highly recommend anyone to purchase these
Great cameras but was made to believe they had the microphone and talk back option as the company had replied to an Amazon question saying they were equipped with it. Was disappointed when I installed them and found there was no microphone or speaker but none the less they are still excellent and great value for money
Front and backyard security and my family in first place they security is my conce
The 2 cameras were sold as a pair at a discounted price.
Certainly Igeek quality was obvious when opening the well packaged parcel , which arrived promptly from Amazon UK. No problems were encountered when setting up the cameras.
Would certainly recommend this purchase.
I came across the ieGeek camera. The reviews looked pretty solid, so it was worth a try for the small outlay.
Whats in the box?
1080p Camera,
A separate +5dbi aerial
A (aluminium?) mounting bracket.
1.5m RJ45 cable
Power adaptor
User manual & wifi connection instructions leaflet (both written in Chinglish unfortunately)
Bag of screws, rawl plugs & allen key (for the grub screws on the bracket).
Unlabelled mini CD, with various PC & phone apps, user manual & FAQs
The unit itself is quite small, and can be installed fairly discretely. The bracket allows for quite a bit of range of adjustment. I’ve got it mounted near to my gates, which are about 15 metres away from the nearest wireless AP. The camera has an external +5dbi aerial, so I’m not seeing too many wifi dropouts via the video recordings on my NVR.
One BIG plus, is the power adaptor is very neat and compact – so much so that it fits underneath the cover of a BG 2Gang external weatherproof socket! Bonus, as it made my install much easier! (it wouldn’t quite fit under a LAG weatherproof socket cover though) It also has a power lead that is about 3m long – which also helped to make the installation quicker & simpler.
The fixed lead, which is about 2 metres long splits into a RJ45 connector (semi waterproofed), 2.1mm barrel socket for the power, and a reset button with a small semi waterproof cap over it. I’d suggest to hide these away under a cover or in a small enclosure to make sure they don’t get much exposure to rain etc as they don’t look 100% effective in my opinion.
I set up the camera before installing outside (thankfully). The supplied software is a bit hit & miss, and the android app isn’t all that much better. After a little trial and error I managed to get the camera connected via RJ45, and then transferred onto the wireless network (not sure how I managed it, or if i’d be able to do it again, but it’s stayed connected OK since). I’ve not bothered with motion detection or the other functions on the camera yet.
I also connected it via my NVR, which was much less painful as the ONVIF implementation is pretty good. I use the NVR application to view all my cameras when away from home, so can’t comment on how good or stable the images are via the app.
There’s also a microSD card slot on the bottom of the camera body – I haven’t used this yet, but it looks robust and weatherproof enough to be OK.
Verdict in use:
Daytime: The camera image is pretty good, and images are clear. They are good enough to see lots of fairly small details. There is a slight ‘fish eye’ to the images, probably around a 14mm lens equivalent if it were on a 35mm camera.
Night time: There is a little vignetting and reflection around the edges (not sure why it doesn’t appear so noticeable in the day), but the camera copes remarkably well with different bright and dark areas of the image – much better than some other cameras I’ve used previously. FPS is a lot slower at night, so it can’t capture quite as much detail eg passing cars have trailing lights etc and aren’t 100% recognisable, but its still sufficient for its main task of keeping an eye on my gates.
The camera outputs 2 streams via ONVIF, a 1080p and a lower 640×352. Connection speeds vary between 500kbs and 3000kbs dependent upon how much movement there is in the image.
Overall, I’m happy with the camera unit. If the software and CamHi App were better it would be a no-brainer at this price – though I can see a lot of people struggling to get it set up and maybe giving up on it. As it is, even with the clunky software it meets my needs.
Have been looking for security cameras for a while. This doesn’t have any monthly subscriptions attached to it. Easy to set up and so far very pleased. Good value for money.
I bought the first set of cameras around five years ago and wanted to add a couple of extra cameras. I have always found them easy to install and very reliable. The only downside being the grammar in the users’ guide. I have also installed them for friends who are delighted with them. I would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone who needs a low cost security option.
Easy to install – once I found out default password –
Good quality HD image with or without day light.
Good value for money.
Just wish it came with SD card by default!
Unfortunately product is now faulty and I’m hoping someone can help me!
All good so far would recommend ,I wanted one with good night vision this is it.
okay took a bit to set up but patience is always rewarded. damn good security camera, very well made looks and feels a lot more than it costs
Good quality & low cost, well packaged for delivery. Cameras easy to set up and worked well in my set up.
128GB recording capacity is a limiting factor, but for the price good value.
Very pleased with my purchase. Much better quality than I was expecting, for such a great price. The picture is very clear, day & night.
Thanks so much.
Arrived promptly, simple and easy to
Follow set up, great quality and value for money, definitely recommend
I have a couple of iegeek ig62 cameras and when I wanted another one I was disappointed to find that Amazon no longer stocked them. The nearest I could fine was the ig80. When it arrived it was a different shape (elliptical rather than round) but the leads were the same, Ethernet, power and reset button.
One difference is the way that the base rotates. This has changed from a knurled ring to a lock screw that uses the same Allen key as the other adjustments. In my opinion, this is a much better system.
When I connected to it, the interface was the same and so it was easy to configure to my requirements. The picture quality is excellent on both streams.
I can’t comment on the motion detection option as I use the PC software to provide this function.
All in all, good value for the money and highly recommended.

Great camera, easy setup and maintainence. It would be good to get a 128 GB card with this, as the recordings would have more space.
Excellent quality very easy to install and set up, good camera range.. motion sensor is excellent too.. notification are sent to your mobile CIA the app which was easy to set up too .. very good value for money.. have bought this twice now !.
This camera is fabulous. My dad already has two and recommended it to me, so I purchased it straight away yesterday and it arrived today! Well packaged with decent instructions.
No damage to the camera in transit. My dad frequently sends me clips from his place of the wildlife that goes into his front and back garden.
Night vision is very good and so is the two way talk experience. You can pick up even small bird tweets on the recordings too. I’m very pleased and would definitely recommend!
UPDATE
I had an issue with the antenna (not the camera).
I contacted the company, who immediately helped resolve the issue with BRILLIANT customer service – thank you so much. A year on and I still love the camera.
Very easy to install, excellent picture, the alarm is too sensitive but this can be turned down to 0, I like ability to zoom in on the picture,Also you’re able to use an SD card must be bought separately.
Decent camera, however recently had the police wanting to view 48 hours worth of footage. There is no way you can download one file of 24 hours worth of footage. However you need to download 10 minutes worth which has took over 4 hours to do. After talking to manufacturer there is no way you can download files like this
These cameras are great, Iv set up both but only got round it installing one of the two purchased, Very easy to install and set-up excellent speedy service too. I have one installed around the back of my house and will be installing the front one tomorrow. Easy to do simple DIY job of drilling and threading the power cable through the wall.
RE: Camera, image quality is good especially when set to HD (SD option also to save SD card space) great 2 two talking (ie would be easy to instruct a delivery man etc with nice clear audio)
Finally got round to setting this up! First night it was put up it got battered by strong winds and rain, then hail the following morning, but held up really well keeping the clear picture and sound in both the day/night time! Good connection to wifi, though I’m using the wired connection. Easy to set up, just downloaded the app and either used the QI code on the side of the camera or just scanned the network (if using wired connection).
This camera is absolutely very good. I was hesitating to order first but once arrived, its surprise me with the quality and easy installation. Mobile app is good and connection is fast. Recording feature is really useful. The desktop software is also good. Excellent product over all.
Very good quality camera, easy to set up, the CamiPro app on iPad and aAndroid found the camera quickly and without problem, the app is good.
I have wired it so can’t comment on the WiFi setup.
Overall very pleased for the money it cost.
Perfect day time quality in full hd colour and night vision good quality only it’s back and white other than that I can not fault this camera and price is great. Motion detector is sensitive but works great definitely worth the money….. This is the second camera I have bought and will be buying more
Well, all I can say is its a really good piece of kit! Picked it based on the reviews and I wasn’t let down.
Reasonable price, helpful easy set up and came with all the cables and parts needed.
Simple to put up, and the app was easy enough to use.
We have it set to motion detection and I can say it catchs the cat every time!
Offers a nice wide coverage of my whole back drive and the clarity in HD is ace.
No complaints so far and would recommend to annoyone who doesn’t want to break the bank putting up CCTV.
Fantastic, absolutely well worth the price , easy install, easy hook up, easy operation. Purchased 2 , will purchase a further 2 , friends also buying as bit jealous and fair bit impressed . All round great purchase . ALSO , offer an SD card on completion of review so that cuts the cost too , but it’s a shame sellers communication is so poor when requesting the “lucky customer ” sd cards ……
This camera provides the basics but I find it impossible to configure the more advanced features. You have to us a browser to make any changes because the old client app requires Adobe Flash player which is end of life. The instructions are very brief and appear to be a poor translation to English. You get what you pay for.
IG80 purchased this camera June 2021.
I am 76 and within 14 minutes (including unpacking time and SDHC fit) had mine working on a network wire, with a further ten minutes to get WIFI working. Now no longer need network wire, just need power. There is a VERY helpful youtube (Gee Whiz UK) which just leads you through the setup in a simple manner.
Camera itself is very nicely made, and looks weatherproof and robust. Lovely clear picture, even in the dark.
Have 3 of these all work really well, oldest one has been in continuous use for over a year now. Clear night vision and daylight image. Motion detection is a little slow, but use them connected to synology NAS, so mainly continuous recording or use NAS for motion detection. Easy to connect to Wi-fi network and have a good string connections with very few drop outs.
Difficult to fault this CCTV camera for the price. Small, discrete and easy to wire up. Small power adaptor helpful in tight conditions to fit. Overall impressed with it a lot.
Very easy to set up, good picture .
Night vision is extremely good
Camera was delivered quickly and all components correctly in a well packed box (minimal wastage)
Read the instructions which seemed quite straight-forward but maybe sketchy in places.
My router has both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi – so before starting I disabled the 5GHz! This is important otherwise the devices may be connected to ‘different’ WiFi networks causing you not to be able to find the camera.
Downloaded the app on my phone, powered up the camera and searched for it in the app. It connected pretty much straight away and I was able to configure the wireless for the camera to connect to my hub.
Once there it was easy to add the camera to Synology Surveillance station and set up the streaming and recording on the Synology.
Once all connected re-enable the 5GHz wireless on the router and all working superbly.
I look forward to working with it.

Easy to install. App is easy to use. Decent image quality. Camera build is solid. Will need some time to test if it lasts long outdoor.
Great picture quality, including night vision. Easy to install. Advice is to get the “Pro” app instead of the standard (it’s still free) as the Pro version has a few more features and is easier to use
Good value for money, easy to fit and set up. It’s very discreet when tucked under the eaves of a building. All works very well, I’m impressed with this and may purchase another for the rear of the house.
Motion detection sensitivity needs to be set carefully to avoid false triggers from rain etc.
Recommended.
This is the fifth igeek camera that I have purchased. Security wise four of them cover the entire exterior of my home. The fifth is monitoring my rear garden from which I have discovered that we are regularly visited by foxes, badgers, mice, as well as the local moggies. Having lived in this property over twenty years and never once seen a hedgehog I was quite excited to see one via the cameras. I will be buying more to expand my nocturnal viewing.Well worth the reasonable cost of the device.
Wanted some sort of cctv system that was wifi, but did not want to spend mega bucks. Saw this and two other iegeek cameras and thought I would give them a try. Must admit not disappointed. after initial problems trying to under stand how to set them up.
Instructions could be clearer for an old man who is not that savvy.
Really easy to install and get everything working- was expecting a struggle but it was up and running and connected to the WiFi in no time, working as advertised! All the app features work well. Motion detection is pretty sensitive, still playing around with the detection area/sensitivity to get it right. In testing I get an immediate notification on my phone as soon as I step into the detection area, was expecting even a small delay but it’s instant.
Came in with preconceived notions because it’s pretty cheap and was prepared for intermittent problems, setup nightmare, or a terrible app, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised at every step! Happy customer!
excellent products , i have 2 front and back. make sure you set the camera up , add the SD card and connect it via a hard wire first , then you are good to go. it connects to the app really easy . i found the alarm settings a bit tricky at first, it kept pinging my phone all the time…but trial and error sorted it out.
picture quality is grea
Bought three of these August 2019 and have had problems with the cameras disconnecting constantly until one went down all together. It has taken many emails to the suppliers in china to get a replacement after trying to problem shoot. They sent out an IP82 rather than these IP80’s which i believe is the older model. since installing this camera the other cameras have started to work without dropping signal. Good customer service
I’ve had the older version of this camera for a couple of years and this one offers an improved image with smoother recorded footage. Setup is much slicker than the older version (using the camhipro app) but you still need to connect with an ethernet cable (included) to your router initially to set up the wifi connection. Installation of the micro SD card (not included) is much improved on this model.
I’ve put together a ‘getting started’ video which I hope is of some use. You should be able to find a larger, better quality version of this video on a popular video hosting site if you search for my username. There is also a wall installation video that may be of use.

Previously purchased an earlier model of this camera which has been working great for a year or so. Decided to get another camera so I can monitor another area of my property using the one App. The new camera worked for a week or so then started having some issues with dropping wifi, however, the response from the ieGeek service team via e-mail (Mae) was exceptional! I now have the cameras set up and working as they should
I had a problem with the night vision that they could not fix for me so they have sent out a new camera free of charge and said to keep old one too
Great product and a great after sales help can’t praise them enough.
Excellent camera, this is the third I’ve bought so far to cover extended area, with WiFi boosters this camera along with a cylindrical version at the same price are all I’ll need. Stores over 5 days full recordings on 128gb cards. Simple set up, only issue is my slow Internet at 2 to 3 mbs but cameras still work! Can’t fault these cameras.
It’s a bit hit and miss when connecting and it takes ages to connect when using 4g. Motion detect picks up literally everything even the wind! Then I lower the sensitivity by 1 and it picks up sod all! Not a bad budget security camera but if you’re looking at it as an alternative to a “ring doorbell” like I did I’d recommend to pay the extra and get the real thing
It’s feature rich for the price tag – all features do work.
Only downside I have on performance is that the motion detected video recordings are limited to 15 seconds irrespective of the duration you set (their website says this would be fixed in future but no timeline is given). You will also have to master Chinglish to browse through the recommended CamHi app.
The camera is a great IP camera for the price the connectors are not far from the cameras this was a issue that I found but I used a junction box that helped the situation you need to buy a MicroSD card as not included, overall this is great and I would recommend to anyone. After installation I found that the WiFi connection was poor after installing Ethernet it worked well, i was also worried about the wall anchors and screws so I used more durable ones I’ve had this for around 2 weeks now and it works great and looks fantastic. I had issues with installing the PC application on MacOS however the disk was way two small to use that for installation, the app is also very limited but overall it’s great!
Fiddly to set up but great once you do. Good picture quality day and night. Facility to reduce the motion detection area is a real bonus. Wi-Fi works well despite poor signal from my hub and the app is simple to use from my phone. Going strong for five months now.
Wow…what a camera it is so easy to set up and I cannot fault it one little bit. Perfect size picture is fantastic and knowing it’s a IP camera makes it worth while.
If I’m to be really honest I cannot find anything to say wrong with it.
I’ve another camera in the past but this one is outstanding may even look at getting another one in the near future.
The item arrived well in time and was packaged excellently. Good value for money quality. Easy to mount up. I will buy from buyer again in the future.
Simply excellent. It does everything described by the seller. vision quality is very good, easy to set up and install. Excellent value for the money.
This camera is good. Excellent picture quality, better than its predecessor. It was bought to replace another IGeek camera which had failed. I now have to get electrician to look at my other IGeek camera bought at the same time as the failed one as it is showing a similar problem as the first (inability to connect to wifi and keeps trying to re-boot itself)
Easy to setup took me only like an hour to slowly manage the camera, phone app and PC client. It even can bark like a dog, what an awesome feature. Thank you guys 0_x
This is a great camera with great functionality. It is fairly straightforward to install ( took a couple of goes to connect to the router) but worked well once done.
Night vision and picture quality is great. Motion detection ok though a little sensitive but does what I need it to door. The zoning function didn’t work as well as I wanted on the motion detection.
Final note – it has 3 cables which need a at least a 25-30mm hole if you are mounting direct on a wall and cabling through without using a junction box set up.
This is my now my 5th iEGeek outdoor camera.
I’ve owned the others for a couple of years and dont plan on shifting brands soon as they are so reliable. Picture quality is great and they are easily accessed from several different platforms ( I use Windows, Android, iOS ). I have three of these models and they all work very well.
These are superb security cameras and open up a whole new dimension. To have a direct visual of your property via surveillance and at a reasonable cost is excellent.
You can monitor your property and control your camera’s functions remotely which is absolutely superb; watch, record, playback, using your smartphone or other device as specified.
If you want to use your camera system without any physical connection to the www then after installation on a modem router while online, you can unplug it from the phone line and view your cameras within the modem router’s range, in this setup using a second modem router for using the internet, that would be plugged into the phone line.
Either way these cameras are a great asset and let you keep a close watch over your property in either of the above configurations.
I use Endurance micro SD cards for longevity as they may undergo temperature and humidity extremes and have to keep functioning during many re-writes of sound and image feeds from the superb cameras.
Had this now for a few weeks.
So gave time to see if I am happy with the product. And yes ,everything seems to run well. It’s wired to my internet rather than wireless. Last camera that was wireless was rubbish so cannot comment on wireless operation.
I was considering an expensive hardwired system, but after a few unexpected outgoings I thought this was worth a try at the price…Surprised at the solid build quality on opening the box. Followed the instructions and set up the camera with ethernet cable no problem. Then came WiFi… We have a talk talk router upgraded to ‘fast internet’ about 12 months ago. As I couldn’t get camera to connect I presumed it was 5ghz WiFi from the router. A quick Google and I entered a code in browser to look at the settings…it turns out the talk talk router is working on 2.4 & 5 GHz simultaneously. I turned off the 5ghz and tried to reconnect camera and it worked straight away 😀 . Went back in router and turned on 5ghz and everything is working great. At the moment camera is in upstairs window until SD card arrives. I also purchased a power extension for 3 so will only need a small hole through the wall, hopefully run it through back of alarm box. Day time picture is great ,tho slight drop in FPS on hd mode on cam hi. Night vision is great but needs to be outside because of reflection in window…Have got it to work through WiFi on my TV through tinycam pro app.. which is an absolute bonus! For 39 absolutely no complaints.
I found this camera easy to set up , for the first couple of weeks I used a temporary set up attaching the camera onto the open window sash with clamps. once I knew it was running ok I had the camera installed on the outside wall .I dont use the motion detection as I have a tree which would interfere with the line of vision.
The camera has been running smoothly for several months now with no problems .
I find the app not quite as good , you need a strong signal if away from the house before it connects .
one tip I would give is to make sure you can reach the camera after it has been installed so that you can knock off any spiders and bugs and keep the camera clean .
I am using a 64gb Sd card running the camera on the highest quality settings and constant 24h a day recording I get 6 days of recordings before the images are over written .
This is a great camera for the money .
This product is great value for money. Easy to install (using WiFi). Very good quality pictures both day and night.
I purchased two cameras. Back up service is also very good. Had a minor problem and the Company responded quickly.
Overall I see no negatives. I intend to purchase another two cameras.
I used to hvave one wireless doorbell with motion detection for monitoring the events in front of my door, but was with poor quality motion detection, you could miss couple of movements and it was activating very late even after movement. After getting iGeek camera all problems have been solved. Now there is no chance to miss anything. Easy to install, various active functions. I connected via WIFI, therefore sometimes connection is not so good. The only disadvantage is that after downloading recorded video you can watch it without stopping or delay, but noise effect is bad, you hear something different , not real sound on the video.
Works well as onvif camera (Wifi or cable). Needs a big hole through the wall or an external waterproof box due to large network connection socket. Long powerlead from mains adapter useful.
Update. 2nd August 2020. Eventually got it working. Was an issue with entering the credentials which was not intuitive. Worked well until a few days ago when the IR stopped working which means it is useless for night time monitoring. Tried rebooting but no joy. Is fine for day time The alarm is Pretty sensitive which I like. The video quality on replay is good. And it streams well to my phone. You can set the length of each recording. Disappointed that the IR is dead as It’s less than a year old.
Decent quality. Unfortunately I’ve not been able to get it to work with my BT 4 router. I spent many hours trying absolutely everything and following all the advice from the support team who did try to help. They also offered a refund if I had no joy. The best I managed was to connect my phone to the camera but the router would not switch over from cable to WiFi connection.
To be fair I also have two older foscam cameras. One has been connected via WiFi for years without any issues. However when I tried to reconnect the second foscam I am having the same problems. I might have another try but suspect it still won’t work.
I wouldn’t let this review out you off! It could be something that has changed with the BT router.
I’m a fan of iegeek cameras I have the earlier versions.
But this one tops it off fantastic loud speaker that you can speak through the app and also listen back to.
Great picture quality and notifications, easy setup
One improvement would be the night vision, at night I can see the circle of the lens which is strange.
In my opinion, having owed numerous camera’s you cant get much better then this. For the price the camera is HD quality, the software is really configurable and setting it up is simple. Despite the user manual being written in english, the meaning of some procedures could tie you up in knots. However with common sense even my wife could set it up.
Well made, robust, remote access works quickly (4G network) and the icing on the cake…Internal Micro SD card (accepts up to 128gb, not included) so no subscription charges just safe local storage. I even tried the service email and they responded the next day and appeared very helpful.
I purchased this camera thinking you get what you pay for, but it knocks the socks off some of the more expensive over 100 ones.
Pleased with the first camera so went ahead and purchased a second camera. Can now have one at the front of the house and one at the rear. Nice being able to check the property while away from home.
This camera was relatively easy to set up, it feels nice and solid and feels like it should last a while.
Video quality is excellent in both night and day mode and the motion detection is good (perhaps a little too good as even with the sensitivity turned down it still picks moths up etc).
One negative is that The instruction manual isn’t the best, a little vague in some parts. Takes a bit of playing with the settings to get it working as you want.
Overall can’t fault the product itself.
