The INQMEGAPRO Solar Security Camera was an excellent purchase for us. It is very practical because it is solar charged and wireless, so once installed, no need to bother with it again. Cost wise, it is good value for money and very easy to connect to the phone which all the family have access to from anywhere home or away. Once fully charged, it is simple to fix to the wall. We have one installed in the back garden and will get one for the front garden. The two cameras act as a natural deterrent and will provide us with excellent coverage and constant view of our property. No need to check it all the time as the camera detects activity and you get alerts sent straight to your phone via the app. You can pan the camera and record with ease which saves to the cloud or to your camera roll. This is an excellent purchase, I would highly recommend it.
I would highly recommend this easy to install and set up INQMEGAPRO outdoor solar security camera. It is ideal for novice DIYer who do not want too much hassle or to spend a lot of money and ask professionals to set up a system. However, this solar camera can still provides good home security for you and your property. You will need either a drill or screwdriver depending if you wish to fix to wood or stone walls. Two things to keep in mind is that the camera needs to be within range of your home WiFi and the solar panel for the camera needs to be able to catch some sunlight to recharge itself. Batteries are supplied. I followed previous comments and fully charged the camera to start with.
The camera can be set to activates with the motion sensor thus saving you battery and and storage space. Importantly the day and night vision picture quality is very clear and sharp. It is definitely enough to pick out identifying features of unwanted intruders.
I found setting this up very easy, even though the instructions are writen very small. The app is easy to use and the wifi seems to be connecting easily , the camera connected to wifi through sound which it did very quick, it is set about
14 metres away from the hub and the connection seems strong as it connects quite quick. There is plenty of cable for the solar panel to be put up high. The picture is very good and was impressed with the night vision . I can keep an check on the animals in the barn and turn it round and look out into the field with the 360 pan and tilt to give more vision which works great. It does what expected and more with a light and speaker and you can swithch off options so it doesn’t use the battery energy. So far its good, time will tell on how long the batteries last with the solar charging i made sure the four batteries that come with it were fully charged first . It was abit fiddly trying to open the battery box and figure out how it all went together , but i kept a calm head and done it as the instructions don’t go into detail. Happy panning.
I bought a second camera as I was so oleased with the first.
The first one is at the front of the house, the second will be in the back garden today.
I found them both very easy to set-up, the solar cell recharges the batteries and has been sufficient to keep the batteries charged despite an awful non-sunny UK summe
I had this up and running in no time. If you can use a screwdriver, this is a pleasure to install. No issues whatsoever. It’s quite heavy for a security camera as it’s metal. I can confirm it works well even during rainy conditions and it’s waterproof.
It needs a minimum of four x 18650 button-top batteries but they are supplied. Initially, I fully charged them using an external charger. They were easy enough to remove and insert in the cam and they fit snuggly. I haven’t needed to remove them since as they are now charged by daylight via the supplied solar panel.
I have my solar panel sitting on top of my camera but it can be mounted independently using the supplied 15 feet cable.
I like how the power is stored when the camera goes into sleep mode which is when no movement is detected. It immediately activates and records when motion is detected. I find this works well. I’ve inserted an 64GB SD card which isn’t supplied, for recording purposes. I think it’s good that the cam auto-deletes old data on the card and replaces with new.
I have set up night vision for monochrome recording as I think it looks better. Night colour vision is also available. The actual hd imagery, I am impressed with the quality. I find that the motion detection is activated from about 20 feet or so and it works effectively with no noticeable lag.
I am totally happy with it’s performance and quality and we consider it good value for money and peace of mind. Recommended.
