Ivation Battery-Powered Handheld Portable Shower
Turns Water From a Bucket, Basin or Sink Into a Steady, Gentle Shower Stream of Water. ..
- Here is a waterproof, battery-powered portable shower that can serve multiple purposes indoors or out. By drawing water from virtually any bucket, basin or sink, the Ivation portable shower system turns a pool of water into a gentle shower-like stream on demand. This level of mobility and shower-anywhere capability is great for many uses such as on-the-go showering for campers and hikers; accessible poolside or beach showering; gentle bathtub showering for toddlers/babies, eliminating the need to use the strong overheard shower stream; an easy, portable water stream for home car washers; outdoor horse cleaning, and even house-pet washing in the bathtub.
- For a true go-anywhere shower, a built-in rechargeable 2200mAh lithium battery powers the Ivation portable shower for up to 60 minutes on a single charge. Charging is easy via USB connection to a computer or laptop, or with a 12 volt car adapter (Not Included). Couple that with the included suction cup and hanging hook, and you’ve got a shower ready when you are. - The Ivation portable shower features a built-in water filtration system that cleans the water while the shower is in use. This does not affect the flow of water, which runs through the 6.5-foot hose at a consistent 2.5i/minute. For the camper or hiker, the filtration system in a brilliant innovation, turning lake or pool water into clean shower water.

It will come in very handy for camping showers and also rinsing dirt and salty ocean water off my two dogs.
I can’t comment on the battery life at this time.
It would be nice if it came with a carrying bag like the car kettle I bought, but I’ll find something to put it in.
My husband and I were camping in South Dakota and there were no showers. I boiled water and used a bucket for the water. The water pressure was good, better than I had expected and I was able to have an entire shower which I really enjoyed. The only thing is the attachment at the top. I purchased a shower tent and there was only a hook and the top part really needs to be attached to a pole to keep it in place. I plan to use it in the lake in the summer to wash the dog.
This portable shower is perfect for giving my dog a bath
Thus us perfect for us when we are camping to shower, do dishes, or to give our dogs a bath.
Would have liked it to have more pressure, but considering the alternative, it’s great!
We are offgrid and this has been amazing. A 6 gallon bucket gives almost 20 minute hot shower.
Boiled up some water on the fire and took a hot shower right in camp, can’t beat this thing with anything short of a full shower install. It’s a camping must have even if it’s just as an emergency back up
Purchased this shower years ago. I used it for 2 and a half years in an off grid living situation. The only thing about this shower is you must ensure the pump is set up where it can drain and stay dry.
La compr para m nio por qu le daba miedo la regadera y esto le da ms control sobre el agua. El motorsito suena muy poquito.
I suction causes a nice even flow of water.I bought it to rinse my dogs off in the tub. Be mindful to only allow clean water to pass through the portable shower, to keep it running properly.
Compra perfecta para cuando no hay agua, la batera es para 5 duchas de 15 minutos.. resiste al agua y la presin es perfecta
The battery is the onlily thing that doesn’t convince me, it has 1 hour life ando the Charging time Is a lot (2.5 hours just for a us of One hour) I Wish to be more than tha
Why does it seem like my hot water heater always breaks in the winter? Well mine did, and the parts to repair took 3 days to get in stock. With this handy pump, I heated water in a stock pot, added it to a large bucket like you get at the home improvement stores, and filled the rest of the way with cold water. I used about a 50/50 mix of cold and 150 degree water, I did not wait for it to boil. Then, I enjoyed my shower!
While I do think this is an excellent product with the suction power, and very easy to use. I will not purchase again, because this company does not answer any correspondence! If you have a problem. So PLEASE BE AWARE!!!! if you have a problem with this item, they will not contact you after numerous attempts to contact them!
I liked it until it just wouldn’t turn on anymore. So I bought another and same thing quit after 3 times. For $40 should work better especially when you try it twice and same problem both times
Easy to use, as described. Shower head leaks at screw on. Perfect for bathing pets in a tub without a detachable shower head.
I like that this handheld shower tool was partially charge when it arrived for an easy first-time use. This tool is so efficient that we were able to shower two people with one 5-gallon bucket of water. (Disclaimer: You must soap up without the water running the entire time to be this efficient though.) I would definitely buy another one!
So we bought this, a popup shower stall (like $50 on here), and a huge enamelware pot (used, $10). Filled the pot with lake water, put it on the fire until steamy, then put the pot in the corner of the stall, dropped in the pump for this thing , and hung the showerhead from the top. WOW! Felt fancy.
The water pressure is very impressive for something this price. The battery lasts a long time, many many showers. Only catch: with this much water coming through you need to have a lot of water available otherwise it will run out fast. In my opinion, that’s a good problem to have 🙂
We had the misfortune to have a sketchy contractor and subs and still don’t have a tiled or usable shower/tub in our house, so after going to families’ homes and hotels far too many times, I bought this. We eventually had hot water to a sink so I could put warm water in a 5 gallon bucket to shower. The pressure isn’t super strong, but enough to get wet, clean and rinsed, which saved a lot of money. I looked at ones that had an external piece, but they seemed too involved. I would say the battery lasts at least 3 times at 3-5 gallons being used. I switch it off after getting wet and also aim the sprayer into the bucket as I am turning it off to save water. It is simple to use and simple to recharge (FYI, don’t misplace the charger because you can’t use something ordinary.) It was also left in the bucket with water still in it by my hubby a few times and the seal continued to work properly. It would be great for campers and not terribly expensive.
i use it on offgrit site, easy charging, for around 20min showers can last for 10 times. so normaly one week for charging. good flow and pressure
I bought this when our water on the Navy base in Hawaii got contaminated with jet fuel. We’ve been without clean running water in our home going on two months now and this has been a life saver. We used it when we went camping over Christmas and then when we returned back home. The kids like it better than the gravity powered camping shower we were using and I like it because even though I’m short I had to bend down to use the other one because it was too heavy to lift high up when filled with water. With the electric one I just boil water to add to the bucket and drop one end in and we’re ready to go. So simple my 7 and 9 year old can both use it. I hate that we are going through this water crisis, but so blessed to have found this product. Also the battery life is amazing. We’ve used it for 3 people back to back to back without it going out. It was so awesome we bought a second one just to have on hand.
I heat up hot water to fill a five gallon bucket, and I am able to wash my hair, body, and have some just plain “mm-hm, this warm water sure feels goooood” time. The flow is not high pressure, but it delivers enough water at a high enough rate to shower very easily. Two gallons makes a way adequate normal shower.
I found that instead of turning it on and off, I can just leave it on and put the head back in the bucket to recycle that water while I am scrubbing, them just pull it back out of the bucket to resume the showering.
I usually charge it right back up after a shower, but I forgot once, and took two lengthy showers in a row. I did not run out of battery.
The shower comes with the pump, hose, and shower head. Also, there are several items to allow various hanging configurations, and a USB charging cord. It all rolls up into a compact package.
Good power, good quality great help if you have no shower !
To confirm other questions raised, the hose length is quite sufficient for a floor standing water source and average height person (and of course you could have your bucket on a camping table);
the motor is quiet and;
power quite adequate for a shower in a field!
The on/off button is with the pump itself, not the showerhead so an extra pair of hands is helpful for starting/stopping whilst minimal water wastage.
This product working fine as expected
But the only thing is that you need a bigger water container because it will finish fast
Over all its very practical for outdoor activities
The shower was impressively powerful and felt like a normal shower. With the hot water generated by our solar bag (it was actually a little too hot so we diluted it with cold water) the shower was quite enjoyable after a day of collecting dust hiking. The suction unit is almost perfect in that it is able to drain almost all the water from the bucket. I accidentally popped off the bottom and discovered it has a coarse, mesh filter in there to keep out foreign objects that could clog the pump. The pump generally did not need priming except once when an air bubble got caught inside and made a bunch of noise and reduced the flow. Turning it off and then on again got the bubble out.
Charging it easy via a removable cap the exposes the electronics. BUT do NOT forget the charging cable! It is not a typical micro USB that you can find anywhere.
I have three minor issues with the unit. The first is the on/off switch is on the pump so someone had to stand outside the tent turning it on and off by reaching into the bucket of water and hitting the button. We did this to conserve our 5-gallon-per-person supply of hot water instead of running it constantly. You can avoid this by putting the bucket in the shower with you but then some dirty water might end up getting recycled–not a big deal when camping but it is less room in the already small typical shelter. I discovered the I could reach out the window and fish the pump out myself with the hose and turn it on and off if no one was outside so that is another option. I wish the switch could be on the head but I realize that would make it heavier, more complex, and probably less reliable. So it is probably the better design choice as-is.
Issue 2 is the hose needs to be about 1 foot longer in our setup to get out of the bucket, up the wall of the shelter, and give some room to use it. If you had the bucket right next to you the hose is the perfect length. We solved this too simply by elevating the bucket on a stool or table next to the shelter.
Issue 3 is the hose easily kinks near the head if you turn the head upside down. Easy to deal with this and and I prefer the hose to be soft and flexible as this make it easy to bend around corners and roll up to store.
Oh and I wish they included a travel bag with it. I suppose you could use the box but I found an old cloth bag that is the perfect size.
Those nitpicks aside–this is a great little unit! Easy to use, it disassembles for compact storage, and it has more power than I was expecting (about the same as a typical home shower with a water saver). Well constructed and a solid pumping motor that just works. It looks great too!
Wonderful product. At present i cannot get to the bathroom but this shower enables me to have a thorough wash downstairs.
I honestly don’t know how I got on with dog walks before this!!!! I love it and it’s so easy to use. It has made dog walks so much more enjoyable with not having to take a muddy dirty dog through the house to get clean.
Excellent had heating problem, and really worked well to get a shower while heating was repaired, easy to use, and gave a good shower.
I liked this shower because it has a usb charging port, which I paired up with a solar charger, so we never worried about keeping it at a full charge. When we were done with the shower we just plugged it back in and kept it charged. That part was nice. This pump will suck up a 5 gallon bucket in 4.5 minutes with great water pressure. 4.5 minutes can go by fast. The biggest downside is the power button. If you don’t want the water to drain so fast, you’ll want to turn it off, but if you then get all lathered up with soap, you have to put your soapy hands in the water bucket and get soap inside you clean water in order to even turn it back on. Then your spraying soapy water on yourself to rinse off. The other negative was the port to charge battery. Many people that wrote reviews said that water got inside and ruined it. That’s because the cover for the USB port doesn’t have a rubber seal, so if you fully submerge the pump, it’s only a matter of time before it leaks through and gets inside the wrong part of the pump. I solved this by buying a floating beer koozy for pools. I put the pump inside the middle of it and let it float on the top of the water, allowing only the bottom part of the pump to be exposed to the water, leaving the top out of the water the whole time so I don’t have to worry about water getting through to the USB port. I think that’ll help it last a bit longer. It took a few mods for it to be the way I want it, but overall I think it’s a decent shower for on the go
Lasted a full hour with a 3 hour recharge time from completely dead. Shower head deliver a good flush of water that it sustains. Great product, highly recommend.
Awesome product. Used twice after hot tub, saves heading inside and dripping everywhere.
Washing up bowl with hot water is sufficient for a full rince off, very impressive.
This product is worth buying and works as described. The photo shows how many water holes are in the shower head compared to other camp showers. The shower comes with a hook for the shower head, but the hose is too short for my 5’7″ height because the pump part must stay in the water bucket if the bucket is on the ground. I like this product and would recommend it to friends and family. That’s the short story. Keep reading for a detailed review.
For those who value detailed honest product reviews, here’s my story:
I ordered this portable shower product a year ago and practiced using it for car camping. Yesterday, I fell at home and broke my ankle bones on both sides of the ankle. Yeah, bummer right? So my downstairs does not have a shower or tub and I really wanted a shower because the ankle dressing is not supposed to get wet. I used a big clean plastic trahbag to protect the dressing and proceeded to shower with the Ivation Portable Outdoor shower. This review is based on my experience with the portable shower in a real world environment. I had stand by assistance from a family member. I threw on the floor a couple of towels and the standby person put a commode chair on top. I put the uninsured foot into a large plastic basin. I had additional dry towels purchased on Amazon nearby. I used a few drops of concentrated Dr. Bonner peppermint soap which can be ordered on Amazon in several scents and unscented. The bathroom sink was filled with water and a tiny bit of Dr. Bonner liquid soap. Making some water mess, I proceeded to shower. Very few drops of water went outside the towel barrier.
This is what I liked:
1) The hose was long enough to reach wherever I needed it to go. I am approximately 5’7″ and had to bend for the water to reach my hair. The hose has water in it even when out of the water. Having the water basin and faucet at waist height was great and I recommend raising the basin for any use if you are tall so the hose can wash your hair.
2) The charge is through USB which makes it easy charge with a laptop, or other USB outdoor device. The device was not charged for a year and the shower was still strong.
3) The water flow can be stopped by folding the hose to kink it. As long as the pump at the bottom is in water, the water will flow. It took two hands to fold the hose. The hose is strong and thick.
4) The on off switch is on the pump opposite side of the USB plus and is simple to operate. There is a strong plastic cap on the switch. The cap must be pulled off to see the push button switch.
5) A gallon of water can provide a full shower. I used two gallons for a shower and to wash my hair. If I was more efficient, I could have used less water.
6) This shower with lots of shower holes can be used as a shower system for people and pets. It is a more efficient use of water. Start with very warm but not scalding water because the water cools as it leaves the hose. Be sure to check the water temperature before allowing children and the aged to use the shower. Use common sense.
7) For camping – this portable shower system is a yes. A black bag can cover the water to heat it with solar or water from a campfire can be used. Please use caution with hot water. For backpacking, it may add too much weight – but if the big shower feeling gets the family outdoors, the weight is worth the end result of happy campers.
8) Power outages, natural disasters, emergency medical, natural disasters, building and construction sites may find the shower device helpful.
9) I’m unsure how long it takes the device to charge, but can say that my device maintained a strong charge for almost a year in storage.
10) If showering while standing in a basin and using a biodegradable biologically neutral soap, soapseed, the water can be poured out in specific area without harming nature. These soaps are sold on Amazon. I do not know if they will harm the device. I used Dr. Bonner. Oils are slippery. I did not use oils in the water and recommend not using oils in the water. Use oils, lotions and creams after the shower and wear socks untucks lotions and oils are absorbed into the feet. Don’t fall.
What I did not like:
1) The entire pump includes the on off switch and USB recharge port. The entire unit goes into the water. At some point water will enter the component and cause the device to stop working. I think the manufacturer should rethink having everything underwater or create a longer warranty.
2) The on/off switch which is hidden under a grey cap is awarkward to reach down into the water to turn off to power each time you need to stop the device to soap up or scrub yourself. There is no other way to stop the water flow except to reach down into the water to push to on/off button or kink the hose. The entire device looks sleek, but the trade-off is extra bending to turn off the device and water flying everywhere while trying to balance oneself on one foot to reach into the clean water and turn off the device. The grey cap must be removed to turn the device on or off. The grey cap does not appear to create a water seal around the on/off switch and may be confusing to users.
I first saw this device on a YouTube channel called CheapRVLiving. I recommend going to that channel to watch that video on comparing outdoor showering devices.
If you found this review helpful, please give it a click. The helpful votes help improve my writing. One of my sons said that “nobody” reads long reviews. He said people just want quick statement if the product works or not. I enjoy showing him the helpful vote numbers add up because it shows him that you kept reading to the end. I am encouraging him to spend more time reading the actual reviews instead of looking only at the stars to reduce the amount of exchanges and returns he makes. The reviews help people know what they are buying so they are satisfied customers.
Not tried shower as yet, looks well made and will use it for washing my dogs in the garden. Bought it because my boiler broke and had no hot water. By the time shower arrived the boiler had been fixed hence not been tried yet.
The product charges in less than an hour and once turned on has a decent water pressure for something which has the same power(~2000mah) as a 2013 smart phone.
I can also manage to get 4-6 uses before a fresh charge which is really good.
Really easy to use and great for washing muddy paws outside!
I bought this as an emergency measure while I couldn’t use the fitted shower in the bathroom, and I’ve been really impressed with it.
It’s a nice clean design, is reassuringly solid and runs for the duration of quite a few showers on a single charge. It even comes with a bracket to hold the shower head that can be attached either by a sucker or a hook.
I’d say the flow of water it produces is just right – sufficiently powerful to get yourself clean, but not so fast that it empties your water source too quickly. Even so, if you’re feeding this from a bucket you’ll want a large one – I’d estimate it emptied my 15-litre bucket in about 3 minutes.
Moving the power switch from the pump end to the shower head would be helpful, but then you’d need an electrical connection alongside the hose, which might not be ideal. My only other concern is that if you forgot to put the watertight plug back into the charging aperture before immersing the pump, I’m guessing it would play havoc with the electrics!
All in all, very impressed by this – especially at the price. Nicely done!
Its something I absolutly love.
We even used it ourselves in the bathroom once, when our shower broke and it was fine. We placed it in the basin next to the bath and turned on the taps to produce a steady trickle of warm water and hooked the spray end over the shower fitting.
Brilliant for washing the dogs after a muddy walk. Reliable with a good battery life. One of tgebrdt things I have bought. Would definitely recommend this.
The stream is gentler when compared with the regular shower, but does a very good job of rinsing off the soap lather.
Added bonus, both my dogs hate showers, but seem to show a preference for outdoor baths.
Bottom line: Recommended.
I bought this for showering the dog outside with warm water in a bucket. I read the reviews and one is spot on…. this is a lot more powerful than you expect and I too have had worse showers in hotels! Great gadget would recommend.
Wow what a great bit of kit. Need it for washing where there is no running water and was sick of washing hair with a jug.
I almost retuned it because it came with a USB charger although I deliberately selected the mains model. I didn’t have time to reorder a new one so I kept it and plugged it into the mains using my mobile phone adaptor.
Such a useful item. I used it on a trip to Africa, where we had no running water. It comes with some charge already if you need to use it straight away. I tested it first and all was fine so I left it on charge overnight. I used it in a Large bucket and hung the shower head on a 6ft shower rail. The cord is long enough for this purpose but if it were a foot longer i would have preferred it.
The water pressure created was surprisingly good, its not a power shower but it was much better than I expected. I used it with hot and cold water and both worked just fine. The on off switch is on the sump pump (so you have to remove it from the water or fish around to switch it off) but other than this its great.
The pump is not noisy .
Having a new bathroom so no facilities for 10 days. So in desperation for us to have a shower I splashed out -see what I did there- on one of these bad boys. easy to charge, USB into computer or plug, took no time to charge. Then the real test. As I stood on a garden chair I placed my bucket of warm water on the garden table. As my doubtful other half stood petrified, soap in hand, I placed the battery end into my bucket. DRUM ROLL. It gently started to come through and then in no time it was like having a real electric shower, that’s ignoring my neighbours in fits of giggles over the wall. ok it was outside but that’s the only negative. used over the 2 week period and charged only once, yep it even holds a charge, something that nothing else seems to do in this day and age. Anyway, bottom line, you won’t regret this purchase if it’s for a caravan, camping, hot tub or whatever floats your boat, great buy, even the other half agrees and believe me nothing makes him happy:}
This is a very well made product and was more powerful than I expected
One side-note: Part of why we were so surprised at the battery’s longevity is that we used this shower so frequently every day… not just to shower and keep cool but to follow a protocol to protect us from poison ivy. The entire festival site for this event is plagued with poison ivy and it’s a huge annual issue for most participants. I want to share the protocol we’ve found because it’s so effective. As many people know, the urushiol oil in poison ivy is what gets you. The oil is sticky and like other oils is waterproof and quite resistant to washing off, even with warm water and soap. What most people don’t know is that the oil needs 2-3 hours to penetrate your skin and set off a reaction, so if you can get it off you before then you’re in the clear. A good degreasing soap (we use Dawn dishwashing soap) does the trick, but here’s the common problem people have: scrubbing with your hands, even really vigorously, leaves traces of oil behind. The webs between fingers/toes and the backsides of forearms are notorious spots… t’s crazy how many poison ivy rashes begin on the back of a forearm because folks thought they washed up well but didn’t scrub the backs of their arms enough. The fix is to use a washcloth to scrub up, and it WORKS. We got stuck having to set up in a spot RIDDLED with poison ivy on the ground and with this protocol of washing up regularly, using Dawn dishwashing soap and a washcloth, we avoided any outbreaks. We each had our own washcloth and rinsed them thoroughly after each use. We’re both very sensitive to poison ivy and get TERRIBLE rashes from it, so our success with this protocol is a Big Deal with a capital B and a capital D. Try it and share it!
Brilliant item, I am so impressed with it!
I go to a lot of festivals and VW shows in my campervan and the showers are not always the best to say the least!!
This is amazing, now I never have to worry about not being able to have a shower.
The flow rate is really good much better than anticipated or expected. It’s nearly as good as my shower at home.
I would definitely recommend it.
It drops in to a bucket of water it works sucks water out of the buxket and sprays water but not very forceful ok for showering a poodle dog that got dirty and mudy or for cooling off in the garden in summe
Boiler in house packed up, already bought one for holiday. Using this at home in meantime, as good as one in house, just have to charge every few days.
I’ve had this for a month and it works pretty well. Water pressure is not as strong as a normal shower, but it is good enough. I usually charge it once a week and I’ve never had it run out of battery.
Tried it out in kichen sink and really impressed. Really quite powerful with good flow. I reckon you could have a decent shower with one bucketful as long as you dont hang around.
Good alternative for a shower. However, you need to charge it after every two showers.
I needed a portable shower for camping with friends each year and after doing a lot of research I settled on this model. Having used it for an entire week last summer I would happily recommend this to anyone. The water pressure is surprisingly strong and you get several decent length showers from a single charge. Forget the solar bags, or even the more expensive pump style versions….this is the only bit of kit that you will ever need!
All I do is get a hot bucket of water ready with a little bit of bubbles, then I go on a good old muddy dog walk…..rock back up to the house and shower the hound off…. towel dry and then head in doors…..no smells, no mud, no bathroom to scrub, no walls to wipe down.
So next time she rolls in a big stinky pile of fox poo, there wont be a wrestling match getting her into the bath, and I wont get covered in the stuff like I did last time.
Bought this to use to wash my horses legs, absolutely love it. Pressure just enough to do the job and very easy to recharge. Would of liked the hose to be a bit longer.
Considering it runs of off batteries, it is fairly powerful.
As an avid camper, i could definitely see a use for this when going away, as an alternative for quickly washing your hair or even for doing the dishes 🙂
Really recommend
I was unsure as to how good this product would be but we used it at a festival over the weekend and it was superb. The charged battery provided us with ample showers and saved us having to wait with the crowds for the festivals showers. My only small critisism is that it does spin around a bit when you hang it up in the shower tent and the pump can go off mid shower if there is not a lot of water in the tub – I would certainly recommend it though.
Excellent little piece of kit superb for campers where there’e no showers quick and easy good pressure, BUY IT!!
Fantastic product, couldn’t have a shower due to water pressure. With this item I now can. Great!
I get around 15 showers before having to re charge it.
Actually a really powerful product. Boil some water stick it in a bucket with cold water and you got yourself a decent shower. Was skeptical about the pressure behind it and would put it on par with a caravan shower by far. Used this camping and if your thinking about getting a cheaper DD battery powered shower then think of this: when you weigh up the cost of batteries over time then your better off spending the extra to buy this product. Impressive stuff
I bought this for my daughter as the flat she moved into has low water pressure and a next to useless shower. ‘Best thing ever’ she told me, as good as any electric shower she’d had before. She places the pump in the fold away 10lt bucket I also purchased. Placed the bucket under the running bath taps, adjusted to the right temp and hey presto, a great shower with no need to plumb in. Thank you Ivation for a beautifully simple but ingeniously practical gadget helping to keep people on the move clean and fresh!
The reviews already on this shower unit are accurate. You know how it is camping, the bugs, the bug spray, the camp fire smoke, the sleeping bag that has picked up new body scents that aren’t Chanel #9, maybe a spilled beverage. These all work up to quite a mix of nasty on your bod, and all you want is a decent shower to re-enter the civilized domain.
Before I started, I charged the unit via my desktop computer. The light will turn blue when done. THIS is not in the instructions that I have. Ok, this is funny, Part C, #3…”Do not use shower with seawater, pool water, or river water, or with any liquid other than water.” So, I guess no nouns combined with water. Just water. Please folks, don’t confuse your waste bucket for your shower bucket. No “yellow” water or else you are violating the instructions!
I used a five gallon bucket, poured about three gallons of cool water and one gallon of hot water headed on my Coleman 413E stove that is over 50 years old and works better than new. I submerged the whole deal to force the air out, and fired up the stream. Ahhhhh, wet, lather, rinse, repeat. Used about 3 gallons in a few minutes, and was able to wash hair, important parts and body. So what if the river boaters saw my natural parts, I was cleanin! Listen, there isn’t 50 pounds of pressure, but more stream than your hippie friends with their “solar shower” that really doesn’t work, no matter how cheap or how long they’ve had. You’ll have to hold close to your arm pits, but you can rinse the funk away.
I used 3 times and never lost power or had the stream compromised. I can using see this for your pets, grandma’s sponge bath, etc. Dead realizing they need money and launch another farewell tour? Be the cleanest of bunch! And with the 413E referenced above, you can make the best grilled cheese sandwiches and finance the whole deal (except, I heard that initially the tickets for the 2015 Chicago show were expensive, then when San Diego show happened, they were basically face value cause without Jerry there’s something lost. I don’t know, just thinking about the freedom of the van, but 3 days to hit 2 shows…). Spouse kicked you out and you’re proving you can live without the bathroom that was down to having just your toothbrush anyway? Grab your bucket and say something that rhymes, just remember which car is in your name! Oh, and prolly don’t want to try in winter…may get sick!
Enjoy!!!
Don’t over torque the connections and I think you’ll be fine.
Be careful if you get this shower, not to lose the washer when unpacking the thing for the first time – this Important Part was lurking among the hanging up parts and I nearly threw it out.
Edit in October when we’ve had it a while: Mom finds it lasts more like 4-5 days and has good pressure all the time. So now I am giving it 5 stars instead of 4. And she says that for recharging it, she unscrews the pump (not the shower head) and plugs it into her computer.
(And another edit after more than a year: the shower is still going strong.)
Great! Good flow, works well for me,very good price.Yeah man i love it.
Having tested it out, my boyfriend was so impressed that he has actually insisted that I write a product review because he says it is so good that it deserves one. Well, in order to do that, I needed to try it out too, so I have done, can confirm that it really is as excellent as everyone says it is. The water pressure is much better than I anticipated (and better than I have experienced in many hotels!) It is really easy to set up and use, and provided you are fairly quick, you can have a show and wash your hair with one large bucket of water (I used a 9l bucket). The pump is not particularly noisy, which is an added bonus, and it seems to run for a long time off a single charge. We charged it initially for about an hour and have now had several showers without needing to recharge it. We do a lot of camping, so I’m confident that even once the boiler is fixed, we will still continue to use this shower for years to come. My only minor criticism (and it’s more of a suggestion than a criticism) is that it would be easier if the on/off button was on the head rather than on the actual pump, but this doesn’t really cause any major problems. Overall, a very well deserved 5 stars, and I would probably have given it more if this was possible!
Fantastic invention- works really well- good pressure and so far so good!
Once charged, you can immerse the fat bulb end in water and press the rubber ‘on’ button to obtain a very nice shower flow. It easily matches the flow of our non electric shower.
This takes quite hot water according to the instructions between 10 degrees C and 50 degrees C.
It would be ideal for washing off your bicycle after muddy rides or for cleaning welly boots .
You need to make sure the bulb (pump) remains immersed in your bucket or bowl.
The hose part is quite long enough if you wanted to hang the shower at head height
There is a basic filter inside the pump which is easily removed for cleaning (just rinse out in water).
It has two hanging possibilities. A hook shaped piece for branches and a rubber sucker for flat surfaces
According to the box it can take temperatures up to about 45 degrees Centigrade which is a comfortable showering heat.
When packing it away, check that the water empties out of each end, it can seem empty when there is still some in the shower head end which would make everything in the box wet if left.
Excellent shower. Nice and easy to use. I needed it for a disability use and so can be used anywhere for a shower and wash. Battery life is fine, get a good three showers from one charge. Pressure is not too high but enough to use for a decent shower.
FABULOUS. Wish it had been available 50 years ago when the facilities were basic!!
I use it indoors and FIVE stars are not sufficient,

My only concern is the connections at each end aren’t really designed to be undone on a regular basis. The whole unit can be stored much more compactly if you remove the pump and shower head from the hose. It’s also a lot easier to recharge the pump by itself without the hose and shower head still connected. Same goes for draining any residual water before storage.
The hose connection at the pump is a barbed fitting with an external sleeve. Since I do disconnect it fairly often, I’m afraid the connection may eventually leak. So far not an issue, but if it does happen, my plan is to trim back the end of the hose and it should be good as new.
At the shower head, the connection is threaded and easy to undo, but watch out for the O-ring inside. It would be easy to lose once disassembled. I picked up a spare from my local hardware store just in case. An ordinary black rubber O-ring would work. It doesn’t have to be the high tech type that came with the unit.
It would be nice if the pump had a remote on-off switch at the shower head. That would add quite a bit of complexity, however. Instead, I just put the shower head back in the bucket and let the pump run and recirculate the water. My camper has a small gray water tank, so the amount of water entering the drain is the limiting factor, not battery life.
To help keep the pump from flopping around, I added a spring clip to the wall inside my camper’s lavatory. I set the bucket on the counter next to the sink and then secure the hose in the clip. Works great and keeps the pump still no matter how the hose moves while in use.
Just amazing. Like previous reviews mentioned, the power is really surprisingly strong! you can actually have a real shower, even when the tubes are fully extended. There’s only one on/off button on the main motor and no flow regulator, but that would be necessary with its speed. Charged up through usb it let’s you know when it’s had enough with a change of lights. Really great product, I’ve tried a few from this category and this one comes up first. Thanks
UPDATE 1.5 years later: So, still at the house with the iron infused water. I am STILL using this same unit. I use it probably 2-3 times a week. I have to charge it maybe once a month. It is in 100% perfect condition just as I purchased the unit. I don’t always use the distilled water, sometimes the water labeled “drinking water” and I have had great results and my highlighted hair stays true to color. My stylist has been amazed at how well my coloring holds up between appointments. I definitely would tell people to buy this shower set up. It would definitely last you through a weekend camping too since I only have to recharge mine about once a month.. or maybe longer. It isn’t a huge rush of water, but it does the trick for washing and rinsing my hair and it would be fine for a camp shower. The only thing I could suggest be improved is the shape of the unit. I have to tip the bucket to not lose suction when it gets towards the bottom. If it were sucking from the bottom, maybe with short legs to keep it a bit above the bottom of the bucket, it would be a little easier to use, but that really isn’t a huge issue for me. I would not hesitate to tell someone to buy it.
I bought this unit because I have a real problem with ferrous iron in my well water. The cost of a treatment system for my water is going to run well over a thousand dollars! The problem is that I also have highlighted hair. Anyone with blond highlights and iron in their water knows the nighmare of bozo orange hair! Not only does the water leave rusty deposits on my hair that impact the color.. even the texture and strength of my hair is compromised. So, I finally decided that I could no longer wash my hair in the well water. It was just flushing money down the drain. Just deciding to not have highlights wouldn’t be a good option either.. cause the tinting issue and texture would still happen… just a little less noticeable..
So, I decided to wash my hair with distilled water. The first couple of times I just used a scoop and poured it over my head while I leaned over the bath tub. Dang it was COLD and uncomfortable. Then, I decided to heat the water a little on the stove.. not as cold.. but still uncomfortable and always ended up with water in my ears that took a long time to clear. That’s when I saw this. BINGO.. problem solved. I just fill a container with a gallon of warmed distilled water and put it away from the shower stream and can wash my hair. The suction cup stays up great on the shower wall and the spray is gentle but good enough to rinse my hair. I am so glad I got this!
Really useful item for dog washing. Just needs about one third of a bucket of water, I prefer warm, and you can use the shower head on the dog’s legs and underneath to wash the mud off. Not so powerful that it is a frightening noise but strong enough to rinse down. Excellent.
Works perfectly. Easily charged. Water flow is a bit week. Overall great idea.
Simple easy to use. Hopefully it will be robust enough. Not uses it much to date – but no complaints so far.
The Ivation Battery-Powered Handheld Portable Shower is specialty shower product, designed for several different situations.
Some great uses for a product like this include camping, hiking or anywhere you need to take a shower, have access to relatively clean water; this product will come in real handy.
The instruction manual is pretty straight forward on how to setup the product and how it works. I was able to assemble the unit in less than a couple minutes. Operation of the shower is very easy and I demonstrate how the product works in the video.
The product has a 2,200mAh rechargeable battery built-in and the manufacturer indicates that this is enough power for a 60 minute shower. The pump is recharged via USB and can charge from a car charger, wall charger or whatever you have available.
Overall, this shower delivers on the expectations it sets. This is a great product to take the luxury of a shower with you wherever you may venture. The Ivation works as expected and seems to be a great value.
