Excellent sound once downloaded Jabra app, the multipoint works well and is easy to setup, my only criticism would be the case, you are unable to stand it up as the usb is in the bottom, making it very inconvenie
Have used for a few months now and love them – great fit (I would previously not have been a fan of in-ear headphones but these were recommended by a friend). Find them very comfortable and stable on long walks. Now I am working from home use for conference calls etc, have a good mic pick up for conversation. Purchased from Warehouse so good price too.
Great sounding earbuds. Do exactly what they state they do. However mine did not come with medium sized ear buds which was frustrating as that is the size I needed to secure a “seal” fit for noise cancellation.
Easy, great quality, slight latency and noticeable whilst gaming on an iPad. Could have been louder but, very immersive
I was always hesitant about getting airpod style headphones as I thought they’d be loose and would easily fall out but when this campaign came up, I thought I’d give them a go and have been really pleasantly surprised. It’s really liberating not being caught up in a bunch of wires and I thought it would be a pain having to recharge but the charging case has been great. The sound quality is excellent and I really like being able to control aspects of my phone through the headphones themselves and I love the fact that if you take one of your headphones out, it automatically stops your music and when you put it back in, it restarts. The design is brilliant (I got the copper one) and they were easy to setup through the app. The only improvement for me would be the case can be really hard to open sometimes, which risk the headphones going everywhere it opens. Really pleased with this purchase though!
So I have a confession to make…. before owning a pair of Jabra Elite 65t headphones, I’d never even heard of Jabra! This is a little odd though as a quick Google shows that they have been around since 1993 and the evidence presented to me via this particular product is that they are rather good at making audio equipment! So why haven’t they become a household name alongside the likes of Sony, Bose JVC et al? Perhaps they already have and I’m just ignorant, but I’ll tell you why I think they should be up there with the best.
First, even before I put these things anyway near my ear canals you can feel that they are a quality breed. Oftentimes, when you have a quality product in your hands you can just feel it. Like having an in-built tactile quality radar in your fingertips. They just *feel* expensive.
Unfortunately I found the set up process to be a less than smooth. I had a few issues where my phone would pair to the headphones but the App didn’t get the memo and the like. But after a few attempts I was all set and from there on, I very much enjoyed my experience in the Jabra App. I really loved how you could customize the App to show the most useful widgets to help you configure your best listening experience for various situations. But of all the widgets I was mostly interested in the equalizer. This allowed me to either choose from a selection of presets (I later discovered you can create your own too!) or you can manually adjust how much bass, middle and treble you want. After getting things just how I liked it I have to say I was very impressed with the sound quality! With a few tweaks of the equaliser it was very easy to get a nice deep bass paired with cutting highs, just how I like it!
The sound quality really is excellent, having not previously owned such an expensive set of headphones I have no idea how it compares to the likes of the popular Apple AirPods or similar but to my ears, it’s delightful!
One of my favourite features of these headphones though is the ability to choose complete silence whilst listening thanks to a very decent level of passive noise cancelling or you have the ability to turn on the HearThrough feature. Doing so enables the built in microphones so that sounds from the outside world is mixed into the sound. This is an excellent feature for anyone that needs to be aware of their surroundings whilst listening, for example when cycling on a busy road.
Overall then, colour me impressed with Jabra and this product!!
Very good sound, good base. Overall very satisfied. Dropped one in water (2 sec subjerged) nothing happened. Riden with them on the rain and not a problem. Good fit in the ears and confort. Great to be able to pair 2 phones at the same time with calls coming in from any of them. The hear through option can be activated when you are listening to music with a double click to the right side. Music will pause and you can hear and aswer to people without taking them out.
When i first took these earbuds out of the box, the first thing i noticed was how slippery they were and was very conscious of dropping them. You eventually get used to that and i havent dropped them as of yet. I have used earbuds from other manufacturers and am not usually that impressed. I charged the units up and took them out of the box which powers them up automatically, when you put them in, you start to hear instructions on how to connect them to your device which is very easy. i immediately thought to play some music to test how good the sound was and quite frankly it is staggering The clarity of the sound even at very high levels was so clear there was hardly any distortion. The bass is powerful and these settings can be changed within the app which i thought was very useful. There are many settings you can alter within the app as well as locating them should you lose them. i made phone calls with these and when i asked my colleagues what the sound was like they said it was very clear and never once asked me to repeat myself. The buds also come with Alexa built in but you can also connect them to siri or google assistant directly on your phone. The bud are light and you dont really notice them when you are wearing them but the quality of sound reminds you have a pair of good earbuds in your ear. The in built mic allows pass through which means if you are listening to music you can set the mic to pick up sounds from outside so that you are not completely deaf to the outside world. All in all these headphones are phenomenal and have certainly surpassed my expectations. Anyone in the market for earbuds should definitely look at these.
I ordered these from Curry’s website and they where shipped next day, buying from Curry’s also gives you a 6 month Spotify membership – unfortunately 9.99 a month their after! Firstly i like to keep the box of a new gadget just in case it needs to be returned for a warranty issue, yes easier said than do getting into the box without ripping something, a little like fort knox? but anyways after getting the inner part of box out i found the Jabra items neatly presented with the headset’s and charging box plus a very short usb charging lead with NO plug, i very easy to follow set of instructions and a set of 6 replacement silicon buds in three different sizes.
Setting up the headset via Bluetooth was very simple, then download the Jabra sound App and pair, this App is great re you can change the sound settings to your person need with a mini synthesizer type facility, switch them on then go into your settings and the Bluetooth – refresh and Jabra elite 65T will pop up in list select then connect and your off! then i immediately registered the product with Jabra and it instantly issues your 2 year warranty that includes moisture ingression, the later we will have to Waite and see as the Cumbrian weather is renowned for being a little damp. My first use was on a walk, i used the silicon buds already attached to the headset’s which where the medium size, i started walking and found a very annoying bodily muscle/movement noise in my ear and found them a little uncomfortable, after 20 minutes of this i was slightly disappointed but persevered and pulled the headsets out a little from my ear, this was a great improvement but their then became a fine line between them staying in a falling out? once back i tried the smaller silicon attachment buds and found they fitted a little better and alleviated the bodily muscle noise BUT again the feeling of them wanting to fall out was or is always their, in this cold weather it doesn’t help as the silicon will not warm enough i guess, just as well the App has the ‘FIND MY JABRA’ facility which is basically the same as find my iPhone using the same part of your setting’s.
Ive found the battery life really good, it says up to 15 hours, i havnt gone that far yet, the sound is really nice, for someone who is partially deaf in both ears i need crisp sound and if listening to music or an audio book im sure you’ll be impressed, the only thing that is bugging me is the fit, i haven’t got SPOK ears!!! so maybes Jabra can address this, i have found out since their is a new version coming out called the Elite 75 T Active which has a counting that gives more grip in the ear for doing sport/walking/running etc.
I’ve had them for a couple of months now, changed from the galaxy buds, sound quality is roughly the same but i feel like build quality is a tad better on these.
I did find them little awkward to fit into my ear at times. The sound is very good and clear and drop off was very rare. Recharge is very good for upto two days with the case in use. Very durable as I have dropped the buds on the ground. At prent very happy.
Easy to set up and use, the buttons are a little bit clunky to use (select Next and previous track is quite difficult to push) but other than that a solid pair of earphones! They last the whole working day without charging and charge up fast in the case. Stay in your ear just fine.
Only issue I have had was with the left earphone when I think there were signal disturbances from other devices on a train. This is the only time it has worked intermittently.
Functionality good, great sound but felt a little bit dated. The newer Active 65t is a lot better.
These earbuds are a better than I expected, sound quality isn’t as my Sony Hear-on 2 noise cancelling headphones, but they are not far off. For the price they are superb.
It’s money well spent. I use these when I’m training in the gym and they perform exceptionally and stay in place, even during heavy workouts.
Sometimes they can be prone to falling out with the stock buds in the gym.
This is actually the second pair for our house. My husband bought me them for Xmas last year. I was really impressed. He needed some non wired ones so I got him these. I reviewed all again and they still seem to be the best for the money and to work with the tech he has.
So i feel it’s kind of important to give a a little info about me before you read the review. I listen to alot of music! I’m also a guitarist and record my own music. Basically what I’m trying to say is I know a little about sound quality so hopefully this will help you make a decision on a purchase.
I have headphones for at home but these earphones were purchased for use when I’m out and about. Yes the Jabra earphones are a solid buy. I wouldn’t say I’ve been blown away by them however they are definitely good. I use them for both music and calls. I typically find that I need to charge the buds at least once a week which is fine and suits my needs. The sound quality is pretty good, I don’t have to turn up the volume often. The earphones are presented very nicely in the box and the Jabra app is pretty decent.
The cons… I think my ears took a little bit of time getting used to the buds. After trialing different bud sizes(included) I was eventually happy with the fit. Occasionally when you take them out of the charge case they do not connect automatically. This does not happen very often but just a minor gripe.
Overall I’m pleased with my purchase. I would probably buy another Jabra product if I got it for a good price.
I went back and forth trying to decide what to buy. There are so many to chose from…
Should I go more expensive? Should I go cheaper? Will this be a waste of money because I’m so fussy…?
They are perfect. If you are hovering over the button, just click to buy and don’t waste any more time looking for Bluetooth earbuds.
I use these for music and conference calls when I’m away from the office. Microphone seems to work fairly well and you hear everything very clearly. My only negative is I expected better noise cancellatio
does what it says on paper although not good for this price point.
I spotted these on sale at 110, so thought I’d give them a go as they’re so much cheaper than the Apple headphones. Wow I’m amazed. They are comfortable to wear, have great noise attenuation, the battery seems to last forever. And the sound quality is the best I’ve experienced.
The only minor criticism is, the little box is quite stiff to open.
Generally good. Clear sound, good battery life and look decent. Easy set up and the app is useful as well. Occasionally only one of the ear pieces will connect to my phone which is a little annoying but it is easily fixed by putting the headphones back into their box and remove them again to force a reconnect.
Everything about these are lovely, so comfortable, good sound quality, the app is easy to navigate.
I have one issue the case for the puds is not great its can be very stiff to open.
Updated 15.01.20
Im find when you connect the device it does always play your audio straight away. It plays for 1sec cuts out then plays for 1sec, this will keep happening until you disconnect your device then reconnect.
The only solutions to this is once you are connected do not use any audio for 5mins and it works fine.
I always wanted earbuds for exercising. About a year ago, I bought sony ones (Sony WF-1000X ), at the time, the model that I got only lasted 2 hours and I usually go for 60 mins run + some weight training. It just didn’t do the job, so I returned it after 1 use ( I lived in the US then).
Thereafter I ran through many reviews and research, my boyfriend has the apple one, tried it, don’t like it for the fit was bad, it feels like it can fall out at anytime. I also considered buying the ENACFIRE ( which is Huawei brand) and that is 1/3 of the price. Eventually, based on all the reviews, I still picked Jabra and it proved to be an excellent choice. Not only I personally preferred Jabra ( a Denmark brand) on its industrial design, I really like how it fits in my ear ergonomically. To be fair, for pro-long wearing such as 2+ hours, any earbuds do hurt a bit. At least this one allow you to choose different size snug fit into the ear. I tested it for running, elliptical, even handstand, etc. Doesn’t seem to want to fall off at all.
Battery wise it works perfectly with my 60 mins cardio and 60 mins weight train. Just poping it back in the case for more battery life.
The only thing is these snug fit silicone tend to be too thin and one of them broke already ( which I assume is not hard to replace).
Overall, I still have to praise the quality and ergonomic design of these earbuds. I got it for a great deal during Black Friday sale, this is perfect for my workout and I am very happy with my purchase.
I give it 5 stars because this deserves just that.
I have deliberated long and hard over which earbuds to get for a while and have always had these near the top of my list. I’m very glad I have bought them. I’ve been used to Jaybird X3’s, which have been brilliant, but these are just as good if not better. The sound quality is superb for earbuds and the app gives you really good control. I would highly recommend these if you’re looking a true wireless earbuds.
Really satisfied and great value compaired to apple air pods, the switchable noise cancellation is really cool. Is supplied with extra rubber addapters so you can get a comfortable fit that I find doesn’t fall out.
Sound quality is nicely ballanced with good bass control.
Overall a great product would highly recommmend.
Overall, impressive.
Good stuff: Came fully charged. Sound quality is excellent once correct sized silicone “EarGels” are fitted. Paired with my Galaxy Note 10 straight away. Google Assistant works fine. Very light, seem secure in my ears. Comfortable. Nice that they turn on automatically when you take them out of the case, and turn off automatically when you put them back.
Bad stuff: Overpackaged as are so many things these days. Sound quality was very disappointing (no bass, tinny) until I figured out to put the larger silicone things on, at which point the sound quality became hugely better. The battery case feels plasticky and doesn’t open easily (compared to the Apple pods). The “HearThrough” setting is a bit confusing – it’s not obvious if you’ve toggled it on or off. No wireless charging – needs an old-style micro-USB cable whereas everyone has gone USB-C these days.
After a lot of research, decided to go for these after upgrading my phone to one without a 3.5mm jack! After a fairly straightforward set-up, they now instantly link to both my phone and iPad which is useful. Sound quality is very good and they are a comfortable fit…I’m always worried about them falling out, but there’s been no suggestion they will, they are very snug. The app is useful for making changes to sound, equaliser, switching on hear through (for train announcements and the like) etc… Couple of irritations…sometimes only the right bud is on when I put them in, and not sure how to switch the left one on without putting them back in the case and starting again, also the buttons on the buds themselves are very fiddly…I’ve not got used to them at all. Overall though I’m pleased with them.
When they work they’re great. I’m having issues with the charging of them but am working to resolve this with their help centre which is very responsive.
They simply don’t fall out of my ear and the charging of them works great by design. The sound is good, they’re light and while they’re sort of chunky (obvious when I’m wearing them) it’s not like I’m in the secret service.
My issues notwithstanding they’re worth the money.
Good quality and packed with features. Comfortable fit. Passive noise cancellation is not great e.g. on the Tube or commuting. commuting mode seems to make no difference. on the whole I like these but you can hear external noise when it is loud.
I was profoundly disappointed in these on first hearing them compared to my Bose sound sport wireless buds. These were thin and cheap sounding. The bass semmed absent entirely. They need to go back, I thought. I sat down and then wondered if the default silicone buds were the right size. It turned out the ones installed by default are the medium size. I installed the large ones instead and it was a night and day transformation. Much greater than I have experienced with other in ear buds. Would recommend so far.
Best headphones I have ever owned!
This is my first time using in-ear wireless headphones, I have had a fair share of over the head wireless and these are such an upgrade. The fit great in ear and come with 3 different eargels sizes so you can easliy adjust a size that works for your ears. They fit snuggly, aren’t painful after extensive wearing, don’t fall out. Super comfy and stylish look.
The sound is also super clear. I am so so impressed!
– Great sound, with deep bass and clarity on the mid and high notes
– Excellent feature set, including allowing you to “pass through” some outside noise via the microphones so you’re not entirely cut off from the outside world
– A handy app with an equaliser to tweak your sound and various other settings
– Respectable, but not best in class, battery life
– A solid connection that doesn’t drop out
A couple of minor niggles take the shine off a little bit:
– The case lid feels a bit clunky and flimsy, as it’s not magnetic and isn’t sprung
– It would be nice if the case and the ear buds were magnetic, so they popped into place more easily when charging
– The decision to use physical i.e. push buttons on the ends ear buds, rather than a touch sensitive or buttons located on the top or bottom, means that using the buttons can be uncomfortable as you’re pushing them into your ear when you do
Overall, these little oversights do not spoil the experience and these shine for the most part. Do be aware that a newer version is due to be released shortly, though, which may address some or all of these!
Good fit. Locks onto Bluetooth quickly and automatically when you put even just one on. Expensive
Absolutely love these things.
I’ve gone through 3 pairs of sub 30 wireless earbuds and had terrible experiences.
From one ear not working to flaky connections or auto connecting when in the charging cases and messing with phone calls.
So I looked around and spotted these. I’ve used Jane’s devices before and the experience was always good.
So I went for it, 150 for headphones is a lot for me but we’ll worth it.
These connect perfectly everytime, the audio quality is cracking.
Things I love.
– Connection
– Hear through mode
– battery life
Things I’m fine with but not enamoured.
– case doesn’t magnetise the headphones so they can fall out
– actual earbuds are a bit slippery
All in all though I will not send these back they are great.
Also Amazon let me spread the cost interest free so it doesn’t feel like I’ve spent 150.
Happy happy
Decent EarPods, glad they have different bud sizes to try out, as I have small ear holes. The Amazon connectivity is cool and sound quality and Bluetooth range is good. The battery life is quite short but paired with the charger it’s ok for a couple more hours play.
Perfect for commuting. Probably could do with the foam ear tips for more stability. Sound is good but perhaps not as punchy as my old wired Shure SE315s. Occasionally they drop out for a second but not often.
If you want to get earbuds good for confcalls and music these are the best available:
– Sound quality – I have also the Sennheiser Momentum true wireless. If you are an audiophile they are better but this does not mean that the 65t sound bad and they also cost half of the price.
– Connectivity – Stable connection to 2 devices at the same time. You can easily switch from one device to the other in one second without issues. Momentum says connected to only one device at a time which has to be manually disconnected before connecting to a different one.
– Call quality – With 4 microphones they offer the best call quality you can get from an earbud. Much better than Momentum.
– Noise insulation – Very good performance for being earbuds and even better than competitors. If you are used to over ear headphones like Bose QC35 these will cut less noise.
– Battery life – They grant extended listening time and the overall battery life is in line with the claimed 15 hours. They do not have discharge issues as the Momentum have.
– Built quality – They are alright. Case and earbuds are made of good plastic and no metal parts are included.
– Connector and case – USB C is not available with these Jabra and the case does not magnetically retain the earbuds. Momentum has both.
– Value for money – Excellent. You will love them.
Just buy these ones! If you want a wireless ear bud which is made by the same company who make millions of call centre headsets then you know your getting a good, well made and durable product. They are comfortable to wear and have excellent sound quality. Very easy to pair up with my phone and I’ve had no issues when on calls etc. Great product.
I did my research on these and I’m glad I did. They are just what I needed. I could have spent a lot more money on not much more product. These buds are outstanding quality for the price. Comfort-wise they are taking a bit of getting used to but to be fair I’ve only just got them. They do everything I need them to do. Easy to set up, great sound.
The left piece messed up in less than a week. Constant popping sound in left piece. Connection issues
Bought these because I needed new earphones, I’d had some 1st generation true wireless ones from another manufacturer and they were fine but the control system was lacking and they had few real features I wanted.
So enter the Jabra. I looked at the reviews and they seemed impressive. The main feature I needed was the audio pass-through where you can hear the outside world as well as what you’re listening to. That feature works really well. Sometimes I need to block out the crowds or avoid distractions and this feature helps enormously. Also it’s great for being at work and needing to concentrate but still hear the desk phone ringing or someone calling my name. You can switch this on and off with a double click on the right side earpiece.
Battery life is good. I can get 7 hours out of them in work just with pass-through on/off and the battery case charges them up quickly too. Playing music with and without pass-through and connected to the phone I get about 5 hours life. That’s pretty good.
They’re also small and very well shaped to fit into the ears and, amazingly, they do not look completely ridiculous like some of the others that stick out a mile from the sides of your head.
Taking calls on them is good with no issues for the microphone or hearing things. There is a slightly longer delay than I’d expect when getting a call put through to the headset. As in the phone rings, you feel it ring and hear it, but not yet through the headset. Then the headset makes an announcement of who is calling and then you can answer. That takes a little longer than I’d prefer but it’s no biggie. If the phone is on silent and the vibration is off it’s no issue as you are not aware of the delay.
Music sound is very good, much better than others I’ve used and really miles better than the white wireless in-ears that you can buy for your fruit branded phone. No joke, the Jabras are so much better for music by comparison.
It would be better if the switches on the ear pieces were touch sensitive. Activating the volume switches on the left one can be difficult, as in getting the right one for up/down. And they need a click to operate so use a fingernail rather than your whole fingertip. I end up just using the phone buttons for volume control. Same for track skip. The right hand ear piece answer button is completely fine as it’s just one button, it works well for answering calls, pausing/starting music, and activating the pass-through.
On the whole I’m delighted with them. The case is small and unobtrusive in a pocket. They’re good quality and do all that I need right now. Maybe noise cancellation would be useful but no one is making a set with the full suite of features I would like. I heartily recommend the Jabras. They’re great and really do what I need.
Happy with these. I did my research. I get my sources from CNET, which they never disappoint. And they are on point. For my lifestyle, I go running/jogging correctly in the ears. You download an app to give you instruction on how to use it. I highly recommend, now I’ve become a Jabra fan so that I will be making more future purchases.
#ThingsOfThatNature
Bought these from Amazon warehouse deals so about half price. Advised box may be damaged or slight cosmetic damage on item. Basically arrived new so well happy. Headphones themselves easy to pair and sound good like that you can adjust to your own settings. Come with different ear pieces so you can adjust fit. Only just used but went on 5 mile run they were good may have to adjust noise cancelling setting and ear pieces but so far so good
However now having had a week sadly having to return. They just dont seem to stay in my ears whichever buds I use and fall out when running which breaks my rhythm. My ears just dont suit this type of in ear so
I’m regularly using these in my office, they do a good job of delivering satisfactory audio while also keeping background noise to a minimum.
I have used these at the gym on rower and treadmill, not problem with them falling out which I was concerned about initially as they don’t have an over ear loop.
One standout feature while wearing these in the office is the ability to press a button on one of the ear buds that pauses my music and allows me to hear the person talking to me. Another tap of the button and the music resumes and background noise once again kept down. This feature takes some getting used to, but I really like not having to find my music player, pause and remove ear buds.
There is a phone app , it offers a bunch of settings around the shape of the sound. I’ve not played with it much beyond the initial 10 minutes when I first got the earbuds.
These have been really good at connecting to my phone (Galaxy S8+) reliably. No connection drop outs which I have experienced with cheaper models. When I pull them out of my ears audio cuts out automatically. When I take them out of their charging case they automatically and quickly connect to my phone.
Battery life is respectable. I get a few hours out of them if I have them on constantly but that is extended by putting them in the (provided) case when not in use rather than leaving them on my desk.
The case contains a battery that charges the ear buds while they are in it.
The charging carry case itself feels well made and robust. I have no qualms putting my ear buds in the case and throwing into my bag without fear of anything breaking.
Audio quality if plenty good enough for me, but I’m not an audio expect so your opinion may differ!
I’ve taken a few calls on them. I’ve been able to hear the other party perfectly well and not had any complaints from the other person about not being able to hear me so assume they are OK at the other end too! As soon as I hang up, music starts itself again, not sure if that’s the phone or the ear buds controlling that, but either way it works well.
I was planning on another 30 pair, but I’m now so glad I didn’t settle and splashed out on these instead when comparing to the functionality/performance of the cheaper ones these replaced.
If you just want a decent set of Bluetooth ear buds, I don’t think you’ll go far wrong with these. If they are within the budget you want to spend, I recommend them.
EDIT:
I purchased in April 2019.
First pair replace in June 2020 by Jabra under warranty.
December 2021 replacement pair are failing
These were great while they work, but paying full price for these when they will only last 14-18 months? Not again.
I use these earbuds extensively for my regular commute to and from work which includes train, bus and walking and I really like them. The battery life is so good that I have yet to even notice it getting low – and the recharge in the case is just amazing. I had initially bought these to replace my Bose earphones which have active noise cancelling (ANC) and I think that the marketing of these earbuds is confusing. They do not have ANC. They rely on the fact that the close fit in your ear cuts out a lot of background noise (it does) and they have a nifty little thing that essentially lets the earbuds let noise through – so it’s active noise permission, not cancelling. They are also amazingly good for phone calls. I have had loads of conversations with these and they don’t put too much traffic or background noise in for the caller which is good, and your voice is picked up really well. You can also change the ANP so that your own voice sounds less echoey and false on the call from your end which I really like.
I had wanted to use these on a flight as well, but since the connection is by bluetooth and my phone turns this off in flight safe mode I could not use these on the plane. It’s worth noting that if you want to use these on a plane. Basically I will stick with my Bose earphones for that. Overall these are handy, discreet, work really well and do exactly what i needed them to do. I love them
Was not sure how they would fit and was concerned that they would fall out. However I’ve worn them on several bike rides and they have not been a problem! Proper noise cancelling would be a good added feature though
Comfortable headphones, great sound, they link to 2 devices simultaneously. Had a small glitch where the left headphone wouldn’t sync but turning them off and on again solved it. Great product very pleased.
I was extremely hesitant to purchase these since the reviews were 50/50, fortunately I was rather lucky and have only had minor problems with these. The build quality is excellent and feel quite premium and when placed in my ears – they fit in perfectly. Some people have said that the buttons on the ears hurt when you use them since they’re being pressed down into your ears but I don’t find this painful to say the least.I now use them as my daily drivers and prefer these over the Bose SoundSport free! From time to time, there is occasionally a slight audio delay of ~100ms but this is rather minor and a quick reboot fixes the problem. The only downfall with these in-ears is that I have to set the volume on them to 5 from the highest volume since once I hear a buzzing noise. Overall they are a great pair of headphones and would absolutely recommend them.
This my first try with bluetooth earbuds so wasn’t sure exactly what to expect and the first thing to say is that being wireless is brilliant … love it.
Good points:
i) The sound is perfectly fine for me. Some reviewers mark them down on sound quality but my experience is that they sound good. One album sounded a bit harsh (Damian Rice – O) but apart from that I’ve been pretty happy with the sound.
ii) The call quality is very good – both myself and the other caller found the sound quality to be strong and clear.
iii) When they are in they sit pretty flat against your head so they are quite discreet.
iv) The case is robust and small so can be carried in your trouser pocket comfortably.
Reservations:
i) The connection is a little flakey but on the whole good. If I go out with them linked up to my phone the connection seems quite strong (although there are occasional drop outs but the one time I put them in and I was away from wi-fi they were dropping out all the time. I don’t know what was going on there as I can’t see how wi-fi would affect it but that’s what happened. After that I was all for returning them but it hasn’t been as bad as that since then so I’m sticking with them … for now at least.
ii) The fit is ok but for my ears not great. When you move your face (laugh, yawn, etc.) your ear canal moves as well which makes the ear buds feel a little bit insecure. The left one has fallen out twice now so i’m now in a habit of testing it regularly and shoving it in all the time which is a bit annoying … I never forget they are in although I wouldn’t describe them as uncomfortable.
At about 100 less than the sennheiser momentums which were the other ones I was considering, I think they have got to be pretty good value for money. Reviews for every other pair I’ve looked at suggest that at least some people are having problems with connectivity and fit so I get the feeling that’s just where we are with the technology at present.
I purchased these for the wife as I have the WF1000X. These are far better as they play all audio through both buds regardless of what they are paired with. The audio is also good and the app is brilliant. Battery life does give you full five hours usage. I will say that they are worthy of the asking price. No latency issues when watching video. The mic is good and as per most devices surrounding noise cannot be fully cancelled but does the job better than most.
I have always struggled with in-ear headphones, with either comfort or sound quality. I tried the TicPod Free and found though they had good sound the position in the ear dramatically effected the dynamic range, not the case with the Jabra 65t.
I have found over the couple of days of use they are comfortable and stay in position and the sound is rich and full, which is remarkable for such a small speaker. So far so good 🙂
Really impressed with these headphones, used them for over a month daily and their performance excellent.
I listen to a mixture of podcasts and music: Voices are clear and volume wise there’s quite a nice “headroom” type of feeling about the playback. Music isn’t as good however, it’s still way above what I’d expect for completely wireless headphones.
They’re light but not overly light so as you can’t feel them in your ears, used on a 2 hour train journey they remained comfortable throughout.
You can operate them with a single ear if required.
Great battery life and sound quality. A little let down with the Noise cancelling as is average at best. Been using them for a while now and been great set of wireless headphones. Mic is clear but can pick up a lot of background noise in the more busy areas.
PROS
– Good sound isolation
– Great sound quality
– Great battery life
– Battery case charges very quickly
– Fantastic Jabra app, provides loads of sound and feature customisation
– Regular FW updates provided Jabra (again, delivered via the app)
– Microphones provide crystal clear calling, even in windy conditions
– Comfortable and secure fit (experiment with different sized buds)
CONS
– Not noise cancelling (they are isolating) as advertised
– Can be subject to electromagnetic interference (most notably tube doors and retail store security alarms) which can randomly pause the buds or cause them to disconnect
– When they do occasionally drop a connection the procedure to reconnect them can be a pain
– Charging case can be awkward to open
– Easy for buds to fall out of the case – really needed to be a magnetic charging chase
– Volume up/down controls counter intuitive and the wrong way around (IMO)
– Voice dialling can be a bit hit and miss with Siri/IOS
Would I buy them again? Yes. Would I pay a 149 for them, given the list of fundamental issues? Absolutely not, for this sort of money I expect them to perform flawlesly.
This is an expensive product, but it does pack in a lot of extras.
It supports pairing with two devices, so I can pair this with my mobile and my smart watch.
The app is great as well, you can set it to noise cancelling mode or to let in ambient sound.
The battery live is really good.
I didn’t see the point of the Alexa feature there are a lot of limitations.
The clamshell case, I thought was a bit cheap and not very easy to open…you could break a nail.
The earbuds themselves are not magnetically secure.
As I mentioned there are a lot of extras, some of which are not so important…so I can see why one would say it is far to expensive, although I still think it’s good product.
I had purchased this after using mutiple other bluetooth earphones/headphones. I was outstanded that what I had got actually perfect what I needed. I use this on my daily commute to and from work (around half hour each way), I also use this few times a week at work it’s self or when I’m on a walk or go into town.
One of the best features that I like about this product is that when you take one of the ear buds out of your ear (short distance away from the other ear bud) it will automatically pause any music/podcast you were listening to, and then restart when it’s put back in.
It’s perfect for when people come up to me at work as I don’t need to get my phone out and then manually pause the music or have to skip back to a certain bit of the podcast episode I was lisening to. One of the other good features is the compainion app that goes with these bluetooth headphones. From here you can adjust pitch for all the normal controls (base, etc..) and you can also ‘enable’ the microphones so you can listen to noise around you whilst it still plays your content.
In the search for true wireless earphones, having read various reviews, articles etc. the Jabra Elite 65t was where I ended up. For me, it hit the balance of price, fit and size. The sound quality is not as good as Bose, but it’s not as expensive. It doesn’t have noise cancellation like Sony but the fit is comfortably tight that it will shut out surrounding noise to a level that doesn’t bother me. It’s not the smallest but it does not bulge out, and fits smartly in the ear.
I did not get the sports version, but I use it at the gym and have had no problems. It’s not fully water proof so I wouldn’t go in the shower with it.
One thing to be careful is the case. Try not to drop it, as the magnet pieces which act as a switch to turn the earphones off automatically when set in the case, may be displaced. Then you’ll have to manually turn the bluetooth connection on and off. The fix to this can be found on google, and can be done easily at home. Just need a flat head screw driver and maybe a pair of pliers.
All in all, a great product!
Great sound, good battery life . But just returned my second pair , both had the same problem , left bud stopped working . Amazon now sending third pair !
In general, I am pleased with the earbuds. Ergonomics is excellent, in the ear sit comfortably and securely. Full set of functions, convenient controls. Quickly and reliably connect with the phone. The sound quality is not excellent, but acceptable (lack of aptx). I did not check the duration of work from one charge, it lasts for several hours. Occasionally, when turned on, there is no connection of the left earpiece, I have to remove it to the charging box and get it again.
I’ve owned many many earbuds over the years, but these Jabra Elite 65t are a class above.
I was waiting for the next gen apple AirPods to be released but after reading some reviews there were a few concerns. So even though I’m fully bought into the Apple ecosystem, the not-so-great fit, and those kind of awkward looking stems put me off and I set about researching alternatives.
So in the end, even though I had the cash for the more expensive AirPods, the Jabra Elite was my final selection. They came today and they just ooze quality.
++++ The ear fit is an engineering masterclass! I have never had in-ear headphones that fit as snug as this, they actually twist a half turn into the ear canal to achieve a remarkable fit – extremely impressive and streets ahead of Apple.
++++ The sound quality is great. I was beginning to wonder if it was possible to ever get a good bass response in a earbud, and you can with these. Throw in the phone app that has a really great equaliser with presets and also sliders, and you have the full music system in a tiny tiny package.
++++ These things are tiny, in all of the advertising they look kind of big, but in the flesh, these are tiny.
++++ I tried a quick phone call and the sound quality is remarkable. I have no clue how the technology works such that a pair (I think there are actually 4) of microphones set so far back from the mouth can pick up a voice so well – it’s very clever technology.
These are my new favourite gadgets and I cannot wait to use them more – highly recommended!
Airpods do not stay in my ears, so I needed something with good functionality and a snug fit. These are ideal. Easy enough to set up and pair with your phone. Takes a few attempts to get used to the sequence of buttons to get certain functionality, but works well once I understood it.
Sound quality is decent, good enough for a non audiophile to enjoy.
Allowing Alexa functionality is inspired. Being able to give voice commands to play music from my phone whilst it’s in my bag is really handy. I use these running, at the gym and at the office, and they don’t seem to have succumbed to sweat problems which cheaper bluetooth earbuds did.
One minor point – I found the ‘Find My Jabra’ functionality lacking. It only works whilst the ear pods themselves are in use. If you put the ear pods into the case, you lose the ability to track them. So you’re at the park using the headphones, then you put them back in the case and you go home, and drop the case with ear pods down the back of your sofa. Find My Jabra will tell you the last place you had your headphones was in the park…
I use the headphones at the gym and they are great for both cardio and weight training as they don’t slip out. They are not noise cancelling as they gym plays some very loud music and I can always here it whilst training.
I purchased these as a replacement to my jaybird x3s and I definitely made the right choice.
The sound quality is incredible no harsh highs and plenty of bass (you can boost it with the eq app too its quite something).
I saw people complaining about hissing, this is only present if you activate the hearthrough and at high volumes. If you listen to a podcast or music with hearthrough on its not noticeable
Connectivity is mostly great, it connects instantly when powered on however, the left ear cuts in and out when near powerfull magnets or heavy machinery. I work in a machinery warehouse and for the most part it’s perfect but if I walk near a chain motor it cuts in and out on the left ear.
Overall though I really recommend you won’t find anything better for this price
For the most part, I am delighted with this product. Good fit and sound quality is excellent. My only frustration is their suitability during exercise – they tend to fall out if you sweat which is not great.
Had these for a few days now. Also own a pair of Sony WF-1000X similar to these which I like, but took a punt on the Jabras as they had a few features the Sony didn’t have – vol control on the earphone, better battery life, waterproof and slightly smaller profile. Apologies for comparing both, but its how I rate them.
Straight out the box I thought the sound was pretty good. Certainly no worse than the Sony’s. Charging case was half the size, but for me not as slick as the Sony – this one is plastic and earphones don’t clip in, but not a problem for me, and the smaller case is better.
Since I have been using them I haven’t had a single experience of the sound in one ear ‘dropping out’ which I get from time to time with the Sony’s so that is great. They do have this weird thing though that if they are more than 8 inches or so away from each other the left earpiece stops. Its a design feature, and not a problem for me, just a bit strange.
Longest single use so far for me is a couple of hours and this is where I find the biggest problem with them. After about 20-30 mins they started to feel uncomfortable in my left ear. After an hour or so it was actually painful. This is entirely down to the flimsy silicon earbud tips supplied. The left ear was the issue as that’s the one you push on most to change vol, skip track etc. As they are so flimsy, its like the plastic is pushing into your ear with no protection.
I tried changing the tips to some I had around from previous headphones, but the problem here is that the charging case is only designed for the low profile flimsy ones, and anything else you use means the case doesn’t shut! Poor design. A slightly deeper well for the bud tip would have fixed this.
Anyway, rather than send them back I am awaiting delivery of these Comply Truly Wireless earbud tips to see if this makes them comfortable: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0711FBXJW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Despite being very expensive for tips, they seem to get good reviews and apparently work with the case. I will update the review when they arrive with details.
In summary, very impressed with the earphones themselves, but very poor earbud tips lets them down.
Battery is great and seems to be lasting very well. Can almost do a full day at work, doesn’t take long to recover some charge if it dies using the storage box.
The sound quality is execllent although it could go a bit louder but thats probably not sensible.
Took me a while to figure out the next/previous buttons because you press and hold up-volume for next.
Pairing is easy and can work with multiple devices which i’ve never seen before.
They’re very attractive realy small and much less silly than the airpods.
The price is high but the reality is that true wireless earbuds with decent batteries are expensive, at least with these you’re not overpaying for designer brand name.
Passive noise cancelling is good.
There is a pass-through feature pipes the outside sounds through the headset so you dont need to take them off to speak to people.
I’ve really come to appreciate these as my every day headphones. Recommend.
I like the sound quality, what I don’t like is the battery life it’s not exactly 5 hours you’ll get as advertised but it’s pretty descent. I use it for daily social media streaming and Spotify but you can’t go wrong with this earbuds and the price of course would put off some people Jabra should’ve lower it in my opinion otherwise it’s a fantastic device I highly recommend it.
I live these headphones. I bought them for marathon training so that I don’t have to worry about trailing cords. The sound quality is excellent for Bluetooth earbuds and the noise cancelling is more than adequate. They are a very good fit and find myself forgetting that I’m wearing them. Some earbuds can become uncomfortable after a while but I haven’t had a problem with these. They are expensive, but you get what you pay for.
The bass is out of this world good and the treble is clear and crisp.
The best noise cancellation for a set of true wireless earphones but obviously not as good as a set of over ear headphones, but still god damn good amount of cancellation.
The app was a little glitchy at first as in it wouldn’t recognise that the phone was connected to the earbuds, however after closing it and reopening it sorted itself out. Very happy and impressed!
Dec 2020
Product has reached its end of life and has failed.
Inconsistent connection of one earbud. Whilst this is a disappointing outcome. I’ve got what I need.
Time to try something else.
In my view these outperform their apple counterparts. Fit, quality, sound and value.
Apple earbud users will appreciate the frustrations around poor fit and weak sound. It looks like Jabra have jumped on this and made a better product, then matched its price point with Apple.
Connection with iOS device is a dream and the signal is strong and consistent. The downloadable app is good quality and functional offering a number of options to explore and set according to preferences.
Included is a basic but intuitive and effective graphic equaliser enabling the user to tweak the sound.
Unlike the slippery apple product, these buds have been well designed and fit naturally and securely. This was an important buying decision for me.
It’s not a deal breaker but the charging/carrier unit has a clunky catch (borderline poor fitting) making it in my view awkward and fiddly to open.
I don’t share all the observations and thoughts of other reviewers, likewise some won’t agree with mine. It’s the nature of reviewing.
I’ve had many premium earphone/bud brands and had always favoured Bose, so it was a slight risk to change to a brand that was new to me, but i made the right decision.
The sound quality is excellent. Of course there are compromises because of the true wireless function, but the bass is full and warm, the treble is clear and sharp and the sound doesn’t seem to drop in quality walking a few metres away.
The real surprise is that they are comfortable in ear and stay in easily. One of very few pairs i’ve not had an issue with falling out constantly.
There are other features that are well worth paying the premium for too, charging in the case, great looks, light weight etc. The real message though is they are fantastic and i highly recommend them.
Really good quality! Cannot hear a thing with them in, comfortable and you can double tap if you want to listen to everything around you as well as the music, I feel it even enchances my hearing ability as well.
5 hours listening time and you get up to 5 changes in the rechargeable case.
Was going to get iPhone air pods but glad I got these as they do feel better!
I’ve had a few sets of Wireless headphones/earphones but these are my first set of true wireless ear buds. They fit really nicely but I do find that after a while wearing them they can start to fall out so these probably wouldn’t be suitable for wearing to the gym. The charging case is great to recharge the buds, I get about 3 days out of a full charge and I generally wear them for several hours a day. Its really handy that I can wear just one bud (the right one) whilst the children are home so I can keep one ear on them but still listen to my music. The quality of the handsfree calls is brilliant. The sound quality is great for what I need it for which is listening to music and watching films etc. Really happy with my purchase especially as Amazon had the lowest price.
They let through about as much or as little of the outside world as I want. The talk through feature works pretty well in the office. It means I can have quick conversations without pulling anything out of my ears. Although they are not noise-cancelling, they are pretty good at noise isolating.
The waterproofing turns out to be first class. I take them everywhere in my trouser pockets, and that’s how they ended up making a suspicious clunking noise in the drum of the washing machine the other day. I got them out after five minutes — they had been totally soaked in warm soapy water — and plunged the whole lot into a jar of dry rice grains. The earbuds connected to my phone a flight of stairs away even from inside the rice jar; the charging case worked again after an overnight dry out.
I paid 160. Knocked down to 100 they look like a complete bargain.
I bought a cheaper version somewhere wise and they constantly kept cutting out when outside. These do not. Not only that but they are the best sounding headphones I’ve ever had with good balance and bass. When first used you need to install the software update via the accompanying app. The app is user friendly and once set to you taste you’re away! One press on the right earbud will pause anything playing – press again to continue. A longer press on the right earbud brings in either Google assistance or Alexa so you can use voice to bring up music on phone or make calls, ask questions, etc and it works well for me. Any music playing will continue afterwards. Battery lasts for about four hours g to be honest I’ve used it for over two hours and still going strong. The car is really nice material and automatically charges when you put the buds back in. The case lasts for a long time before you have to recharge it. Make sure you use the best fitting bud covers for your ears. Overall I’m really pleased with these. As I say the sound quality is very good – I listen on cd quality streaming and can’t fault it. Over the last few days I’ve used them outside in busy city centre for a few hours. No interruption or cut outs at all.
Buying a new phone prompted me to get new wireless in ear phones.
Now I’ve been using Shure 425s, wired and over the ear Sony MDR1000X (a bit heavy?) so I’m used to good sounds.
After looking around a bit I chose the Jabra and I’m quite impressed, nice clear sound stage and clearly defined.
Played a lot of different music and loving these. Easy to wear, a lot easier than my over ear Bluetooth phones.
These are fantastic in terms of sound quality on default setting out of the box. They fit snugly in my ear (something I usually struggle with on every in ear device I try). Functions such as allowing noise through to suit your needs, and the ability to hear your voice in ear during calls is great. These do not profess to be noise cancelling, but pretty good anyway. I am not convinced about them switching on as you take them out of the (very cool!) James Bond case…too easy to push buttons doing it.
These would be almost perfect with a mute function when on a call. Quite a serious shortfall actually. Also, I would like the earpiece casing to be textured as it is slippery when taking from case to ear and back in.
Great battery life and just as good as my old Boss Quiet Comfort and so much more portable.
I carry mine around in my pocket and don’t notice they are in there.
Battery life is great and I can easily go for a week and have never had the actual earpieces run out of battery.
Wholly recommended.
This product is one of the best purchases I ever made. I was very sceptical before I bought them, but it is honestly the best decision I ever made. You do not realise what good quality sound is until you have heard it, and this was life changing. Goo battery life, fast connection, perfect for being active as they stay firmly in your ears! I very much encourage you to buy these.
The only thing that’s a let down is the cradle design. It takes me 3 tries to open the led, there is no clear ledge to go against your finger to open the holder and it can be very fiddly.
I do not like the fact that even though this technology is advanced, it still uses micro usb, it should be C type to make it compatible with whatever you’re using this with.
Was looking for a long for a good alternative to Apple airpods as I wanted a better sound quality and noise isolation.
These are not noise cancelling but the isolation is good enough and I think it would be dangerous in the street with noise cancellation (I use a bose QC 35 for traveling).
The sound is well balanced with enough bass which is difficult to get with small earphones.
The charger is compact enough so that you can carry it everywhere.
In short love them.
Fortunately I can report that Jabra Elite 65t’s do the job well.
I am not an audiophile, so take my perception of their sound with a grain of salt. In my opinion these headphones sound decent. The bass isn’t that heavy but it is definitely passable and the mids and the trebles sound fine. My biggest problem the 65t’s sound is that there isn’t much sound separation, the sound seems to merge into one stream.
In terms of bluetooth connectivity, the Jabra Elite 65ts are second to none. Their use of Bluetooth 5.0 means that you will never have a problem with audio cut outs or anything like that. I can have my non-bluetooth 5.0 phone at the top of my house and I will still get a connection to my headphones at the bottom of the house. The 65ts are also support all of the high-bandwith, high-fidelity bluetooth audio codecs like AAC.
The connection of the earphones is also why the I am giving the product 5 stars. There is absolutely NO AUDIO DELAY which is a problem that has plagued every other set of truly wireless earphones I have ever used.
The 65ts also allow for up to 2 devices to be connected to them simultaneously. I have my Surface Pro and my phone paired with the 65ts and switching between the two devices is seamless. If I am listening to music on my phone, all I have to do is hit pause and then hit play on a YouTube video on my Surface to switch audio sources. I can’t give Jabra enough credit for how great a feature this is. The Jabra Elite 65ts have the same seamless device switching that the Airpods do.
The fit of the 65ts are decent, after a couple of hours the hard plastic in your ear is definitely noticeable. With the correct bud, the earphones have a good seal in my ear and won’t come out on their own.
I can’t really comment on the durability of these earphones. I am currently on my second pair, and they work fine; however, I had to exchange my first pair with Amazon as the right earphone stopped outputting sound. In terms of water and sweat resistance, I have accidentally dropped the left earphone of my second set of 65ts in a body of water and it is totally fine therefore I can recommend the 65ts for anyone looking to use them for exercise.
And now I finally get to arguably my most important reason for recommending these: The Battery Life.
The battery life on the 65ts is nothing short of exceptional. Jabra quotes 5 hours of use without charging and I am inclined to believe them. These earphones last absolutely ages. In all my time of owning these earphones I have never once had them die on me. I use these for daily for at least 3 hours a day and I only charge them about once every 3 or 4 days. Don’t let the size of the case fool you; you will not find truly wireless headphones with a better battery life than these.
Jabra’s software experience is pretty ‘meh’. While you should definitely download the app, as that is how you update the 65ts firmware (you should definitely do this), the ‘features’ the app provides are pretty lacklustre. In my opinion, features like hear-through are terrible and are simply a waste of battery life. The only decent software feature is being able to adjust 65t’s sound curve.
Overall: I seriously recommend the 65ts, they have an exceptional bluetooth connection and battery life with absolutely NO AUDIO DELAY.
If you’ve been searching for ‘truly wireless earphones’, you’ve found them.
The world is heading towards one without cables, and I was finding it cumbersome to use wired headphones on my commute with my iPhone (because of the adapter needed on the newer models). After buying cheap wired earphones and having them break on me, I finally decided to buy some wireless ones. I don’t have “Apple ears”, so the Air Pods weren’t a option. I’m not a fan of the look of those anyway and much prefer the discrete look of these Jabras (or “Jabbers” as I’ve started calling them!).
I wanted something that wasn’t too obvious, had half decent sound quality (I have some over ear Bose ones for when I get to the office, but prefer not to wear those on my commute for various reasons including looks and becoming a ‘target’), and that was it. These tick those boxes and more!
They are smaller than I expected. I worried before they arrived that I’d look like one of the Borg characters from Star Trek, but that’s not the case. They are very tidy indeed. Sound quality is quite remarkable. I wasn’t expecting much, and from the reviews I’d read that said not to expect much I was pleasantly surprised. The sound isn’t as good as my over ear Bose headphones, no, but they are surprisingly rich and deep given their diminutive size.
The other bits that I think are great but hadn’t considered before – the companion app is brilliant. I thought it’d be rubbish, but it’s very handy. It allows the user to customise the equaliser with some genuinely good presets and a free-edit mode.
Then there’s HearThrough. The killer feature. Before I bought the earphones, this looked a bit gimmicky, but I can see myself using it quite a lot. Usually when you wear in-ear headphones a lot of the surrounding sound is blocked out by their very nature. Not so with the Jabras. You can turn this feature off if you like, or back on easily enough with the button on the side of the earphone. It uses the microphones built into the headset to play surrounding sound through the earpiece. It’s quite a weird experience, and I’m not sure, but it might even amplify surrounding sounds a little bit, which effectively gives the wearer super-human hearing!
I’m pleased. Very pleased with my new purchase. One more thing to note – in the app there’s an option to extend the warranty to 2 years for free. I’m not sure if this covers everything the out-of-the-box warranty covers or just water damage, but it’s something else I wasn’t expecting. Nice one Jabra.
I purchased this product after extensive research. I wanted something that I could wear during work outs and running, but that was completely wirefree. I was not disappointed. The sound quality is excellent and although there is not active noise cancelling, 90% of external sound is blocked once you’ve got a good fit.
Fitting is a bit of trial and error and it was a bit fiddly in the early days as I would find the left earbud would tend to slip as I got sweaty in the gym, but with mixing the supplied eartips; it holds its position now.
I do a mixture of HIIT and cardio (running/rowing) and the earbuds stay in place.
I like the hearthrough function which allows some ambient noise (with no delays) through, perfect for outdoor runs.
Connection is rock solid and I have not experienced any cutouts at all, even when my smartphone is in my pocket or even on the nearby gym floor.
Overall a great product with regular software and firmware updates from Jabra.
Sound quality is great and I haven’t experienced any cut outs like others have mentioned. They aren’t noise cancelling but that’s not a problem for me as I like to hear the ambient noise from traffic or tube announcements. But they do a good job of isolating some noise.
The case is good. Nice and small. As some have commented, they should have made the case magnetic to prevent the earbuds falling out. So you just need to always remember to hold it upright.
Battery life is decent. Because I don’t tend to listen for more than 2 hours at a time it’s fine for me as I just pop them back in the case between listens.
I’d never buy Apple EarPods as I find Apple earphones tends to fall out of my ears. These never fall out.
Very happy with this purchase.
I love these, crystal clear sound, but a bit flat unless you use the EQ in the APP.
Perfect reception for making calls as you can hear in both ears, and the other end has no difficulties hearing you.
Good connectivity 98% of the time, I found it bit jumpy if in a packed tube or train where there are a lot of other Bluetooth gadgets around.
would like a pause button, so I don’t have to take one out of my ear to talk.
I’m happy to say that these headphones have proved all those comments wrong. They are simply, great!
I’ve had them for about two weeks now and I haven’t experienced any issues whatsoever.
They fit perfectly in my ears and I don’t worry about them dropping out. The charge in the case easily keeps them going for a week whilst I use them to travel in/out for work.
I’m not an audiophile so the sounds is great for me. The app works really well and you can adjust the equaliser to suit the sound you prefer.
Really happy with this purchase so will be looking to sell my BeatsX as I doubt I’ll ever use them again.
My second pair was a cheap and cheerful pair from a internet shop I’ve bought from before. When I say cheap, I mean cheap – 21! I didn’t expect much, but they were better than the Earin at 250. They didn’t cut out, but the battery life was about 45 minutes.
So, nervously, I purchased a pair of the Jabra Elite 65t’s. I know Jabra’s reputation of old but I expecting disappointment again. I needn’t have worried.
The packaging is Apple standard – the box slides out of its sleeve revealing the earbuds recessed inside. Lift the cover reveals the charging pod and a further box containing the booklet, two other pairs of silicone buds and the USB cable for the charging the pod.
After letting them charge for a couple of hours, as per the instructions, I took them out of the charging pod, which woke them up. They immediately reached out to my Samsung S7 Edge and appeared in the Bluetooth menu. Thanks to Hedley LaMarr, everything went smoothly.
I was disappointed with the sound level until I discovered that the sound controls did not affect the sound level on the phone. As soon as I wound the sound up we were off. I’ve set it up with maximum on the Jabras and used the volume control on my phone to control the level then used the earbuds volume control to lower or raise the volume according to the recording level of the music.
The sound quality seemed poor with the medium tips, but as soon as swapped them out for the large ones, all my doubts disappeared. The sound is nearly as good as my Sennheiser Momentums and that is high praise. They are, however, more harsh that my Sennheiser wireless cans, but only to be expected, bearing in mind that they use their own base station and are driven by a Cambridge Audio DAC.
The buds themselves seem well built and exude sturdiness. There is also a leaflet that lists replacement buds, tips, case, etc. Mind you, with the way these things fit (Follow the instructions on how to put them in and you can’t go wrong) you aren’t going to lose one any time soon. Despite this, they are comfortable to wear for hours.
The bass and midrange are impressive, but you get crackle if you push the bass up on the phone and earbuds at the same time. The answer is not to be as stupid as I was. As I went to too many concerts in my youth, and age I cannot be a good judge of the treble.
All in all, an impressive pair of earbuds at the middle of the price range, that punch well above their weight.
UPDATE
In late December 2018 the right earbud failed. It took 6 weeks to get the problem solved. Jabra was so slow that I received a refund from Amazon, because the service from Jabra was so poor.
I was aware of the issues raised about crackling in the left ear, so made sure I tried these at various volumes for different types of music. Unfortunately on the first test, this issue became prominent and I requested a replacement which was received Easter Monday(!).
The second pair, following a software update (which I’m particularly impressed with), worked a treat however and now really pleased with them – great sound, volume, app and support from Jabra.
I’m yet to try these for an extended period of time, but they seem to work as I’d expected and significantly better than my powerBeats (which have fallen apart twice and wouldn’t recommend). My only niggle is the case, which if not securely closed might mean your earbuds go for a ride – not enough to drop a star though.
(Any updates which change this review after longer use will be posted)
I’ve used them for calls, and the sound was apparently perfect at the other end of the call despite a howling wind and my wearing a woolly hat (covering the mic).
The case is good, if I had one issue it’s that my brain struggles working out left from right when placing into the case, so I take them straight from my ears to the case one by one now.
But a pair, you will not be disappointed!
They advertise them as being optimised for both call and music quality, I would strongly agree!!!
So initial impressions are these are a great addition to my headphone collection. I have had a number of Jabra products over the years and was looking at the options for true wireless headphones. I use Bose QC35 on my normal commute but sometimes you need something not as bulky. I had looked at the Apple offering but sound quality not great, I also looked at the Sony offering and whilst the noise cancelling looked good, some reviews were mentioning loss of sound in one of the buds.
So the Jabra Elite 65t – great fit in the ear, they just stay there. Sound quality I find fits the bill. No I need noise cancelling, well no, they fit so well in my ears most of the ambient sound is not there. To top it all in talk mode there just ingenious inside or outside they just work. Battery life has been great so far but not many long trips to fully test. The little case is great and with charging capacity will be perfect for the journeys that I undertake.
All in all, well done Jabra on a very neat product, that meets my needs.
Received these on 08-02-2018 and am extremely happy thus far with the build and quality of the Elite 65t.
Pairing with my phone was a breeze but needed to make sure for the first time you press the right earbud to complete the pairing.
They are extremely comfortable to wear without any ear fatigue.
Everything is going well … having problems with the Jabra Sound+ app as it is not picking up on the Jabra Elite 65t. It was working on day 1 but haven’t really used it since Friday so this is the first day I am trying it since Friday.
