Forget the rest and buy the best Jabra!
Once you find your fit these are great packed with super features other products just don’t have
Also the *only* ones that have multipoint Bluetooth connection which is so useful
Sound wise they’re great too
I love the jabra stuff I’ve got the pro and the noise cancelling is fantastic and they do fit flat so you can sleep with them in .. I have got the last series that were Brillant but these are far better fitting and more snug in the ear I’ve got Bose, song, echo buds but personally the sound quality is astonishing
For earbuds, the sound quality is amazing. It also sounds better than my gaming headset. You can hear each instrument in the songs.
Battery life is amazing!
The only downside is the ANC but does block out some sounds.
Would recommend!
They sound really is good, louder than 2nd gen airpods which sound muddly compared to these. Every genre I’ve tried sounds warm, balanced and the bass kicks a serious punch. overall just a really good sound.
The multi device feature is very useful, no need to keep pairing and unpairing. Although I should warn you if you use two phones, an iphone and an android the headphones will favour the iphone and disconnect your android even if you’re not using the iphone. You can just turn off bluetooth on the iphone while the android is in use, not a big deal.
another issue is they’ll be a slight delay between pressing play and hearing anything out of the headphones, and the left ear and right ear don’t come on the same time. You also can’t use your left ear in mono mode, apparently this a problem unique to Jabra headphones as upgrading to the newer 85t won’t fix it. Again, this isn’t a deal breaker, the delay for for half a second and you get used to it and stop noticing it after a while.
ANC is pretty useless, barely any difference between on and off, just leave it off to save battery. hear through is great however.
Overall after a month I’ve grown to love these headphones despite their flaws, they’re about 2 notches quieter than my soundpeats H1 at 100% but they make up for it with supirior sound quality and useful quality of life features like hear through and multidevice support.

Connect reliably on Bluetooth.
Noise cancellation works well, I personally find it annoying as it lets through what isn’t cancelled (which makes sense) but find this more distracting than just a general background noise.
These are sealed earbuds so be aware that a) they provide good attenuation of noise even without active cancellation, b) you will hardly be able to hear yourself talk on calls! Side tone function works okay but obviously brings up outside noise as well as your own voice.
I liked the ANC aspect (although I understand that is now available in a software update to the 65ts as well. I liked the size, the 75ts are smaller. I liked the IP rating – I drag the pooch out in all weathers, so getting wet in the UK is a given.
However, what I did not realise until a week into using them, is that they have not got the relevant codec to announce who is calling you. So they will ring to let you know you have a call, but the active 65ts, will say the name stored in your mobile’s phonebook. Now you have to get the phone out to check who is calling (in case you don’t want to answer the call – for whatever reason). Its a feature I really liked, so seems daft not to include it.
I found out too late to return them (and the battery life is great on them), but if I had known up front, I might have been tempted to stick with a new pair of 65ts.
Case is neat and the USB C charger is brilliant (I’m trying to get all of my tech to be charged by one type of USB Cable). The case seems to lose charge, quicker than the headphones – the handy (and improved Jabra Sounds app) always giving me sight of the charge levels.
At first i want to say that i needed to give a special code which i got through email to the guy who delivered earplugs, so i was impressed of that cause its a lot safer than just simple delivery, so amazon well done!
Second i want to say that everything is so much different and better in these Jabra earplugs than in any of other earplugs i have used.
Sound quality – amazing,
Fast and easy Connection – perfect,
Hearthrough ability its just great, i have kids and sometimes i just need to use earplugs so i can hear what is going on around, with very good quality sound,
Noise cancellation is very good but i don’t use it, but while i tried, was very good.
In the app you can make your sound personalised by your hearing, i mean how amazing is that???
So comfortable to wear!!! I used it about a month now, and never i have lost it from my ear while moving or jumping or doing whatever i need to do.
Baterry life unbelievable, seriously! I dont remember when i have charged it, still works.
The only minus that with one hand sometimes i cant open the case properly, and that its a bit pricey, but hey, i paid for quality, i got it, and i am enjoying every second of it while i am using it.
Great buy, recommended!
Coming from the Evolve 65t, I can also mention the ability to use either pod individually in calls. This now helps me get through my 10 meetings a day without charging.
The case is much improved and the wireless charging is ideal, as I have a charging plate on my desk for my phone anyway.
Sound quality is excellent, but not quite on a par with the Sony wireless buds I use. But they’re not intended to compete with the likes of that in my view – they’re a work device for me.
Build quality is great, and microphone quality is excellent. Buttons work very well and allow you to mute or unmute, and also (when listening to music) skip tracks and pause play.
ANC… Sigh… This is the one thing that remains broken. The software configuration via the phone does nothing and the various settings have no effect. Changing ear insert sizes and/or performing the set up in a noisy environment has no influence on the outcome. It simply doesn’t work and needs an update, but I can wait. Passive ANC with the right size of inserts is pretty good.
Everything considered – for music buds I’d consider other products, but for work these are ideal albeit with broken ANC for the moment.
What I wasn’t happy about is that with the jabra elite 7 Pro buds you can only play and pause music with the right bud so even though they can play with just one bud you jave to use the right to control the play pause function and that’s not convenient at all. The app is only really useful for the equalizer and making little tweets like how you answer calls etc I was supposed it didn’t have a feature like other buds Samsung apple that from the app if you have misplaced a bud in the house you can remotely make it play a sound so you can locate where it is.
For the price it is there is alot more cheaper alternatives that have the same type of sound quality, I couldn’t tell a difference between the jabra elite 7 pros compared to my previous Samsung buds and Samsung buds plus and you can get them for a lot cheaper than these. At a cheaper price and with the feature added to locate bids with a sound then these would be my number one choice but I’m still using my Samsung buds as well which shows they are not overall better than older models of earbuds.

My primary reason for switching away from the Samsung ones was because some people, me included, have a kind of allergy to the actual materials used in the Samsung ones (not the tips but the actual buds) and after prolonged use of the Samsung ones my inner ears started to feel like they were burning and the inside skin began to peel and become very irritated.
I have no such problem nor any other problems with the Jabra Elite 85T buds.

Best sound
Clear calls
Can our with 2 devices
For calls and for music the sound quality is very very good I have a pair of over-the-ear Jabra elite 85h headphones and I think although not as good is pretty close, certainly much better than any other pair of earbuds that I have previously owned.
I have used these daily on my commute to listen to music and to watch some Netflix and the sound is great the noise cancelling is very effective and the volume of the ear buds can get pretty loud but the noise cancelling is effective enough to hear even quite dialogue when watching movies.
Quite a few of the reviews mention the large form of these earbuds and yes they are quite big and I understand what’s being said regarding feeling like they may fall out however having had them for a week I have never had them fall out and when you try to remove them you do realise they are securely in your ear I guess this is possibly to do with them being larger maybe slightly heavier than previous earbuds I’ve owned and they just feel a bit different however I they are comfortable even for long term use and once you get used to the fit it’s no issue.
I do enjoy listening to music and that’s why I have my over-the-ear Jabra headphones however I’ve not used them this week as the sound quality for the earbuds is right up there and I guess that testimony to how good they really are. I did manage to buy these on an Amazon Warehouse like new deal and for that kind of money they are an absolute bargain. Now that I actually own them I think that if I were to lose them and subsequently have to replace them I would be quite happy to pay the full price, so that maybe tells you how good they are
But these are truly superior headphones. I was extremely happy with my other earbuds, but these are amazingly comfortable and sound so good it felt like a step into another world. I have no vocabulary for describing the quality of sound, except to say that everything sounded so alive, so rich, so deep.
And the noise cancellation is absolutely out of this world. Actually the headphones combine both passive and active noise cancellation. I went for a walk thinking that active noise cancellation was working, and was entirely satisfied. But it was not! Once switched on everything except the music vanished.
The talk through feature is also great. Microphones pick up outside sounds and send them to you via the speakers. Conversations amazingly become clearer. Honestly it all feels like magic to me.
I have an iphone. Connection was pretty well instantaneous. The Jabra app is very nice too, and I am particularly pleased that it keeps a record of where your headphones are! That will probably save me a lot of time and money.
I realise they are pretty pricey. Actually I would not have paid full price and bought these via a “warehouse” deal. But now that I have tried them I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed even at full price. Really, how could they be any better?
Jabra rappresenta da sempre il top di gamma a prezzi adeguati. Materiali eccelsi. Caratteristiche tecniche sempre bilanciate e sensate, design fantastici. Non c’ da discutere proprio, sempre una certezza
One more thing: The noise cancellation can also be tuned to environment, such as turning a busy rail station into total silence, even without music playing. Incredible buds

The design on the actual earbuds is great too. They fit great in the ear, and are not uncomfortable if you are using for long periods, like other earbuds I have used in the past.
The button press instead of touch sensitive is also a great feature, as you avoid accidentally pausing your music is you are adjusting them in your ear for example. The button press feature is definitely one of my favourite features of this product.
Then finally the quality of the product. The sound is excellent, and with the Noise cancellation and ambient sound capability, the earbuds allow me to use in in noisy and quiet environments seamlessly.
I am very happy with the purchase, and would highly recommend these to anyone who wants all the key features for earbuds without have to pay too much compared to other comparable brands

Out the box, they come in a smart compact box, that acts as a charging /storage point
Quick connect to the Jabbra app
I have been watching movies, playing games and listening to music via my phone
All have had great sound quality and I could hear some extra background sound, which I didn’t expect.
The noise cancelling was great, especially when working on DIY or just out walking back from the school run.
The hear though is a great idea for cycling or use on the roads… But is a little strange.
Excellent battery life.
Great sound quality and can really kick out the sound of you want.
Solid design and fits well in the ear.
Happy with my purchase and would recommended
Comfort:
One of the reasons for purchasing these, is that I found that the Air Pod Pros can be knocked out of your ear easily, by doing something as simple as moving your hand towards your face to scratch an itch. I had no such issues with the Elite 7 Pro, in fact they felt incredibly secure, and I didn’t feel concerned about them falling out, even if sprinting.
This security does come at a price of comfort during prolonged use. For me, I started to feel like they were too far up my ear canal after around an hour of use. This may be tied to pressing the button, which forces the bud into your ear each time. I actually prefer pressing the stalk on the Air Pod due to this. Maybe it could be resolved by placing a hardware button on the side instead.
I’d struggle to call a winner between the Air Pod Pros and Elite 7 Pros here. Let’s call it a draw.
Sound quality (music):
I care greatly about the quality of the music that I listen to. I have a mid-high end audiophile setup at home, but prefer not to spend over the 200-250 mark on buds as they could be easily lost whilst out and about. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting these to sound as good as they do, very comparable to Air Pod Pros out of the box. This is then greatly assisted by the customisable equalizer, a feature really missing from Apple. The app is easy to use and configure, my only gripe is that the frequency range isn’t shown on the equalizer graph. Due to the nature of the fit of these in-ear buds, they can pump through a tremendous amount of bass; enough to give you fatigue quite quickly, but this is resolved by tweaking the equalizer, or saving custom profiles to switch between. You can tailor the sound profile to your own personal tastes, or change it depending on the genre you’re listening to.
A clear win for Elite 7 Pro.
Noise cancellation/hear-through:
This is where the Elite 7 Pro began to come undone for me. Both of these settings can be customised to your personal requirements, however neither seem to be as good as Apple in my opinion. The noise cancellation just doesn’t really work for me. Even when trying an appliance like a hair drier, it just isn’t fully blocked out. The hear-through option doesn’t sound as natural as it does through the Air Pod Pro, it feels like it amplifies background noise, as I assume as hearing aid would. This volume can be tweaked, but then this seems to block out some noises that you may want to hear, such as a car at distance.
Air Pod Pros win this category.
Call quality/microphone:
I found these were very reasonable to speak through. I use my phone frequently through the day and was happy with the quality I could hear, however as soon as I began taking calls outside, I received comments that there was too much background noise to hear me. During one call, I was told that I could hardly be heard due to wind. To be fair to Jabra here, I’ve had issues with Air Pod Pros doing too much noise cancellation when cars are driving past, cutting out my voice; but they have obviously gone too far in the opposite direction.
My belief is that this will likely be fixed in a firmware update when they’ve had enough data back from customers, but for now Air Pod Pros win this category.
Summary:
I am very satisfied with the customisability of the Elite 7 Pro through the Sound+ app. I’m hoping that I get used to my comfort issues over time and that Jabra continue to release firmware updates (I’ve already been through 3 or 4) frequently to address issues based on feedback they receive from customers. If you’re mostly interested in using buds for calls, or don’t want to mess around with customisations, pick up a pair of Air Pod Pros. If you want to tweak your music listening experience and want a secure fit, go for the Elite 7 Pro.
My first use of these was on a works Zoom meeting and they performed magnificently, I could have closed my eyes and felt I was in the room. While speaking there were no issues with hearing me either. Great start.
I then went for a walk down a busy ish street and put on an Audio book, although the pass through allowed me to hear the traffic it was subdued enough that I could immerse myself into the story, THe narrator’s voice seemed to be coming from my own head. Very happy with that!
Now for music – I tried a range of different genres and used the app to adjust the sound levels, you can either use the defaults or move the sliders yourself. I found the music to be full and unlike listening to it straight from the phone or TV you can hear the fine details and all the under layers.
Lots of options to adjust and test the earbuds and totally worth it for a great experience.
Very impressed overall with these earbuds although slightly marked down the noise cancellation due to being spolied by a BOSE Quietcomfort headset over the years but for earbuds, they are really realy good at it.
The battery is phenomenal – Ive used my loads and not had to charge them yet! Mostly thanks to the charging case.
One last point is the buds can get very cold, not a complaint just an observation. Mine, when I received them, had obviously been in the delivery van for a while and me sticking them straight in my ears had a chilly shock!

Out of the box, the case and build of the earbuds are immediately impressive. Both solid and attractive, they feel robust and sit flat into the ear. Compared to some other earbud cases I’ve seen, this is a nice compact size that doesn’t take up much space in a pocket or bag. My only niggle here is that the case could be easier to open, but this isn’t a big deal. The earbuds themselves fit comfortably and are quickly forgotten.
Jabra have created a useful app that is very simple to use, providing some great options alongside simple touch controls in the buds. My favourite feature is the ability to toggle between ANC (active noise cancellation) and HearThrough (which makes hearing outside sound easier). It’s very simple to go back and forth between these options, and there is a significant difference between the two. HearThrough eliminates the need to remove the earbuds to talk to someone in a store, for example. Very clever! The noise cancellation is good, if not great, but I don’t think more could be expected from earphones that are not over-ear! I have noticed that there is not a great deal of difference in the various levels of ANC (adjustable via the app), but the equalizer function gives you complete control over the sound dynamic. I really love the ability to change and adapt bass/mid-range/treble ranges depending on what I’m listening to! The bass could perhaps be stronger, but this is a minor issue for me.
Thinking about the ANC specifically, there is definitely a limit to what can be achieved by earbuds, and on a noisy tube train there is still a great deal of outside sound that gets in, making it necessary at times to raise the volume to levels higher than I would want.
The handsfree controls are brilliant, and can be customised via the app. Answering calls, adjusting volume, stopping and starting tracks, etc, are all very easy to master. The only slight problem with the volume control is that I often get too much adjustment (ie, it jumps two levels immediately). This might just be a matter of getting used to them, which I’m sure I will!
Finally, battery life is really impressive and you can easily check the levels via the app for both the buds and the case itself. Considering the huge range of features, sound quality, and the user-friendly app, I’m delighted with my purchase! Highly recommended at this price point! So go on…treat yourself!
Noise cancelling is useful and the hear through works well, all with a touch of a button. Battery life is really good considering I walk around with them in my ears all day and the case charges quickly with USBC.
It auto pauses when it senses you have taken them out, which is handy. It automatically links and switch on once you take it out of the case.
I used to have Galaxy Buds + and these Jabra Elites compete with the galaxy ones quite well and I feel these out preforms any of my other earphone options (JVC, JBL, Galaxy buds).
Overall love these earbuds, good looking, fits well, lightweight and comfortable, does not easily fall out, sound is great, app allows to check battery and many other options.
I have owned samsung buds and live buds and own a pair of bose 700c and these come up there close to the bose.
They are light weight and feel very comfortable in the ear. I have worn these all day at work and never had any discomfort.
The rubber tip provides great noise cancellation on its own but combined with thr ANC feature means nearly all sounds are blocked out and you are submerged into your own little bubble.
The active pass through it another great feature meaning you can listen and be very aware of your surroundings perfect for running, cycling or the work place.
They sound great, could maybe do with some more base but this is personal choice. You have few preset eq settings but can fully cuetomise the eq for your tastes.
The battery life is superb, I have got 6 plus hours with anc or active pass through from these on a single charge and the case carries a few charges which is very convenient.
Only issue I have run into is with some connectivity breaks, this was fixed greatly with a firmware update but still happens every now and again so fingers crossed another update will sort this completely.
Overall great buds for their price and would highly recommend!
The app that is recommended for use with the buds probably has a few too many options and is a little OTT. It allows configuration, equaliser control, a find your ear buds function, tests your audible range to “customise” the output to your hearing and also comes with white noise functionality. It’s pretty slick but considering I just want to listen to stuff and take calls, it’s a little much.
The fit is reasonable and comes with small, medium and large ear gels.. I’ve not tried it on a run, but fully expect it to be OK for that. Circuit training, jumping around, not so much.
Packaging was nice, but again, a bit over the top. The buds and charging case are probably about 5x3x1.5cm, and comes with a USB charging cable. The box it came in was the size of a thick novel. Totally unnecessary weight and excess materials.
Five stars minus one for the OTT app and packaging. Otherwise superb.
May update this review once I’ve used it for a while and seen what the battery life is like.

The sound is crisp and clear and has enough bass for me, you can play with the equaliser settings on the brilliant companion app, there are presets or you can sort your own out.
The app is great, makes pairing them up and getting the setting right really easy, does a little hearing test to ensure the buds are set right for your ears and it really seems to have worked. They also have a hear through feature so you can listen to people around you while still on your music, this works really well and because you can hear yourself answering, you don’t shout like you do with headphone on normally, very useful.
They charge in the case and again the app is handy here as you can check the percentage of both the case and buds. They turn on as soon as you remove from the case and pairing is simple, just follow instructions in the app. The longest I have used them in one sitting so far was about 2 and a half hours, in this time they used 10% battery, that’s pretty good to be fair and the case had them back up to full charge in about 20 minutes, really good.
Basically, if you get these you won’t regret it, really good clear sound, a nice comfy secure fit and the best companion app I have used, highly recommended.

The sound on these are excellent for in ear headphones, the active noise cancelling is second to none. Great bass but not overwhelming, there’s still a lot of clarity in the music and the equaliser on the app is a great feature.
However, I do have two gripes with it. Firstly, you can’t turn the sound down on the bud like you could do with the older model, which is a shame as that was a useful feature.
The biggest issue is that they don’t stay in my ear like the old ones did. Which makes them very bad for working out. They’re constantly slipping out, they just don’t stay in my ear properly.

I use them on a bus commute and also walking through a city centre, they block out a lot of noise. On a bus, even sitting at the back over the engine, with people talking etc the noise reduction makes it go away to such a low level that you can have music on low and still not hear much external noise.
You will still hear some noise, I can still hear a low bass rumble of the bus engine for example when on buses but only slightly.
If you want to hear for yourself just how well they do that in comparison to other brands equivalents you can buy on Amazon like Bose or Sony etc there is a YouTube channel that has a video showing the noise cancelling ability of these in various situations, a YouTube search for “DHRME anc sound samples” will find you that video, probably much better than just reading descriptions.
Sound wise they sound great, you can change the way they sound with the Jabra app that let’s you set up a graphic equaliser to make them sound how you want them to, or choose from some presets.
How they fit is something lots of reviews comment on. I haven’t had them fall out even when I had my head upside down while doing a repair on something but I don’t think I would trust them not to fall out while running or cycling. Some have done that and say they are fine but while I have never had them fall out even when I tried to make them fall out, they do still feel like they could fall out easily.
That perhaps sounds like a contradiction, but I can say they do stay in while walking, being on a bumpy bus ride or vigorously dancing about.
They feel well made and definitely feel like a premium set of earbuds, the charging case is surprisingly small but easy to fit in a pocket even with a phone in the same pocket so are easy to carry around.
The controls on the earbuds can be customised to what you prefer them to do such as swapping between noise cancelling on or off, playing a different track, etc and the case will charge by USB c lead or by wireless qi charging so that’s also a plus.
I’ve used these for about three hours non stop in one go with noise cancelling on and they didn’t get close to being at low battery level so battery life is good and they have a nice physical button on each bud not a touch sensitive sensor so you don’t accidentally set them doing something while putting them in your ears.
They also automatically pause music or videos when a bud is removed from an ear, although you can turn this feature off using the Jabra app.
Speaking of the app, its very useful so if you get these earbuds consider using the app too. Its free and allows a lot of customisation to the earbuds as well as allowing firmware updates, product registration (you get a two year warranty against water and dust if you register for it using the app) and of course the graphic equaliser.
It also tells you the level of charge in the case and in each earbud, so is a good thing to use. And if you want the noise cancelling but don’t want to watch a video or listen to music the app has soundscapes like a thunderstorm or white noise and a few others to listen to instead.
Sometimes the app doesn’t find the earbuds as soon as you put them in (the earbuds still work fine without it and your programmed button options and equaliser and noise cancelling still work) but if you want the app to find them quicker (for the soundscapes or to check battery levels for example) just turn your phones Bluetooth on and then open the app before putting the earbuds in.
Overall a very good set of earbuds that are great for commuting or being in noisy environments.
Edit: I bought the Comply brand tips for these and they make them fit much better. If you have a problem with them feeling loose these tips should help.
I originally purchased the new Sony earbuds, but sent them back as the sound leaked out at quite a low volume, could have had the wrong size buds in, but at 249 I wasn’t taking the chance.
I took the chance and ordered the Jabra 85T, and I have to mention that they were very comfortable out of the box, they felt very snug, but more importantly, at high volume (so loud I had to turn it down) my wife didn’t hear a thing, this isn’t part of any review that I have seen so thought I would let people know.
So far would recomend over the Sony and can connect to 2 devices
With the maximum ANC selected, you really can feel very isolated and detached from your surroundings. While walking you cannot hear your feet and vehicle and other noises are very well suppressed. Surrounding speech is barely audible. Wind noise is likewise very suppressed, only being heard when it is unrealistically strong. High pitched noises like birdsong just break through. This is all so much better than the Bose managed.
One press of the left ear can enable HearThrough mode which makes conversation vey easy. This doesn’t interrupt music playing though.
The Jabra Sound+ App is excellent giving 5 levels of control over both the ANC and HearThrough modes, allowing you to select just how much ambient sound you want to hear. Sound+ also allows you to control how the left and right switches operate. You can define moments for different listening situations and store configurations for each of those. The degree of programmability is excellent.
I was concerned about how well these would be retained in ear but I needn’t have been. You have to select the correct sized tip but I do like the oval shapes – they feel much more natural. Once selected the correct ones just feel very positive. I have never had one fall out except once while taking a fleece off over my head while wearing the Jabra’s – stupid really. I don’t use them for jogging though.
The 85t’s give well over five hours of real life ANC listening and the charging case allows up to four charges before needing to be recharged, which can either be with USB-C or using wireless charging. Again excellent. They will turn themselves off when not in use which saves battery further.
I was also concerned how the bluetooth 5.1 would work on calls but again this seems to work really well. I haven’t had complaints about call quality.
Overall the Jabra 85t’s are a most impressive pair of true wireless buds and I would highly recommend them.
I also like the hear through function when walking my dogs as I can have conversations without having to pop them out. The ANC works well too, I sure them when mowing my own and the sound isolation for that is phenomenal. The sound is good and can be adjusted to suit, plenty of bass for those who need it. I use them for spoken word in the morning and it’s very clear. The large ear buds seem to fit me well and they stay snug in my ears.
Battery life is good and the app also offers some useful functionality such as modifying the function buttons. Overall very pleased and would recommend.
Calls are very clear and people generally do not know I’m not on the handset, even when outside in windy conditions,
Love the app, very intuitive
Now for the best bit, the sound,
These buds have 12mm drivers which seem to open up the sound somehow, music I have listened to for years has taken on a new dimension revealing detail and nuances I had never noticed before, the bass is deep and punchy, but not overbearing and the midrange and treble are not to shrill or thin, the sound is like a warm blanket wrapping around your ears,
The soundstage is broad and visceral and the separation within it is very impressive
As you can probably tell I love these buds and can whole heartedly recommend them
They are up there with the very best, in my humble opinio
I should point out that these are my second set of Jabra Elite 85T earbuds. My first set presented several set up issues that I was unhappy about and suggested to me that they were faulty. Amazon return and refund the next day was quibble free and I ordered a new set. I’m pleased to say the new Jabra Elite 85Ts I ordered have been everything I had hoped for. Set up was seamless and trouble free, and the app is great, allowing lots of customisation.
So far I’ve used them in my garden a few times and also during a few sessions at the gym sessions. The sound quality has been great – maybe not the very best I’ve heard but clear and nicely balanced – and they feel secure. That said, my gym sessions don’t include vigorous exercises or running although I have no reason to think they wouldn’t be fine.
Active Noise Cancellation is easily activated although not as effective as some have reported. That said, there is a clear difference between ANC being on or offjust that I can still hear a degree of background noise that I expected not to.
I got a phone call while pottering about in the garden so a great opportunity to test out that feature of the earbuds. After a single press of the earbud I was able to answer my call and chat. Initially the other party said they couldn’t hear me very wellas if I was a long way off.although OK once I sat down. The earbuds adjusting to me receiving a call for the first time? Time will tell but not a good first experience.
Battery life was a factor in my choice and so far has been excellent. Certainly seems to be living up to the hype. The carry/charging case the earbuds fit snugly into is remarkably small and compact. Incredible feat of design to have developed something so tiny yet so effective. Not tried the wireless charging capability yet but another great feature.
So in conclusion, although it’s early days, I’ve been very pleased with the Jabra Elite 85T earbuds for the price I paid. Great sound quality, they feel secure and are suitable for use in the gym. The carry case is compact and will fit into the smallest pocket. Battery life is excellent and the Sound+ app presents a variety of useful features including customisation. As for ANC, good but not great, in my opinion, and the jury is out on using them for a phone call.
The overall package combined with the app i would happily recommend. Wireless charging is a handy added feature as I have a double wireless charger for both iPhone and now earbuds.
How you feel about the 85ts will all depend on the fit. They fit me so I really like them but because there are only 3 sizes of tips in the box others may have more of a problem…from looks of reviews this could be as high as 20% – not getting a great fit affects sound quality. Jabra supplying 5 eartips of different sizes would go a long way to rectify this but they only supply 3.
Are they useful for sport…in my ears they’re not suitable as they’re not as secure as other sports orientated buds but they are great for walking etc.
What are they like compared to 75ts. They’re not as secure (75ts are great for working out) but I prefer the more expansive sound of 85ts. 85ts also are more open in design so have not got an earplug feeling which many in ear buds have.

I want to tell you about my experience with Jabra Elite 85T headphones . First of all, i want to let you know that earbuds are used mostly by me for music and long conversations. In my opinion Jabra have developed superb noise cancelling system that can separate you from everyday noise, what is important when you make business calls in busy environment.
Battery last pretty good taking price range into consideration. They fit just perfect for me but here we must be clear that everyone have different ears. Sound quality taking music into consideration is average (i would prefer a bit mote kick from low tones), for a phone calls they are perfect.
Microphone could be better but i was testing it mostly in hard weather conditions that’s why my opinion can be different to someone who using them in the office.
Overall build and sound quality place them on the same place with other premium brands earbuds in this price range. I can recommend them to every working person who need reliable buds with premium look.
It took me a while to remember all the controls on the unit as both left and right earbuds will respond to click, double click, triple-click and press and hold so there is a lot to learn. I was disappointed that I couldn’t change the mode during the middle of a call but that’s a minor gripe.
The sound quality is excellent and every bit as good as a high-end over-ears headset. The bass notes are deep and resonant and the treble notes crisp and sharp. I’m no audio expert but it made my favourite music come to life in a way that my previous earbuds did not.
I use them for listening to music when running around the park in the morning and also listening to music whilst working during the working day.
In summary, after a little adjustment and learning, I am loving my new Jabra 85t earbuds and would definitely recommend them to anyone.
Set up was easy and the customisation is excellent. (Again, very easy to do)
I have connected them to both my phone and my PC for work.
What stands out to me is the pure quality of sound. I use them on conference calls and they work perfectly. Not only are the calls clear and crisp but everyone hears me clearly too.
When Im not on conference calls I listen to music and news on Youtube. All i can say is wow! Music through these buds is outstanding.
Battery life is pretty good. I had conference calls for over 5 hours and they just made it.
They fit well. I have changed the rubber tips to the largest ones and I find I can wear them for hours with no issues.
Positives:
Very easy set up
Great sound Quality
Comfortable.
Noise cancellation is pretty good
Negatives:
Expensive
Conclusion: If you can afford them, well worth the investment.
First of all sound quality:
Let me review sound quality as it matters most when you buy any earphones
The sound quality is excellent
All the highs and mids and lows very clear
The good thing is you can control the sound via app it has worked as treat for me compared to my previous earphones.
Bass is punchy but not over powering treble very clear without being too noisy.
Overall I am over the moon with Jabra earphone
I finally found something I have been waiting for
Charging:
The case charges with earphones around 7-8 times for me and cherry on the cake is that you can charge the case wirelessly.
Build quality is excellent too it has good weight to it.
Water resistance: I worked out few times on my treadmill and did sweat as lot but it hasn’t affected the Jabra 85t and it did not fall.
I managed to get snug fit with the help of extra earbuds provided.
Overall I am very pleased with the product and I can recommend to anyone who is interested in good sound quality wireless earphones.
I quickly set about installing the Jabra “Sound+” app and they paired immediately with my Android handset. The app guides you through a rudimentary hearing test to tailor the EQ to match your individual ears (left and right are done separately which is a nice touch). The sound is very clear and well defined. The bass is punchy without being over the top as can be found with some earbuds. All the time the mids and high tones are very clear and you soon forget you are listening through in-ear devices.
At times I felt that I wanted just a little bit more in terms of volume but not a huge problem. I have in ear devices from a couple of leading manufacturers and the Jabra 85t really do excel in comparison in most areas. The buttons are physical which is refreshing as so many manufacturers decide to go to touch interfaces. Touch is no good with running gloves on and I find you keep accidentally pressing (touching) buttons.
The operation of buttons is intuitive and customisable. Both of my other earbuds have noise *isolation* but these have Active Noise Cancellation and you really can tell the difference. Switch it on and you are whisked away to a place of silence and tranquillity, it seems some high pitch sounds make it through but it really is remarkable. What impressed even more is the pass through mode where you can hear your surroundings. For the first time ever this actually works and is seamless, there is no delay or echo or artificial sound to it; it really does sound like you haven’t got any obstruction in your ear.
The fit is comfortable but a little too big for my liking, they do feel like they wouldn’t be stable for a long run in driving winter rain, I switched to the smallest attachments which made them more comfortable but still not 100%, maybe my confidence will build with time!
Initially I found a little difficulty in the left earbud maintaining a connection with the right but Jabra were excellent and their support switched the faulty product without hassle. The other disappointing thing is that only the right earbud can be used in single mono mode and not either left or right unlike other offerings in this arena.

She could not have been more thrilled.
The Jabra Elite 85t ear buds are easy to use and set up. They easily linked to her android phone, with simple and easy step by step clear instructions.
She especially likes the active noise cancellation aspect — it really does cut out the noise — so much so she can’t hear me talking/calling her!
She states the sound quality is absolutely excellent. They are by far the best ear phones she has ever used. She loves listening to her relaxation music and meditation tracks; they are perfect for this with the active noise cancellation feature.
She also really liked in the set up where the sound is tailored to each of her ears. She appreciates the fact that she can decide to listen to a podcast on her phone, on the go about the house, whilst leaving her phone downstairs she can continue listening to the podcast through her ear phones when still upstairs or around the house with the same quality sound!
The ear buds are fairly comfortable with a choice of three covers– She used the smallest ear buds and they are perfect.
The battery life seems good; with the only downside she found, is the small length of cable supplied for charging the charging case. The case itself is very robust, smart looking, pocket size and neat; it’s got good functionality with different coloured lights indicating the state of the battery life.
All in all an excellent quality product, one I would thoroughly recommend well worth the money.
But with the fitting is there a company that will create custom ear pierces?
I bought these for two reasons: 1. to cancel noisy discussions at work and 2. while on my bike trainer.
The ANC is adequate for the first reason and it helps on deadening the noise of a tumble drier in the garage while on my bike.
For the second use, I can keep my head still enough that I only have to try to re-position one an ear bud every so often. How anyone can move I do not know.
So I just want an ear piece that fits and stays in.
I have a 65T and the ANC is so much better in the 85Ts. The sound maybe considered better too. I hoped the ear bud fit would be better in the 85Ts but I am yet to be convinced.
Pros:
– The fit is great and comfortable for my ears. I am wearing these for long sessions and I often forget I have them on. I was initially worried with the open design and oval shaped buds, but I was very pleasantly surprised in the end.
– The sound quality is great, bass is solid. If you want more bass you can always use the EQ on the app (which is also great).
– ANC and HearThrough modes are fantastic. I don’t know how ANC compares with other premium models firsthand, but it seems perfect for my needs.
– Wireless case is great. Sleek design and wireless charging has been a selling point for me.
– Battery life is as advertised, and pretty much what you would expect from a premium pair nowadays.
– Call quality is very clear. Friends and colleagues have complimented the sound a few times now.
Cons
– Multipoint is great when it works, but sometimes it can get a bit flakey when you’re using your earbuds with a laptop. I guess this is fine considering these earbuds are not optimised for laptops anyway.
– It’s a shame they’re not as water resistant as the 75t active, but I’m not too fussed personally as IPX4 should be enough for my personal daily use.
Conclusion:
I recommend this pair if price isn’t an issue, they are very well rounded with lots of great features.
If you’re not really fussed with ANC or the other minor improvements over the previous models (12mm speakers, 6 microphones), or if you’re a fitness enthusiast, then maybe the 75t active are more suitable for you. Either way this a fantastic pair overall, very happy with my purchase!
The gold tone looks very sophisticated and the casing is very neat and I like the magnetic hold when storing the earbuds. The case is ideal to pop in your pocket or handbag, but likewise, could be quite easy to misplace.
The buds took very little time to charge and are now keeping charged for a long period, so no complaints whatsoever with that.
They don’t fit fully inside the eardrum and stick out quite a bit, which is not very discreet. I have swapped the earbuds tips to others I own, and they are much more comfortable now.
The sound as you would expect for the price is pretty awesome. I have used Jabra headphones for work previously so I expected the sound to be excellent.
Many people in various reviews I’d read before buying these, rated the Jabra app for an enhanced experience. However I have found a much better experience using an equaliser app I found in the app store. There are many to choose from, so I would recommend that you also look into this option, if like me, you want to get the best possible sound using your earbuds.
I have been using the buds for over a week now and I am mostly satisfied. There have been a few issues connecting up with all my devices and I have used them with some team calls from my phone with colleagues a couple of times where the connection drops out. They are not suited to connecting to devices like your smart TV or the likes. I contacted Jabra regarding this and they were very helpful and quick to respond. They informed me that they are best suited for use with your mobile devices.
I have not had the opportunity to test these out using public transport yet, as I am still currently working from home during Covid 19. I feel like that would be the true test!
Conclusion….
Would I recommend them? YES, sound is awesome but… design and versatility isn’t as good as I would have liked.
A WEEK LATER… All teething problems I might have had with these headphones have now diminished and I can safely say that I am really enjoying my headphones now.
I absolutely love using the assistant feature! With just a couple of clicks I can talk to Alexa and find out all kinds of things without little effort!
This is a game changer for me!

Amazingly good all-rounder truly wireless earbuds. Smart charging case (USB-C), lightweight buds, good battery life, great sound and comfortable. The completely package — and this is coming from a Cambridge Audio Melonamia 1 (CAM1) owner.
Full Review
Let’s start from the beginning here. I purchased these as I found the CAM1’s uncomfortable when running or being active (aside from that, they are superb). I had tried the Jabra Elite 65t earbuds last year and was terribly disappointed so was a little apprehensive about spending so much on the follow-ups. Similar to the 65t, the packaging of the 75t’s is premium, they are really nicely presented and definitely give off the “premium” feel. First thing that greets you option opening is the cutout displaying the buds themselves — petit. Revealing the next layer, you meet the charging case — also small in size. You’ll also find a small compartment which contains the charging cables, instructions and additional buds (small and large, medium are pre-fitted).
In the background, you’ll also need to download the Jabra Sound+ app to your android/iphone. Really quick and easy, no signup required. After I unpacked everything it was time to connect the buds to my phone; this was painless and follows the usual process. After connecting you’ll also be prompted my the app to do an update to the latest firmware. This was again quick and relatively painless; took about 15 minutes in total to do. Gave the case a charge whilst doing this as well to ensure it was at 100% capacity. All good, time to move on.
Fired up Spotify to give them a test drive. Felt like being punched in the ear — these are VERY bass heavy and not in a good way! Back to the Sound+ App to configure the profile. Obviously, bass needs to be reduced — filled with a few other bits too and ended up with the above custom profile which I really like. Leaves the sound energetic, some bass, naturally balanced with nothing too overpowering. 100% recommend trying the profile as it completely changed the buds sound. Back to Spotify and the improvement was incredible! Easily rivaling (in my opinion anyway) the CAM1s. Next issue I discovered was that when I went for a run, the buds had a tendency to feel loose and need adjusting every so often. There’s a tutorial online for “finding the best fit” but I found it kind of useless. I insert them with a little twist, and push the bottom into my ear slightly further too. Note that I opted for the SMALL buds. This has resulted in a really comfortable feel, not painful at all although slightly deeper in my ear cancel than normal. I found that it also helps support the buds and the fit is really secure now. Went for another run and any/all issues have been ironed out.
Additional comments/Feedback
Battery life isn’t industry leading but it’s far from the worst available; in all honestly it’s somewhere in between the best and average. No complaints from me though, with roughly 7 hours on a single charge it’s more than sufficient. The case allows for a few cycles too so good job there. One feature I honestly love is the passthrough mode; using the mics; it feeds the outside noise into the buds themselves allowing you to hear ambient noise and conversations. This can easily be activated either through the app or a single click of the left bud when using. Talking about the buds; unfortunately the left bud acts as a slave to the right — what does this mean you might ask? You can’t use the left bud by itself (but can use the right without the left), you may also experience a delay in connecting if you take out the left bud before the right as the right manages the connection to the phone. When using both buds, removing one from your ear will auto music the music which I think is a great little feature too.
Sound quality: on par with AirPods pro if not better; and with the Sound+ app you have even better control on your sound preference
Noise Isolating: while it is not active noise cancelling, but it seals well and comfortably that’s almost as good as the AirPods Pro ANC. After I tried Apple AirPods Pro I was convinced that it is impossible to achieve such isolation without ANC and without having to uncomfortably seal the earbuds into your ears. But Jabra Elite 75t changed my mind
Fitting and security: I workout, jog, walk, and I have 0 worry that the earbuds would fall; it fits securely in my ears and I forget about them
Mic performance in phone calls: it is not great when compared to wired earbuds; but it is way better (at least for me) when I compare them to Apple AirPods Pro! The other end of the call is always able to make out what I am saying with Jabra; which wasn’t always the case with Apple AirPods Pro
Battery Life: is just great! I plug the charger into my case almost once a week or so (given that I only use the earbuds around 4 hours maximum a day)
Overall material quality: could be better; I noticed the case inside can get sweat prints when I place the earbuds back in the case after working out; moreover, it would be nice to have a wireless charging case for such amazing produc
Packaging / Out of box experience
As with any Jabra product the out of box experience has been developed significantly in recent years. I find the unboxing like opening a new present. Pulling the drawer in the product to reveal the earbuds /the charging case and the quick start guide.
My only challenge here was to actually pull out the earbuds without thinking that I was going to damage them – they seemed quite tightly packed in to the formed plastic tray they are housed in. The case comes with precharged battery and the earbuds are charged as well. All in all it was as impressive a first view of the product noting the significantly smaller form factor to the 65t that this product is replacing.
It comes with all the necessary charging cables and replacement silicon ear tips – I have never needed to replace these so can’t comment on the simplicity of carrying this out.
Product feedback
The charging case
Significantly smaller than the previous version (almost akin to AirPods charge case) and in my eyes a much better solution that can stand by itself, open and close simply using a magnet as opposed to physical catch and charges using USB-C which is a good upgrade.
Earbuds design
Significantly smaller form factor than previous models and significantly more comfortable to ear for me.
Easier to put on and quicker to pair when taking out of the box.
Earbuds performance
Can only use right ear by itself (at the moment but I believe a software upgrade is coming to remedy this). I am no audiophile but there is a better level of punchier bass – much more than I expected. Overall a very balanced audio performance.
Very easy to wear for longer periods of time. You can also use under hats in the cold and are still able to hear / be heard.
Overall
I LOVE these earbuds and would wholeheartedly recommend them for anyone looking to invest in a new set of buds for music /handsfree calling
Lots of reviewers have said these are bass heavy, but In my opinion they are perfect!
The buttons are easy to operate, better than the 65t’s, and pushing them doesn’t force the Earbuds further into your ear!
The case is a huge improvement….. Smaller, lighter, and USb-C!
One thing I have noticed is that they are mega fiddly to get out of the case! The advantage over the 65t’s case is the Earbuds are held in by a magnet, but good grief the Earbuds are snug, so getting them out can mean several attempts!
Great colour! I thought the titanium black looked too grey, but in reality the colour looks nice and executive!
Overall great product!
