Now they say this is a 2022 version and it may be to them but I don’t feel like it’s fallen in the category of being in 2022. I’ve seen many product like this and one of the things I point out straight away is whether it actually can interact with the dashboard and it becomes physically stable and safe or whether I actually fits in the air vents physically and safely as well as the windows. now initially what I first came across my soul this product is yes it’s quite big and it would be more suited to a more saloon car rather than a hatchback just due to the length and the level of the actual item I feel like it’s more of a beneficiary for those forms of vehicles rather than any other type I mean I guess big cars and vans maybe but in general I don’t believe it’s so full a hatchback car mainly because they’re very small in the interior design and this product is mainly used for spacious behaviour. what I can definitely say is it feels and looks like a premium Carphone Holder which is something that you want initially from something like this especially if you’re in a premium car now the feel of the item the strength is actually really good the stickiness of posted the dashboard is really good and it comes with an extra adhesive piece of glue/tape that fits quite well. I believe the extra part that makes the actual phone Holder stand more strong in regards to grip, is twin extent beneficial and to an extent is a waste of space now initially if for example you want to have something like this I guess you can easily stick on hold Evans now if you can stick on your event I wouldn’t really worry about fussing about this and the long gooseneck is more of a premium type of extension to this product I believe and I feel like it’s full bigger cause and in essence no one’s going to want to go for something like this if they have a small car because they know that the length of it will just come in the way now the extra sticky part of course is not really important if you’re just gonna attach it to your air vent. but overall you know what I can’t really complain it has a handy jump from my car base not hatchback type of product and my car is a hatchback but he does a good job cause my dashboard that she quite spacious not many calls the hatchback’s don’t have that space and I’ve witnessed it so overall I feel like it’s worth the money if you get it for the right type of car and if not then it’s not worth the money but suctions great and I definitely recommend it!

A sturdy and compact phone holder very easy to install all and grips the phone firmly.
Happy with the overall quality and performance and with the ease of movement and adjustment.
I’ve knocked off 1 star and I would do the same for any similarly designed phone holder. One of the problems with these stick in place phone holders is that they can come loose in hot weather. We have had at least three of these over the past 10-years and we find we have to supplement the sticky base with double-sided gel like tape otherwise they just fall off when it’s a very sunny day. It’s not a specific problem for this phone holder alone but for all of them of this type. Nevertheless I still feel that I should knock off a star because of it, as it is a flaw that can be annoying. However, the double-sided tape does seem to fix that flaw.

I’ve had holders with slightly stronger suction power, but this one isn’t bad and lasts well unless you bounce hard over a speed bump or something similar. It grips the phone securely and without damaging it.

I have had a number of these as I think many people have. I decided against attaching to my heating grill and instead opted for the window suction cup. This was easy to put together and attach to the screen. It’s got a few adjustable features so you can get the phone in a good position. I tend to use this when using the sat-nav on my phone. It’s unobtrusive and doesn’t interfere with anything else in the car. It’s holding up well and showing no signs of any movement even with all the bumps I drive over so it’s a thumbs up from me!

The Josnown brand car phone holder is a step up from the one I have been using.

It arrived in two parts and there was some minor assembly required, to fit the ball on the back of the phone holder “cradle” into the socket at the end of the rigid arm on the suction cup mount.

I don’t like to risk my air vents and I find the suction bases don’t work consistently on dashboard plastic, so I always mount on the windscreen. I was surprised to find that the suction cup had a peel-off cover and was sticky as well as “sucky”. Our car phone mount gets moved around quite a lot, so I don’t need it fixed permanently. I’ll be interested to see how well it holds after it’s moved and what residue is left on the glass.

That said, the suction cup action has a very positive, strong lever press, so fingers crossed.

The arm is telescopic and has a locking nut to fix at the chosen length. The ring around the ball and socket joint tightens to keep the phone holder firmly in place. When the collar on the ball joint behind the holder is tightened there’s still enough movement to adjust exactly where the phone is pointing.

Most important, unlike my old phone holder there’s no jiggle when the car’s in motion. The rigid arm keeps the phone very stable.

The cradle of the phone holder isn’t quite as big as I was expecting. I like to keep my phone in a flip-front mock leather case, so I have to take it out of the case to use it in the car. That’s the only major downside.

The other small problem is with the “wings” of the holder cradle. They’re a standard ratchet style that open when you press a button on the base of the cradle. don’t fully. There’s not enough of a spring in the mechanism, so when they open you have to pull them apart.

At time of review the Josnown phone holder is a mid market price range 14.99.

It’s a little chunky but then that inspires confidence in its build, especially when bouncing around British pot holed roads. The connecting surface has a sticky substance plus suction to keep it on and it hasn’t moved at all since I put it in. The adjustments need some time spent on them to get right but the configurations should mean you can get the right position you need. The release and grip mechanism also means it will fit many different sizes with the right gaps at the bottom for charging cables.

No complaints with this holder: the joints can be easily tightened to hold your device security, the ability to lenthen the arm is a nice feature, and the suction/adhesion to the windscreen is fine. I’ve given up on using these on my dash btw– I’ve found that over time they tend to leak air when it gets hot and eventually the come off on their own, usually at the most in-opportune time. Besides, I’ve noticed that most of these leave a bit of residue on the dash that is harder to remove than from the windshield. But this holder will work in either orientation, though I can’t speak to the ability to remain stuck to the dash. But it is a fine product otherwise, especialy for the money.

This car phone holder is suitable for most makes of mobile phones, such as iPhone, Samsung and Huawei etc. It’s currently priced at 11.99 or 9.59 for Prime members

The holder has a vacuum cup which has sticky gel on it, so that it sticks better to the surface. It can be stuck on the windshield, dashboard and flat surfaces

The holder can be used landscape or portrait and the arm can be moved from 4.3″ to 6.3″. The arm can be safely adjusted using one hand. It also holds the phone securely. There’s a release button at the side for when you want to remove the phone

My son has been using this phone holder in his van for a couple of weeks now (he has a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra) and he’s really happy with how the phone fits, even with a case on and says its easy to move about when he’s using maps etc. Happy to recommend

If you only choice is to mount your phone holder on the windscreen then this is the one to get.

It does extend to a full 20cm which should help you keep the phone in arms reach and viewable distance when driving but unless it’s resting on the dash at full extended position you can expect some vibrations.

Not a bad holder at all, I’ve had and used similar design previously without any gripes and this model is no exception. The suction cup is tacky to touch and stick really well when the vacuum is engaged however try sticking it on your dash which isn’t as smooth as glass then it’s not going to stay in place long. It does require a smooth flat non porous surface to be able to mount securely.

If you only option is to windscreen mount then this is the one ..

Having looked for other alternatives I found this on Amazon search list & at the time it was discounted to a reasonable price with next day delivery. Great produc

The design of this phone holder allows plenty of adjustment of position. Height, reach and angle can all be adapted to suit the dashboard shape. It can also be attached to a windscreen. But the finger-knobs are fiddly and require a lot of pressure to fully tighten. It took me a fair amount of time to get the angles right before committing to stick the base to the dashboard.
I didn’t like the sticky pad fitted to the suction cup because I’m not sure it wouldn’t leave a mark on the dashboard after being in the glare of hot sunshine for days on end. I would have preferred a simple suction cup and would have attached the holder to the windscreen if I could.
One big problem with my car was fitting this next to the pop-up navigation/media screen which dominates the centre of the dashboard. Eventually I gave up trying as I couldn’t achieve a safe position so that I could see my phone screen easily and quickly without taking my eyes off the road for too long. However, for cars without this feature this holder should work well, albeit with a fiddly installation. The price is very reasonable.

I’ve tried two or three different types of car phone holders, and this is the best yet. I wasn’t too happy about having the phone attached to the heating grill, so eliminated those holders. Another was a little too short, limiting where I could position the phone (I don’t like to have it in my eyeline. Another wouldn’t easily hold my phone in its wallet case, which is a bit of a deal-breaker because it’s too much of a faff to take the case off each time I use the car.

This design initially looked a little bulky, but that gives it real solidity, and the longer arm means it can be anchored almost anywhere on the dashboard (where there’s a flat surface), allowing me to position the phone exactly where I want it. The suction pad is rock solid; the holder is very secure and expands to fit my phone in its case; the quick-release mechanism is just that, and the holder can easily be rotated and repositioned. We have some very uneven roads in our area, but this holder has been rock solid and the phone is very secure.

A very good product at a reasonable price.

Rock solid and easy to position for optimum visibility

This is a simple and lightweight phone holder that does pretty much anyone would want, if needing a sucker to mount it.

The sucker has a small lever that draws in the pad to create a vacuum, but it’s also sticky so should fit on most surfaces. It’s that clear sticky material that can be used again without leaving residue.

There’s one articulated arm that can be set at virtually any angle (around 240 degrees) and can be locked in place. It uses teeth to keep it in place, so you don’t have to really tighten the knob. The arm can extend from around 12cm to 17cm away from the mount (a 5cm extension) and can also be locked in place.

Onto the arm there’s the usual ball and socket joint to mount the phone holder. This has large grips at the side which can only be opened by pressing the small button in on the side. A ratchet closes them, so it’s a good, tight grip. They are designed to miss side buttons, which they do on my Sony really well. There’s a gap at the bottom to allow a central charging lead to pass through.

As I couldn’t use air vent mounts (the round ones in a MINI don’t really make it easy) and the dashboard isn’t smooth, this was the only option to add to my central speedo. It doesn’t cover anything that I can’t get on the display behind the steering wheel.

Keeps my phone in position and doesn’t work loose.

    Perfect for my needs.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersStrong enough frame for mounting on the dash or windscreen, very strong adhesive on the suction cup so it’s very secure.

The holder is nice and provides the grip on your device you’d expect, it also has an automatic opening button that slowly detracts the side grips when held down so you don’t need to fiddle about with pulling the two sides apart like some that are pulled together via a spring loaded mechanism, to close it just sit your phone in the stand and squeeze the side together.

The arm has some good mobility as the holder rotates on a ball head for easy position tilting and the arm itself is loosened and tightened by a plastic screw on the side once you’ve found the best position for you.

Overall for 11.99 it’s a solid phone holder with pretty good build quality.

Phone holder is nice and sturdy which sticks to the dashboard or the windscreen using a strong suction which is also washable and reusable. Suction on this is very strong and hard to remove which is reassuring and gives me a peace of mind when placing an expensive phone on it; although, when it is needed to be moved or readjusted, it is a bit of a nightmare.

Has quite a lot of range of motion when finally suctioned in which is locked in using a finger tightened switch.

Really good phone holder for medium to large sized phones, comes with a couple of different options to install either on dash board/windscreen or air vents.
Suction is good on windscreen, not so good on dash but fine and secure on most vents. My friend borrowed it and has a large sized phone, he has an old car and the vents would not hold the weight of the phone in the stand which is something to consider. Stayed very well put on the windscreen with no issues at all.

Definitely a must have for cars! Adjustable size for phones to fit well and not overly clunky

I am pleased to use this car phone holder, since with the weight of all of my phones I don’t tend to get on well with magnet holders and other flimsy types.

This phone holder uses suction to the windscreen or dash board and is very well made, strong and secure. It is very simple to set up with a button on the side for easy opening to place your phone inside and close shut and very easy removal, I have had holders that make it difficult to remove your phone with ease but this is great!

This holder also allows access for a phone wire to charge and has an extendable arm this is good value a reasonable price to similar products in the market.

Josnown Car Phone Holder, 2022 Upgraded Shockproof Car Phone Mount, Strong Suction

This is a good phone holder that actually stays put on the windscreen, even when in direct sunlight, as this happens to make some holders fall off, this one has stayed on for a week so far and counting, touch wood as they say.

The main feature I like about this holder is the smooth opening mechanism of the phone grips, holding the button down at the side, the phone is gently released, not like on some holders where you press the release button and the holder just springs outwards with the phone dropping half the time.

You can attach this to the dashboard but I have found that unless the surface is completely smooth then they don’t have a tendency to stay on, this is best used on glass. Ensure you use some screen wipes, or in my case lens cleaner, on the area where you wish to attach this holder and it should hold extremely well.

I have used my Sony Xperia 1 II which has a 6 inch screen and it fits lovely, even with the case on, my wife’s Iphone 8 with a huge case fits in snuggly. The side holders are covered in a silicon material that works effectively at keeping hold of the phone, even when going over potholes 🙂 This silicon material is also found on the bottom supports, talking of these supports, they’re positioned so that a charging cable can reach the phones port.

The back of the phone rest is textured and made from some kind of soft rubber material, I guess this is to provide even more support and to dissipate heat from the phone.

You get more or less 180 degree movement on the main arm and the holder itself can turn 360 degrees, thus you could have your phone in the horizontal position if you so wished.

Overall, I’m very pleased with this holder and the price is competitive at 9.58.

    Recommended.

This phone holder is very versatile as it has a wide range of adjustments and fitting options.

I had struggled to find a phone holder that would work well in a Land Rover Defender as nothing would fit onto the vents and most suction types left the phone out of reach. This holder gets around those issues for me and is proving to offer a reasonable solution, but it does have some limitations.

There are one or two things that could be better, e.g. the opening mechanism is very slow and over dampened; there’s only one release button on the right hand side (others have two and this could be annoying depending on whether you’re left or right handed); the unit has quite a plasticky feel to it (yes it’s plastic but it does feel a little cheap – particularly the screw knobs); it droops and wobbles a bit when the arm is fully extended; and finally, the support feet aren’t adjustable like many, i.e. they don’t extend downwards, so this isn’t ideal to accommodate larger phones.

Negatives aside, the suction on the windscreen is good and the wide range of adjustments does mean that this phone holder has some real versatility. In my case I was able to rest the extended arm on part of the dashboard and this reduced the amount of wobble mentioned above.

The price when ordered was 12.77, but at the time of testing it was on offer for 9.58 (a 25% saving). For under 10 I can live with the shortcomings outlined above and would recommend it on that basis.

    Functional, but a little clunky…

This is a fantastic product, arrived well boxed and the 2 components were individually wrapped and secured within the box to prevent any damage.

The holder feels very good quality, strong and stable. It connects with a suction cup to the dashboard. There is an instruction manual, but I didn’t need it as it was simple enough to work out. The phone holder was easy to connect and tighten to where I needed it, also the range of motion the phone holder has is great and allows you to adjust it to any position that you need.

To accommodate your phone size, there is a very simple button that you press that adjusts the size of the housing so you can have your phone sat as tight or as loose as you prefer. This is a really simple process and you can have your phone set up and ready in under 5 minutes.

I think the price of this item is very reasonable and lives up to expectations. I use this in my car for a sat nav and I can use this comfortably without being distracted whilst driving.

Fantastic addition to my car and I haven’t had any issues at all.

My first impression of this car phone holder was that the bit that holds the phone is smaller (shorter) than I expected. For a medium sized mobile phone, the grip is holding it nearer the bottom than the top (see photo). However, this has not had any impact on its ability to securely hold the phone. The grips move in and out to accommodate a wide range of phone sizes. It comes with instructions, but it is fairly easy to set up. The suction pad sticks well to the windscreen and the telescopic pole that extends from the mount can be adjusted in length. Using it is a van which needs the pole close to its maximum length it is a bit wobbly, but so far it has not come off. Also, with the positioning of the side grips you can end up with it positioned so that the grips are pressing on the buttons on the side of the phone which is really not ideal (but whether that is an issue will depend on what phone you have and how you position it). It does the required job.

his is a car phone holder with extendable arm, its design should fit most car, my car got a windscreen quite far from the dashboard, this car phone can still makes the phone very close to my sight

there is some adhesive with the suction cup at the bottom, so it attaches to the windscreen very securely, there are 3 joints with the phone holder, so the phone could be flexible enough to set a perfect angle for me

the phone holder grip got all round silicone pads, so the phone will stay super stable when in the holder, it features a one-button release function so the grip will release the phone with one press; however i found it’s a bit hard to press the button while my phone is on the holder, also the release speed is quite slow, a bit annoying when i want to get my phone out of it

No point spending 100s on a Satnav when you can just use a phone to direct you to new places – this does the job. Easy to set up (how to connect the two pieces together confused me for a while but I managed to figure it out, it just needs a little push and it’ll pop into place! Silly me).

I took it out on a drive and it sticks to my dash nicely and holds my phone steadily – just push the button on the side to remove your phone. All boxes ticked!

The unit is made of plastic but sturdy and well made.

To help the cradle to stick to most surfaces not only does it have a suction cup but the cup is also sticky which gives it that extra hold.

It is easy install the phone on the holder and remove it. The holder is a soft material so not to damage the phone and there is a handy button to release the arms when removing the phone. The holder also has a gap at the base to enable the power cable to be inserted for charging.

Different to any other holders I have had previously this has an extending arm to bring the cradle closer to you. However if you have the cradle at a low position the weight of the phone is more than the suction can take and will tip over.

I use this on my desk and also in my car and would recommend its use.

Suction is very good and stable

Powerful suction, struggled a bit to take it of the windscreen, this is without the vacuum suction ( lock lever ), so a strong hold and rigid overall.
Good grip of the phone and easy to rotate to landscape mode, and not obvious vibration when the car is moving.
The telescopic arm also handy to bring the phone closer to you, not very long, but extra 5cm does help.

Assembly is not my strong point, so I was relieved to discover that this mobile phone bracket was extremely easy to put together. I’ve been looking for something like this for ages and this fits the bill perfectly. I have a Huawei P20 mobile phone (in a sturdy, shockproof case) and the whole thing fits beautifully into the mount. The width can be adjusted, so I imagine it will accommodate just about any phone. The box says the bracket is stretchable 55-95mm. The arm is adjustable too, so you can ensure the perfect position on the window or dashboard. “Telescopic arm range” is 90-140mm. I have no idea what this means but basically it works v good! I also have literally no sense of direction, so rely on Google Maps regularly. This product is going to make my life so much easier and less stressful. I’m delighted with it!

There are loads of these available so it needs something extra to stand out. This one secures well with sticky pad and suction. I’m not sure about the sticky pad as it means it’s a semi-permanent fixture, but aside from that, it’s very good

The surface you adhere this to has to be completely smooth, meaning it can be hard to get it to stick if you have dust or even a slight bump on the surface you are trying to attach it to, but I have found that one it is attached it sticks well and holds my phone securely.

car phone holder. As always with this manufacturer the item arrived in lovely condition and presented in a tough and durable retail box. (Great for wrapping up and gifting). Inside the item sits nice inside the box and comes with clear instructions for setup. Quick easy and efficient locking mechanism for your air vent and then the holder itself has a great hold for universal fitting of phones. There is also a slot underneath to allow your cable to slot through to charge your phone. You can also slightly angle and adjust to allow a clearer vision. Great for Google maps and Spotify on the go! All perfect 🙂 very happy and a great price!

I quite liked this car phone holder it was just the right size and did not obstruct my window view at all. This is perfect to avoid the hassle of different cables and wires as this charges your device too! This was also quite easy to install and put on my window. The suction is quite good and sticks on nice and easily. The phone holder is also quite durable and sturdy and holds my one plus 9 pretty well, despite its heavy case . I have gone over many speed humps quickly and braked unexpectedly and this has remained in one place without moving or falling off. Needless to say I am quite happy with this and would definitely recommend

The suction cup has strong adsorption and firm stickiness. There is a latch in the middle of the chassis, which cannot be ignored.
360 degree rotatable stand panel and retractable stand length. It is compatible with various mobile phone models. The carbon fiber bracket panel is anti-wear and does not scratch the phone’s casing when it is placed in the phone. There are non-slip silicone pads inside the clips on the left, right and lower ends of the stand. Therefore, the firmness and stability of the mobile phone placement.
The one-button switch makes it easy to pick up and place the phone, and a light press on the right button opens the clip.

Strong suction, good value for money

This phone holder is excellent and very easy to install either via the suction cup which you can place against your windscreen or by attaching to one of the heater vents. Personally I prefer to mount this to the windscreen as I don’t have to turn my head and all the voice activated functions of the phone in my case the Samsung Galaxy S10 still work perfectly fine. Attaching and removing your phone is quick and easy and I’ve had no issues over speed bumps with my phone or the holder moving so this is fantastic and comes highly recommended.

This phone holder is super stable. The stable triangular structure formed by the silicone side arms and the bottom bracket holds your phone firmly. Strong compatibility. The car phone holders has retractable side arms allowing you to use majority phones out there. Has good adjustability as you can adjust the 360 rotating ball and switch between horizontal and vertical screens and view the phone from multiple angles.
