Lovely bird suitable for all ages
Lovely bird, suitable for all ages. My kids loved it. It got many sensors to detect movement, sound, touch and light. A true interactive companion. Battery last forever; been using it for last 4 weeks and no issues with batteries. Bird has attractive colours and mimics real bird voice. Love the house with this bird signing all day along.

It won't replace your real cat!
I have read some of the reviews and found one or two really distressing because the expectations of this mechanical robotic cat were so high that they found it a let-down. It’s not a real cat and won’t replace one entirely. I’m a cat-lover, and when we lost our older cat It broke my heart, so I bought the silver and white cat against the time we lose our younger one and we feel we are getting to the stage where a cat may outlive us. The cat’s meow ~is~ loud, but then, I’m deaf and for an older (than me!) person who is perhaps very hard of hearing they will hear this, and maybe won’t hear all the whirring and clicks that go with the movement. All that said, and accepting that it is a toy for grown-ups, I occasionally pick mine up and set it going to make sure it’s still working well, and I do cuddle it. The body isn’t flexible and won’t mould to yours as a real cat’s would, but someone who is lonely may find it a great comfort to them as they sit with it on their lap and stroke it. I’m sure when our real cat dies, my ‘joy for all’ cat will be a comfort to me.
Great Little Pal
If you’re lonely, I can’t recommend this enough. Sadly I lost my husband 6 months ago, within weeks of moving to a new area miles away from friends or family. Consequently I have been feeling very isolated & lonely & after reading reviews, decided to give this a go. I was rather apprehensive about the price but am so glad I took the chance. Even if you aren’t stroking it, it sits letting out occasional barks & yelps which makes you feel that you have some company. It does sound mechanical when it turns it’s head but you tend not to notice it. Can’t comment on battery life as I’ve only had him for 4 days but I think for the price it would be a nice gesture on the seller’s part to include a pack of spares.
who has Alzheimer’s disease. She takes it everywhere ! Amazing 🥰
who has Alzheimer’s disease. She takes it everywhere ! Amazing 🥰
This has been used as a therapy cat for my mothers .
Batteries expensive, although it is adored by my mum, it could have been cheaper because its a therapy cat.
Worth it’s weight in gold ,my Mum has fallen in love with him named him Fudge.Tha difference in her is amazing .We bought it for her 100th Birthday this month .
This has been an incredible success. Mum’s mental health has suffered during the pandemic, but this purchase of “Henry” as we call him has improved things dramatically for Mum. She thinks Henry is the best thing at the care home. The manager and senior carer have been amazed at the benefit he has produced. Mum takes Henry everywhere she goes, and if she goes to breakfast without him she has to go back for him. He also is great for breaking the ice between her and other residents, providing a useful talking point. He provides Mum with companionship and comfort that she craves. The manager even suggested doing a case study on my mother.
Both the manager and I think we should be on commission as we keep extolling his virtues to people. My only concern now is that there might be so many purchases in the care home that there wont be enough variety of dogs to make them sufficiently individual.
It’s ok
Good stuff first. It looks just like a cat, the colour is lovely so is the fur the battery life is fine it purrs like a good ‘un and it does all of the movements it says it will, BUT.It doesn’t have enough padding, you can feel all of the big chunky plastic/metal insides when you stroke it, for me that’s a big drawback as a cat is soft. For the money I think it should.
Good looking and good company
We love this cat, can’t have one live too near the road. Visitors think she’s real
Lovely for mum
My mum lost her dog a few months ago and at 93 she doesn’t want to get another one but missed talking to her past loving friend.so saw this dog in the paper that in Wales are given theses to older people that live on there own or loss dogs so got in contact with them unfortunately they are only given out in Wales but they did put me on to the link in Amazon which I bought ,mum is over the moon with it she talks to it and sat new year’s eve with it on her knee ( which I must say brought a tear to my eyes ) so loves him even given him a name it’s just so each day she has something to talk to ,as living on her own she loves it .it barks wags its tail and moves it head .
Only thing is it body is hard but make one like this but soft to the touch would be brillia
My daughter lives he
I wish these were cheaper i work in a hospital and would love to get some but on 10 and hour would take me for eve
Does what it says
I bought this for my mum who has dementia she absolutely loves her she’s called her poppy
Made my husband happy
The dog was brilliant for my husband who has dementia. He spoke to me and laughed more than usual
Very good quality item
Lovely interactive ‘puppy’ for adults with learning disabilities or dementia. Responds well to voice and touch.
Realistic.
The product was bought for someone suffering with alzheimers, it is now their permanent companion, it is a great comforter.
Brillia
Bought this for my nana who has dementia , her face lights up when she sits patting it , it makes her happy but also calms her when she’s feeling anxious
Cuddly, cute companion.
My son is in late stage Huntington’s Disease and can no longer walk or talk. We always had labs and got him this for Christmas. Wasn’t sure if he’d take to it, but he really has. His name is Bovver, and he is always there for my son.
The company were fantastic too and gave us support when we needed it.
A great support for those with difficulties. Highly recommend them.
Bought for an Autistic Son aged 50 with anxiety issues.
The I interactive Robotic Dog, was purchased for my 50 year old Autistic Son, who has anxiety and anger issues for which he is having counselling.
The dog has calmed him considerably, he is a different person.bought in July 2021. The voice recently stopped working, I reported it to Amazon, a replacement was sent out and arrived the following day.
The Amazon return procedure was easy. Batteries last about a month left on 24/7.
It is certainly value for money.
It makes Mum happy so well worth the money
I was really unsure about getting this for my Mum due to the price. She doesn’t have dementia but is lonely in her care home at times.
She loves it and although fully understands it’s not real loves the fact it moves, miaows and purrs (quite adorably actually).
It seems to give her a great deal of comfort and she thinks it’s very clever.
The body feels quite solid but quite similar to a real cat.
Very good idea and I’m so glad I risked it.
Good quality
I bought this for my 95 year old dad. He loves it, it purrs, mewos and moves it paw up and down.
Amazing purchase for a dementia suffere
My dad is late stage dementia and since having this amazing dog my dad has calmed and sits and it so gentle with him he calls him his mate. I would recommend this dog it is worth every penny
Excellent products
Actually have the dog but has made such an impact on mams world. Mam has dementia and this little dog is her sole mate.
Great product batteries last well
Amazing !
Bought this for my 91 year old dad who moved into a care home earlier this year. The thing he’s missed more than anything was his dog. Even when I took her to visit him he would get upset when we left. Must admit I was abit sceptical how dad, who has dementia would respond to the ‘fake’ dog but he absolutely LOVES it ! He was talking to it, stroking it and was so happy when I said she could stay with him. This has really made a difference to him and his well-being and I can’t thank you enough for making such a wonderful product !
Exceeded expectations
Brought this to help keep very elderly mother in law calm, she now won’t go anywhere without it, the original batteries are still working well after nearly 5 weeks constant use, it keeps her company all day and helps her to settle into sleep at night, her insomnia has almost completely disappeared and at 97 with chronic short term memory loss and terminal cancer, talking to the dog and stroking it has also alleviated a great deal of her pain and improved her appetite, I would recommend this dog for all elderly and lonely people, it really does help in every way possible
Just what I was looking for.
Mum has dementia and loves this little cat brings her comfort .
Comforting
Item as described arrived ahead of time, is proving a real comfort to a new alzheimers patient.
90 Year Old Mum Loves It.
Mum broke her hip and had to go into a Nursing Home leaving her real cat behind (don’t panic I’m looking after it!). She was devastated and couldn’t stop talking about going home to her cat although she cannot walk.
As soon as I gave her this she was captivated, immediately christening it with the same name as her real cat. She chats away to it and is thrilled that it ‘talks’ back to her. So far it’s been a brilliant purchase but I’m not looking forward to having to ‘take it to the vet’ when the batteries run out!
Almost Real!
The first one arrived promptly but was faulty and the second arrived two days after I began the return process! The second was perfect and uncannily life-like. There is a mechanical whirring but it’s not annoying and is soon overlooked, we found. My Mother has dementia so as soon as I can see her again, I’ll give this to her and I have high hopes that she’s going to love it. Thankfully, the box makes no mention of dementia or of living in a care home, so her feelings won’t be hurt. The loud purr can be felt and the eyes look real plus the cat chirrups and meows after a time of being untouched, so that will remind Mum of its presence, I think. The only improvement I would suggest is that they work on the mechanism being quieter but maybe they’re already working on that? Excellent service, though.
Grea
My 86 year old mum loves it. Good company, great alternative to the real thing.
Companion ca
This cat was bought for my friend who has vascular dementia. She fell in love with it immediately, discarding the teddy she has been carrying around for the last year.
Staff at her home say that this is now her constant companion and provides an encouraging response to her petting and talking to it.
This shows no signs of needing new batteries after a week of constant use.
very appealing and soothing
Bought for a non-verbal teenager with SEND, including sensory needs. He loved it instantly and has enjoyed combing and cuddling the cat. The purring vibrations are soothing, especially when he puts his feet on the cat!
Perfect companion 🙌🙌
This was gifted to a family friend who has recently lost her dog. She lives alone & has memory issues & her new friend Buddy has made the perfect companion. She adores him
Cat for people with dementia
Bought this this for my mother as she used to have a cat and she lives it.
Keep stroking it to keep it going
I bought it for my Mum who’s got dementia. But I liked it so much I might even buy one for myself.
amazing my sister lovesick
excellent product my sister in nursing home misses cat this is the answer not sure how long batteries last as recently got well worth i
Great produc
Used for a person suffering from Lewy bodies dementia. Loved and adored a new best friend. Comforting and relaxing.
A very lifelike ‘companion’ for anyone wanting a pet without all the hassle and cost of owning a real one. This puss does a lot of things that real cats do such as: washing his paw, rolling over for tummy rubs, turning his head and twitching his ears, as well as blinking his lifelike eyes at you. He sighs as he’s falling asleep and upon waking up again. He has several different meows which are all very endearing, including the most realistic purr which vibrates through his fur like a real feline; all in response to petting or movement and changes of light. RoboCat will even call you vocally with a series of trills and meows in the middle of the night, if you leave him switched on! He seems to be on some kind of long timer. However, there is a Mute or Off switch if desired.
The slight whirring of the servos is minimal and doesn’t detract from the realism that a toy of this sophistication brings. I find him quite comical actually, he really is a very entertaining pet.
The body is unique in that you can feel an inner ‘skeleton’ similar to a real cat, underneath all that fur, which extends throughout the entire body, the limbs and down to the paws. The weight is similar to a real cat and it’s soft in all the right places; it certainly doesn’t feel like a ‘brick’ as one reviewer described it. Even the tail, which someone said is merely two strips of fabric sewn together, isn’t as bad as that. Yes, it’s not stuffed but any filler would make it too stiff and the fur and fabric used give it enough substance to feel like a proper cat’s tail. It’s also designed to drape nicely and tapers at the end so it hangs convincingly.
The fur is quality and dyed to mimic a real cat’s markings and it’s very fine textured and soft feeling with a nice length. I would advise brushing it often, with the specific brush provided, to preserve the fine appearance; don’t use a normal hair brush which tends to pull out the fluff. Someone thought the fur so realistic they were worried it might be real but the label clearly says it’s polyester. The battery housing is well hidden beneath the label on its underside and secured with velcro and it’s not difficult to open.
I’m impressed with this robotic cat and think the Company have excelled themselves in providing a realistic, highly interactive toy at an affordable price. I will end by sharing some of the attention to detail I particularly like, one of which is his little mouth – a true red colour which includes a pink tongue and two little white pointy teeth! The eyes have proper eyelids and are a nice cat-like shape and emerald green. The little pads on its paws, though made from hard plastic (the only downside as they could have made them from a softer material such as rubber or leather) however, are proper pad-like and the correct pinky colour. It’s two floppy back legs are jointed and can be moved back and forth, as can its front paws. The ears are the right shape and realistic looking even on the inside, the whiskers are long and real feeling and the cat doesn’t need to be constantly petted to emit movement and sound on its own. It’s the proper size, weight and feel of an adult cat.
In my opinion there is much attention to detail that as a real cat owner in the past, I can vouch for how funny, endearing and lifelike “Joy For All” cat really is. Ideal for everyone, not just seniors.
*Some tips for longevity:*
1)I found that when the cat rolls back for a tummy rub, he needs to be on a flat, even surface like a chair, table, or your lap, where he won’t fall off – any RESTRICTION of its movements will cause the motors to whirr noisily and eventually wear out.
2)Branded batteries such as Duracell seem to last a lot longer than the cheaper ones.
3)I don’t really recommend these pets for young children because they are quite delicate, have a lot of moving electrical parts and sensors and won’t stand up to being pulled about. They are designed to be a sophisticated adult ‘companion toy’ or a fun pet for older children.
I bought this as company for myself whilst working long days from home, and because I didn’t want a real cat with all the hassle and cost.
Bought for my dad with dementia
I have purchased this for my dad for Christmas. I have had it out of the box to check that it works. It is lovely, I hope that my dad will enjoy it. I will add a better review after Christmas.
Perfec
This is the perfect companion for my 94year old mother who misses her little dog keeps her entertained.
Good
Good, my mother who has Dementia likes it- we tend to turn it on only occasionally as the meowing annoys my dad.
I bought this for the residents in the care home I manage, we have made many purchases of different things to give the residents things to do, occupy and stimulate them, this is the best money spent EVER. They really do love it ‘Mavis’ is always with someone. We also purchased Charlie the dog and they are wonderful. We have had to introduce a ‘No pets policy’ in the dining room as many residents felt the animals should be allowed on the tables at mealtimes!! Believe me Charlie and Mavis covered in gravy wasn’t good!! Would I recommend for someone with dementia or an elderly person in general who feels lonely, absolutely 100%
Value for money
The cat was a hit in our house. Its a great idea and value for money. Not as difficult as a real cat but it’s a good imitation.
orange tabby cat for people with dementia
This was bought for my mum who is in a care home with dementia. It’s a really good product, although not cheap and battery life could be better. But she loves is and everyone that has seen it says it is great. Can recommend this.
A HELP TO THOSE WITH DEMENTIA
I purchased the dog for a friend who has severe dementia and who lives on her own. When the carer is not there she just looked at the wall but now she pets and talks to the dog all the time and it has greatly improved her quality of life. She even takes it to bed with her!
Lovely Substitute.
Bought the Golden pup for my Partner who is dog crazy , lost her two Lhasa Apso’s to old age last year, misses them terribly, but feels she cannot go through the heartache and expense of having another, this Pup has helped fill the gap and entertained her with its real life actions.
Although a little expensive I feel it is worthwhile when I see the joy on my Partner face.
Comforts
I bought this for my Mum who is in a care home and it gives her comfort. I know it’s not real, but having even a purring fake cat on your knee is rather nice.
Looks very lifelike and it purrs
I bought this for my brother who is has Alzheimer’s disease and is in a nursing home.
This was given him two weeks ago and he seems to like it.

I like everything about this cat. She’s so lifelike and just sits on the sofa on a blanket (well, a towel really), because she does lose some fur at times.
My little 2 year old Great Grandson also adores her and loves brushing her sooo gently. He will give her a kiss, every time she sighs!!! I honestly look on her as a companion. I’m a 85 year old Widow and has had cats in the past, but the block of flats I live in forbid pets ‘in case we trip on them’
I know if 4 residential blocks of flats for people like me, who reside in these Independent Living flats, that we buy, and also a Care Home next to me that also have one of these pets. I don’t mind people thinking I’m losing my marbles, because I talk to SOX. At least she does reply most times.
My mother was delighted by her robo dog – it may be the best thing I’ve ever bought her. She’s perfectly sound of mind, but talks to the dog and pets him. It’s provided great entertainment to friends and visitors. Worth every penny. The dog responds to being touched or spoken to, and it’s lovely for an elderly person to be greeted when they come down in the morning. Be aware though that it’s very much a toy, and claims of being lifelike are a little overstated. Excellent battery life.
Thoroughly recommend
I bought this for my 81 year old mother, who has moderate to advanced semantic / vascular dementia, for Christmas. She had been very restless wouldn’t stay in the house and was often unhappy. She always perked up when she saw a dog and I was very tempted to get a real one but was worried she would over feed it. From the moment she saw this little dog she loved him. We were amazed that we were able to be in the house all Christmas Day lunchtime and afternoon whilst she sat and nursed and talked to him. She did keep trying to feed him though – at one point he had 16 peanuts in his mouth! However that was easy enough to manage as the back of the moth is closed so the food cant get into the mechanism.
From that day he goes everywhere with her and she spends hours ‘talking’ to him – he has brought great joy.
I was a bit disappointed when I saw him and nearly sent him back but I’m so glad I didn’t. She has managed to break some of mouth functions but he still moves his head and barks. I would thoroughly recommend and will definitely buy another if this one stops working. The batteries last 3 – 5 weeks.
The only thing that seems to bother my Mum about him is his hard tongue – if there is one adjustment to be made it would be to make the mouth more realistic – the tail wagging is the best!
Ideal for people with dementia
Can’t say what battery life is like as it was a present for a person who has dementia. I can say that she loved the dog. It was a present for my mother in law who is 89.
Great for dementia patients
My mother has dementia, she loves this dog. It reacts to her voice, just enough to be realistic. Goes into sleep mode when she stops talking to it. A screw driver is needed to replace the batteries. It’s hard to say if it easy on batteries, as my mother has the dog with her all the time. I replace the batteries as soon as they show any signs of slowing down. They last at least two weeks of continuous use. It’s difficult to wash the dog . It gets dirty, as she always has it with her and attempts to feed it. I bought two , so I could switch them out to facilitate keeping them clean. I’d recommend this 100% I also bought the cat. My mother loved that too. Was even more realistic, as cats lay around not doing much. Although I found it looked a bit creepy. Again very difficult to keep clean.
Fantastic
Our son who has Asperger loved this reactive toy, it is soft and cute, just like a puppy. It is now his go to “toy” for comfort .
He likes the fact that you can mute it and just get the reactions, we bought spare batteries, not realising that it came with batteries and was ready to go, however by having the spare set the puppy will keep on going.
Well worth it just to see his face light up.
The person gifted the robotic dog is 94 years old and suffers from dementia. She knows that the dog is not real but it gives her real comfort and companionship. The dog is animated and makes realistic sounds and movements and is providing a lot of pleasure.
My 97 year old mum loves this
My 97 year old mum with worsening dementia just loves this. It’s a replacement for our golden retriever in our absence.I’m told by the care home she takes it everywhere with he
Cute
Very interactive, my mum with dementia enjoys it. Vibrates when purrs which she likes as she is hard of hearing.
Smiles in a dementia ridden life - so great.
It’s not a cheap “toy” but is just fantastic for our dementia suffering relative. She loved her pets and this one give some of that joy without the challenges of looking after the real thing. Very realistic appearance.
Ideal for Dementia parents
Mum loved hers and sits on an evening and it calms her when she’s getting anxious
Great idea for Someone on their Ow
It was a gift for elderly neighbour who is on their own, during the many months of self isolation we have had to endure, this has been a great comfo
We saw this cat advertised on Breakfast TV and instantly thought it’d be a great birthday present for our 93year old Mum.
Even though we thought this cat would be good for Mum, we were also prepared for it to be rejected.
What we weren’t expecting was the delight and instant connection she made with her new companion.
Her joy and the smile on her face told us we had just given her the best present she could have had on her 93rd birthday.
Its been 3 weeks now and the cat is still getting more attention than anyone. Mum loves it and is very protective over it.
I highly recommend this product, it was money well spent.
I do agree with other customer comments that the mechanical noise when the cat moves might put some people off.
BUT…. I am so pleased I made this purchase. If I had listened to the negative comments my Mum would never have met her “Purrfect” companion 🙂

Ideal for our autistic daughter. It’s her calming cat. She strokes it, interacting with it when the world gets too much for her. Really helping her anger management at key flash-points throughout the day.
Brilliant idea
My mum loved it she has dementia and it was marvellous for he
Realistic
Bought to keep as company for Alzheimer’s. lifelike motion and sounds. Very satisfied
If it’s worth the money
Bought this for mum who has Alzheimer’s and now in a care home but has always had cats. I was a bit dubious buying it but it’s the best thing that she’s had , takes it every where with her and all the residents comment on it so much so the home are going to do some fundraising to try to buy another one and hopefully a ca
Made us smile
More substantial than we expected and a bit heavier, not a substitute for real thing but still a lot of fun and brings a smile to your face!
Purrfect Happiness
The movement and sounds are lovely. This cat was bought as a companion for a lady with learning difficulties that lives where they are not allowed animals. She is completely besotted.
Lovable
My wife is not so old, but house-bound and sheltering at the moment. She just loves it! I rather like it too… surprisingly appealing, it grows on you, and is not unreasonably priced.
The joy it has give
Great help for my dementia suffering mum,got her talking to us about her pet and what it had been doing
