This is a great food processor. Had initially ordered a Topchef as was trying to save money but that was returned due to poor quality.

Although the Kenwood cost double the price of the Topchef, you definitely get what you pay for. With a 1000w motor and 8 speed setting plus Pulse, its very versatile, making it a breeze to make mince meet, chop veg, grate cheese etc. Solid build with metal base, thick plastic bowl and a solid thick walled glass blender jug. Also has a built in weighing scale which is handy. Also comes with a 5 year warranty which is great. Seems to overheat a bit as you can smell it after a while but I suppose that’s to be expected given the high powered motor.

Although some people are saying it doesn’t come with all accessories, it is available in different bundles reflected by the model number and the video just shows all possible accessories that it can potentially available for the food processor.
The FDM790BA, which is the one I opted for, as standard includes main bowl and blade, mini bowl and blade, dough tool, 2 slicing/grating discs, glass blender, dual whisk, weighing dish, and max capacity disk. Additional accessories such as, mill, juicer etc, if needed are available from the 4kenwood website.
It is the buyers responsibility to select the correct bundle based on their requirements and the listing will then show the specifics of what’s included. Do not just assume It comes with everything in the video as it doesn’t. I ordered the bundle that met my needs as I didn’t need every accessory.

Overall, this is a great food processor from a long established reputable brand with great build quality and performance and several accessories available as per user requirements.
Still the best, tried vin haus but returned it as it was not good.
This is the second one I’ve purchased…. one as a gift… great machine
I like the way it’s easy to clean and that the cord can be stored in the base but it’s quite difficult to get it in unless you’re determined. Food doesn’t get trapped in the space between the disc and the top which is good. I think it’s quite noisy but it’s a powerful motor so that’s not too much of an issue.
I make a lot of soup so I was hoping the blender would help. Positives are it’s a decent size and well made. Negatives are because it’s thick glass it’s quite heavy. Also, as previous reviewers have said unless you get up close and very personal it’s very hard to get the blender off the base unit unless you hug it close to you. I also managed to unscrew the top from the base which luckily didn’t matter as the soup I was blending was cool.
All in all though, I really like my new processor and would probably buy the same again.
Really love this unit and use it all of the time for everything, only negative point is that the mixer assembly is a bit weak but that is only a small whinge
I could have doe with more comprehensive instructions with more guidance on which tools to use for a wide variety of tasks
Also a list of books and pamphlets linking with this food processor would have been useful
It does what it says it does, just the job
I’ve had my old Kenwood for 25 years, so I had high expectations for its new replacement, and I haven’t been disappointed. This machine is solidly built and easy to use, with reassuring safety safeguards. A useful feature is the inbuilt scale so you can weigh ingredients directly into the processor. All in all, highly recommended.

Beautifully designed, pretty easy to use in spite of gadgetry as well as easy to clean.
Great processor, the only thing that let’s it down is the vague instructions for using/assembly the attachments for use with it. I’m quite a practical hands on guy but others will struggle to work out assembling some of the them to the product, had to show my daughter &mrs the mini bowl/ sliceing discs assembly,better diagrammed instructions needed but otherwise very pleased with purchase.
Got it for my mum, love it so far. Different speed and wasn’t noisy at all, plus it was super easy to clean compared to others with the pole attached to the base.
The item was so good, although it a bit expensive but its the quality of it, is important to me..and the packaging was good as well..
Bought this for my wife as a present to replace a similar Kenwood product she had had for 10 years or more. It was very thoughtfully packed and she was delighted with the extent and variation of tools that came with it. Trying it out was a bit of a learning curve, quickly mastered and she is VERY pleased with it and would recommend it to any one.

I bought it to replace a previous kenwood. its great but the glass jug when you try to take off from base comes away from the blades which are left inside base. The soup escapes

What made me
Chose this particular one was the glass blender thermo resistant.
All other options are great, easy to install, solid, working fine.
Not huge difference between the speeds, would have liked a real slow one, but still it is fine.
Minus the smaller bowl, that is not easy to assemble and close.
A shame because it does seem to be a really robust piece of kit. Will let you know what happened.
Phoned customer service very helpful, said that a replacement part will be posted to us. Will have to see how long this one lasts, now we are aware of the possible problem.
There is lots of it because it does just about everything you might want to accomplish in a kitchen. Finding space is a bit of a challenge but it will do any job and it looks good.
Twin bowls gives you a choice but this is of limited use for me. I had the old model which gave up the ghost and suited me well. Now part of the De Longhi group – I have tried to register the purchase but the part of their website that deals with registrations is being ‘upggraded’ and I don’t think that this should take many weeks, should it?
Love this. It’s a beast! Very powerful and robust. Blender does soup for six no trouble.
It’s great but even the thickest slicer is thinner than I’d like. Nevertheless, it is much quicker and safer than a knife (or am I just clumsy) and fairy easy to wash too.
Very good for cakes and for Indian food grinding (lentils)
It has that kinda modern, thin, brittle-looking plastic (it replaced a Kenwood which was 34 years old and didn’t) but it seems strong enough and is dishwasher-proof (it says here). Certainly very effective at chopping, grating, mixing; plenty of power. Overall, very pleased. Built-in weighing scales may be a bit of a gimmick but seem accurate enough.

We have had this processor for a couple of years now and been very pleased with it, so we bought one for Churchfield House, which was bequeathed to the town back in 1936 by a wealthy merchant and is run by volunteers on behalf of the people of the town, with food served three days a week, plus functions such as weddings, birthdays, funerals etc. The kenwood replaces a flimsy product that didn’t last five minutes.
Just getting used to all the attachments.
Sadly it hasn’t as many attachments as my old one had and the old ones don’t fit the new one.
A great product and a great price. Loads of different blades etc to make this the perfect kitchen gadget. Especially like the two sizes of jug.

Upon first use it worked great with chopping spinach and various other vegetables, when using the soup maker function the main base start to release smoke and something inside of it started to melt. Amazon arranged a replacement item promptly which I cannot fault.
I believe that the first one I have must have been a faulty one.
It’s great for making breads, pastries and if you purchase the additional folding tool you can make excellent mousse. I’ve also purchased the julienne(french fry) disc online and the disc holder.
This has to be one of the best food processors around and I personally much prefer it to the thermoix and kitchenaid.
Build quality is first class but , I am not sure if the motor is strong enough, made some bread dough and the machine was bouncing all over the place, plus the motor was starting to struggle, might just stick to simple tasks, over all though very happy

Only one design fault: the feeding tube is not wide enough. Just the regular size, but for a high-end product , I was expecting a large opening to accommodate medium potatoes. The “midi”bowl is a bit of a joke. A grind mill would be more useful in my view. The scales are really convenient and precise.

The base unit seems strong and is fairly weighty and it comes with all the attachments you’ll need.
The integrated weighing scales really add something to this food processor allowing you to measure out the exact quantities you need. Also, the attachments seem very robust and are of better quality than other machines we’ve had.
Although this food processor is quite expensive compared to other units, I would recommend it to people looking for something with a bit more quality.
