My 6 year old son loves this set! He really likes the little seat, which even though small, it still works for him. He loves that he has his own set up just like Dad and his big brother. We’ll see how long it lasts, but it’s good it has its own protective case. He’s learning and this is a good first set for him to get comfortable. I’d recommend this for any little fisher.
Got this for my son whom just started fishing. He did not want a little pole, he wanted to go straight to the big kids fishing pole. This set was a winner for us, he loves it and everything it came with. We really likes the fact it comes with a carrying case for all of his gear, this makes it easy to keep everything together.
This comes with a stool that is really sturdy and the fishing rod and reel are GREAT. When we went to buy him everything before seeing this package it was going to total over $75, this is a really good deal for everything you get.

Comes with pretty much everything you need to go fishing- just add some worms and you’re good to go.
Nice and compact, so it’s easy to store. We keep it in the RV so we’re always ready to go fishing should the opportunity present itself.
I ordered this kit in the smaller size to get my preschooler started fishing. I like that everything you need is included at a very reasonable price. The quality seems to be higher than the character branded sets. One of my favorite features is that everything packs up easily in the included carrying bag.

This is a great beginner’s fishing set for your son or daughter. It comes with some tackle, a real, the pole. Of course, a chair, and a net. All in a sturdy water resistant bag. Looking forward to talking my son to the pond.

This kids fishing pole set is a big hit in our home. He has, even, caught 2 fish with Dad. It has so many parts to it, for fishing, plus a tiny pop up seat for our Kiddo to sit on. I don’t know about other kids but ours loved it…even the carrying case. Great product from Amazon.
This is a really nice set the rod is made well. My only complaint is the little stool. It is so small that even my 7-year-old cannot use it.
The Gonex/Magreel Portable Telescopic Fishing Rod and Reel is definitely full of surprises. The first was the size… I’d clearly selected the 59″ model, yet the shipping box was ridiculously small. Was I sent the wrong item? In a word, no. Instead, the rod is telescoping to an extreme level. Everything that’s pictured in the vendor’s images is there. The soft-sided carrying case is decent, too, with only the chair being pretty much unusable (IMO). For $37, this is a surprisingly good value for occasional use. Recommended
I was very excited to get this for our kids (4 and 2). We previously started our 4-year-old on a smaller rod that just didn’t fit her as she is very tall for her age. This kit comes with everything a child could need to get started. The portable bag holds a portable fishing stool, a telescoping rod, a reel, a double-sized tackle case, and a small fish net (bait scoop). The best value comes from the tackle included. It gives you a variety of accessories that your child will be able to use and practice different techniques. One very forward-thinking inclusion is the copper weights instead of the outdated lead weights. It’s a small consideration for the habitat and the wildlife we affect when we fish.

This is PERFECT for a beginner AND a seasoned pro. This made our day way easier with easy to read/understand instructions and an awesome carry case. My 7 year old grandson was excited to receive this all in one fishing starter set. He was especially interested in the little seat which I thought was both sill and charming for how small it is – but he loved it! The fishing rod nicely telescoped in an out smoothly and I appreciated that a protective plastic cover was included to keep it neatly in place when packed away. To me, it seems like each little extra he could possibly need was included and it made an impressive gift.

This is a great kit to teach kids how to fish (or for any smaller fisherperson). It has everything you need to get started. The stool is a nice touch. The reel and pole are a lot better than I expected. I really recommend this. Great way to get outside and take a tech break.
