The Knipex 12 12 06 wire strippers have been specially developed for very tough and hard insulation materials which need to almost be cut through entirely so that they can be pulled off. Two pairs of blades cut into the entire circumference of the cable insulation. The blades have been shaped and ground so that the cut gets very close to the conductor. After scoring, one of the pairs of blades remains still and secures the insulation that has been cut into. The other pair of blades strips the insulation to be removed from the cable.

‘Insulation made of materials such as PTFE, silicone, Radox, Kapton and rubber must withstand a great deal, including being heat-resistant and tough. Separating such insulation from single conductors during wire stripping is equally demanding. The work saved by these wire strippers is immense. After inserting the cable, the entire wire stripping process takes place as if by itself with one press of the hand. Molte volte mi ritrovo a gestire cavi con isolante molto duro, come ad esempio il teflon e similari ,praticamente impossibile fare una spelatura con le tradizionali pinze, se non si vogliono distruggerle dopo poco ,per questo motivo ho scelto questa pinza che offre un taglio preciso e netto praticamente perfetto . Risulta ottima con tutti i tipi di cavi indipendentemente dal tipo di isolante ,ovviamente non pratica come quelle ad inserimento frontale che incidono l’isolante soltanto sulla parte superiore ed inferiore ,per cui quest’ultimo viene praticamente strappato e non tagliato con la conseguenza di trovarsi una spelatura non proprio ideale.
Cette pince KNIPEX 12 12 03 remplit parfaitement son rle pour les sections de fil ncessaires la maison 1.5 et 2.5 mm2.
These are probably the nicest wire strippers I’ve ever owned. Excellent action, and so far faultless stripping on pvc, silicon and trs. I could imagine the depth stop breaking if you chuck them about but that’s barely an issue. They are definitely right handed, using them in your left hand will reduce accuracy.
