Having looked at various models I decided to go for a Karcher. To date it’s proved an effective way of dealing with condensation on our single glazed windows. The small tool is particularly useful for our small window panes. Battery life has been adequate so far to deal with
Our first Window Vac, bought to clear windows in the winter and vac down the shower after use to prevent mould. Not super high suction (like a normal vacuum) but works really well with one pass. Haven’t needed to use the small blade as the standard large one works for all of our needs. Easy to drain and battery lasts well – charge once a week and use daily in shower and 4x large windows. Only gripe is that it has a bespoke shaped charger and to reduce the need for further electrical waste, could be easily improved with a standard charger e.g. USB C
Does such a good job at cleaning windows and is really quick. I recommend them to all my family and friends.
This vacuum means that our large shower can be dried in just a minute or two.
It sucks moisture effectively and you can appreciate your progress by seeng the rapidly expanding areas of dry tiles and glass.

A good investment to clean windows and clear internal window condensation which naturally occurs at certain times of the year.
Makes cleaning windows so much quicker! I bought this mainly for removing condensation as my house is 300+ years old and I can’t replace the windows. It’s great for that, but I didn’t realise how good it would be at cleaning the windows too – so fast and no need for cloths or buckets. I’d argue that it’s not ‘streak free’ as your windows would have to be spotless for that – any speck of dirt on the window will be dragged by the vacuum and cause a streak, but overall it’s excellent.
Simple to use and reasonably light, what an amazing product! Cleaning windows is so simple and quick. My windows are literally gleaming! Being middle aged and having muscular issues with my arms window cleaning was difficult and painful, thank you Karcher for a truley amazing product! Cannot recommend highly enough. Every home should have one!
Lightweight. Good charge length. Good suction. I use it for the condensation on my windows. Does a great job. I don’t need to charge it daily. And it’s lightweight.
The key to using it is proper angle, steady speed and using a small cloth. If you wipe the rubber squeegee part of the head after each pass with a cloth, it will remove any residual moisture on it and stop any streaks on the window on the next pass, just as it would with using a standard squeegee.
It is also excellent at quickly removing water from the glass in the shower, great for slowing limescale build-up.
Battery life has been very good so far too.
Note: The information needed to register the warranty online (product number and serial number) are located under the water tank, which snaps in place into the body. You cannot remove the tank with the suction head is in place, however. This is not shown at all in the instructions.
Works in all directions/planes, including upside-down. Quick and easy empty just by pulling the bung out. I’ve tried the Bosch, Villeda and newer versions of Karcher and found this (and the WV2) to be more capable and robust. I’ve had a WV5 for many years and bought this as a backup.
Takes all the hard work out of cleaning windows, just the job
Was impressed by how quickly I was able to clean all our windows (I’d only intended to clean a couple but it was quick enough to be fun) and how well it cleaned them!
Great little bit of kit saves me loads of time
Ideal for cleaning flat surfaces and windows BUT please be careful if on a ladder or steps to reach above floor level. Have an assistant if you do this.

This is a fantastic little window cleaning machine.
I purchased this after seeing it in use within the Museum that I run. Our team of cleaners had bought it in to clean up our very very dirty glass cabinets. And after witnessing the power of what this can do, I went straight online to order one for myself.
I couldn’t be happier with this! It makes cleaning windows totally effortless. The results are better than I could ever achieve before using this! If you don’t have one already, why not!? I can’t ever imagine switching back to the old way now!

Does a good job on house,and car windows also if it packs up just change battery
I bought this as a replacement for my previous Karcher window vac (10th anniversary addition) as it burnt out after a few years due to water ingress with the motor. So far, using this model for a few weeks I’m really happy with it. I use this to dry my wet room after use and I’ve noticed this model seems to stuck the water much better. It does leave a few streaks but nothing I’m concerned with. Would recommend
Love this product and just wish I’d bought one years ago! I have a lot of windows and glass doors so this window vac has made the job of washing glass so much quicker and easier. Would definitely recommend it.

Love my Karcher. Would not be without it. Read reviews before purchasing, some about battery life etc but it did my whole house and my daughters without needing recharge.
Love this window cleaner. I had one which lasted 15plus years until I lost the charger and could not get a replacement, despite buying so called replacements. I then bout a smaller one WV2 but it was not as good as my older one so we have now replaced it with this one and I am delighted with it .

Efficient window cleaner, easy to use and a lot quicker than washing and drying with cloth and chamois/ duster. Also good to dry shower cubicle and mopping liquid spilt on a hard surface
Arrived on time and intact. Very happy with item. Easy to assemble and use. Does a good job on the glass and a very large mirror. I have large windows all along bedroom and lounge areas which were previously very difficult to clean without streaking. I use regular fairy liquid diluted and it works well. Would recommend this window vac.
WOW!! I’ve never written a review before but I feel as though this product needs one. If I could give more than 5* then I would! Does exactly what it says on the box and very quick and easy to clean your windows/Mirrors etc.. The KARCHER WV5 is very lightweight and comes with two different size heads so you can change over quickly and very easily to do your smaller windows. I definitely recommend this product and I’m very happy I went ahead with my purchase! Thank you
Makes cleaning windows inside a doddle! Very easy to use and good results.
Works well and makes cleaning large windows easy. Battery seems to last a very long time before charging required. For windows that haven’t been cleaned for a while, a certain amount of ‘elbow grease’ is needed with the sprayer-cleaning-pad to shift marks.
My wife swears by this and cannot believe how effective it is.
Brought this for the bathroom as we get lots of moisture build up from showering. What a great piece of kit, so easy to use, lightweight and really gets rid of all the water from the shower screen and walls.
We use this daily and very happy with battery life, only need to charge it up every couple of weeks
Disappointed that couldn’t get a replacement for the model I had. But very pleased with the replacement model. It’s great for any surface, I don’t mind cleaning the windows now.
Great product, doesnt work too well on hot sunny days and difficult to get bottom of window but well worth it, would definately reccomend
Life changing in our house that has 80% of the back of it glass. We also have internal glass doors and twin girl toddlers with sticky hands. It also works a tray on the backsplashes and marble counter tops in the kitchen… Really if you have any smooth surfaces this is a must to bring back the shine with ease.

Why oh why didn’t I get one of these sooner? Brilliant little machine takes all the effort out of cleaning windows.
Only used it once but it seems well made. Results not entirely streak free, but beats all that rubbing and polishing with paper towels which didn’t clean nearly as well as this machine.

Excellent machine for the job it,s only fault is not got a lithium battery so not used battery discharges quickly
I love this product. It functions brilliantly. Just remember to regularly clean the rubber blades. Small hairs or fluff on the rubber can result in streaky windows. My only fault with this product is that it came with a crack on the inside of the head piece that was not mentioned in the Amazon warehouse faults. Also a small cosmetic scratch were quite a lot of scratches. I didn’t want to return it as the price was too good and if the head totally snaps I can get a new one off eBay pretty cheap.
Oh, wow! What a difference! Eighteen double-glazing units pristine and clear in about ten minutes. And I can see where I’m driving at night when something comes the other way now, too. And my mirrors are clear as a bell. And… And… And…
More applications than the obvious – just don’t suck up anything sticky and wipe the blade with a clean towel periodically, and wash under clean water when finished, to avoid streaks and smears. I also use filtered water, not straight tap water (it’s a bit rich in minerals around here), in the trigger bottle with the cleaning concentrate.
Very pleased with it. Definitely think I will get my money’s worth from it.
I also bought a five-pack of cleaning pads and a bottle of concentrate – definitely a good idea. The machine comes with one sachet of concentrate sufficient for one fill of the trigger bottle.
I was hesitant about buying this as I had heard mixed reviews but I am glad I did as I find it very useful around the home. This model in particular although slightly more expensive as the choice of two width fitments making it even more versatile in cleaning smaller areas of glass.
Easy to assemble and take apart to empty the water tank and the mops are washable so long lasting.

My first widow vac so no comparison experience, however, it is taking off water/condensation as it should. Battery is lasting long enough, easy to charge.
We had an earlier model which finally failed – motor packed up. This one lasts a lot longer per charge and is useful having the bar display showing amount of charge left, although the bars are very brightly illuminated so not helpful if using it in low light.
Piece of paper with diagrams on it to tell you what each piece is. Not very clear. Was a bit disappointed with it to be fair.
I like the accessories that come with this version.
only thing I would say is (don’t know about future versions) that this version 5 is quite chunky, take a bit of maneuvering to de mist the car windscreen- but no trouble to hold and nice and light.
I have also noticed that the rubber nose does leave a little water on the surface when you lift off- not sure if this is method or design quirk. I believe there is interchangable rubbers so might try changing over and see if it improves. Otherwise very happy! Battery life great for what we need, good to know we can swap it out if we need (major feature of this version).

Overall I am pleased with this product, works well and an effective way to clean windows. It helps to keep your hands dry which is great on a cold winters day! Would have given it 5 stars but it requires a bit of skill to not leave streaks especially around the edges of windows.

Like a lot of folk we get condensation on our bedroom windows in the winter. We have wooden frames and I am concerned the water will get into the wood. A friend recommended a Karcher vac so I thought I would invest in one. So far, I am really pleased, although I have only used it for getting off condensation; I will use it to clean windows too in the fullness of time. It is lightweight, easy to use, with a couple of different heads for different sized windows. It is fun to see it suck up the water (maybe I should get out more!). The water it collects sits in its own little tank and is easy to open and pour into the sink. OK, 74 sounds like a lot of money, but it is a lot cheaper than getting new window frames.

Bought this as recommended to me by my plumber. I use it for my shower cubicle/wall panels, house windows, car windows, conservatory windows and for liquid spills in the kitchen. This is a useful tool, not just one of those use once,stick in cupboard and forgotten gadgets often bought. I actually love this vacuum, so quick and simple to use. One of my best buys of 2020. This kit is well made and highly versatile. Go on, but one, I’m sure you will not look back. Oh, my EX window cleaner Hates them, I wonder why.

We use this vac WV5 for our shower enclosure glass and wall tiles and works well to be honest! Battery power lasts enough to do whole bathroom shower enclosure and one side of wall tiling. Would recommend to anyone especially this version of karcher vac units.
I use this to clean the glass shower cubicle and also ordinary windows. I feel like a 21st century Georgy Formby. Recommended!

Easy to use, BUT read the instructions carefully for best results. Sounds silly but there is definately a technique when holding the cleaner onto windows/screens to get the best results. It’s more about the correct angle rather than anything else so it’s about a bit of practice. It will take 5 mins to master but again, but if patience and do read the instructions.
The machine removes the condensation and other smears off my windows very quickly and efficiently, it also holds its charge very well too (came partly charged). Interchangeable cleaning heads for different size windows is also a clever innovation
I opted to buy the cleaning kit pack which is not only very easy and straight forward to use, it’s now proved to be a very useful addition and well worth getting if you can afford it.
Handy tip – I bought an aftermarket wall bracket/hook set from an on line auction site which is super mega useful for storing the unit.
Whilst it will stand on its own on a shelf or in a cupboard, it’s a quite bulky/odd shape so consider this also.
We have lots of large windows and this makes the job really easy. However not great for edges and hence would not recommend if one wants to use to vacuum condensation. Had to use a paper towel for the edges.

Several people said this was good…it’s great. Revolutionised my condensation problems with Windows and great for other things too…like showers. I change the angle of usage and therefore the vacuum picks up all the water…even the puddle at the bottom of the glass. Great product and seems solidly built so far. Great that it comes with its own charger, too. Totally recommend.
Really glad i bought this in the black friday sale. What used to be task i would put off as it was time consuming is now effortless. I keep it near the bathroom as i use it everyday now to take remove the steam from the mirror and windows. The windows and mirror in the bathroom have never shone so much. The water spray bottle is not necessary but tbh its better than going around the house with a wet cloth dripping or a bowl. Cant see myself ever reverting back to traditional methods.
Having watched a video on condensation and having poorer upvc windows and ventilation, I decided that I needed to follow the advice to reduce the water vapour in the rooms that matter. This was my reason for buying the Window Vac. It works! Less dampness, mould and condensation helps cut down the chances of these things reoccurring leading to a healthier home. Ideally, the windows and ventilation needs to be dealt with too. However, we are not in the place to do this at the moment. In conjunction, with increasing ventilation and cutting out the sources that create moisture this device is a winner and highly recommended!
As we have very large picture windows in our house and we are not getting any younger this window cleaner and vac is a great boon. It does exactly as it says on the tin. The windows are now clean dry and streak free. We wished we had purchased one years ago.

Had one before but this has been updated. Now has an indicator when battery is getting low. Very pleased with purchase. I use it for windows and after use in the shower.
I bought this vac in a black Friday sale at a very good price. I have not had it long so I cannot speak for its longevity. However, it is versatile with the two different widths of head, it does its job, it is quite quiet and I am very satisfied with my purchase.
Great, hopefully video shows it a bit but I can do all the rooms in my house in a flash.
I bought this after the brand was recommended to me by several friends with similar issues. In the colder months, the windows in our flat get absolutely covered with condensation every day. We’ve tried everything including dehumidifiers, keeping windows open, cooking with lids on pans etc but unfortunately it’s still a big battle to fight. Going around with the Karcher every morning and vacuuming off the water from the windows is a huge time saver and makes fighting the condensation and damp/mould issues we have so much easier. The only downside is getting it to the bottom of each window, as we have ledges that make it difficult to hold the Karcher where it needs to be to successfully suck up the water. A microfiber cloth helps with the remnants.

Thought this would make window cleaning much easier however I was left with streaks which I’ve never had before. Sent back and got a full refund so great customer service.
I managed to to the downstairs windows ( more than 10 windos) quickly with very little effort and without recharging the battery

Had a similar one for many years. This one even better as the battery life is much longer between charges. Excellent for cleaning tiles and windows.
