This is worth every penny, our dog never settled in the car and was sick every single jouney no matter how small until we bought this seat. We bought this almost a year ago and it is still in perfect condition! She is secure, happy and settles immediately. She has never been car sick since we bought this. Very easy to install, i move it between the back seat when both adults are in the front and the passenger seat when I’m driving with nobody else in the car, this takes seconds to move. I place a pillow behind it to protect my leather seats just in case but not sure if it’s neccessary. I also made her a cushion for this as the base wasn’t very comfy and she needed a boost so she could see out the window lol. With the cushion I added she is very comfy. It is small however she likes to feel secure, she is able to lay down as she likes to curl up. She is only 4.5kg (small cavapoo) but she is quite long for a small dog and is still comfortable. I wouldn’t buy any other brand now as have so much confidence in this and have recommended to friends.
Makes my little dog safe and able to look out which is what she likes. I had to readjust it after one journey as I had made it too low the weight of her made it go lower. I feel she is very safe, I live in the country and down country lanes when another car comes and I have to pull up sharply she is secure

Kurgo Sky Box purchased because of the safety reviews for a scottie pup. He looks bigger in first photo as he is closer – 2nd photo is more realistic from size point of view. Plenty of growing room. It won’t fit him as an adult, but it’s great for now. It’s placed in the back seat and because the back is shaped the strap going round it slipped – but most of the time I’ll have him up front with me (with passenger airbag switched off) and I will be able to site it a little higher. He is only 12 weeks and pretty tired after a little walk, so he just curled up and slept. The Sky Box looks good as well. I’m going to purchase the Kurgo harness for him as the one I have is great for walks, but useless as a car harness. Again the fact the Kurgo car harness has been crash tested is a definite bonus.
Very easy to install, and just as easy to take out. Adjustable for height etc. I just wish they supplied a belt extension as it does not go around the double front seat in the Transporte
This dog booster seat is extremely well made. I inspected the booster seat, the seams, and the straps closely; all are very strong. All security straps are well thought out. I have only one problem which is the size of the carabiner – it’s huge and heavy. This booster seat is made for smaller dogs. I’m aware that my 2 lb puppy is smaller then the average but the carabiner supplied is far too heavy for even the average small puppy. It would be a good idea for Kurgo to include 2 carabiners, a large and a small one. I’m sure the small one would come in handy for many puppies. I now have to find a small but strong carabiner. One star deducted for the size and weight of the carabiner.
Edit: Additional comment: I would like to add that because this booster seat is made for small dogs, a much smaller and lighter carabiner is needed as mentioned above. The seat only needs a carabiner that is strong enough to withstand an inertia of 100 lbs max (3x the dog’s weight) in case of accident. Plus, after my dog used the booster seat a couple of times and the seat belt tether got all twisted, severely restricting his movement, a 360 degree rotation hook to attach to the dog’s harness is required to prevent the tether strap from getting twisted.

This is perfect for my small (2kg) dog!
He likes to look out the window while driving but is far to small to do it from the seat, and even on my lap it is difficult. This car seat lifts him up so he can get comfy and still enjoy the drives.
It also makes me feel like he is nice and secure, which I love. Plus no roaming around the car while I’m driving which is perfect.
I know he likes it too as we have been on a rental the last week with out the seat for him, and he is not enjoying the car rides as much lol
I purchased two Kurgo booster seats for my Toy Poodle puppies. I had first tried them in a crate and canvas travel kennel in the car, none of which they liked until I purchased the booster seats. The seats made them feel safe. They could be adjusted so they could look out the window or as in the case with one of my puppies, he liked to lie down in it for travelling. The straps were strong and well made, fixing the booster seat securely to the car seat and we’re of a quality that could not be chewed readily. The box seat is made of strong metal, with removable fabric and pad insert for easy washing, but like another customer stated, needed more padding around the top edge as it would be uncomfortable for a small dog leaning over the edge of the seat and feeling the metal frame through the fabric. I just used a thick towel to give the extra padding under my puppies chins and it worked a treat. I recommend this product because it gives my dogs a high level of safety and security while travelling
It is a good size and easy to use. The main issue is my chihuahua twisted about while in it. That would not be an issue but the clip from the seat to the dog is huge. I do not know why? A normal size clip would be fine. The huge clip allowed my dogs leg to go into it. Was not easy to free her and could possibly cause an injury. It is just unnecessary for the clip to be that big. I plan to try taping it up to plug the gap.

Et un vieux linge en lin par dessus pour que le contact sois plus frais pendant les journes chaudes d’t.
Ce panier rehausseur est vraiment parfait et facile installer. On l’a cal de sorte que le haut du panier affleure au niveau du bas de la fentre arrire.
Comme il est pliable on peut l’enlever rapidement et le mettre au coffre, et le remplacer par une laisse qui s’attache la ceinture de scurit, lorsque l’on embarque des passagers.
C’est une structure de tuyaux en mtal qui supporte des parois de tissus avec un fond renforc, ce qui en fait un objet lger, mais assez solide. La housse est lavable, et la poche latrale pratique pour y loger la laisse. De plus, comme il est cal assez haut pour notre petite chienne, il reste de la place sous le panier, sur la banquette, pour y loger ses affaires.
J’adore, et j’en rachterais un sans hsiter si par malheur on avait un accident (il est conu pour plier, il faut le changer aprs tout accident). A noter que la mme marque a conu un harnais spcifique pour diminuer l’impact du harnais sur la cage thoracique du chien en cas d’impact dans une voiture.
My little 10 month old Westie puppy (7.2kg) loves this!! She can see out! She just sits and looks out of the front and side windows. The attachment links through the seat belt in the centre of the bucket. The lead is short but my puppy curls up and lies down without issue if she’s tired. The orange cover lifts out, the base sits in the cover and also comes out. I’ve not had to wash it yet so can’t comment on that. There are pockets in the sides but I haven’t used those so can’t comment on those. The basket has a metal frame which can be felt in the sides and round the top of the “bucket” but can’t say my pup has noticed them and they seem to add to solidity if she leans on the sides or whatever. Quick to install or take out. I really like this seat and it gets the woof of approval from my little Westie too.
He was a little unsure of the basket at first and I was worried the frame would buckle under his struggles but it stead fast and help up. He soon calmed down and lay down in the basket. I think I might need to put a few more blankets in the bottom as he was able to pull up the bottom panel, and had trouble laying his head on the side.
As you can see by the pictures though he was content and as a bonus was still able to look out the window when he wanted to (he loves to watch cars).
It lost a star as I did notice it slipped down a bit under his weight, but still held up above the seat. If I could only mark it down half I would. It was easy to fit and he seemed overall happy with it, so I was to! There was plenty of space for him to sit, lie down and move around, as he won’t get much bigger (being a mini dachshund) he won’t outgrow it.
Pretty happy with the purchase so far!

Really like the fact that this seat secures easily to the car seat and that there is a tether to attach to the dogs’ harness keeping them very safe.
Only real downside is that this is not terribly big, it is for dogs 9-13kg. Our mini shchnauzer is 7.5kg and small for breed and she could probably just about curl up in the seat, but she chose to sit up as in the photo. So, not suitable for standard/large breeds. I think we should have gone for bigger.

This is the second one of these I have purchased great for small dog/puppy I did put a cushion in the bottom as it was a bit deep for us.

Our puppy is small enough at present for the seat to hang in the air so he can see out of the window and be near us whilst being secure and safe. If he gets too heavy it can be put onto the seat later. It’s so easy and quick to put in too. Puppy has started to chew the seat belt strap though which is beginning to fray – we can use the next loop above though if he chews through! Perhaps extra thickness here would be better?
Me and my dog are inlove with this. 100% happy and comfortable in it with a blanket to sit on the lead that I clipped to my dogs harness was perfect. I can chat to him as me drive and he can look out of the window. Super easy and fast to set up. Yaaay.
Absolutely fabulous doggy booster seat, easy to assemble, 2 clicks to secure in car, sturdy “chew-safe” safety strap with large clip to attach to dog’s harness. It is light, folds flat, easy to transfer from one car to the other. My Bichon Fris is happy and loves her seat. She hops into the car, onto the carseat and straight into her booster. She loves looking out of the window and the height adjustment is a great plus for her. Highly recommend after 10 months of use, still in excellent condition!

I brought 2 of these for my 15 month old meduim cockapoos. They are very sturdy and really good quality. These were the biggest ones I could find they would be even better slightly bigger but they are just about big enough for this size dogs.

This has been a brilliant buy. I travel a lot, taking children to and from school. Visiting my family. My puppy went in it from the day we collected him from the breeder. He goes in it every journey. He gets to see outside. I know he is safe. It’s priced well. It’s used everyday. It gives me peace of mind knowing that my puppy is safe.
My Jack Russel fits in perfectly and it’s very comfortable and safe for him. Pleased with the product.
PERFECT!!! I’ve tried countless car carriers for my mini dachshund and this one has finally provided a win. Very sturdy and easy to install. As you can see from the video it holds my 5.9kg little man up high enough for him to see out of the window, which should prevent him jumping up to see out and scratching the door cards going forward.
As you can see it fits a ‘bucket style’ seat with integrated headrests just fine.

If I had a complaint it would be the clasp that secures your dog or the seat belt.. we’ve changes the clasp for a smaller one..

Nice and sturdy when in place. Comes as ready-made unit and is a nice quality. Our puppy much prefers it to bring in an enclosed carrier!
I still don’t know how this happened but one of the straps that go round the back of the car seat had ripped off the seat.

Molly didn’t really like being confined to the basket at first. But when we did test runs around the neighborhood with the window down she enjoyed it much better. She didn’t have to balance on my leg to put her head out and she seemed to look happier in it. After a 7 hour road trip to visit my family there was times where she would get antsy in it but that’s how she is, after a few rubs she curled up and laid down inside the basket. I will say the ONLY thing I didn’t like was the attachment to hook her to inside the basket didn’t really give her room to move around. I had to improvise and use her collar to extend it. But that’s an easy fix but also why I docked one star
The reason I finally got a basket for my 10lb yorkie is:
I used to let my yorkie sit on my lap and I had a leash with her while she put her head out but after a hiking trip she fell asleep on my lap and I unfortunately did as well, (first wreck I ever had in my entire 20 years of driving) I hit an 18wheeler from behind that basically peeled my front wheel around and sent me spinning into the concrete median. All airbags deployed and thank god in my quickness I was able to push her down behind my legs so the airbag didn’t deploy on her. After we (also had my Doberman in the backseat) all walked away I never again wanted to endanger my baby like that. So with all that being said I wanted to get her the best and felt like what we would both wanted in this is what we got.
Hope this helps you for your fur baby but I HIGHLY recommend buying an extra and you make the decision on your own. This one did come with a pad inside whereas the other didn’t.
Kept our dog safe a secure for almost 5 years now. Love that this sits suspended on the back of the seat so can be easily removed and means less dog hair on the car seat. Covers comes off for easy washing.
The box is very well made & he jumps into it on his own & it seems to help him feel safe whilst giving him a view out of the window. It may not suit bigger dogs but is comfortable for our 5.5 kilo boy. Would most definitely recommend.
I had a travel carrier that my puppy had outgrown and I was looking for something more secure. I like that you can tether the dog to the seatbelt and the seat. I’m more confident that she would be safer in the event of a collision/emergency stop. Definitely only big enough for a small breed.
We bought this as our 2y old dog is anxious in the car (panting, vomiting, salivating, whining). She’s usually better when she’s looking out of the window. This basket is a godsent! She able to look outside, barely makes a sound and fell asleep when we got to the motorway. The securing clip is a bit short for her, just because she twists and turns in it and tangles herself up but we’ve solved it by putting a training leash around the seat and attaching the security clip to the leash. Strongly recommend giving this basket a go if your dog gets nervous in the car
Update: now had the basked for 6+ months and it’s still a winner!
Superb car seat. My little fella was always nervous of travelling in the car. Popped this on the front seat in an elevated position, he can now see what’s going on, look out the window, no longer car sick, doesn’t feel separated – for me less stressful car journey – he was so comfortable he laid down also. Good size seat, I have a male jack Russell of “ample” proportions and he’s comfortable and can move around comfortably.
Generally a good product , just a bit fiddly in terms of getting level against seat.
My rescue pup loves this seat. I used to put her in a crate but it slid around on the back seat. This lets her sit next to me in front and she loves looking out of the window. She often has a snooze in it too so it must be comfy!
This was lovely but unfortunately too small for our Jack Russel miniature – probably because he is an odd shape and overweight !

My dog used to be car sick, but since using this seat we have had no problems.
The seat is sturdy, of good quality and is easy to install. I had to change the clip as the original one was far to big and heavy for my little dog.
As my heading suggests it’s not big enough for my BT to lie down in. It’s not as though she’s huge, only 9.5kg. She sits in it ok but on long journeys she lies down for a sleep and can’t get comfy. As someone else has stated the thin metal rod at the top makes this produce feel cheap, which is a shame. Pity it didn’t come in a slightly bigger size too.

Was not sure about this, but our dog loves it. It has helped with travel sickness also, only had a couple of instances with car sickness, our dog loves sitting up front and seeing the road ahead and it is comfortable enough for him to sleep in also.
Got this because my Italian greyhound didn’t like being in a kennel in the boot and wanted to see me. This is absolutely wonderful. My iggy feels safe and comfortable in this and loves watching the world go by out the window from this. He also likes to sleep in it too. For me I don’t feel worried that he’s rolling around in the back of my car, I know he’s secure. I would recommend this.
My Lhasa Apso loves his car seat .He is a very nosey doggy so loves to look out .It feels secure but sometimes looks a bit wonky but that might be the design of our car seats .Its adjustable straps are great and it’s ideal that you can remove the lining to wash

This does everything it says it will do. My 4kg Jack Russell cross Yorkshire Terrier has been anxious about the car until he started travelling in this. He can sit up and look out of the window or curl up and go to sleep. Plenty of room, I added a fleece blanket to give him a little extra height. I also swapped the heavy duty clip that attaches your dog’s harness to the seat with a camping clip that is much lighter in weight (that would be my only criticism but easily remedied). I’m very grateful for this design and would recommend it to anyone with a small dog.
Liked the stress on car safety (rather than twinkly stuff for small dogs). Fits easily and strongly to front or rear seats, suspended above seat to prevent air bag discharge in the event of an accident. My dog is 2.5 k and can roam around the box to settle down and sleep. Small point – the tether clip provided was far too heavy for such a small dog and does not rotate, so the strap twisted until the dog could not lie down. now replaced clip with a rotating lighter one – all is fine. Very good quality overall.
Pros – deep bucket walls, so my small puppy curls up and goes to sleep, seems secure, and nice colors
Cons – the carabiner that connects the car seat to the puppy/dog is too thick and barely fits through my puppie’s harness, it makes it quite difficult. Also, the walls are almost too deep where i cant even see my dock anymore but atleast that may be safer (put that on my pros list) and the blanket/soft part is not very thick it is thin and you can feel the metal support poles around it. I would recommend putting a blanket at the bottom if your dog is too small to prop the dog up and to give more comfort.
Well, i could not decide which car seat, so i bought 2 and will return the other one. The other one i bought after looking at many safety articles and reviews or anything i could find, it was the K and H seat similar to this one but that one is much lower walls, too long of a leash so my puppy would fly out if there was a crash and an opening in the front which would make matters worse. I will include a picture of that one (the non blue car seat which is this one) to help you because that is a very popular car seat as well on Amazon that you will probably see so hopefully this helps others looking to compare!

This did not work as an aid to travel for my dog. She found it too restrictive and it just compounded her car travel anxiety. Nevertheless this is a very good quality product, sturdy and well constructed, though the frame at the front could benefit from a little more padding. It felt very secure once it was fitted in the car. Fitting was relatively straight forward, though you do need to read the instructions which accompany the product quite carefully, especially in relation to the belt which attaches to the dog’s harness. The seat does lift the dog higher and for many dogs this would be a major aspect of the seat’s appeal. It is not a cheap seat but it is a good quality one. I just wish the dog liked sitting in it!

Before this item we had her harness strappled into one of those pet belts. The only problem we had was that shed still wonder the back seat, no matter how short we made the belt, shed always have room to move. The boyfriend has leather chairs too. So the moment hed break or turn a corner. Her furry little bum would slide all over. Couldnt tell you the amount of times she ended up slipping all over the place, once she slipped into the footwell and one time she got free of the belt and ended up climbing through the front seats and on me. All this between vet visits made her a very anxious passanger, who would cry and shake.
When I saw this product I knew we had to give it a try. Price margin in my opinion was very high, however I decided to jump in and go for it. And I am glad I did! I now have 2, one for each of the cars.
This little booster seat is amazing. We have gone from anxnious dog who cried in the car and did nothing but shake to a dog who has mastered Zen. Its made her comfortable on car rides, she can see out the window if she wants to or sleep in it, which she does a lot! Shes tried escaping the seat once (shibas are well known for being escape artists and stubborn when they get an idea) She didnt get too far due to the harness attachment.
The structure of the item is great too. Its very nice and stirdy. Im not worried she will break the seat nor am I worried she will fly out if we stop suddenly. The quality of the product is great. Loads better than the cheaper seats out there.
Id love it if they did a slightly bigger seat, but Shibas are quite like cats, if they fits they sits! Needless to say, I am a very happy dog mum. We now go all over the place for long walks as we know she looks forward to sitting in her seat.

My daughter has a little dachshund/Jack Russell-cross, who was always car-sick and very unhappy when travelling in a car. Since I bought her this, she has no problem travelling in the car. She puts he little paws on the edge and looks out of the window, enjoying the scene. It’s extremely easy to fit.
Works so well for a Jack Russell puppy. Was great in a Range Rover Sport, but doesn’t work quite as well in an Evoque because of seat shape.

Easy to fit, strong and just the right size for our Border terrier she loves it!
I have the orange (skybox booster), blue (rover booster), and the red (heather booster). The rover booster doesn’t have a waterproof interior liner like the other two do — but it’s not a big deal at all. For $15 less, I’d say it is just as functional. The fleece liner and mat are more than enough to contain accidents. The only added convenience of the interior liner is to make the car seat usable without the fleece liner and mat it comes with, but if you have an accident you can likely just remove the mat and use just the fleece interior liner. I would perhaps get the heather charcoal gray one if I were to purchase a blue seat again (slightly better, but also $15 more), but the rover booster is an excellent cheaper option.
Really couldn’t ask for a better product for small dogs riding in the car — especially for the reasonable price!
easy to set up not as deep as i though
This booster seat is absolutely brilliant. Fabulous quality and has made travelling with my little dog safe for us both. It is so easy to fit and is very secure when fitted. It even comes with a video to show how it should be fitted as well as clear written instructions. The only thing I would recommend is putting in a thick blanket to hang over the sides so if your dog wants to rest their paws over the sides it makes the metal frame more comfortable. My dog got used to it very quickly and finds it extremely comfortable. Can’t recommend this booster seat highly enough.
My dog would always whine and get sick whilst travelling in the car. Have used this twice now and both times he has been great. Now he can see out the window I think it has made all the difference. Item well made too. He is only 4.2kg and fits in it fine but not sure i would recommend if dog was much bigger as he would not fit it in so well. For me it was worth the money (gutted it went down by 9 not long after buying it) as can now travel and have a happy dog in the car.

My small shih Tzu is quite happy in it…..she has only been in it a few times but seems happy and secure. She does tend to rest her chin on the edge and as this is just a mental bar we got some pipe insulator polystyrene stuff and just clipped this around it under the cover and its perfect so she doesn’t bump her chin or face

Very easy to fit. I bought a 2nd one for my other car so I don’t have to keep switching them over. Would definitely recommend this item.

We had gotten and tried the more traditional pet carrier but she hated being in it. She settles immediately in the skybox, loves the freedom and the fact that she can see everything (we she isn’t curled up and snoozing!)
The one disadvantage is that the clip that comes with it to attach to her harness was way too heavy for her small frame but was easily solved by replacing with a smaller one.
Great for my small Jackrussel. Now he gets to see everything.
The first kurgo I purchased lasted 4 years and took some battering from my Jack Russell, jumping in and out, propping herself up to see where we were going.
I then bought a cheaper dog seat you see advertised but it had no support and I had to use the old kurgo metal frame.
I have up in the end and purchased a new kurgo. It’s an updated frame design but still as good.
You have to pay for quality. Don’t waste your money buying cheaper is my advice. This is fit for purpose and will keep your dog safe, happy and comfortable.
