Overall I love this device. I’ve had it less than a week and have been engraving everything in my house: wooden drawers, my wallet, glasses case, greeting cards, even tortillas and melons! Some materials take a few attempts to figure out good settings (power and duration) so I would recommend where possible testing on a scrap of the same or similar material.
Pros:
It’s easy to set up – download the phone app, power on the laserpecker, follow some simple instructions and you’re ready!
It’s even easier to use – power it on, connect with the app, tell it what to draw and what it’s drawing on. If you want to tweak the engraving settings manually that’s easy too.
Being portable means you can use it on objects that wouldn’t fit in a normal engraver e.g. drawers.
Small size and low power draw mean you can bring it anywhere and power it off a battery bank.
The resolution is surprisingly high
Cons:
The tripod feels a little light and flimsy.
It is easy for the laserpecker to get accidentally moved slightly during burning or between passes, misaligning the work.
Good engraver. Only problem was the laser is set to fill power during the demo so burns right through the paper provided. With proper power settings it works well on paper as well as wood. I haven’t tried anything else at the moment.
At first I wasn’t sure if the engraver could be positioned in the right way to engrave some of the products, this was solved because you can screw it onto any suitable camera tripod.
This allows you to easily place almost anything under it to be engraved.
We have used it on crates, bamboo tongs, soap dishes and all other manner of engravable items.
The software is easy to use and the whole episode was fun and straight forward. The packaging is great and if you are thinking about getting one, go for it. It does what it says it does.

Bought as a gift, once hight is set works very well. Worth while setting up out side or a well ventilated space.
The engraver works well as long as you bear in mind its limitations. Success on variable materials such as wood can be mixed and sometimes it’s not clear what went wrong. Generally a smooth/shiny/burnished finish, which occasionally occurs just from sawing, will not work. Roughing the surface with sandpaper helps. The wood must be reasonably dry too.
The app is easy to use but a bit basic. Using a separate image editor is the best way to prepare images before engraving if they need tweaking or text adding.
I bought this to engrave logos and text on wood, which it does very well.
Excellent and easy to use. I use it to put my logo on wood turned bowls and names on pens. Fantastic. Would be better to have more fonts inbuilt but that’s a minor issue

This is a wonderful machine and the customer service is second to none. I had a small issue with my transaction and customer service’s bent over backward to resolve the problem.

Fantastic little laser, great for novices like us! We make things out of driftwood and this laser engraver has proved invaluable in embellishing our products with our logo and fine detail.

Fairly straightforward to use app, you can download loads of fonts to use with it.
It takes a bit of getting used to the power settings for what you are trying to achieve, but once you have the hang of it, you get some amazing results!
Wow love it, first of all though I’d like to get the one negative out the way. You can only register and use the device with a GMail Account which is absolutely bonkers! Totally ridiculous! I only use and want iCloud or my own business email account using my own domain and was forced to open gmail just to set the device up then delete my gmail account after.
However!!. When you do get to use it you’ll forget about the stupid email thing and love the littler LaserPecker it’s just awesome from quality of build right through to the laser etching quality and very user friendly, easy to use app. I bought this along with a camper tripod to run a little business as a call out engraver for boats and cars etching personalised logos names etc etc onto their leather seats. Upon testing on my office chair it’s going to work perfectly very happy
I had the LaserPecker set up and running in minutes.
I was really impressed with the final products during the test.
I then made a heart with an engraved picture of my Mom’s late dog, that I made into a keyring.
She loved it! Doing them for all the family now!
Purchased the air-purifying case separately, as there is quite a strong smell of burning and some smoke when the machine is working.
I bought this primarily for etching wooden which it does brilliantly. Top tip- buy a small fan to blow away the smoke for more even results.
I saw a YouTube video of this product and couldn’t resist. It’s fantasticdoes exactly what it says on the box. Great form factor and design, and ready to go straight from the box with the app. I’m currently in the process of testing it’s limitsit’s a small, comparatively low powered device, but has no problem with wood, cork and leather so far. The app is slightly limited when it comes to image manipulation, so it’s best to do as much as you can to prepare images prior to engraving. Having said that, adding images to the app is simple and fast, and the adjustments are also easy to accomplish.
The only real challenge is lining up the work beneath the laserhence my recommendation for the stand (which I haven’t purchased yet). The tripod is sturdy and effective, but means heigh has to be set manuallyand the laser head can easily be moved “out of square” with the work beneath. But over all, an excellent product, fun and easy to use – and looks like magic when view through the safety of the included ‘mad scientist’ looking goggles. Love it.
I am very happy with it. I have used this to play with, teach about lasers to youngsters but mostly I have been using it to engrave (well burn) my company logo onto wood and paper items.
What I like:
* Packaging is good quality and presents the product nicely.
* It is very portable. I will be using it in various locations, so that is good.
* It is very easy to set up, use and is effective at what it does.
* The app is very simple and along with my own designs loaded onto the mobile phone I can get most of the things I want done easily. One improvement would be the ability to take a previously used file and adapt it (size, power/depth, etc) but this is easily got around by uploading it again with the different settings.
* Pre-set materials are pretty close but some experimentation is needed. May be a tip for people that if not sure, you can start at a lower setting on power and depth and if needed (without moving anything) you can run it again if not visible enough.
* It is bright though, so the included safety glasses are a great addition.
Nothing much bad to say on it. Overall it is a great and fun bit of kit and does exactly what it says it does. I will keep checking back for if they do one that can engrave metal directly. With a bit of ingenuity you can get it to engrave on on materials that are not in the manual but remember “safety first”.
Fantastic piece of kit.
You have to learn and experience how to get the most out of it. Also gaining experience before using it on important stuff is important.
Only difficulty I see are height adjustment and having constant airflow so the smoke doesn’t interfere with the laser doing it’s job.
This is not really for industrial use.
Enjoyed it. I think the height adjustable stand may be important rather than adjusting the tripod as the 200mm distance is very important. The laser doesn’t work on shiny surfaces. It works very well on Matt surfaces.
I just bought the Laserpecker 1 a few days ago. I’m a woodturner and I wanted to burn a design onto the bottom of wooden bowls and other items.
I’ve already etched a custom design onto several items and they’ve turned out great. You soon learn how much power and depth to set it to. If you’re unsure how it will behave with a particular material, start on low settings. You can always go over it again on higher ones.
Firstly, I’d like to say how amazed I am with this laser product. I have just been blown away with the build quality and the quality of the designs it can burn.
I can see I am going to be getting a lot of use out of my new laser engraver.
I certainly can’t think of any criticisms or suggestions as I’m very happy with it.
I elected to get the basic tripod version as I could not stretch to the fancier stand that automatically raises and lowers it but that’s my personal choice.
I can definitely see the advantage of it though as adjusting the legs on the tripod takes a little extra time but this is not a criticism.
Overall, I’m very pleased that I saved up and bought this product.
Comes in really nice packaging and has everything you need to set up, including a very handy ruler. Engraves really well and the app is really easy to use.

Easy to use and set up, but more important than that is the support. I had a cause to contact Laserpecker and they were extremely helpful, professional and polite, quite refreshing these days.
I really like the product; very easy to setup, simple and instant connection with the app, and an overall neat and clean design (product and app interface). I am using on wood and the finish so far has been great.
Possible improvements?
Could there be a way during guide light preview to help the user to position the surface horizontally to be engraved, maybe with a square grid light, or maybe a cheaper transparent square grid template sheet. Currently using logic and judgement to align using the guide light and surface edges. The LaserPecker Pro would be easier to resolve this as it comes with a square base.
Also could the app allow to input the size of the engraving surface, then allow the user to apply mutiple text/image in the space in one etch?
Otherwise I’m excited to experiment with more projects. I haven’t tried cutting however.

Great little laser engraver for the hobbyist. Very easy to set up and use.
It’s a little fiddly but once ‘fiddled’ it’s fun to work with.
I’ve had some issues with the app but I’ve engraved leather, wood and paper with a variety of designs and texts.
You need an eye to make sure it’s in the right place but the preview function helps.
This will be used time and time again … all good.

Very easy to use. Have tried on leather, fabric, hessian, wood and fabric with good results each time.
I like the option to set how many passes you need and if it’s not engraved as deep as you’d like then you can repeat.
It’s brilliant for my needs. Endless possibilities for use. I’ll keep on playing with different materials to check its potential. Lightweight and easily portable.

I have been using the laser etcher for a few days now and I have to say I love it! The software is extremely easy to use and my results so far have been great. A bit of trial and error is needed to get things right but by having a trial run on a spare bit of material works well. The tripod it comes with is a little fiddly to line up and I had to tighten the screws on the legs to make it a little more stable. There is a handy ruler that comes with it that helps get the height right but it takes a bit of care to move the less to the height you want. Once you have got the height right that isn’t a problem unless you are planning lots of projects using materials of different thicknesses. With this in mind I have ordered the stand for it which I believe will be much more substantial and versatile. The goggles that are supplied with it are fine but I have also purchased the screens that go with it as an extra precaution
This is not a toy and I am wary of letting my grandchildren use it except under strict supervision but even so it will be easy for them to send me their own designs that I can etch for them.
In conclusion I would highly recommend this product to anyone interested in craft and design. Whilst it may seem a little expensive there is a lot of tech packed into it and I do think that it is competitively priced and is good value for money

The LaserPecker is a great product! It’s small and lightweight which makes it highly portable and easy to use for beginners. Set up is quick and it works really well for small engravings. It can take a while for more complicated engravings but you can just walk off and leave it as long as it is in a stable and well ventilated area that is safe to operate. Simple instructions and guides for safe use are included and I’d definitely recommend this reasonably priced laser engraver to anyone wanting to create some cool and unique gifts or products to sell.

This is an amazing piece of equipment. So easy to use. I had it out of box and using it in less than 10 mins. I bought it primarily to engrave my wood turnings but can already think of many other uses.

An instruction tutorial for the app would be very useful. As someone with graphic design experience I find it very frustrating and difficult to design with the app.
With a better app solution it would be an unbeatable device.
This is a great little engraver. It is easy to use from your phone and gives great results. Found the default settings worked well on wood (slices of a log to make decorations), but cork required a reduction in power as it was a lot darker than the picture.
Would be nice to have a PC app so I can leave it running rather than leaving my phone as I have had some engravings take over 20 minutes (very dark scene).
As an absolute beginner to the world of laser engraving this was not as scary as I imagined! It is easy to set up and use. The app is good but maybe more versatility and options in the app would be an improvement. The engraver works efficiently and quietly and gives a precise finish which looks very professional. We’re still beginners and are experimenting still but have found it seems to work better for us the smoother the surface is but maybe with more practice and adjustment we’ll get a better result on courser textured material.
Overall very pleased so far with this fun little bit of kit and looking forward to engraving anything and everything we can find to experiment on!

This thing is phenomenal, not had any issues with most materials, the pre made settings are accurate and work very well, except plastic – it means PLA and similarly softer plastics not ABS.
Would recommend for hobbyists!
Cannot fault laserpecker, I am over the moon with how easy it is to use. The app also is very easy to use. It is well built very sturdy and packaged really well. I have done a few projects with it and am very happy with how they turned out. It can be run by a power bank or the adapter that comes with it.,making it very portable and light. I would recommend this product highly and can’t thank the team at laserpecker enough.

This arrived on time and i was pleasantly surprised at the quality of presentation of the box and kit, I had an issue with getting logged on to the app but a simple contactor support resolved this and subsequent clearing of spam found the information i had been looking for,
ran some of the test patterns successfully, but some imported images were not so successful.
it is however a wip to develop the appropriate images. But happy with what ive used so far.
Easy to use and the instructions are very clear,this is something I’ve wanted to try for a while and this laser is a brilliant ,highly recommended
The feature I love the most is being able to select a photo from your phone and the app converts it into a top quality pencil art type drawing.
The included tripod mounting system works really well and there is a 20cm wooden ruler included so it’s easy to get the laser at the perfect distance from what you want to engrave.
The preview function is very handy as that uses a very low power setting on laser to show where the outline will be on your surface before you start engraving so you can position things where you want.
Ok so i’ve had this engraver for a couple of weeks now and I am very impressed with it. It is so simple to set up and the app is just straight forward with presets for different materials or you can use the custom setting and set it up how you like. I have mostly been doing engraving on wood but also a bit of leather work it worked really well on my wallet. also engraved a picture on my sons phone case, I found this works best if you use a black colour white board marker on the area that you want to engrave and wipe it off after.
I bought this to use for engraving wooden objects I sell. I was unsure and nervous at first if this would work. However once I little playing around and support from Laser pecker team (who are easy to access via what’s app) , I feel I have now to a place where I can design creations and it works well for me and what I need it for 🙂 it’s also really neat and small so can be packed away or even if left out it’s not an eye sore in the house like some lasers. Would recommend.
This product is very versatile, I was really worried about the power of the product — would I need to make multiple passes to achieve the outcome I wanted — I needn’t have worried, it’s really powerful and I have been able to get a full range of burns — from a light brown to a heavy black; in a single pass; just by adjusting the power and depth settings (easy to do)
The one draw back is the versatility of set up, you do have to be very careful that once set up, you do not disturb the laser or the item being engraved, this is a precision machine so any minor disturbance will show up
The software provided is very basic and really only intended to get you started — although it’s pretty good for pre-sets like lettering and pictures, if you want to get fancy — like put letters in a circle you will need some additional software, there is great support on Facebook from a LaserPecker group that can help.
Overall — a very powerful laser engraver, that in a single pass can burn an acuate dark black signature on all woods (not black woods obviously!) does all that I want it to do, the only limitation will be my imagination.

Awesome little product which has become a significant asset to my woodworking. It’s so easy to use and can produce some effective engravings. I really like the function at the end of a routine where it allows you to cut again, this way, if you’re unsure as to the power requirement, you can start low and then just add another pass.

This is a real laser so it’s not a toy!! That said, it is so simple to set up and use and it does exactly what I wanted it to do. It’s a sturdy piece of kit and will add super details to my leatherwork. Now, off to find something else to engrave…………
I really enjoyed using this laser engraver however found it to be underpowered and a little slow.
Perfect for people who are playing around and want something to learn with, but if you’re looking to use this as a serious tool on a wide variety of materials, I would suggest going for a more sophisticated solutio
Portability, useful for small printing and engraving of personal items. Making travel leather tag for travel suit cases, key chains etc..
The cable is very short and it’s a bit annoying that the UK plug adaptor has the USB port at the top which makes it awkward to fit in some sockets / extensions. You can obviously buy replacements cheaply though.
The main issue I’ve come across is that it doesn’t always do a second pass when I set it to 2. It does a double-beep and stops so I have to manually start another pass.
Generally my experience with it so far has been really positive and I’m sure I’ve not used to close to its full potential yet.
This machine is excellent, it connected to my phone no problem and it was ready immediately, I have engraved on several surfaces and haven’t encountered a problem
Brilliant piece of kit for first time engraver.
Item arrives in neat packaging. Easy to assemble and extremely easy to work once the App has been downloaded. The app is very user friendly and very easy to use – mostly self explanatory.
I would suggest you also get a protective screen because although it comes with safety goggles it is very bright and if you leave it running in a room it is not practical to keep the goggles on when walking around.
So easy to set up and use from the box and the support team are quick to answer any queries.
Struggling to find any negatives about this item although to cut thicker materials you may need a stronger laser this is perfect for engraving.

The printer fit in the inside of my palm easily, metal construction and lovely brush metal finishes. I managed to power it via my powerbank through out my test and it comes with a 3 pin power adapter and a USB cable if needed. It connect to your phone via bluetooth, a small logo type of print takes a minute or so to transfer and 5 minutes to engrave. Max print size is 10cm wide like my family selfie in the demo video, that took just over an hour to engrave.
I printed logo, photos on the included brown paper and result is sharp, it will not engrave on white paper so I guess it is colour dependent for it to work. Timber is fine and my light colour 3D printed plastic works too but will need experimental adjustment to make it perfect.
The tripod is the only thing I did not like about this product, it did not want to work out of the box and after tightening the screws on the base and the legs it is better but for long term use I will seek alternative mounting system.
