Great mowe
My first battery mower and I totally recommend it. Easy to assemble out of the box and batteries arrived almost fully charged too.
It mows and stripes my back garden just as well as my previous wired Flymo but in half the time as I’m not faffing around with long cables and extension leads. This mower handles a very bumpy and uneven lawn plus twigs, leaves and longer clumps of grass absolutely no problem.
Only needs half a battery charge to mow 7m x 14m lawn shown in the picture – all done in 15 minutes.
brilliant lawnmowe
It comes with 2 batteries. First time I used it for 25 minutes, battery didn’t run out. Charged it and it only took 45 minutes. Returned a previous lawnmower (forgotten which make) because it ran out in under 20 minutes and after 2 hrs it still hadn’t fully charged. I really like my new lawnmower.
Excelle
I got this to replace and an unpowered push-along cylinder mower which was become a literal pain due to arthritis. I have about 70 square meters of grass to cut and this makes it a doddle, getting through the task in half the time and uses only one battery per cut.
Grass collection a efficient and easy to empty, although it’s so easy now, I’ll probably mow more often and make use of the mulching attachment. While far from silent it is much quieter than a most mowers and not much louder than the mower it replaced.
A great battery powered mower.
This battery powered mower is surprisingly very good with its two batteries and a 34cm cut. Also the grass cutting height feature with one leaver is easy to manage. The back roller on this rotary mower makes my lawn look as though its been cut proffesionally with a cylinder mower. Very easy to use, clean and compact to store when finished mowing. A fantastic buy.
Excellent Cordless lawnmowe
Well as per Amazon fast delivery , next day. Very simple and easy to assemble , battery came charged and the spare half charged .
Impressed with the ease of use and how light it is. First use 2 large lawns front and back of house and 2 side lawns all on 1 battery. And battery charged fully in 17 minutes ,therfore did not need for 2nd battery. The lawns I would think would be the size of 2 tennis courts plus 2 sides equal to 1. Very impressed how quite it is. My last mower was a Bosch 37 electric which I have had for several years. But noisy in comparison.
Was a great Lawnmower and after some great customer service will live on again with Cleva.
LawnMaster 24V 34cm Cordless Lawn Mower with Spare Battery
At the time and for over two years, we thought that if Carlsberg made lawnmowers, this would probably be it. We have always looked after our gardening and power tool products but went on a new route after having Qualcast for many years.
The Cleva LawnMaster has lasted well, with regular maintenance until this year, when one of the plastic handles started to fail and has eventually broken off.
This is a common fault for lots and lots of manufacturers and you can buy a spare set cheaply for all the regular names.
Whist out of warranty i contacted Cleva and was happy to pay for replacement handles. Thy advised me they were currently out of stock so after a temporary repair i waited.
We chased them again and with a very prompt email response were advised they were still out of stock.
We then received another response advising that due to safety issues the handles were not being sold as an after sales product.
I was a bit surprised and wrote straight back advising them how i was qualified to safely change this product with the battery removed and that it seemed ridiculous that a very good working order product, was going to have to be dumped as well as the fact we had promoted their products to friends and family but would not be touching them again, over such a simple part, that can be replaced simply for dozens of other very similar manufactured machines.
Today we received an updated reply confirming we would now receive new handles, great news. After exchanging address, invoicing, order details, i have received a call and after all the hassle and concern i had raised about this ridiculous situation, Deb and the Management team were pleased to advise me that they would be replacing the complete mower, minus batteries. (which are still going strong)
So we have had use of a great quality mower (Handles the exception) and look forward to a few more years of Cleva Mowing, with the roller producing perfect stripes with great grass collection. Thanks Deb.
Best Lawn Mower I've had
This is my third battery powered lawn mower and by far the best. My previous mowers of different makes cost more and were no where as good as this Lawn Master mower. I have quite a large lawn and one battery charge cuts it all with power to spare.
I use the 2nd lowest cutting height on my lawn which gives a nice striped finish without scalping the grass. The grass collection box is excellent and unlike my previous mowers it collects all the grass with no cuttings left on the lawn.
I like the fact the mower gives more power when it hits a longer patch of grass and having a spare battery is a bonus as alternating them should extend the life of both batteries.
Overall I’m very pleased with the mower and would be happy to recommend it.
Light weight, manoeuvrable and efficie
Having had a Hayter petrol mower but suffering with fybromyalgia I was struggling to mow the lawn, especially around the shrubs, pots, etc. due to the weight of the mower. This seemed like a toy version of a mower in comparison when I put it together but it was amazing. It cut very effectively, told you when the grass box was full, didn’t get choked up with wet grass and the batteries lasted way longer than I needed even with a sizeable garden. Very happy
Very happy
Bought this after my Flymo minimo decided to give up after a couple of years. What a difference! Single battery lasts the entire lawn no matter the state it’s in. I really like the gear change that happens when the grass gets thicker. Loses a star for the handle. It’s quite fiddly to unfold and the quality doesn’t feel as good as the rest of the machine. Overall very happy with it for the price.
Ease of use
I purchased this mower a month ago now. I have to agree with all of the positive previous reviews.
It came well packaged, the instructions were easy enough to follow. I am a sixty nine year old lady, and I found it easy enough to put together on my own.
It is lightweight, which is a plus for me, and relatively quiet compared to my electric lawnmower which this has now replaced. For me, it takes the two batteries to cut both front, and back lawns. Having two batteries is a plus. I would recommend this mower without hesitation.
After looking at various options and reviews I chose this as my first cordless mower. It is simple to assemble and comes with two batteries, fully charged. Some parts feel a bit flimsy, but work OK and make it feel lightweight on my medium-sized, sloping lawn. The quality of cut is good and it gets to the edges, but if you want stripes I suggest a heavier mower would do a better job. After half an hour of use the first battery still has power to spare.
I’m sure other products perform just as well, but overall I’m happy with my purchase so far.
Bought this last week to replace a very disappointing Murray Cordless mower which died on me after less than 4 years use, bearing in mind that for 6 months of each year (Nov to March) it isn’t used. First impression is very good. It is light, maneuverable, cuts superbly and is excellent for my small lawns. Two batteries means I will never run out of power as one battery will easily do my two lawns. My only very minor suggestion would be that it should have a quick-release mechanism on the folding handle so it could be stowed more easily. Some of the plastic seems a little thin on the starting handle but time will tell if it lasts. Same with the batteries, not as robust with the moulding as say Dewalt or Murray but they work fine so far. Overall for the price this is a great little mower and I am pleased to recommend it.
In my previous garden I had a 110ft lawn which was rectangular and I was happy to trundle up and down with a corded mower doing straight lines back and forward. Now I have an L shaped lawn at the front of the house with the power access at the other side to the rear. Mowing the lawn entails dragging an extension reel to the front of the house and constantly moving the cable out of the way for each cut.
With this mower I had cut the entire lawn in the time it took me to previously just get ready to cut.
This mower is supplied with comprehensive instructions completely in proper English but it was easy to assemble without even consulting them.
It comes with two batteries which is a big plus as you don’t have to worry about running out of charge before you finish. The batteries also have a test button to check the charge before you start.
It is light and easy to manoeuvre but only does light stripes unlike a heavier model.
The grass collector held all the grass I cut whereas before my Bosch model would need emptying part way through.
Another big plus is that it folds up neatly so when you put it away for the winter it will take up much less space in my shed with the collapsible grass collector stowing neatly on top.
I extremely thoroughly researched cordless mowers. The main problem is the battery. Now Lawnmasters are the only Company who have common sense as they give you 2x4amp battery (Most others at this price range I saw were shipping 1×2.5 amp).
Each battery lasts about 20-30 minutes. The charge to full time is 60 mins. You could very easily mow for 1.5-2hours mostly uninterrupted.
Performance – the mower glided over my back lawn which is flat but was long. It then made light work of the front garden which is very uneven and very long.
There’s 6 height settings which you do not get with any other mower. The grass catcher is excellent. It is light and can be carried with one hand. It takes minimal space when stored vertically. The battery has a very easy battery life inspection button.
I genuinely have no faults with this – if I had to be extremely picky – it’d be nice for it to be shipped with a dual charger and to have some kind of battery life display while mowing.
If I’d have paid an extra 100 I’d still say it was excellent value for money. It is honestly the best option on the market – do not look elsewhere.
I found the mower easy to assemble and it cuts the lawn well. My back lawn is about 6 fence panels by 3 and the battery lasted fine – wondering if I even needed to buy a mower with a spare now. I initially put the mower on the top height for the first cut of the spring but it didn’t even come close to touching the long grass. Having lowered the height it cut well and the roller added an OK stripe. Compared to a mains powered mower this feels less powerful but it does seem to do the job. The box for the cuttings can be a bit finicky to put on but it’s no big deal. Overall the lack of cord makes up for any shortcomings.
Superb
Easily assembled as the main work has been done for you. Instructions are well written and concise -simple to follow. Safety system is great and effective. An altogether unique piece of engineering.
Good value mowe
Its a good mower light and good battery life you also get a spare battery which is very usefull ideal for average size lawnd ,its even got a roller .its my first battery mower and i am well pleased with i
Good produc
Extremely good value for money. The cutting height was lower than my other mower so first cut was a bit low. Cuts wet grass very well all in all a good purchase
Great mower for the price
Came on time and easy to put together, cuts the grass well and the added strips are nice due to the roller. Easy to use and not to heavy, great grass cutter basket.
I hate reviews where the person gives something 5 stars and then says, “just got it out of the box, really great!”
So,
I’ve had this lawnmower over a year (June 2022), it replaced a very good petrol mower that died after many years of hard work. I was quite dubious about it at first, it cost half that of the petrol mower and seemed (as stated by another reviewer) quite “toy-like”. True it is very light, I can carry it around with one hand, but that is also one of its’ plusses, it can be moved, packed up and stored away and then retrieved without struggling to get it out of a jam-packed garden shed.
I have a good sized garden, it takes about 45 minutes to mow, I need both batteries to complete the job, one is completely discharged by the time I finish and the other is at least down to half, maybe even a quarter charge left. Charging takes quite a while and they cannot go on charge “hot” from use, they need to cool down, by the time I’ve finished mowing I can put the first one on charge, about 40-60 minutes later the second one can go on charge.
The lawn looks very good on the lowest setting, with nice stripes and probably matches my old petrol mower on that score. It does struggle with long grass and first cut of the year, on its highest setting is a slow process, both batteries will be dead by the time I’ve finished and after a day or two needs a second cut to get it down to a nice height, after that it can be cut on the lowest two settings on a regular basis with no problem, but again, leave it too long and it will struggle unless it is on one of the highest settings. In my mind this is the only area it cannot compete with a good petrol mower, but the manufacturer does warn that it cannot cope with grass over a certain height (it does, on its’ highest setting, very slowly and with plenty of stops to ensure it does not burn out – I know I’ve done it, but I wouldn’t recommend it on a regular basis). Bottom line, it will never match a petrol mower on a large garden or very high grass, but for most people it will be plenty good enough and probably cost half the price of a petrol mower and without the faff of storing petrol, checking oil levels and regular maintenance.
Pros:
Light, easy to handle. Fold up handle takes a few seconds to operate so packs away in a much smaller area than my old petrol mower. Good finished cut. Half the price of a good petrol mower and no running costs other than the cost of charging the batteries.
Cons:
Doesn’t have the power of a petrol mower, batteries take a good while to charge, struggles on very high grass. Not self-propelled (like most petrol mowers).
If someone gave me a petrol mower I’d be happy, would I replace this one with a petrol one? No and I would definitely consider buying again if/when this one dies.
