Having a lot of pets and my wife recently suffering from hayfever I looked at many reviews before deciding to go for a Levoit 300s model , it was up and running in no time and i was amazed at how quick on auto the fan kicked in the minute a cigarette was lit

Works in the background, clears the air and best part is you can schedule it to come on/off at various times so just it do its thing. Really low in electricity use, guessing just a few pence a day.
I got so sick of the smell of weed in my flat from neighbours! So I googled the best air purifiers and this one came up in the list. It is definitely helping, it gets rid of all the bad smell very quick!
I think the 300s is the one to go for, the app to control it works very well but you have to find the features, instructions are minimal. Ignore the app saying you have to lock the controls on the app to control the unit you don’t!
As for the unit, it works very well, the air quality sensor is sensitive and accurate. I went for the green filter, and it does seem to be better for us, with an occasional smoker in the kitchen.
I will stick with the genuine Levoit filters, I don’t trust the cheaper copies..
We like that you can control the unit remotely or on it simultaneously. Very helpful.
I don’t get the reviews complaining about the sound? On fan settling 1 it is inaudible to us, on 2 barely audible. Obviously on 3 you can clearly hear it, but it does not detract from listening to radio, TV etc.
Build quality is good. Appearance likewise. I have no moans whatsoever!

As a Macaw owner, having an air purifier is a must and I can honestly say that this has not only been a game changer but a life saver! It’s efficient, easy to use, very responsive and I’ve utilised the app features more then I predicted I would. I know it might be pricey for some, but I truly do recommend this purifier.
I am still working my way through the standard filter that comes with it when you purchase, and as a pet owner I look forward to seeing how well the pet filter preforms. But for the big standard filter, it’s done an amazing job
I got this because my Amazon sensor detected increased VOCs when e.g. using the oven or toaster. The Levoit didn’t detect them itself and even when I set Alexa to auto turn on when the VOCs got too high, it made no effect.
I had read that the standard filter might not do the trick so I got one of these in the hope that it helped but to be honest, no difference whatsoever – despite the description of the Levoit says it removes VOCs, it does not.
I didn’t completely believe that this would work but it does! I have a major mould problem so I bought this and also have an air dehumidifier (wish they were all in one for that price) I recently found out I have mould in my ottoman bed and when I opened the storage in it the air jumped to moderate and slowly improved. I’ve had this for about almost 2 weeks and I can see dust in the filter already which means it’s doing it’s job. Definitely recommend it! (I will be buying a new bed asap )
I’ve had many air purifiers over the past few years. Not many pass the test but this one has impressed.
I don’t really check the app for the air quality monitor as I have Amazon air quality monitors which gives me an accurate score.
The auto setting is very sensitive and correlates with when my Amazon sensors say the air quality is poor.
I like the fact there you’re able to turn all of the lights off the panel and also being able to lock the touch panel. I have two cats so being able to lock the touch panel makes my life much easier.
According to my Amazon quality sensors this thing is working well.

Bought this for the sitting room but it’s never left the kitchen so I had to get another for the living room area
Bought this to help my allergy to a dog we were looking after. It’s been a huge help even with the standard filter. When this one expires I will probably buy the pet filter next. It’s amazing when I’m auto mode how it detects the candle smoke and ramps itself up to clear the air. The app that comes with it is great and is so easy to use. Even when the dogs gone we will keep this going as it’s so apparent just how “polluted” the air in your home actually is. Should be a great help when the hay fever season starts. Also as an added luxury we can just tell Alexa to turn it on or off or up or down etc. Altogether a sleek, quiet and efficient bit of kit that I would highly recommend

Purchased as it was a Which? Budget Best Buy. I secretly love the app, with the air quality graph, and the auto function is great as it’s really quiet but will whir in to action if there is an air quality issue. It has only done that once: it was when a neighbor lit their fire – I suspect they may have taken the opportunity to burn some rubbish (but that’s just a guess – it doesn’t normally happen when they light their fire). Whatever happened, all my house was showing red levels of something in the air on this one occasion. Down side: it doesn’t seem to include dust in its air quality measure. However I use the app to easily program it to come on full when it’s cheap rate electric and everyone is out (as it’s quite noisy on full) and it has definitely reduced the dust in the air. Biggest problem is carrying it up and down the stairs regularly (it isn’t small!) – really should buy another one!

Loving it so far. Only has it for two days though. Love that I can lock the display from the phone, toddler can’t mess with it. Air quality I can tell it improves as my phone screen looks a lot less dusty
Helps cat allergies
Love this! My boyfriend has cat allergies but loves our cat so this helps him sleep soundly with it on the night stand. It’s whisper quiet on sleep mode and we leave it on all day and night. When we have the savings will probably get a couple more for the rest of the house. He still gets sneezy in allergy season so has to take a antihistamine, but it’s significantly better than it was without.

Is very silent and within seconds it can identify any cooking smells and if air needs needs clearing. We keep ours on automatic mode and it does the work itself.

I bought this purifier because every idiot on my street has put a log burner in. My house constantly stinks of smoke! I love the automatic setting as it adjusts the fan to the amount of pollution in room. The night mode is really quiet. I also love the app and looking at the graph to see how bad/good air quality was throughout the day you can also control the air purifier through the app which is great! It also helps to keep the smell under control from our dogs. I knocked a star off as I would like it to be more sensitive to co2 fumes to match my co2 monitor (which shows dangerous levels quite often) but all in all it’s a wonderful bit of kit, I’m going to buy another one to put into another room.
We have been using this for a year almost now. I originally bought it as my pregnant wife was unable to use hayfever/allergy medication.
I was sceptical but took the chance – and I’m extremely impressed.
It worked a treat. The air felt cleaner and allergies were much better (gone at night). I’m sure even I slept better with this purifier running.
We used it with our newborn and felt reassured the air was better. The night mode was brilliant but used this on medium or high for white noise for the baby.
When I cleaned/changed the filter it was obvious it was making a real difference.
It’s currently off as I’m waiting for a new filter to arrive and we miss it.
One of the few things in my life I should have bought sooner.
Control by the app is handy, worth the extra money – I’ve never used Alexa unsure how that works.

Integrates with Alexa easily, quiet enough to sleep with (sounds like a desktop computer running when in night mode) and although quite a big unit, it’s aesthetic.
Does it work? No idea. Air quality is pretty good most of the time anyway, but if this is helping even a little bit then great.

Second Levoit air purifier purchased, this time for a larger room. Very quiet and in built smart functions. Timer is handy and so is auto mode that changes fan speed / rate of purification based on air quality. Easily connected to your smart phone. My allergies are under control. I am very rarely happy with the products but this one really deserves a very good review. Contrary to other big name but lame engineering devices, Levoit is a great package with a very good app and 100% precise operation. It detects any dust or smell very good and cleans the air very well. Yes it’s noisy in such intensive running moments but it doesn’t last long. Certainly recommended.

I did a lot of research before buying this air purifier for my son’s bedroom. My initial choice was the Coway Airmega AP-1512HH Mighty, till I read that it has a built-in ioniser that emits a small amount of ozone. Although you can turn the ioniser off, there is no concrete answer from my research whether the Coway still emits ozone. So, I decided not to take that chance and opted for the LEVOIT instead which doesn’t contain an ioniser.
My son has a severe dust allergy and recently he started developing a tight chest and breathing problems only at bedtime. Although the GP thought it was more anxiety related (he has claustrophobia), the nurse prescribed him inhalers anyway. I wasn’t keen on him using daily steroid inhalers if he didn’t actually have asthma. I keep his room super clean but I bought this air purifier, if anything to see if it could help his dust allergy. Since it has been in his room for the past 2 months my son hasn’t had any symptoms of a tight chest or anxiety at bedtime. He hasn’t needed the inhalers. I am really pleasantly surprised.
Like most kids who love gadgets and apps, he can see the quality of the air from the sensor on the app and I think that really helps him feel less anxious too. I wasn’t sure if the app was necessary but it is really useful to see the quality of air from the sensor. I didn’t realise cooking fumes is one of the biggest culprits of bad indoor air lingering in to my son’s room till the sensor detected it – on Auto mode the LEVOIT will automatically boost at a higher speed to clean the air. At bedtime I put it on Sleep Mode which is almost silent. I programme it to turn off when my son goes to school which also means the filter will last longer. When I forget to put it on a timer after putting my son to bed I can still operate it from another room and check the air quality in his room which has been really useful. The filters are also reasonably priced compared to the ridiculously expensive filters for the Molekule air purifier which I also own. Am so glad I bought this air purifier and will buy another for my own bedroom.

Tena un purificador de aire del lidl que no estaba mal, pero pasado un tiempo senta que no tena eficacia. Decid comprar este a pesar de su precio (bastante ms elevado que el anterior) y menuda diferencia. En 5 minutos el purificador pas de estar rojo a verde y la casa ya no huele a tabaco como antes. Sin duda una muy buena compra.

Well designed air filte
I have had this filter for a few weeks now in my bedroom. It took a few tries to get the scheduling correct but I have noticed a difference in my allergies and sensitivities to the high smoke in the air before the rains blew them away.
I am happy I purchased this unit. Would recommend to anyone interested.

You can’t connect to the app etc. if you have Virgin Media, it tells you to change your DNS server which Virgin will not let you do. So contacted their customer service and they respond really quickly with a fix – you need to update the firmware by connecting it to your phone via a wi-fi hotspot. Otherwise really impressed with the product, although the fan becomes noisy after not much use.
I have definitely noticed a difference in the air in my apartment since I have gotten this filter. The other filters work well however due to having a pet and being allergic to that pet, I have noticed a difference between using a regular filter and this one for Allergan.

Glad I paid more for the automatic air monitoring version. The auto mode is really good, if I spray aftershave 10ft away a few moments later it knows and starts speeding up the filter. Steam also triggers the fan, not sure if that’s good or bad. The sleep mode is whisper quiet, similar sound to a very quiet fridge pump. Assume it’s a DC motor so quieter. Put in an energy monitor so I know how much electric it’s actually using and it showed 10w but I don’t have lab quality testing, it just tells me it’s not loads. Placed in a bedroom for person with asthma and keeps the PM2.5 at 1 pretty much constantly, any increase is dealt with very quickly. That’s very good indeed if the sensor is accurate. The app is very good and have used the timer function to switch on and off. Wi-Fi connection is great and Alexa integration works very well but limited data. Think this may help people with pollen allergy or homes suffering mould spores maybe. It is quite big but that also means bigger filter so longer life. Quality is very good and feels like a well designed and made product. Touch panel is responsive, neat and illuminated well, it can be turned off on the app to stop any light annoyance. May get another next summer for living room, see how this one goes first.

My parents snowbird with us for the fall and winter with their 2 gigantic fluffy cats. This filter not only kept the room they stay in cleaner, the cat box area odor free, and my parents had less allergy issues overall. Dad is a light sleeper and he loves how quiet this machine is. Cats were not afraid of it either. After they left there was way less dust/dander to clean than usual. I flip between the pet filter and the house one depending on who and where it’s being used. Only concern is someday they won’t support making these anymore.

Fantastic bit of kit.
Slick modern designed unit that looks the business. Had no trouble setting up with the app and had it working out the box in minutes.
The app is very good, can see & control everything in real time and even has a detailed graph of the history of the air quality for the day week etc. This could be used to x-reference any events that occurred with your air quality etc.
I like the schedule aspect, it runs in auto but I can schedule the unit to run in high speed mode a couple of times a day just as a sort of deep clean effect.
Sleep mode is fantastic for the bedroom and the unit is very quiet indeedLow mode & above can be heard in a bedroom environment etc but assuming you have fairly decent air quality it will sit in auto and you won’t know it’s thereany spike in air quality and it will just kick it up to deal with it and back to quiet operations.
Filter life can be seen on the app too which is a bonus. All in all a very modern slick piece of kit and I love it.
I bought this item because my husband vapes and believes he is doing no harm to the rest of the family, but I do not want to consume second hand vape toxins nor do I want the children of pets to be exposed to these chemicals.
I set this up on Auto mode and as soon as the vape is used it springs into action. The smell and cloud that we were experiencing before is much reduced. As soon as the air has been cleaned, you can hear the machine slow back down. The air quality lights are really helpful – red for poor quality, then amber, green for okay and an blue for good quality. It it’s very reassuring.
I’m very pleased with my purchase.
Quiet, and noticeable change in dust amou
Sleep mode can be heard if you really concentrate on the sound, but its soft humming is quiet enough to fall asleep.
I noticed a difference in the amount of dust I have in my bedroom, but I am still able to see the dust particles in the air during sunny mornings. Note, it is positioned on the ground, so perhaps it takes some time to catch the flying dust above.
Also, considering the amount of dust I had flying around, I am not sure whether I trust purifiers sensor when it says the air quality is “very good”. Maybe I am just annoyed at still seeing the flying dust.
Overall, I guess it is a good product considering it is the first air purifier I own.

Ich habe mir diesen Luftreiniger geholt weil ich starker Allergiker bin und habe den Kauf nicht einmal bereut. Bevor ich schlafen ging habe ich ber die App das Gert eingeschaltet und somit war die Luft gereinigt sobald ich dann schlafen ging. Eine Wohltat. Normalerweise rasseln im Sommer immer meine Bronchien beim Atmen. Diesen Sommer hatte ich Ruhe…ich bekam insgesamt auch besser Luft und hatte keine Atemnot. Der Schlafmodus wurde von mir nicht wahrgenommen. Ein groer Vorteil war auch, da ich unter dem Dach schlafe, dass sich eine gewisse Khle im Zimmer breit machte die sehr angenehm war. Ich gebe eine klare Kaufempfehlung!
pour l’instant je suis conquise, il fonctionne tous les jours. en mode auto il se met au plus fort niveau et ds que la qualit de l’air est bonne il se met en mode nuit. Je l’utilise dans notre salon/sam et nous avons un grand espace, il dtecte mme les odeurs de cuisine attenante et il se met en route. On a un fumeur la maison et il dtecte ds la 1ere fume.

I read the negative reviews before buying and have found a few of them to be incorrect.
One major complaint is the PM2.5 sensor not working properly. I took a screen shot of the air purifier sensor reading on my phone and a screenshot of my 250 airthings air sensor and they gave the same reading. Many negative reviews have said the sensor doesn’t work because it always reads 1. I’ve found that it does work by cross checking reads with a separate air sensor.
When I first bought the unit the sensor was always reading 1 and I nearly returned the purifier. A few weeks after buying the unit the PM sensor started showing readings of 7 and sometimes higher. These readings were the same as my other top of the range air sensor costing 250.
Noise – the night model is whisper quiet. The level 1 mode is enough to clean my large living room in around an hour.
Filter – I bought a green carbon filter as this works on VOC gases such as car fumes. If you live by a busy road or city centre the green filter is the one to buy. It costs about 30 on Amazon The original white filter is very limited and doesn’t cover VOCs. My separate air sensor showed that VOCs were a problem in my apartment but PM2.5 pollution was normal. Therefore this unit with original filter wasn’t really needed.
Using my air sensor I found VOCs and humidity was an issue in my apartment. However PM2.5 readings are always low and don’t require an air purifier. Most air purifiers do not fully clean your air and their use is misleading. They have become popular since Covid and I’m sceptical of their benefits to those without allergies.
Unless you check your air quality with a good air sensor like an Airthings Wave Plus then you can’t be sure that PM2.5 pollution is a problem. Therefore you might not need this air purifier. UK homes are more likely to have issues with humidity during the wet months. Therefore you might be better off with a dehumidifier or buy one with an air purifier filter.
CO2 – I notice when levels hit the red zone on my air sensor I sometimes get headaches or feel tired. Opening a window helps to lower CO2 levels. This air purifier has zero affect on high CO2 levels in your home.
RADONs have been linked to serious medical problems. Air purifiers don’t clear Radons and you will need adequate ventilation such as an open window to help lower them. My air sensor gives me accurate Radon readings. I’ve noticed that Radon levels increase when it rains. Again check you air quality before buying as you might not need an air purifier and may just require better ventilation or a dehumidifier.
Overall after checking the air quality in my apartment I found that PM2.5 was not an issue. I have swapped the original filter for a carbon filter which helps filter car exhaust fume. I live in a busy city centre. My main air quality issues were unable to be resolved by using just an air purifier.
