Very pleased with this basketball hoop.
If you don’t have some spanners then it would be quite a challenge to build, but the instructions are very clear and easy to follow.
I managed to put this together by myself (with the help of strategically placed dining chairs) it is a bit fiddly at parts but is quite straight forward if you follow the assembly video (scan the QR code in the instruction manual). I underestimated how big it would be on my small patio but my son loves it so it’s done it’s job and was a great price
Great ring and board. Quality overall is great! I had to follow a youtube instructional video to put it together as the manual included was confusing as hell! The bottom screw that attaches the feet on either side of the pole was not long enough to reach threw. I had to remove the washer and it was still a struggle to catch on to the nut but we managed it in the end!!
Really Great Basketball set-up. Followed video instructions to put it together fine. Easy to adjust. Would only suggest using a really dry sand type that is easy flowing for the base has the holes are not that big and the sharp sand can clump and take a while to go in.
Very sturdy when built, a little bit fiddly but should last a long time.
Don’t be fooled by what looks like a simple construction! It literally does take hours to build. Worth it. Heavy duty sturdiness just what my energetic family need. Well worth the hours and the money.
What felt like forever this apparatus is finally up after what took nearly 6 hours for me and my partner to figure out where all the parts, nuts and bolts went. We couldn’t belive the size of it when it came glad the other half was here when it was delivered. We still haven’t adjusted the height to the highest and it still towers the side of the house (1 floor)
Will not be taking down when we ever decide to move house as its way to much of a headache.
All in all its very sturdy and my daughter loves it so was worth the struggle

It’s a great product, but it really does take at least 2 hours to put together, sometime the instructions aren’t that clear, but there are helpful video links. It was a bit frustrating at times, but worth it in the end. We were missing 2 support poles and Amazon sent a whole new set just so we could get the poles we needed! Now it’s constructed it is getting a lot of use and my son is very pleased.
At 96, it was a steal! I would not have complained if it was 130 – I may not have impulse purchased at 130 but it is worth that much, in my opinion.
Others have commented on the fact that it takes time to assemble – 2 to 3 hours is stated by Lifetime.
The instructions are fine, in that they relate to the nuts and bolts needed by a 3 letter code but the parts are also referred to with a 3 letter code. What’s missing is that the parts themselves would benefit from a label with the 3 letter code to help with ease of identification – I would have saved 20mins if this was done.
The instructions are supplemented with YouTube video instructions – these helped more with identifying the first set of parts needed to get started than the actual instructions did. The instructions have QR codes at each stage so you can scan those with the camera on an iPad to go to the right part of the YouTube video – a nice touch.
Assembly needs two people for the most of the time. I roped in my 8 year old to helping with some parts and he complained whilst not holding things in position, as requested. The later part of the assembly involve a lot more weight and therefore I got my wife to help me with the easier part of putting bolts in. If I had a friend arranged, I would have saved another 20-30 mins.
The wheels are tricky to attach but putting some lithium grease spray on the plastic before trying to push in the metal rods for the wheels helps – I lined up one side of the rod and hammered it in with a rubber mallet (you can use wood so that the metal doesn’t damage the mallet) and then once in, push the second side in. If the second side refuses to be pushed in, line up the piece of wood and strike it to get a concentrated blow towards pushing it past the plastic lip.
The caps for the holes that you put either sand or water into are a bit on the large side – I had to hammer them in with the rubber mallet. I used water to fill the base and it works fine.
Overall, it is possible to assemble in under 2 hours with the right help on hand!
Quality wise, I would say it was very good!

After much meditation to calm me down this net is really good. Solid construction and looks great. The instructions are a nightmare though. You need to degree’s in engineering to put it up, and about 3 people too.

I brought this item for my grandson. It was a pain in the ____ too put together it took us 7hrs and then 12 hour to aline one screw to finish it off. There are two holes where you have a choice to fill with water or sand. Water is the suitable option as you will be there forever and a day filling it with sand. Its very good value for money and very sturdy.

It’s good now it’s up. It’s a bit wobbly but does what we wanted to do..fun for us and gets our youngest off of his x-box for a few minutes!
I’m an Engineer..it needs 2 to assemble and it’s fiddly in places. If I had to build it again it’d take about 15 minutes…this first assembly took 1.5 hours. Be patient and try not to swear.
It is a pain to assemble, make sure you watch the video, but the end result is really good.

Nice and sturdy piece of kit when assembled, looks the part and the young lad seems to like it. All positive but for the assembly, now they could easily explain it better and mark the pieces clearer. It took 2/3 of us nearly 3 hours assemble but hopefully it will be well worth it. Overall seems good
Sturdy piece of kit. Search youtube for how to assemble video and that way it’s easy. Took 3 hours though lol because I didn’t put middle section in first so I had to hammer it in. Use vid lol. Good sturdy piece of equipment. Solid.
The basketball post was great once it was up but getting it up was hard and pieces didn’t fit how they were supposed to. Regardless very sturdy once up whilst being supported with the right weighing materials of course.
Missing one of the wheels. Still very good value for money.

Bought this for my daughters 13 th birthday read loads of reviews and new what to expect and very pleased to say its a great product it does need 2 people to build and does take an hour or 2 but very sturdy and good value in my opinion, as mentioned by a few other reviews the hoop doesn’t quite line up with the holes on the main pole and i did need to drill 2 new holes but no big issue for any diy minded person and this is the only thing i can mark it down on.
A good solid item, hasn’t been used yet so hoping it lasts. It was not difficult to put together with the right tools and following the instructions provided.
It was delivered earlier than the delivery date, there were no missing parts, it was easy to assemble, it took me about 3.4 hours to assemble with the help of my son even though I’m not handy at all. The product was great and very good. Bought it sometime in July, 2020 and still serving me. My son loves it.
This is a really great basketball hoop stand, much like the one In ‘One tree hill’ very sturdy once built, I put together with 2 children helping, as you need another person(s) holding esp when time to stand it up to put in bottom bolt. When unboxing, best to leave all screws on card with numbers on as they all have Random lettering ie: Aob, Aom, some screws are similar and the nuts are on the ends. I have put a sand water concrete mix in ours as we dont intend moving, and where we live it can get incredibly windy. It has stood well so far, this is a good back board and with adjustable height can set for different ages.
Worth the money. And hours of fun.

Really good. The quality is excellent. I agree with some of the other reviews it is tricky to build due to it’s height. It is definitely a 2 man job and it’s helpful if one person is pretty tall and strong. It took my husband and son 4 hours to build. Really good basketball stand we filled ours with water but we don’t move it very far just turning it. My son loved it. I would say it’s more for older teenagers.

I chose to fill the base with sand, this process took far longer than the actual assembly, mainly because I bought play sand which is wet and trying to filter it into an inch size hole was somewhat of a task, go for dry sand and you are laughing!
Really hard to assemble but in this lockdown it had been an absolute godsend very happy with it .

Surely just a pole with a net on wont take much building? Its heavy. Its awkward. Its bulky. It will need 2 people to put it together, Ive hung doors and fitted bathrooms by myself but this is simply impossible solo.
Its very sturdy once put together, it took us 2.5 hours in the end. Great value for money – just expect the build to be a trial.

The Lifetime Unisex Streamline Basketball System is a full-size, freestanding basketball hoop and shatterproof backboard for putting up on your driveway or in a cul-de-sac style street environment.
The basketball hoop set arrives in a large heavy box and requires some assembly. When putting together you notice the quality of the set and the strong and sturdy way it’s put together. Once assembles the large base part of the set is filled with either water or sand to give it the added weight it needs to keep it securely in place.
The height of the hoop can be adjusted from 7.5ft to a full-sized 10ft (at 6″ intervals). This is great for younger kids — allowing it to be used as they grow.
The shatterproof backboard is incredibly tough and hardwearing. We’ve had the basketball set out for a little over a month now and can testify that the whole thing really is very solidly made and can withstand quite a beating (and the elements).
All in all, we’ve been incredibly impressed with the set.
I have always wanted a basketball hoop in my garden, now at last I have this very smart system, so at last I can dream a little, try to throw those amazing goals I’ve always dreamed of, whether on my own, or with family and friends. We can all have some fun.
I love the very attractive red hoop and geometric patterned back board. Although it is portable, in as much as it can be moved in a given area using the integral plastic wheels, care has to be taken not to damage the base, as if water is being used to fill the base once damaged, leaks can develop and the system becomes unstable and dangerous. So once I decide on the permanent position I will fill the base with sand. This kit comes in a rectangular box measuring 113 cm x 70 cm x 14 cm (44 ” x 28″ x 5 “) it is very heavy, 15 kg, so not easy to hide at the front door if you are not in to take delivery.
The instructions are excellent and clear, with large diagrams, but unusually only in English. You need two capable adults to assemble this unit. We are used to self-assembly, however it took us 2 very concentrated hours to assemble this unit. If you have a limited tool-kit you will need to get more tools i.e.: 2 adjustable wrenches, 3/8” socket wrench, a Phillips screwdriver, a rubber mallet etc.
The owner’s manual explains clearly the importance of regular maintenance to ensure that rust does not develop in the pole. The system looks so smart and exciting to use, that I am motivated to adhere to regularly checking the nuts and bolts, warning sticker and rust once a month, as I live in a wet climate, but. I was surprised to learn that corrosives such as salt, pesticides, or herbicides could also contribute to creating rust and eventually pole failure.
This Portable Basketball System from Lifetime is great fun — even when used in the middle of January! It is a good design that is very well made and becomes stable once the base is filled with either sand or water — water is probably a bit easier to fill and drain and twelve gallons can be held in the sturdy base. The height of the powder-coated steel pole can be adjusted with a telescoping system that extends from seven and a half feet to ten feet incrementing in six inch stages to get the hoop and the shatter-proof backboard to in the right position for the players. This is the perfect way to practice for budding basketball players of all ages and it can be easily setup in the garden and then collapsed to be moved or stored away in the shed after use. The product is currently a little over one hundred and thirty pounds from Amazon and coming with a five year warranty represents decent value at that price — easy to set up and great fun to use.
I paid 49.99 for this and worth every penny – nice and solid – easy to assemble and looks like it will last – Son loves it!
It stands 7′ 5″ tall and is portable until you fill the base with either water or sand. You can adjust it to suit the height of the players and we tried it with water and it is very sturdy and does not move. The quality and workmanship is first class. I have seen cheaper as we have been looking at these for a while but you get what you pay for and in this instance a fantastic piece of kit. We have three very happy grandchildren.
Le montage est assez long et il faut videmment tre deux pour certaines tapes (oui, il faut parfois tenir ET visser donc seul….ce n’est pas possible).
Par contre, ce panier a une taille minimale de 2,28 mtres et non pas maximale…
Ce qui fait qu’une fois mont et bien impossible de s’en servir, mon fils de 6 ans est bien trop petit!!!

Sowohl der Standfu der mit Wasser oder am besten mit Sand zu befllen ist, als auch das Gestnge und der Korbring sind sehr Robust und qualitativ gut verarbeitet. Einziger Nachteil, ist meiner Meinung nach das Backboard. Es besteht aus wie ich finde, etwas “zu” dnnem Plastik.
Laut Angaben des Herstellers ist die Anlage fr Dunkings geeignet, ich habe es ausprobiert und wrde davon allerdings langfristig abraten.
Fazit: Schne einsteiger Basketballanlage mit gutem Preisleistungsverhltnis.
Da mir meine Frau schon seit geraumer Zeit in den Ohren lag, eine Basketballanlage zu erstehen, damit Sie mir ihre “alten” Tricks der sportlichen Jugendzeit um die Ohren hauen kann, war dies ein gelungenes Muttertagsgeschenk von mir (und natrlich meinem Kindern).
Der Muttertag mit Omas, Opa und anderen blichen Verwandten, verlief dann auch dementsprechend.
Alle mnnlichen Probanden versuchten ihr Glck, abseits des Kuchenbuffet, beim Aufbau der Chinaware.
Die Beschreibungen sind natrlich dementsprechend und liegen wie bei fast allen gngigen Produkten in div. -auch unbekannten- Sprachen vor. Eine deutsche Anleitung riss der Junior denn auch siegesgewiss in die Hhe. Einiges Werkzeug und die kompl. Verschraubung war ebenfalls im Karton zu finden (zum Glck, da hab’ ich nmlich schon Tragdien erlebt).
Und so, bis auf ein paar klitzekleine Unzulnglichkeiten, zu suchen natrlich im Habitus der mnnlichen Aufbauenden, stand das Teil nach gut einer Stunde gen Himmel; jedoch gefhlten DREI.
In Vaters Bastelkeller sollte allerdings ein oder zwei 13er Maulschlssel; bzw. dementsprechende Knarre mit 13er Nuss, ein mittleren Kreuzschraubendreher und der allseits immer wieder gern verwendete Hammer (wenn also nix mehr geht) vorhanden sein.
Als Zugabe, von Papa Walz, gab es noch ein Basketball in Gre 6 ( Molten Basketball B6ST, ORANGE, 6 ) zum mtterlichen Geschenk. Der reicht fr die groen und kleinen Familienfinger unserer neuen Hobbymannschaft auch vollkommen aus.
Und so geschah es zum Abend hin, dass die aufbauenden Herren, von einer strahlenden Mutter und ihren Kindern, gehrig die Basketballleviten gelesen bekamen.
Verdutzt blieben daraufhin die Bierflaschen geschlossen und Onkel, Schwager und Ich schwren bittere Revanche fr den kommenden Vatertag (und nchtern natrlich, wir sind ja Siegertypen; trotz des verstauchten Daumens, der ldierten Schulter und der Risswunde an Jochbein, hervorgerufen vom lackierten Muttertagsdaumennagel).
Fazit: Fr den relativ “gnstigen” Einstieg ins NBA-Fieber bietet diese “Basketballanlage” natrlich eine Menge Spa im Hobby-Krbe-Werfen und deshalb macht man beim Kauf eigentlich kaum was falsch (wenn man sich dazu mein Motto zu Eigen macht: “Billiges kann nichts Gutes sein und Gutes kann nicht gnstig sein”).
Ich tendiere daher zu einer ehrlichen 3,5er Wertung, da ich auch keine Vollprofi-Dunking-Maschine erwartet hab’. Und fr den heimischen Hof ist das aus Metallrohren, Metallkorb und div. Kunstsoffteilen bestehende Vehikel eine gelungene Feierabend- und Familienfreude und alle Mal besser, als der gemeinsame Blick in die TV-Rhre bzw. das sonntglich, gemchliche dahinbrutzeln am vterlichen Grill.
P.S.
Beachten sollte man allerdings,
das mindestens zwei Personen (drei sogar besser; und im vorgeschrittenden Sportlerleben einer mit Lesebrille)
beim Zusammenbau gegenwrtig sind.

Nous avons choisi de lester le socle avec du sable, un conseil : choisissez du sable bien sec ou sinon laissez-le scher.
A premire vue le produit l’air de trs bonne qualit et robuste.
A niveau de la livraison : rien dire comme d’habitude.
Attention cependant au mode d’emploi; il n’tait pas en franais.
Nous avions le choix entre l’anglais, l’allemand ou le chinois.
Pas gnial mais on peut quand mme comprendre par les croquis.

Die Anlage steht sehr stabil, und das Material des Boards ist relativ leise, sodass nicht zu viel Laerm in der Nachbarschaft entsteht. Ist ein Geschenk fuer meinen Sohn, aber ich habe mindestens genausoviel Spass damit.
