Easy to use….rolled and brushed on well. Leave lots of time for drying as it takes a while! I used on my chicken coop and it brightened up the interior (I bought the white colour) and made it easier to clean out.

If going over a dark colour will take at least five coats to cover. Paint is relatively transparent and average coverage due to viscosity. It is easy enough to apply, but note product coverage on product, makes coverage expensive and time consuming for four-five coats. Durability will have to wait to see after Winter.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe used Liquid Rubber Color Waterproof Sealant on our deck, which showed evidence of leaking when it rained. After just one application of 3-4 coats, the leaking was gone and the deck looked great. To ensure a continued waterproof barrier, we subsequently applied several additional coats. The sealant is very easy to apply with either a brush or roller, and dries fairly quickly. The choice of colors is also nice, and eliminates the need to apply an additional color coating over the sealant. To date, we are very pleased with this product and the results.

Really great product! It goes on very smoothly and dries quickly. I got it in medium grey and it looks great on our concrete wall. I bought the primer as well as I saw in other comments that this works best on concrete when combined with the primer. Its great quality and provides a really nice barrier between the garden and our wall.

Applied Liquid Rubber, using in tandem with Liquid Rubber Geo Textile, to a 4 foot long very small crack on an external wall of our house. This crack has been the source of water ingress via a concrete lintel for many years and despite paying a few “damp” experts who claimed to have successfully fixed it, Liquid Rubber has now sorted the issue. I was in direct contact with the parent company in Ontario, Canada and they were extremely responsive and helpful.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersMy mom has an older mobile home with a flat roof and over the years, from tightening the tie downs, it creased the roof and leaks started. We’ve used many types of roof patch and some would work and some didn’t. Those that did was only a temporary fix and the leak would start again. We bought this as a last resort and coated the entire roof this summer. Not only did it go on extremely easy, knock on wood, there hasn’t been one leak since. That speaks volumes considering we went through a hurricane and a couple really wild rain and wind storms. Highly recommend this product. Amazing!!!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHad good service from Liquid Rubber online chat support, my question was to know which product could be used to reinforce my car port tarp that UV light had made ravages to (only 1 year old).

I had to cover a large installed tarp in a short amount of time, my tool of choice was my generic car paint spray gun.
Technician did a follow up promptly and suggested this product line for my use case.
    (Liquid Rubber Color Waterproof Sealant)

The product is very thick, doesn’t smell bad and doesn’t seems to have solvents fumes.

With the initial thickness it’s clearly a no go if you don’t have commercial equipment to push that stuff off.
The technician recommended a dilution of 5 to 10% of distilled water volume to help. At 5% and 45 psi, the spray gun does not allow the mix to exit. Bumping to 70-75 psi it goes out but not in an even/elegant spray.

I played around to find the sweet spot… trick #1 put the Liquid rubber container in hot tap water (65c ?) until the temperature rises evenly. Then, I found that at about 13% of distilled water per volume of Liquid rubber used is good for my hardware at 70 psi. It flows better and doesn’t run on the surfaces. Did a test with about 20% and the product flows much better but it runs on the vertical surfaces (not recommended).

1 gallon wasn’t enough for more than 1 good coat on the top surface of a 10′ x 20′ tarp installed on the frame.
I wasn’t expecting to need more than that, 2 gallons would have been better but it gets close to the price of buying a new tarp.

Take a while to dry out, follow the instructions, monitor the weather! and good luck! 🙂

** 1 year later update: worked well for winter and summer. A new coat would be required now, the UV and the wind did some damage over time and light come through some spots. **

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersMy husband and I have been using liquid rubber products for over 4 years now. It’s a great product that stands up to its name. We have used this product for:
    Coppings
    Precast chimney caps
    Decks
And all have held up great- the only time r have issues with this product is when we put it on foundations and it sometimes bubbles and flakes off- the most important thing is to make sure you get the right liquid rubber product for your project. They have many different categories depending on your use . It is expensive stuff BUT it lasts . We will continue to buy their products

I put this on my 30 yr old wooden garage door. Over the years the bottom panel has been exposed to a lot of snow which caused the door to start to erode. The stains I used in the past did nothing to stop erosion so I opted to try liquid rubber. This stuff is easy to use and goes straight on right out of the can. I first tried using roller to apply but I did not like the result so I switched to using disposable brushes. That worked well and the brushes were tossed after use. So far I have a couple of coats on. Winter hits soon and spring will tell about the durability of liquid rubber.
UPDATE: Spring has arrived and I am pleased to report that liquid rubber did the job extremely well. With only 2 coats, the door shows no signs of deterioration. Weather permitting I will add couple more coats this spring. That should complete the protection process for good. Thanks Liquid Rubber.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought 10 bags (500 lbs.) of cement to cover my leaking chimney. One bag worked at the top, around the cap, but it would NOT stick to the existing brick (I had mesh on it). I had to return the cement bags. I ordered Liquid Rubber, removed the mesh and did 2 coats. It went on just like a thick paint. The Medium Grey colour worked perfectly (made the chimney look new again). I am hoping it won’t leak, but it looks great! It applied easily and I can use it for other purposes too. It is the best and cheapest option to fix leaks. I highly recommend this stuff. UPDATE: 3 months later and NO sign of any chimney leak! I am VERY impressed. I also used it to seal a corner gutter leak – works perfectly and NO leak 3 months later! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Used it on the roof pf my barn and it works great. Only put one coat on and then painted over it to get a moore uniform look with the rest of the roof sides. I put done some bleu skin water proof membrane over the joints (because i had it handy ) cut it to 2” and then used a heavy roller to apply the product. I covered about 1200sqft with the 5 gallon pale. Got some heavy rain a few times since and dry as a bone. Very happy. I can finally move on to more projects : )

Used 4 coats of light grey colour on my interior cement block basement walls to seal out the moisture. The finished appearance looked so great, I hated to frame and cover it for a finished insulated wall. I noticed however it remained tacky and didn’t adhere on the polyurethane crack sealer areas I used prior to painting. Otherwise an excellent product.

Just finished my second coat the other day and was waiting for my first rain…:just check inside my shed after our first rainstorm after painting all my steel roof seams and screw holes….and DRY!!!! My shed space is FINALLY dry! So easy….so efficient….and I didn’t bother Cleaning up. I used an old tray, roller and brush and just discarded after the second coat! I bought the 5 gallon pail, light gray. When over the existing Olaf deteriorated tar that was remaining. First coat went good and I think it would have been fine with one but I had a ton leftover so the second coat I gave an extra think coating for peace of mind.

Would highly recommend! I’m sure you could make it the workable area look nice using this material but because it was a back shed roof I just slathered it on. The colour is great too as the metal is a light grey so it’s not as noticeable from my Raised deck On my property which is just an added bonus. Over all I would highly recommend this product for giving a roof a new life especially for the price! Great value! I still have a 1/4 of the bucket left for future projects or touch ups!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis product has conquered a leaking skylight problem that had stumped me for more than a year. Nothing else was as successful and impactful right away. It is too thick to use with spray gun but paints on with a brush very easily and covers almost anything with ease. It requires a couple days of no rain to cure. After a week I applied a second coat and all looks great this far. I live in hot sunny Florida and am applying it in December so how it will hold up through the heat of summer remains to be seen. Clean up was a breeze, it all washes out with water. I strongly recommend it.

I used this product to cover every singe screw head on the tin roofs of a storage facility. Every. Single. One. Yeah it was a lot but it was quick work to dab it on, dried quickly and most of all it works! Bought two 5 gallon tubs to cover both buildings (approximately 265ft long by 35 wide) and had half a tub leftover. Afterward I went inside one of the storage units and closed the door to see if I could still see spots of sunlight peeking through the holes… and it was pitch black! Winter has since hit and there have been no leaks. I liked it so well I purchased a 3rd tub for a second storage facility to seal spot leaks and separations in the tin roof. Definitely recommend! I’m happy I didn’t have to spend the estimated $50k to replace the roof!

Used it for sealing my 125 year stone foundation walls. Applied 3-4 coats. Dries quickly, can be applied in thick coats without extra long drying times (12-24 hours max), and seals up uneven surfaces, even with half centimeter gaps, and successive coats Very impressed. Bonds to nearly any surface, just remove light debris with a nylon wire brush.

Has the consistency of pudding and doesn’t require excessive mixing.
Highly recommend, but can’t speak to its longevity.
    Made in Canada too.

I used the liquid rubber seam tape first to go around the points where the plywood intersected then I applied the multipurpose primer and let set for 48 hours then I applied the first coat of the Liquid Rubber and let dry to touch then applied a second coat for a thicker finish and now it is setting up but it is dry to the touch already after setting for 12 hours but I will let it cure out for the 48 plus hours then I will install the tempered glass front and then give it a water test prior to moving to the house to set up for the fish. I am satisfied with the way the product adhered to the plywood and seems to be set up really well and should hold up for the use I intend to use it for.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have used the very well known waterproofer and unfortunately it was a use once until done or loose whats remaining. Now this product was not this way. Now other reviews talked about this so I took a chance. I had a basement with a cement floor that was never waterproofed and we have had a few big problems with some expensive bamboo floating flooring because of that. You would think that reputable fire and water restoration company would know if a cement floor was waterproofed or not but anyway. This product so far has taken care of our problem. Now I have only had it down on the floor for about 2 weeks but it was VERY easy to work with, was able to use over a time span of 3-4 days and dried faster then I was expecting based on the directions. I would recommend this product!

The tape stuck well on the smooth surface and it was easy to apply the liquid rubber to it.

    There are no dislikes.

I am wondering how durable the tape will be during winter.

Bought my travel trailer second hand, discovering it had a hole and a tear in the roof. liquid rubber came to the rescue and I was able to fix the roof. Now the windows started to leak, and again liquid rubber fixed the problem. Thank you!

This product is spectacular. I have used it to paint the walls of a new wooden shed. It’s a bit like painting with yoghurt , I had white, but the coverage is substantial. Totally waterproofed. I also painted the outside basement wall. Two coats gave me great coverage with easy clean up.
I thought it was a bit expensive but I have had enough to paint another shed and the outside of some wooden planters.still got some left. Once again great coverage and the rain just runs off. Well worth the cost.

I have used this product a few times. Modifications to a pond, sealing a floor in a cold cellar. And now ceiling at foundation wall in the outside. So if you want water tight, this is the product you need.
