Great piece of kit, however it didn’t come in original packaging, it came in a slightly oversized box with no protection and has little marks in places where it moved and banged about. I hadn’t received any information regarding it not being in its original box.

Couldn’t have fitted my worktops without this bad boy.

Really nice to use, safe and effortlessly glides though.

    What’s not to like.

I’m so happy about this saw, ever cut I make it’s perfect, no shredding or tearing wood.

Recently used for garden borders and it went through the pressure treated wood like a butter.

Acupanel very fragile wood, perfect cut no tearing or shredding just incredible piece of ki

Can cut in a straight line at last. Good quality. Never needed to cut for hours on end so cannot comment on whether it eats up batteries. For a DIYer like me it is more than adeuqate

Used the saw when installing substantial timber posts – it cut through them like a knife through the proverbial.

This is nice and light and really easy to do a nice and straight cut on the fly.

Upgraded my old saw and this is such a massive improvement.
    Really quiet.
    Led light.
    Accurate.
I used 3amp for 6×2 deck joists (wet) and lasted a shift.
Auto brake is something I never knew I needed but it’s nigh on instant.
Over 100 cuts with no sign of a kickback.
    Good buy

I use it with a 3.0Ah 18v battery. I first used it to saw some decking for making flowers boxes. Cut through it like a hot knife through butter. Started with a fully charged battery. Cut about 8 times still had 4 lights on the battery. Quiet compared to my electrically powered circular saw. It’s lighter and you don’t have to bother about extension cables or constantly being concerned with cable getting in the way. The only question is why the **** didn’t l buy it long before now

This is an excellent circular saw.
Made light work of a fencing job.
Easy to use and very accurate.
The electric brake stops the blade almost instantly, a great safety feature. You cannot go wrong with Makita LXT tools.
    Very happy.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI bought this saw to trim all the doors in our house after having new flooring put down. With the correct blade this saw has made light work of it, giving a great finish every time so far. The atachment for the hoover is great and works well, when you remember to turn the hoover on. I’ve also used this for cuting and mitring skirting boards and the 45 setting is very accurate. Overall I’m really pleased with it.

Fantastic piece of kit. I had an old Ryobi 240v circular saw that was very cumbersome, this is light and cuts with ease. Handy for taking to the timber merchants to cut down pieces onsite

Cordless is brilliant. Using a conventional slog saw was always a bit scary, always worrying about the cable. Excellent saw blade, fine cut and smooth running. Light and easy to handle. Very pleased with my purchase. Love Makita cordless tools.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersConsidered a number of brands before I decided that Makita is a brand quality worth paying for. I particularly like that they use the same batteries across most of their power tools. This saw is lightweight and well balanced, powerful and with a good battery life. The batteries feel a little overpriced but I’m glad now that I spent the extra to get Makita quality. I made a simple jig to do mitres, which means I can wait a little longer for a chop saw. Very good product.

Saves tons of time. No looking for someplace to plug in near to where you want to use it and more than powerful enough for trim work. Even ok for light framing though a different blade would make it better still
