Great saw
Great piece of kit, however it didn’t come in original packaging, it came in a slightly oversized box with no protection and has little marks in places where it moved and banged about. I hadn’t received any information regarding it not being in its original box.
Truly superb.
Couldn’t have fitted my worktops without this bad boy.
Really nice to use, safe and effortlessly glides though.
What’s not to like.
Best saw eve
I’m so happy about this saw, ever cut I make it’s perfect, no shredding or tearing wood.
Recently used for garden borders and it went through the pressure treated wood like a butter.
Acupanel very fragile wood, perfect cut no tearing or shredding just incredible piece of ki
Cuts like a hot knife through butte
Can cut in a straight line at last. Good quality. Never needed to cut for hours on end so cannot comment on whether it eats up batteries. For a DIYer like me it is more than adeuqate
It’s a beast!
Used the saw when installing substantial timber posts – it cut through them like a knife through the proverbial.
Cuts through timber like a hot knife through butte
This is nice and light and really easy to do a nice and straight cut on the fly.
Fantastic
Upgraded my old saw and this is such a massive improvement.
Really quiet.
Led light.
Accurate.
I used 3amp for 6×2 deck joists (wet) and lasted a shift.
Auto brake is something I never knew I needed but it’s nigh on instant.
Over 100 cuts with no sign of a kickback.
Good buy
Circular saw

Excellent battery life 5ah
Cut through 15 scaffold boards 3times each
and still have 3 bars on the battery
My aim is to replace all my plug in tools with cordless ones using the same batteries.
Great product,i am a gobby carpenter and get fed up with running extention leads outside, this cures that instantly.
Excelle
Excellent bit of kit , thought the case came with but didn’
Excellent machine
I use it with a 3.0Ah 18v battery. I first used it to saw some decking for making flowers boxes. Cut through it like a hot knife through butter. Started with a fully charged battery. Cut about 8 times still had 4 lights on the battery. Quiet compared to my electrically powered circular saw. It’s lighter and you don’t have to bother about extension cables or constantly being concerned with cable getting in the way. The only question is why the **** didn’t l buy it long before now

Excellent saw
This is an excellent circular saw.
Made light work of a fencing job.
Easy to use and very accurate.
The electric brake stops the blade almost instantly, a great safety feature. You cannot go wrong with Makita LXT tools.
Very happy.

Purchased this makita circular saw to trim and hang three new doors.
Top quality item. The guide rail does an accurate job. End of the day, you get what you pay for.
Amazing Tool
Having used this saw before, I knew I wanted my own. So easy to use and very accurate.
The price is the best around too (110). I work for a reputable tool company and I couldn’t get the saw at this price!
Top saw
Better than my corded saw was, just what you’d expect from Makita
I like Makita!
1 battery for many tools. money and space saver. brand you can trust
handy to use for all small and medium jobs around household
brillia
bought this for my husband he loves it…easy to use
I bought this saw to trim all the doors in our house after having new flooring put down. With the correct blade this saw has made light work of it, giving a great finish every time so far. The atachment for the hoover is great and works well, when you remember to turn the hoover on. I’ve also used this for cuting and mitring skirting boards and the 45 setting is very accurate. Overall I’m really pleased with it.

Must have!
Fantastic piece of kit. I had an old Ryobi 240v circular saw that was very cumbersome, this is light and cuts with ease. Handy for taking to the timber merchants to cut down pieces onsite

Excellent light and powerful saw.
Cordless is brilliant. Using a conventional slog saw was always a bit scary, always worrying about the cable. Excellent saw blade, fine cut and smooth running. Light and easy to handle. Very pleased with my purchase. Love Makita cordless tools.

Well built, easy to use, tough. Excelle
Absolutely love this tool. I’ve stopped using a handsaw altogether as this is so light and easy to pick up. It gives an accurate cut with an led working light and even blows dust away from the cutting line. Well built, surprisingly powerful and versatile.
Well received birthday prese
Got this for my makita obsessed dad and he LOVES it ! He wants the whole range
Considered a number of brands before I decided that Makita is a brand quality worth paying for. I particularly like that they use the same batteries across most of their power tools. This saw is lightweight and well balanced, powerful and with a good battery life. The batteries feel a little overpriced but I’m glad now that I spent the extra to get Makita quality. I made a simple jig to do mitres, which means I can wait a little longer for a chop saw. Very good product.

Great for a DIYe
Purchased this primarily to go through some solid oak kitchen worktops. I purchased an additional blade for the job (slightly smaller kerf and finer teeth). It cut through the worktop like butter and performaced far better than I ever expected. I had the added benefit of being able to use batteries from my LXT combi-drill. I was pleasantly suprised by how quiet it is compared to mains powered cirucular saws. The electronic break is also a nice feature.
It’s too early to tell how well it performs long-term on a 3ah battery but I found multiple cuts quick, clean and easy. The finish with right blade installed was so clean that it hardly needed any cleanup. I would strongly recommend this product and I will be making good use of this for future projects.
Very handy
Saves tons of time. No looking for someplace to plug in near to where you want to use it and more than powerful enough for trim work. Even ok for light framing though a different blade would make it better still

Ive only so far used the saw for a few cuts but i must say im impressed with the build quality. Low noise weight isnt a issue ,the standard saw blade it comes with did nice smooth cuts and went through the 2×4 Iike cutting through butter. the test will be the ply wood that needd sizeing down , reason i bought it for long cuts

Awesome circular saw!
Brilliant tool. All DIY projects done without cables. Handy for outside jobs. Small but powerful. I have couple tools from MAKITA. Decent battery life.
Great value for money
Cuts through ply sheets with ease. Easy to handle everything I expected from it. It’s only limitation is the battery life, so be sure to have a spare charged up if you’re away from a mains supply.m with lots to do.

Love i
Bought for small domestic jobs and cutting up pallets for a garden project. It goes through pallets like a hot knife through butter. Not too heavy and battery life (bought separately) from a 5h was over two hours. Nifty.

Has a lot more power than you would think, and being left handed I don’t get dust all over me

ice weight good feel cuts grea
You need this. nice weight good feel cuts great. been using circular saw for 20 years and this one is my favorite.
Best saw eve
Really brilliant. You’ll never go back to a heavy pressed-plate wired cheapo again. So light, accurate and will last a tradesman a long time and a DIY’er for life if looked after.

This is an excellent circular saw, I much prefer it to my mains powered circular saw. The DSS610 has the electronic brake which is a great safety feature and stops the saw spinning almost instantly, unlike the cheaper DSS611, which despite being a later model number, is just a cut-down version of the DSS610. The DSS610 alo has the light and dust blower that the DSS611 lacks and these are very useful, especially in darker environments. As a right-handed person, having the blade to the left of the motor makes this so much easier to use as I can see exactly where the blade is cutting at all times. This saw is also pretty quiet for a circular saw, I’ve mainly used it for cutting sheet goods up to 18mm so far but it goes through like butter. It’s also great that it’s portable as I can cut wood down to fit in my car wherever I buy it from, It comes with a blade but no dust bag. Also remember the Z is the bare version with no battery which is great if you already own any Makita LXT tools.
The acid test is; would I buy this again – definitely.

super handy too
super handy tool, just right to do those little jobs without getting a corded tool out. Needs a good battery mind.
Makita
Love this saw, cordless, very quiet to run, square out of the box, solid base plate. Would recommend this tool
Another brilliant Makita saw. Cordless so I can use away from power sources. NOTE not as gutsy as a mains saw. so cutting through a 3 inch thing is tricky, cutting thru a half inch sheet of something is simple. Makita just make the best stuff, I will not buy anything else.

Fantastic product - highly recommended
This is a fantastic cordless circular saw. I’m delighted with my purchase.
Fantastic saw, makes life so much easie
Fantastic saw, makes life so much easier and love not having power cables getting in the way.
Mega Makita
Love Makita. Love the 18v stuff. Looking for a saw? Get this one. Cuts effortlessly. I’ve only used it a few times – but it made mincemeat of the boards I was cutting. Lightweight, easy to use. Brilliant.
