Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersQualit prezzo penso sia il migliore, ne ho avuti altri a motore a scoppiio ma la maneggevolezzae e la potenza di taglio di questo utensile sono sicuramente ottimi, come ”elettrico” il meglio che si pu trovare a questo prezzo.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersQuite and well balanced
Never going back to 2 stroke with the noise and fumes and wondering if it will start
We have 300m of hedging which is always done in stages
When the battery runs out you need a rest anyway!
Makita has always been a quality product and the price reflects this
We have varied hedging thickness but it copes as well as our good quality Japanese 2 stroke

Heavy if used without the shoulder strap and needs a firm grip.
With the strap it is well balanced and cuts effortlessy at any angle with the adjustable head.
Very powerful and could cut deep into lighter hedges like privet if not used gently.

Releasing the safety switch means you have to switch the motor back on constantly, but it’s ‘workable’ once used to it otherwise it’s up to the usual high standard of Makita gea

This is a serious bit of kit, that is easily as good as a petrol cutter. I’ve used it to cut back some thick bramble bush that caused a top spec Greenworks cutter to repeatedly jam and eventually burnout

Weight distribution is perfect, battery life is fantastic (10meters of thick bramble and still going strong on a 3ah battery)

The motor on my previous one died after just one year! A tooth has broken on my new one after only a couple of months!
However they are light and well balanced. I have used mine for two hours no stop and not suffered neck or arm ache.
Overall good for low to medium work; not heavy duty

Having used this for a month now – I’m convinced cordless hedge trimming is the way to go! No leads hanging down in the way and no petrol or oil filling – this device really is well balanced, lightweight and portable.
Makita quality: Sharp cutting edges and good battery life for the 5.0ah when fully charged make this a great tool.I have 150 feet of hedging and it’s great for trimming at waist and above head height for stems up to 1/2 inch thick (no thicker mind you…it is for trimming!!) Great for tree clipping too.NB Battery is 75.

I have a lot of hedges and shrubs to maintain. I own petrol and battery powered hedge trimmers, they do the job but it’s hard work.
This pole trimmer makes the job so much easier, it’s lighter, quieter, no smell, no cable, no fuel, and has the power to do the job. A long reach means less stretching with weighty machines, and less time on ladders or platforms.
Batteries have come a long way and the 18v LXT 5Ah Li-ion that I use with this has plenty of power and lasts a long time.
Highly recommended if you want an easier life.

The Makita included Nylon string is strong.

Tool is exactly what i was expecting just a shame Hermes did not keep me informed on why it took so long to arrive, but that does seem to be common in this area.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMakita make great tools and this is no exception
Strong and well balanced hedgecutter. Not too heavy. Perfect for those difficult to reach areas.
Run time on a 3.0 Ah battery was adequate. Have since purchased a 5.0 Ah battery which just goes on and on!

The product is very easy to use ~ perfectly balanced as the heavier components are closer to your arms, thus making the extended cutter to remain lighter end. The Mikita brand of quality can be noted in its functionality. The standard 18V battery product can be shared by the proprietary Mikita chain of product. Excellent!!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIm a landowner used to cutting large hedges i use petrol pole trimmers too.
Decided wanted lighter cleaner cutter having got many lxt batteries.
Used this with 4 and 5 amp batteries at full speed I genuinely get 50 mins use and cuts 15 to 20 mmm branches
Will only use petrol cutters on heavier stuff .
    Well worth money !

Very easy to use, versatile, efficient, and relatively lightweight with various efficient safety features built in.

We have 3 or 4 different types of hedging around the front and rear gardens, all of which required some severe chopping ,which many people seriously into gardening refer to as topiary.

This beastie sorted it all, no problem whatsoever, and the fact I already have half a dozen 18v 5 & 6Ah Makita batteries for other tools means it’s a breeze to simply slot another one in when the speed starts to fade a little, so no leads to get wet, or to trip over.

    Relatively expensive, but highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersOnly used this the once and I can honestly say that if it carry’s on the way it cut down the thick hedge in the photo then it is well worth the extra money…..used 5.0ah batteries and they last for ages…..it had safety features and different speed settings….all in all really happy with my purchase

    So pleased with this tool

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought on the back of a youtube review, and the glowing reviews here, though Amazon as was out of stock at time of purchase, Very solidly built without being top heavy (which can happed when the gear box is at the end of the shaft behind the blade. Used so far on privet, laurel conifer and thicker holly (about 1/3rd”). Good gapping between the teeth of the blades which are v sharp. I would say it cuts as well and as fast as the Stihl HL94C I hired, and with probably 70/80 per cent of its robustness. Would highly recommend to jobbing gardeners as a semi professional tool. Good battery life especially with 5aH.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe difference in quality between this and the cheap sub 100 ones I have been using over the years is remarkable. Cutting hedges is suddenly enjoyable.

I use the 5.0Ah 18V Lithium Ion batteries – I already had two because of the power tools I use – and they just powered through everything. My old trimmers needed recharging every 20 minutes and took a day to recharge so cutting our hedges took me 5 days! This way it was all done in an hour.

No point going on about the rest of it, its all well documented here by others.
