The XGT range of tools and batteries have a built-in program that provides digital communication between the battery and the tool, allowing for the battery not only to talk with the tool but also for the tool to talk to the battery.

The RS001GZ cordless 185mm Circular Saw is powered by 40V Max Li-ion XGT battery (not included), to supply energy to the powerful 40V brushless motor, with soft start for smooth start-ups, to deliver up to 6,400 rpm for continuously performing heavy duty, faster cutting.
The RS001GZ is equipped with a magnesium die cast base with rear handle, lock-off safety trigger and electric brake for increased operator safety.
The RS001GZ has a large cutting capacity of 65mm at 90 degrees and bevel capacity of 90 degrees to 53 degrees with positive stops at 22.5 degrees and 45 degrees and a 53 degree maximum bevel capacity.

La meccanica e’ piuttosto solida con leveraggi in metallo. E’ possibile regolare lo zero (tramite vite a brgola)
La lama Makita e’ molto sottile (1.45mm) e taglia come un rasoio
Nel mio esemplare sembra che lo stampo della base (in magnesio) non fosse perfettamente riuscito, un angolo nella parte interna non era sullo stesso piano del resto.
Le recensioni sono miste e alla fine l’ho restituita. Non conosco bene il motivo per le recensioni a 3 o 2 stelle che non si vedono… piu’

Die 65mm Schnitttiefe ist beeindruckend und deckt ein breites Spektrum an Anwendungen ab. Das Gert liegt gut in der Hand, und die przise Schnittfhrung macht das Arbeiten zum Vergngen. Makitas Qualitt und Zuverlssigkeit sind, wie gewohnt, erstklassig. Ein Muss fr jeden, der Wert auf leistungsstarke, kabellose Werkzeuge legt.
I like the saw I many cut sheet or worktop I’m not doing roof work any more might be a little small for rafter work but will cut a 6×2 happily enough. Comfortable to hold I prefer the American screw type saws so prefer this to my other circular saws. The build is good I’m happy with it I used it to fit 16 worktops in classrooms the other day didn’t miss a beat. Yes would recommend
