Well made, safe, effective product. I only ever need use one bar to heat my small office (I work at home) rather than keep the central heating on. Oh and the dogs love it! It also gives a warm, orange fire-like glow lovely for an evening.

Since I purchased this heater I’ve only used it a few times, but I have been very happy with the heat it gives out.

I don’t like the plastic casing. Otherwise sturdy metal grill, allowing all round heat when oscillating.

A powerful heater that makes a difference as soon as you turn it on. The oscillation feature is invaluable for that extra bit of coverage — and there are two oscillation options, 120 and 360. Easily the best heater that I have ever bought.

And so good that I now have a second one 🙂

The second heater I ordered was defective but the maker and Amazon sorted it out very quickly and I now have a good one. Great heater.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is just the job. I needed a lowish output heater (350 watts) to warm my feet and lower legs while at my computer, and this is ideal. The oscillation of the heater element, of 120 (or 360 degrees), distributes heat evenly. It also has a 700 watt levels, for those colder days. A pleasing, modern design, in black, makes this the go-to appliance for me. Build quality is high.

Really liking my new heater. Works well both in my greenhouse and outside when I’m tending my bonsai. Nice and light to move around whenever needed. Brilliant!

As we all know British summer especially this year was none existent, so we popped our gazebo on the decking and just needed a little bit of heat to make us feel like we actually do have a nice weather.
This 1200W oscillating patio heater is definitely the missing piece we needed. I love the fact that it moves around and spreads the heat equally around the area where we sit and doesn’t just do it in one direction.
We wen’t for the larger one and for a space of 3×2.5 metres this is plenty. It makes you feel nice and toasty even during slightly colder nights – around 10 degrees outside the other day.

The price is really worth paying and as this isn’t a huge device it is easy to store away once you’re done with it and even if you leave it out, the design is pleasant and looks good in the corner whilst not in use.

So far having used it most evenings we’ve had zero issues with it and already our neighbours purchased one for their garden! Highly recommended.

Not needed to use it for the purpose of heating as it still summer and we have had great weather. However, I did use it for a short time and the lighting looks great at night so will be great during the night at winter when most people use heater especially in the U.K The heater heats you directly instead of blowing air around you, this is the way infared heaters usually works and this is fine with me.

I have been getting a bit of use from this now the nights have been cooler. It is a compact unit – about 56cm high and 23cm wide. It is light enough to carry around and it works well sat on the table or on the floor. The safety features are good – and it is cool to the touch, so it is safe enough to have around children. The running costs are not extortionate – but obviously you have to connect it to the mains.

Overall: a easy solution to patio heating – easy to set up and use.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a good patio heater. It’s light, it looks really smart and modern in a black finish, also comes in white, it’s compact in other words it’s not huge, it’s water resistant to IPX4 which means it’s resistant to water splashes from all directions which is great for us as I’m always splashing the dogs with my feet from the small pool. Now I won’t test it for that and will take the manufacturer’s word for it, it looks water resistant anyway with the enclosed heating bars. This patio heater is basically a cylindrical unit that stands about two foot high, is about a foot across. I’m not being exact here, and the unit stands on it’s self direct to the patio. By the way, there are three versions available, SMALL, MEDIUM and LARGE. This is the HF55 model which is the medium size and doesn’t have an attachable base, the next one up which is the largest version does. It comes with a fairly generous thick power lead with a standard three pin plug. You will probably need a power lead extension to attach to the accompanying lead if using outside, which after all is what it is designed for. The unit doesn’t direct heat downwards or by conduction so the heat will not travel through the unit and hit the patio itself, so no cracked tiles. There is a grill at the front that does heat up but obviously you are not going to deliberately touch it. Turning the controls off quickly dissipates the heat anyway. The controls on the top of this unit are clear and easy to read. There are two large flattish knobs on the top. One operates the heat output, 600W or 1200W. I find this knob quite difficult to turn despite the helpful nodule on the knob. Why this is I’m not sure, I’m probably having an off day from my usual Mr Universe self. The other knob is much more pliable and has four settings, well five if you include the OFF resting position. Two settings to the left and two settings to the right. The settings on the right are for OSCILLATING mode either to LOW – 120 degrees or HIGH – 360 degrees, and the settings on the left are for non oscillating mode LOW or HIGH. There is no actual separate ON/OFF power button. That’s obviously taken care of with the controls that are there. The slim manual is quite comprehensive and explains everything, oh and you don’t need a microscope to read it. Switching the controls to the required settings you can see the bars light up, and the elements move around if oscillating setting is on. The likelihood of knocking this unit over is very slim but if you do then it checks itself and turns itself off. This heater comes with a fairly robust and waterproof drawstring bag. So you can either slip the bag over the heater and just leave it, or place the heater in the bag, after cooling down of course, and stow away somewhere. So in summary, a good all round patio heater that gives out a great heatlooks great, is light but sturdily built, and to me looks quite safe in all respects. At 100 it’s a bit pricey but you do get what you pay for. 5 stars.

The power lead is fairly long but you will probably also need an extension cord.

This works great placed on my garden dining table. It gives out enough heat for 4 people sitting around it, although didn’t feel the heat was so good when placed on the floor. Quick and easy to get going with two handy settings. We did find it became too hot after a while so dropped to the lower setting. Nit too bulky or obtrusive, much nicer for a smaller patio than the large post ones. Does the job at a great price. Cones with a cover too , another nice little touch

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNice; works very well and has a good feature set.

Standing roughly knee high, it’s made of fairly solid plastic, and is lightweight. The parabolic mirrors behind each of the two heating elements do a good job of focussing the heat in the direction it’s facing.

In a similar manner to a cooling fan, the heater can be set to rotate, either 120′, or 360′ all the way around. The controls are slightly unintuitive. The power (600W or 1200W) is set by a rotary selector ‘low’ or ‘high’; the same selector is used to select the power required but this time with rotation. The other rotary selector simply controls whether the oscillation is 120′ or 360′. It works, but seems an odd way to do it.

The overall build and finish is pretty good. The IPX4 rating is a nice to have, though I can’t say I’ve wanted to test it(!). IPX4 means protection from splashing water from any direction.

The grille over the heating elements is covered in what the description describes as ‘floss’. Perhaps that was a typo; it’s a flock like coating, and it does indeed prevent the grille from becoming super hot, though they do get uncomfortably hot – you (probably) wouldn’t burn yourself, but you wouldn’t leave your hand there either.

The tip protection switch works, and one of the things I notice with this is that it cools down remarkably quickly after it turns off.

Included is a oxford fabric cover. Presumably the intent is therefore that one could leave it outside – perhaps in a less exposed area, though it’s so light and easy to set up that I’m keeping mine away from the elements indoors.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI’ve only got a small patio area and this Martello heater is just the right size to use in the evenings, its been placed on my patio table and provides enough warmth so that I can spend longer out, even when it’s chilly around me. Currently priced at 99.95, this offers very good value for money, top marks for the quality and effectiveness of the heater plus I’m liking the additional features, I’ll explain them in a little while. Very happy to recommend.

    This is what I liked:

    Provides adequate warmth
IPX4 rating, no need to panic when it rains
Cool to the touch, great if you’ve kids around
    2 heat settings
    Adjustable oscillation
    Safety cut off if tilted
    Good build quality
    Easy to use
    Good value for money

    Recommended – Worth Buying

I do have a patio heater but it’s a big thing which was given to me and it takes up too much space and lots of electric, 2kw I think it is so I tend not to have it on. This compact unit, measuring only 56cm high and 23cm across sits nicely on my table in the garden and allows me to spend longer outside in the evenings.

This patio heater comes supplied with a storage bad which I use to cover it up when not in use. The build quality is extremely good, nice finishing all over and has a bit of weight to it at around the 3kg mark, although this isn’t heavy when compared to my other patio heater, this is a lightweight in comparison. The mains power lead is nearly 2m long, 1.8 to be precise, this is long enough to attach to my external power point on the patio.

Using it is straight forward, I like that if it’s tilted or knocked over then the power to the heating element is terminated, as I have children and cats then this feature is the major selling point above all else. I can select low or high heat setting, at the moment I’m finding this is adequate set on low, it’s Summer after all! Having this on low uses only 600W of electric, that’s nearly a quarter of the power of having a kettle on! I can have it on full power but then it will double the power consumption, having said that, it’s far more energy efficient than my old patio heater and more effective at giving out warmth.

The two oscillation settings is useful if I have a few friends round in the evening, I can select it to 360 or 120 degree movement thus sharing out the heat, on my own I just have it fixed on me.

I forgot to mention earlier, the front grill is cool to the touch, amazing as that may seem but it’s true, that’s down to the heating element radiating the heat via infrared, it’s like a beam of sorts, the air around it isn’t heated up just whatever object the light is focused on, which is normally me chilled out in my chair!

Overall, this is a top quality patio heater which is most suitable for small areas, I’m very pleased with it and am more than happy to recommend it!

    A 5 Star Product!
