eally good game with an excellent story and dialogue. its just like watching guardians only a tv series version. combat system is unique and takes a little bit of getting used to. but once you get the flow of it the game is very enjoyable and took me by surprise.
A really fun and refreshing superhero game – no microtransactions, dialogue options and choices that affect the story and really well written and voice acted characters. If you enjoy superhero games and (or) RPG games then you’ll love this!
I got this game from amazon as its cheaper then second hand at cex and its new.
I had to read up on instalation of the game as seems like it has errors on xbox.
Mine failed to install with Internet to start with.
Then when was done wouldn’t update, just kept glitching and closing.
Wouldn’t show me any of my other updates which I had seen previously.
very strange.
Just delete it.
Update anything you have in your needed updates already.
And then reinstall game with Internet should install and update at same time.
Don’t know why but alot of Google reviews said this and it worked.
Game its self is good and for price it is now defo worth it.
So this game has been bashed a lot since release. The graphics are superb. The story for the campaign is good, and the free DLC stories aren’t bad. But the game is still plagued by bugs, many which are game breaking, and it seem Crystal Dynamics/Square Enix don’t care enough to fix it. It needs more characters, more story, and above all, mega fixes.
Saying all that, I find it an enjoyable play. I’ve certainly played far worse games. Once the game is fixed, and tonnes of content is added, it’ll be a great game.
Honestly I purchased this not expecting much thinking it would be like the launch of Star Wars battlefront 2 with lots of micro transactions which none are necessary however about half the characters in the campaign are more annoying than a crying baby e.g ms marvel and Tony stark but other than these two 10/10. This game is better than said by a lot of people
I nearly got this game a year ago but heard a lot of bad stuff so held off. It recently dropped to a very good price so I went for it.
I have to say it is a pleasant surprise. The game comes with the original campaign plus 2 free expansions and has a heck of a lot of content for the single player gamer like me (I was a expecting bare bones “live service” story content).
The game itself looks and runs wonderfully on Series X. It has had a free upgrade and it really looks good.
In terms of gameplay, it’s pretty fun. You play as various marvel characters, with their own skills and combat abilities. Each campaign centres a round a core character, those being Miss Marvel (Kamala Kahn), West Coast Hawkeye (Kate Bishop) and Hawkeye (Clint Barton), with various other characters being playable in different missions.
The story is pretty fun, very enjoyable for comics fans and centres around the The Inhumans.
Overall I’m quietly impressed. It’s not world beating but it’s decent and easily worth the budget price.
This game gets more hate then it deserves. Certainly it’s not a perfect game but lots of the bugs have been fixed and each character feels unique and is well done with little details that make each character unique in their play styles. I suggest at least giving the campaign a try. Crystal Dynamics does a great job in that department.
Despite the mixed reviews I’ve got to admit that personally I love this game , played it on PS4 when it was first released and bought it again for Xbox series x . Excellent purchase.
My son loves this game, he says it’s that good that he just can’t stop playing it! When he completed it he couldn’t resist playing it all over again, thank you Amazon another good job done.
The story is absolutely amazing. End game content?… ehh… meh. After a while it becomes extremely repetitive doing the same thing over and over again. However after time theirs free updates adding more content. The campaign isn’t very long, about 10 hours long. Is it worth it? It depends how you like to play, if you’re her for end game content you will be disappointed as off right now, if you’re here for the campaign it’s amazing.
Reparative and difficult to stick with. If you like me game for 4/5 hours a go this is going to be difficult for you. It’s just doing the exact same thing over and over again. Not the most imaginative game I’ve ever played.
My son loves this game. Great that the settings can be changed to easier mode for younger kids . Although the age rating is 16 plus I feel this is marketed to younger kids too as is marvel which a lot of kids love. I can’t see anything major why I wouldn’t let my son use the game haven’t heard any swearing but it obviously it is violent.
My son uses the game and enjoys it and I actually would Probally prefer him playing this to fortnite/Roblox or other popular games for young children .
Not so great that spider man isn’t on the Xbox version but understand why. Also the characters don’t look like the actors in the film. Takes a while to load too but On the whole would recommended the game particularly if your a marvel fa
I know it says 16 Age, but my 5 years old son loves it, and especially on the easiest difficulty level this game does not punish the player, though he needs help on leveling up and items in the game. And I think the micro-transaction is a rip-off specially when the game cost 50 already. I play on the casual Medium difficulty setting and its great fun.
The graphic is good, but the current generation of console is showing its age, even on the Xbox One X as this game has poor framerate running at 4K (game does offer a Performance Mode with 1080p at 60hz, but on a 4K screen, its too blurry), and few graphical glitches, such as on hairs. This game also future compatible with Xbox Serius X, so lets hope by launch I can keep this game for its graphicle potential.
Pre-ordered. Additional codes were sent in advance so everything was ready to go once the game arrived.
Son has played it all weekend and is enjoying it.
I was a little unsure what to think of this game at first but I’m so glad I bought it as it’s quite amazing! The story is epic from beginning to end, very cinematic in the way it plays out, there is always plenty of action throughout which also feels very cinematic! It helps that the graphics are amazing and all the visuals look great, I didn’t like the look of the newly designed characters when I first saw them in trailers but once you play they grow on you pretty quick and I like their individual attributes to the game with funny dialogue etc very similar to the movies but different at the same time! The Hulk is by far my favourite in the game, it’s so much fun jumping around smashing things! He’s certainly more fun than the boring movie version who was absent from the last 2! The new character Kamala Khan is also very cool, she displays some epic powers and abilities, as you progress through the game you will unlock each character at certain points and be able to switch between and choose which plays what mission, the game plays in third person view all the time, the characters have many moves which are easy to master, you may forget the odd one as your switching every now and again but you always soon remember, the games story gets more epic as it progresses and you face some classics villains throughout, the final boss fight is amazing! One of the most badass boss fights ever! your character will start low and as you progress you will add new armour and skills to get powerful, if your a Marvel fan and love the Avengers it’s a must! its probably the best Marvel franchise game ever made, certainly better and more original than the Endgame movie plot!
The game can be played from Easy to Hard.
Most achievements are obtained in one play through but you will have to continue after through multiplayer and other side missions you’ve not done to rank more characters!
You get to unlock customisation gear as you play or you can buy some extra stuff in the store by using coins you earn or you can spend real money buying packs of in-game coins!
Marvels Avengers is an action-adventure video game inspired by a combination of the comics and Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The story opens on A-Day – a yearly celebration to the Avengers – and you initially take on the role of Kamala Khan, a huge fan of superheroes with an encyclopedic knowledge of their world. As one of the finalists of a fan-fiction competition you have been invited to the event and attend along with your father.
Unfortunately things take a turn for the worse when the Golden Gate bridge is attacked by terrorists, forcing the Avengers to respond, however the attack proves to be a distraction designed to lure the Avengers away from the Chimera Helecarrier where an experimental mineral named “Terrigen” is being stored. The Helecarrier is destroyed, with the Terrigen being released in gaseous form, destroying a large part of the city, killing thousands and mutating thousands more into beings with fantastic powers.
In the aftermath of the destruction a public inquiry is held and the Avengers outlawed after they are considered a threat. In their place a new organisation called Advanced Idea Mechanics is created by one of the survivors of the disaster – George Tarlton – who promises to create a world that no longer needs super heroes to maintain the peace and protect the people, releasing thousands of robotic drones onto the streets as peacekeepers whilst interring those “Inhumans” mutated by the Terrigen mists in captivity for their own “safety” whilst secretly experimenting on them to create a new breed of programmable super soldiers and effectively creating a police state which the entire city now lives under.
As Kamala you are hiding the fact that you too have gained super powers which you are hiding from your family, the public (who have developed an innate fear and hatred of super powered beings), and the authorities that are looking to incarcerate your kind. That is until one day you come into possession of secret files obtained from the Stark Industries servers on the day of the disaster that prove it was not the act of arrogance on the behalf of the Avengers that the general public believe it to be, but was in fact a deliberate act of sabotage by Dr Tarlton and his associates designed to give them free reign to usher in their new regime whilst removing the one group of people who could stop them.
After your powers are outed whilst defending a boy in the park from a gang of drunken youths, you find yourself as an outlaw, on the run from the forces of A.I.M, and hit the road to search for the last suspected resistance cell in the hope of joining up with them, reassembling the Avengers and clearing their name, and stopping the real threat once and for all.
Game play is presented from a third-person perspective and offers both a single player campaign and multiplayer options. The initial playable characters are Captain America, Iron-man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and Kamala (Ms Marvel), with more to be added as downloadable content in the months ahead, including Hawkeye (Clint Barton and Kate Bishop) and Spider-man (PS4 exclusive) having already been announced.
There are also a wide range of supporting characters that should be familiar to Marvel fans, such as Nick Fury, Jimmy Woo, Dum-Dum Dugan, Hank Pym and Maria Hill, as well as numerous well known Avengers foes such as Taskmaster and the Abomination who usually appear as end of level bad guys.
Each character has a wide range of moves and abilities available to them, from basic light and hard attacks, take downs, ranged attacks, counters, and special moves, with some characters such as Iron-man also being able to engage in flight and air born combat, and the manner in which these moves work is unique to each character.
Iron-man for example makes wide use of his repulsor technology and other armour systems, where as Cap favours the use of acrobatics and shield-slinging. Black Widow can utilize her firearms, widows bite, grappling hook, and electro-batons, whilst the Hulk uses pure brute force such as his “thunder clap” and ability to lift and thrown large objects or scatter whole groups of enemies with area effect attacks. Thor has a series of lightning and hammer based attacks, whilst Ms Marvel can “embiggen” herself and his enemies from range with her elongated limbs.
There are a variety of enemies that you can face at any one time, from basic grunts (close and ranged combat versions), shield-bearers that require you to break their guard before you can damage them, flying drones, automated gun positions, and massive brute-type enemies that can soak up the damage whilst unleashing devastating attacks of their own. Combat is fluid and exciting with success usually being down to your ability to use the right abilities and powers against the right enemies, with numerous different enemies appearing on the screen at the same time.
The first thing you notice about the game is just how good it looks. Graphics, sound, and voice acting are generally excellent, and a lot of effort has been put into the various environments which include many interactive elements that really enhance the feeling that you’re living in the world of the Avengers.
This is apparent from the first scene as Kamala walks around the Avengers fan convention participating in interactive games where she can attempt to lift Thor’s hammer and fire Black Widow’s wrist blasters in order to earn special addition comic books and get herself a VIP seat to the event. This is a level of detail that is maintained throughout the game in places such as Kamala’s bedroom where you can view her Avengers posters and memorabilia as clearly as if they were on your own wall, or in her secret hide out filled with full sized cardboard cut outs of her favourite Avengers. Environments are also littered with Easter eggs and other collectables that only enhance the immersive experience.
Prior to release there were concerns by some fans as to why the game was to rotate around Kamala’s character. She’s never appeared in the MCU, is a relatively new character, has never been a full Avengers member in the comics, and many people considered her a strange choice and made allegations of “pandering” in light of her status as a young, female Muslim – claiming that a character such as Spider-man would have been a much better and more organic choice. Let me assure you though that any such concerns are put to bed almost immediately and there is no doubt at all that Kamala was the right character to fill this role of young apprentice.
Outside of the main campaign you can also access the “Avengers Initiative” from the main menu, which places you on a SHIELD Helicarrier and from where you can access things like multiplayer and the HARM (Holographic Augmented Reality Machine) training suite, war table missions that can be played either multi-player are single player with AI companions, and purchase upgrades and cosmetic items to change your characters appearance.
As good as the story and game play are, the game is not without it’s problems.
First among these is the fact that the game requires a massive download and day 1 update before you can even play it. My game arrived late in the day from Amazon (1830pm) and then it was another three or so hours of updates before I could play the thing, which kind of makes a mockery out of pre-ordering so that you can enjoy a product on the day of release.
There are plenty confirmed bugs too, including crashes on loading/saving screens, unlockables suddenly being locked and unavailable again, and a doozy of a glitch where your characters “fall out of the world” when accessing the Avengers Initiative menu, meaning at the moment I can’t access that part of the game at all. The publisher is aware of most of these bugs and is actively working for solutions, so hopefully there will be a fix soon, but it’s another example of a company essentially using it’s paying customers as beta testers and releasing a product that isn’t quite finished or hasn’t been properly tested and is extremely frustrating.
Another problem for me personally is that whilst the game doesn’t exactly utilize the increasingly popular “pay to play” formula (you do have a fully formed game here), most of the extras require financial transactions and those transactions are not exactly cheap, needing to be paid for with credits that have to be purchased from the store.
To put this in perspective 2000 credits is going to cost you 15.99 to purchase, but a single costume can cost anywhere up to 1400 credits to obtain, an emote 1000 credits, or a new move for your character 1200 credits. It’s clearly a rather cynical system designed to keep fans paying for a game they’ve already shelled out a substantial amount for and intended to take full advantage of the fact that every fan has their own particular favourites, and potentially it’s a game that you might never stop paying for – and lets be honest, a lot of those default costumes are a little bit sucky!
Despite these faults you do have a really good game here that will only get better when they finally iron the creases out of it, and it’s well worth a pick up if you’re a fan of either the films or comics – just keep an eye on your wallet once you do!
Brilliant game takes some working out, graphically good, linear campaign but u will love every minute
Se mando la versin de xbox one, no la de series x, sin embargo tiene la opcin de smart delivery, as que sin problema
It was a gift for my son I seem to play on it more than he does and now it on the game pass.
If you love the movies you will love this, highly recommended.
eally good game with an excellent story and dialogue. its just like watching guardians only a tv series version. combat system is unique and takes a little bit of getting used to. but once you get the flow of it the game is very enjoyable and took me by surprise.
why avengers was not this good is madness
A really fun and refreshing superhero game – no microtransactions, dialogue options and choices that affect the story and really well written and voice acted characters. If you enjoy superhero games and (or) RPG games then you’ll love this!
Great story line with lots of references to the comics
The game takes its humour from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. Fun many hours of game play and a great story line

Not as immersive as other title but still engaging enough to play to a 14yr old
Fantastic game. Bought for my 10 year old son for Christmas and he loves it !

Brought for my nephew and he absolutely loves this game!
I brought it for my little boy and he love i
I got this for 50 and have had a lot of fun, can’t believe it’s now under 15.
For that price would recommend
Honestly I purchased this not expecting much thinking it would be like the launch of Star Wars battlefront 2 with lots of micro transactions which none are necessary however about half the characters in the campaign are more annoying than a crying baby e.g ms marvel and Tony stark but other than these two 10/10. My little one loves this! Even better he can play alone which he prefers
Game is brand new, have read few issues with disc however it should come sealed. Thanks for quick delivery, and game works perfectly.

Bought at a great price and surprisingly good game well pleased.
Have played it for 5mins, can’t wait to get some serious game time.
Bought for gift and they were happy, another fab marvel game
Bought as a Christmas gift. My Son is very pleased.

A good game for the price of 25 pounds, some parts are repetitive but it’s a must have for any Marvel comic fa
Game was ok bit of a grind very repetitive doing missions over & over.
It was a present for someone but they are enjoying it.
Epic at the beginning; brilliant storyline to go with Marvel, but as soon as you get to multiplayer, it goes South.
Fab game great quality graphics. Very very addictive! Perfect Black Friday bargai
Bought for grandsons birthday. Am sure he will love it.
Arrived ahead of time. Well packaged. No complaints.
At first this game glitches and takes a while to get over itself but now my husband enjoys it and says the graphics is good
The story is absolutely amazing. End game content?… ehh… meh. After a while it becomes extremely repetitive doing the same thing over and over again. Bought for my grandson as early Christmas present. He love Marvel and doesn’t have a Marvel Xbox game. So should keep him quiet Christmas Day, haha.
