Seamless setup and use in my Tesla with Playstation controlle
Seamless setup and use in my Tesla with Playstation controlle
works as intended
i will start off saying it works as it should, my switch saw my xbox controller and worked very well.
there was two small problems:
-it disconnected my controller twice but as my controller is RGB the lights were still on and was confused, though that could be my controller
-i was trying to use it for Smash and there was this weird delay in smash attacks, its like it sees the stick move after i already moved it and the timing was off
the second point is more my problem as Smash is one of those games that need quick inputs which maybe this is not built to be quick enough
but i can see it be very useful for anything else, good buy
just not what i personally needed
Adapter klappt super.
Habe einen zweiten Controller angeschlossen und klappt.
Alles wie es soll, schnell und gut.
Doesn't work with new Tesla USB-C
Update: It turns out the new Tesla limits the USB-C ports to charging only. Only the 1 hidden USB-A port in the glovebox can communicate with the vehicle.
The new 2023 Tesla comes with many USB-C ports, but this Magic-NS2 doesn’t work on any of it. It took a lot of my time troubleshooting it. Finally I found out that I have 1 USB-A port hidden in my glove compartment dedicated for the Sentry Mode memory card. This 1 USB-A port works with this adapter but this is unacceptable. Now I know what the problem is, I’ve confirmed this info with some posts by Mayflash.
Bought this to use my PS4 Taiko drums on the Switch and it works perfectly, plug and play.

I’ve used this for two full days to make my XBox controller work with a Nintendo Switch, and I love it! You have to use the Switch’s power button to wake it, then be patient, because pairing takes longer than it seems it should, but once the controller is connected, it works PERFECTLY. Now I have a reliable controller with replaceable batteries, something you just can’t get from Nintendo. (And because I use rechargeable batteries, hot spares are always ready, keeping me 100% wireless.)

Perfect for my controllers
I just couldn’t cope with the native joy cons of the switch so I bought this to use with my Xbox Elite 2 controller and it works flawlessly, at least wired, I tend not to use wireless options. The A – B and X – Y buttons can swapped (you have to do this every time you turn on the Switch but it only takes a couple of seconds, so it’s not an issue) which is so useful because I’m used to a different button setup and I was constantly pressing the wrong buttons on the joy cons. I also tried it with a PS4 controller and that worked too, I didn’t even have to remap the buttons on it. A true (and literal) game-changer.
The NS1 USB dongle will not pair with a brand new XBOX CORE Bluetooth Wireless Controller (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0859XT328) and therefore will not work with my 2022 Tesla Model X. The XBOX controller works perfectly when directly plugged into the car via a USBC cable. I have also test paired the Controller with a real XBOX gaming system as well as to a Windows 10 computer. The controller is working fine. The NS1 may work with PlayStation or other controllers, but not a new XBOX Core controller. The dongle connects to the car ok, I can change the different modes, and I can put it into pairing mode no problem; however, the NS1 will not recognize the XBOX controller and pair with it. The lights on the NS1 flash fast as well as the XBOX controller, but they never sync. I was able to verify that the NS1 I received had the latest firmware. I just ordered the NS2 to see if it will work. I will update this post after I test it.
Update: I received the NS2 and I was able to successfully pair it with the XBOX Core controller. It then worked fine with the Tesla. The Standard NS will likely work as well with the Tesla, but not with the XBOX Core controller. The NS2 works perfectly for me. I wish the posting would go into more detail about what controllers these actually support.
Works perfec
Works as intended to use PS5 controller or Xbox controller on Switch and PS3
A great alternative to Pro Controllers
I love this thing. Ever since my pro controllers weren’t working anymore, I needed an alternative and fast. I love gaming on my Switch, but Nintendo has been making very poor decisions when it comes to controllers. Luckily I heard about these controller recievers and decided to try this one over the other four or so. Was able to pair my Xbox One controller and use it effortlessly. Had this for about well over a year or more, and it still is kicking. Only problem is that sometimes the bluetooth reciever within can delay some controls and add them in without you realizing it till you see it happen on the screen.
Can cover a good amount of distance if you can’t stay in one place too, which is good enough for me. I might buy another one to use for my other consoles or for a backup if this one decides to kick the bucket. A must buy for Switch owners if you want to save money on Switch controllers and switch to either Xbox One or PS4 controllers. It just feels a lot better to use my XB1 pad on my Switch than the pro controller I own.
I had a very difficult time syncing this device to my Xbox Series S/X controller via Bluetooth, it would be recognized and work fine via USB, but it would not sync up no matter what I did. I had no issues connecting my Xbox One controller, DS4 or WiiU Pro Controller via Bluetooth.
I am using this with a standard Nintendo switch, while docked. I set the MAGIC-NS 2 to the Purple LED mode, and adjusted my Switch to use a wired Pro controller, just as the instructions recommended. I would turn on the Series S/X controller, press the sync button on the controller and NS 2 and they would never link up even a few inches away. The NS 2 would stop blinking rapidly and go back to the standard pattern, and the Series S/X controller would continue flashing but at what I’d describe as a medium rate, not rapid like it is after you press the sync button initially, but not at slow as it is when it gives up entirely. I tried unplugging and reconnecting the adapter, and removing the batteries in the controller several times, no change. I reset the Series S/X controller several times too (hold down the sync button for 20+ seconds, it will vibrate to indicate it will reset).
I contacted support and they responded within a few hours with a suggestion to reboot my switch a few times. That did not resolve the issue, however, it led me to discover what the issue was. A smart TV in the other room (Sony Bravia x850C, Android TV 8.0) was asking if I’d like to pair the controller, since I was in the other room, I did not dismiss that request and it might have been hanging on to that Bluetooth connection until the controller would time out and eventually went to sleep.
I turned off the Bluetooth with my IR remote and tried to connect via Bluetooth again, and it immediately connected and it has worked flawlessly ever since. I did notice on several windows 10/11 machines after I had reset the controller, they would pop up a notification to pair to the new controller as well, but that would be dismissed after a few seconds if I did not dismiss them myself. During my initial attempts to sync, I had turned off Bluetooth on those machines and it did not make a difference. So, if you are having similar issues connecting a Series S/X controller to the MAGIC-NS 2 adapter for use with a Nintendo Switch this is what I recommend:
1. Set MAGIC-NS 2 to Switch Pro Mode (Purple LED by holding down the button for 3-5 seconds to cycle through the modes).
2. Reset your Series S/X controller by holding down the reset button for 20+ seconds until it vibrates.
3. Disable or turn off any Bluetooth device within range of the controller. If you live close, or share a wall with your neighbors, I would not dismiss the possibility that your controller could be trying to connect to one of their devices.
3a. If you think that might be the case, I’d try to sync the controller outside or in a car, where the Bluetooth range to those devices would be impaired enough to not interfere. Once you’re out of range, plug the MAGIC-NS 2 into the switch with the included USB-C to USB-A adapter plugged directly into the switch USB-C port on the bottom, and attempt the sync process again. (turn on the Series S/X controller, hold the sync button until it starts blinking rapidly, then press the button on the MAGIC-NS 2). You only need to get them synced once, unless you reset the Series S/X controller, they will be paired and have no issues connecting near those other devices once they are linked together.
4. Profit
The sync process and modes are well documented in their instructions, I figured I’d add it here just in case.
What to expect once they are synced:
You cannot wake the switch by turning on the controller, at least I’ve not been able to do that, with any of the other controllers either. When docked, turn the switch on by pressing the power button, then press the Xbox button to wake the controller. It the Xbox LED will light up as if it’s paired, but there will not be any inputs registered to the console for a few seconds. The controller will vibrate when it is fully connected and ready to go. I think this is what the special note in the manual for the Elite 2 controller is referring to, I had interpreted the note to be what to expect when pairing.
I’ve got several hours on Pokemon Arceus with my Series S/X controller and it’s so much better than using the Joy Cons. Metroid Dread is great with this controller too. The Dead Zone, vibration level adjust and button remap work just as intended. I have the adapter installed inside the dock and am about 15 ft away with the switch screen facing me, so the NS 2 is behind the switch and facing away from me into a wall. I’ve had the Joy Cons drop connection or have delayed reactions at this distance and I’ve not had any hiccups from the NS 2 at this distance with the Series S/X controller.
Overall I am very happy with this product and service so far. The support team was very prompt with their response to me about the issue and happy to help me troubleshoot it, even though it ended up being an issue with the controller and another device.
I hope this info helps someone get set up and gaming faster instead of banging their head against a wall trying to get it to work.
Connects one controller only.
Thought I’d be able to use this with multiple controllers but not the case. However it does the job quite nicely with the one.
Bonjour,
V1.32
1. Compatible with PS5 Controller(The wired and wireless connections are supported)
– The six-axis gyroscope is supported for both wired and wireless connections.
– Rumble function is supported for the wired connection only.
2.Compatible with Xbox Series X/S Controller (Only support the wired connection)
– The rumble function is supported for the wired connection.
– The Bluetooth wireless connection is not supported now.
Bonne journe
Great for saving money, but.....
So I recently purchased a Switch OLED for myself. This was my first console purchase in about a decade as I am primarily a PC gamer. So I was interested to see how my life would fare with the new OLED Switch.
Onto the review:
This little device is fantastic for using a Playstation or Xbox controller on your Switch. Once you read through the instructions, you hold down on the button to switch through the different color LEDs. Each color representing a specific console (Nintendo Switch + OLED model, NEOGEO mini, Windows, PS3, SEGA Mega Drive Mini, SEGA Genesis, and PS Classic Mini), then just do a quick tap of the button to get the pairing underway. The pairing uses Bluetooth.
The pairing itself was alright. Nothing too hard to setup, though at times it would take well over 1-2min to pair correctly. Other times it was less than 10 seconds. Overall, the setup was easy with not much brain power.
The one downside that I have had repeatedly is that there is a lag that I notice when using the motion controls within various Switch games when using my Xbox One controller. It is extremely noticeable and I have damn near lost my mind multiple times because of this lag. Beyond the motion controls, everything else feels fairly fluid. Just getting used to the extremely limited button mapping within Switch games drives me insane.
Overall a fine piece of tech that can help to ease the financial pain of having to purchase new controllers to use on your Switch. Especially if you are not a fan of the Joy-Cons.
Worked like a charm for a PS4 controller on a nintendo switch
So long as you follow the instructions for the Nintendo Pro controller, worked like a charm to hook up a PS4 controller to the switch.
Works grea
A great option if you want to use a different controller on a switch. Remember it can only connect to one controller.
Works great on Switch with xbox controller!
Best reading instructions to pair, not too difficult, although you’ll need to enable USB connected pro controller inputs through the Switch system settings.
Once it’s all set up all buttons will be mapped excluding the screenshot button. Also no motion controls with xbox controller.
It wont wake the console from sleep, but quickly connects automatically once the system is on.
Works well and as expected.
Spo
Does exactly what it says it should, and easy to configure!
Works well
Instructions are comprehensive and it works as it should, only tried wired mode so far though.
Works a trea
PS3 controller working really well on the switch, very easy to set up, and remembers pairing
In love!
I am in love with this piece of tech I can now use my Xbox controller on my Switch. It took a bit of fiddling but saved me a good chunk of money on new switch controllers. I have it set on purple light for my new Switch, the one with better battery, and had to connect briefly with a cable to connect my white Xbox One S controller and then could disconnect the cable but my black Xbox One S controller connected wirelessly straight away. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully, not something I usually do!
Not currently working wirelessly for latest XBox series X controllers (21/11/20)
Should have checked before buying, but unfortunately this unit does not sync wirelessly with the newest XBox series X controller yet (which I also bought recently). It can sync with other older controllers (synced fine with the switch controllers, recognizes it as wired pro controllers instead of joycon), and the afore mentioned XSX controller does work wired.
Good news is that the firmware does seem to get regular updates (latest one on Nov 11 a beta for XSX controller, 10 days before this review) so expect it to work with DS5 and XSX soon.
Other than that, responsiveness is very good on both wired and wireless, no issues.
Works well
Works well but it took some time to figure out how to make the connection and do the pairing because of lack of instructions, no problems otherwise. Also, if you are trying to connect it to a Nintendo switch there are much cheaper and more immediate options out there I wish I knew this before buying.
Handy kit to have
Bit fiddly to figure out the indicator lights but didn’t take too long to get connected. Used to connect an xbox one s controller to switch and it works perfectly. Only annoyance is if left idle for a short time it will disconnect and requires some fiddling to reconnect. Still, works better than expected and useful item to have.
Perfect adapter for razer wolverine
Working perfectly with my razer wolverine ultimate xbox controller on switch. Rumble feels great too which I was worried about after reading some comments. Analogue sticks work perfect as well. 10/10.
UPDATE:
Playstation 4 Controllers DO have the vibration function with the Playstation 3 console once set up properly through the darker blue color on the Mayflash drive! Hold the Mayflash button until you see the darker blue light slowly flash. Then on your PS4 controller hold the PS and Share buttons to put in bluetooth mode. The Mayflash should detect the controller withiin seconds. The Home button on my controller works flawlessly and everything is working great! I was confused into thinking a lighter blue color was the blue color. When setting up the Mayflash drive there are several blue colors to choose from. I have noticed a bit of latency sometimes when scrolling through the Playstation 3 menu, but that is probably because of the PS3’s console memory and I’m sitting about 8 feet away from the Playstation 3 console. Now the only complaint I have is having to buy another Mayflash drive for my PC because I don’t want to disconnect from my Playstation 3 and have to reconfigure each time for the PC and PS3.
Gone are the days of having to always configure a controller using a faulty bluetooth device and being tied to a USB connection or cord. I originally plugged the mayflash usb directly to set up my ps4 controller for PC. After downloading the driver and following the directions to configure for my pc I decided to see if I could use the mayflash on a USB extension that would reach near my recliner about halfway across my bedroom. I’ve been using the mayflash for three weeks without any hiccups. An amazing bonus feature I didn’t notice about the Mayflash is there is an external USB built into the adapter that I have been using to charge my PS4 controller after I finish playing a game. There is one flaw that I didn’t like. I tried playing with my Playstation 3 and while my PS4 does detect the controller it does not have any vibration features and also the Home button is not detected. It may not be a deal breaker for some users but thought I would mention that anyway. There is an update I wrote above of getting this to work properly. I synced the controller using the wrong setup color on the device because I didn’t know there are different color variants of blue.
Works well with Xbox One controlle
Works well with XB controller, had some drifting issues at first but after calibrating it, the issues were gone.
Recommended.
Exactly what I needed
Perfect and everything I needed! Works great with my ps4 controllers wirelessly and is compatible with my new scuf impact, albeit it needs to be plugged it but I don’t mind.
Amazing amazing amazing
Omg what a device amazing worth every penny going to buy a second so I can leave one in my switch dock and the other in my pc
PS4 dual shock 4 controller paired straight away, no fuss
A breeze to set up, didn’t need any firmware updates or settings changed, literally just plugged it in, paired the PS4 controller via USB, then unplugged controller and off we go. Now I just turn on the Switch, the mayflash flashes a red light searching for the controller, and as soon as I turn the controller on, bam, locks on and I’m in business. Very happy with this.
Connects PS4 controller and Xbox controlle
Great adapter to connect the support controllers to your switch. If you have a PS3 or PS4 controller it will work wireless with this adapter but for xbox controllers, only the XBOX ONE S will work wireless with this adapter. If you have a wireless xbox 360 controller and happen to have the xbox 360 wireless USB dongle (for PC), this will work wireless with the Magic NS as well. Just plug the dongle to the Magic NS usb port. If you have xbox one (non bluetooth controller) and also happen to have the xbox one wireless PC dongle. This won’t work! The Magic NS won’t recognise (or power up) the dongle. At the moment only can use the xbox one (non bluetooth) controller using a USB wired cable connected to the Magic NS adapter.
Works as described
Great product easy to use plug and play quite literally
