Very easy to use – if you’re not sure how to use the bits and bobs, there is a guide inside, or you could youtube it. Beautiful colours, easy to apply. Only did mine a few days ago, but they feel professionally done. Very impressed!
Wow I could actually do a really good job! I’m so rubbish at nails but this is going to save me a fortune and I can just do the nails myself! Yay!!
Having been getting my nails done professionally for twenty years, I never imagined I’d be doing my own nails ever again but alas lockdown came and went three times and lifestyles have changed.
At first I borrowed an inferior kit to this one, and was grossly disappointed so much that I was almost put off for good. But given I could not be bothered to sit in the nail shop for three hours and the reviews for this kit were so good, I gave in and decided to order it and I haven’t looked back!
To echo what others say here – preparation is key to getting lasting nails. You HAVE to buff the nails and you HAVE to build the opacity with layers of thin coats. It is the thick gloopy coats that chip and peel!
What I noticed about the gel compared to normal nail polish is that if you peel a bit that’s dried on your skin it will keep peeling and take the whole nail off with it! In this event I have found to lift it off the skin ever so slightly and file it back to the nail. Although after the first instance I did consider to be less sloppy with the polish on future applications.
It is a learning curve and you get better with practice.
My first application with this kit, I got two weeks wear. Even if I’d been to the nail shop, they’d be grown out by this point anyway.
Im really pleased with my nails and actually look forward to taking a bit of time out and doing them, knowing I can change my polish to suit my outfit or mood.
All 4 colours are lovely and went on really smooth and easy. The LED light seems to do its job. Nice to have the nail prep and polish with lint free pads. The nail buffer is pretty cheap and basic so will need to get a better one. Haven’t tried the nail varnish remover yet but the cuticle oil was a nice finishing touch to give really professional results. All in all worth the investment!
I have never done my nails at home before, so was a little nervous, I went on lots of utube tutorials and then learnt that a very thin amount of gel polish is the way to go.
Very easy to use with great results and will pay for itself in three goes! Sorry nail salon.. I won’t be back .xxx
It is easy to use and even when my hand shakes a bit while doing my right hand using my left. Gel covers evenly and dries up very well under the lamp.
I asked my hubby for this for Christmas to save me some money on having it done ‘professionally’, it’s turned into quite a therapeutic hobby doing my own nails, started to add to this kit with more Mylee gel polishes and extra bits and bobs, I love it, this kit has been so easy to use, it looks fab and I’ve had no issues with the nails lasting weeks, it had everything I needed to start out doing my own nails, highly recommend
I have wanted this kit for years and when I won employee of the month at work recently I got a Amazon gift voucher and I just went with it. I have already saved so much money and am getting better with each set that I do.
The only tip I have is, do your prep. Prep your nails and the rest is easy. Follow the instructions to the letter and in a few weeks nobody will be able to tell the difference between you doing them and having them done in the salon.
This is a great day to day product and was great value for money as they were quality products for the money
OMG. I’ve been wanting one of these lamps for years and bought one in the black Friday sales. Although I was very nervous using it, it was very easy after watching a youtube video. Love the results. Used it on my daughters nails too. she was also very impressed with the results
This was easier than I thought and saves a lot of money doing it yourself. Went on smoothly and has a brilliant shine. The bottles of varnish do not look like they are full but can easily buy more… Apart from that it seems a great product. Not sure how long it lasts as only had it on for 2 days. Will update in due course.
Do you know how much money I’ve saved since buying this? Hundreds already in this past couple of months. I’ve gotten pretty good at using the polishes aswell, so my nails only get prettier. It does take AGES removing gel polish but the application is so quick.
